Proteome analysis of hepatic non-parenchymal cells of immune liver fibrosis rats显示文摘Elucidation of the mechanisms of liver fibrogenesis is important to treat liver fibrosis. In this study,we established rat models of liver fibrosis with stages from 0–1,2,and 3–4 to 4 at 2,4,6,and 8 weeks, respectively,by injection of pig serum.Liver fibrogenesis was detected by Masson’s trichrome staining.Rat non-parenchymal cells(NPCs)were enriched 4-fold by Percoll density gradient centrifugation.Protein extracts from NPCs were prepared at 4 and 8 weeks, separated by two-dimensional electrophoresis, and then stained with Coomassie Blue G-250.At 4 weeks,we identified 18 non-redundant differentially expressed proteins of which protein disulfide-isomerase associated protein 3(PDIA3)and NDUV showed consistent expression at protein and mRNA levels from 4 to 8 weeks.PDIA3 was found to be down-regulated by Western blotting in the rat model and immunohistochemically in human liver. Our results revealed important aspects of the pathogenesis/progression of liver fibrosis and demonstrated important changes in protein expression levels of NPCs at various stages of liver fibrosis. | ZHAO QianQian FENG YanLing JIA XiaoFang YIN Lin ZHENG Ye OUYANG DongSheng ZHOU HongHao ZHANG LiJun | 2014 | Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,3: | 5
From waste of marine culture to natural patch in cardiac tissue engineering显示文摘Sea squirt,as a highly invasive species and main biofouling source in marine aquaculture, has seriously threatened the biodiversity and aquaculture economy. On the other hand,a conductive biomaterial with excellent biocompatibility, and appropriate mechanical property from renewable resources is urgently required for tissue engineering patches. To meet these targets,we presented a novel and robust strategy for sustainable development aiming at the marine pollution via recycling and upgrading the waste biomass-sea squirts and serving as a renewable resource for functional bio-scaffold patch in tissue engineering. We firstly demonstrated that the tunic cellulose derived natural self-conductive scaffolds successfully served as functional cardiac patches, which significantly promote the maturation and spontaneous contraction of cardiomyocytes both in vitro and enhance cardiac function of MI rats in vivo.We believe this novel, feasible and“Trash to Treasure”strategy to gain cardiac patches via recycling the waste biomass must be promising and beneficial for marine environmental bio-pollution issue and sustainable development considering the large-scale consumption potential for tissue engineering and other applications. | Yutong He Honghao Hou Shuqi Wang Rurong Lin Leyu Wang Lei Yu Xiaozhong Qiu | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,7: | 2

Scorpion-inspired dual-bionic,microcrack-assisted wrinkle based laser induced graphene-silver strain sensor with high sensitivity and broad working range for wireless health monitoring system显示文摘Scorpions, through ruthless survival of the fittest, evolve the unique ability to quickly locate and hunt prey with slit receptors near the leg joints and a sharp sting on the multi-freedom tail.Inspired by this fantastic creature,we herein report a dual-bionic strategy to fabricate microcrack-assisted wrinkle strain sensor with both high sensitivity and stretchability.Specifically, laserinduced graphene(LIG)is transferred from polyimide film to Ecoflex and then coated with silver paste using the casting-andpeeling and prestretch-and-release methods. The shape-adaptive and long-range ordered geometry(e.g.,amplitude and wavelength)of dual-bionic structure is prestrain-tuned to optimize the superfast response time(~76 ms),high sensitivity(gauge factor=223.6),broad working range(70%–100%),and good reliability(>800 cycles)of scorpion-inspired strain sensor, outperforming many LIG-based materials and other bionic sensors. The alternate reconnect/disconnect behaviors of slit-organlike microcracks in the mechanical weak areas initiate tremendous resistance changes, whereas the scorpion-tail-like wrinkles act as a“bridge”connecting the adjacent LIG resistor units, enabling reversible resilience and unimpeded electrical linkages over a wide strain range.Combined with the self-developed miniaturized, flexible, and all-in-one wireless transmission system,a variety of scenarios such as large body movements, tiny pulse, and heartbeat are real-time monitored via bluetooth and displayed in the client-sides,revealing a huge promise in future wearable electronics. | Wentao Wang Longsheng Lu Xiaoyu Lu Zhanbo Liang Honghao Lin Zehong Li Xiaohua Wu Lihui Lin Yingxi Xie | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 0
Realizing n-type CdSb with promising thermoelectric performance显示文摘Realizing high performance in both n-type and p-type materials is essential for designing efficient ther-moelectric devices. However, the doping bottleneck is often encountered,i.e.,only one type of conduction can be realized. As one example,p-type CdSb with high thermoelectric performance has been discovered for several decades, while its n-type counterpart has rarely been reported. In this work, the calculated band structure of CdSb demonstrates that the valley degeneracy is as large as ten for the conduction band, and it is only two for the valence band. Therefore, the n-type CdSb can potentially realize an ex-ceptional thermoelectric performance.Experimentally, the n-type conduction has been successfully real-ized by tuning the stoichiometry of CdSb.By further doping indium at the Cd site,an improved room-temperature electron concentration has been achieved.Band modeling predicts an optimal electron con-centration of∼2.0×1019 cm−3,which is higher than the current experimental values. Therefore, future optimization of the n-type CdSb should mainly focus on identifying practical approaches to optimize the electron concentration. | Peng Zhao Honghao Yao Shizhen Zhi Xiaojing Ma Zuoxu Wu Yijie Liu Xinyu Wang Li Yin Zongwei Zhang Shuaihang Hou Xiaodong Wang Siliang Chen Chen Chen Xi Lin Haoliang Liu Xingjun Liu Feng Cao Qian Zhang Jun Mao | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,13: | 0
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 7 | Genome-wide analysis identify novel germline genetic variations in ADCY1 influencing platinum-based chemotherapy response in nonsmall cell lung cancer显示文摘To explore the pharmacogenomic markers that affect the platinum-based chemotherapy response in non-small-cell lung carcinoma(NSCLC),we performed a two-cohort of genome-wide association studies(GWAS),including 34 for WES-based and 433 for microarray-based analyses,as well as two independent validation cohorts. After integrating the results of two studies, the genetic variations related to the platinum-based chemotherapy response were further determined by fine-mapping in 838 samples, and their potential functional impact were investigated by eQTL analysis and in vitro cell experiments. We found that a total of 68 variations were significant at P<1×10^(-3)in cohort 1 discovery stage,of which 3 SNPs were verified in 262 independent samples.A total of541 SNPs were significant at P<1×10^(-4)in cohort 2 discovery stage,of which 8 SNPs were verified in 347 independent samples.Comparing the validated SNPs in two GWAS,ADCY1 gene was verified in both independent studies. The results of fine-mapping showed that the G allele carriers of ADCY1rs2280496 and C allele carriers of rs189178649 were more likely to be resistant to platinum-based chemotherapy. In conclusion, our study found that rs2280496 and rs189178649 in ADCY1 gene were associated the sensitivity of platinum-based chemotherapy in NSCLC patients. | Chenxue Mao Juan Chen Ting Zou Yuankang Zhou Junyan Liu Xi Li Xiangping Li Min Li Pinhua Pan Wei Zhuo Yang Gao Shuo Hu Desheng Xiao Lin Wu Zhan Wang Heng Xu Wen Yang Yingjie Xu Haihua Xiao Kazuhiko Hanada Wei Zhang Honghao Zhou Jiye Yin Zhaoqian Liu | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3: | 0
Geometric Accuracy and Energy Absorption Characteristics of 3D Printed Continuous Ramie Fiber Reinforced Thin-Walled Composite Structures显示文摘The application of continuous natural fibers as reinforcement in composite thin-walled structures offers a feasible approach to achieve light weight and high strength while remaining environmentally friendly. In addition, additive manufacturing technology provides a favorable process foundation for its realization. In this study, the printability and energy absorption properties of 3D printed continuous fiber reinforced thin-walled structures with different configurations were investigated. The results suggested that a low printing speed and a proper layer thickness would mitigate the printing defects within the structures. The printing geometry accuracy of the structures could be further improved by rounding the sharp corners with appropriate radii. This study successfully fabricated structures with vari-ous configurations characterized by high geometric accuracy through printing parameters optimization and path smoothing. Moreover, the compressive property and energy absorption characteristics of the structures under quasi-static axial compression were evaluated and compared. It was found that all studied thin-walled structures exhibited progressive folding deformation patterns during compression. In particular, energy absorption process was achieved through the combined damage modes of plastic deformation, fiber pullout and delamination.Furthermore, the com-parison results showed that the hexagonal structure exhibited the best energy absorption performance. The study revealed the structure-mechanical property relationship of 3D printed continuous fiber reinforced composite thin-walled structures through the analysis of multiscale failure characteristics and load response, which is valuable for broadening their applications. | Kui Wang Hao Lin Antoine Le Duigou Ruijun Cai Yangyu Huang Ping Cheng Honghao Zhang Yong Peng | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2023,36,6: | 0
High-Resolution Data on Human Behavior for Effective COVID-19 Policy-Making—Wuhan City,Hubei Province,China,January 1–February 29,2020显示文摘Introduction:High-resolution data is essential for understanding the complexity of the relationship between the spread of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),resident behavior, and interventions, which could be used to inform policy responses for future prevention and control. Methods:We obtained high-resolution human mobility data and epidemiological data at the community level. We propose a metapopulation Susceptible-Exposed-Presymptomatic-Infectious-Removal(SEPIR)compartment model to utilize the available data and explore the internal driving forces of COVID-19 transmission dynamics in the city of Wuhan.Additionally,we will assess the effectiveness of the interventions implemented in the smallest administrative units(subdistricts)during the lockdown. Results:In the Wuhan epidemic of March 2020,intra-subdistrict transmission caused 7.6 times more infections than inter-subdistrict transmission. After the city was closed, this ratio increased to 199 times. The main transmission path was dominated by population activity during peak evening hours.Discussion:Restricting the movement of people within cities is an essential measure for controlling the spread of COVID-19.However,it is difficult to contain intra-street transmission solely through citywide mobility restriction policies. This can only be accomplished by quarantining communities or buildings with confirmed cases, and conducting mass nucleic acid testing and enforcing strict isolation protocols for close contacts. | Jingyuan Wang Honghao Shi Jiahao Ji Xin Lin Huaiyu Tian | 2023 | China CDC weekly2023,5,4: | 0
