1Cu–Mn–Ce ternary mixed-oxide catalysts for catalytic combustion of toluene显示文摘Cu–Mn, Cu–Mn–Ce, and Cu–Ce mixed-oxide catalysts were prepared by a citric acid sol–gel method and then characterized by XRD, BET, H_2-TPR and XPS analyses. Their catalytic properties were investigated in the toluene combustion reaction. Results showed that the Cu–Mn–Ce ternary mixed-oxide catalyst with 1:2:4 mole ratios had the highest catalytic activity, and 99% toluene conversion was achieved at temperatures below 220°C. In the Cu–Mn–Ce catalyst, a portion of Cu and Mn species entered into the Ce O_2 fluorite lattice, which led to the formation of a ceria-based solid solution. Excess Cu and Mn oxides existed on the surface of the ceria-based solid solution. The coexistence of Cu–Mn mixed oxides and the ceria-based solid solution resulted in a better synergetic interaction than the Cu–Mn and Cu–Ce catalysts, which promoted catalyst reducibility, increased oxygen mobility, and enhanced the formation of abundant active oxygen species.Hanfeng Lu Xianxian Kong Haifeng Huang Ying Zhou Yinfei Chen 2015Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,6:31
2Catalytic combustion of VOCs on Pt/CuMnCe and Pt/CeY honeycomb monolithic catalysts显示文摘The metal oxides CuMnCe and CeY washcoats on cordierite were prepared using an impregnation method, and then used as support for the active Pt component to prepare the Pt/CuMnCe and Pt/CeY monolithic catalysts for the deep oxidation of VOCs. In comparison with the Pt/CeY, CuMnCe, and CeY monolithic catalysts, the Pt/CuMnCe monolithic catalyst shows an excellent performance for toluene,ethyl acetate,and n-hexane oxidation and the T_(90%) is low to 216, 200 and 260 ℃,respectively. 3Hierarchical pore structure of activated carbon fabricated by CO_2/microwave for volatile organic compounds adsorption显示文摘An activated carbon pore-expanding technique was achieved through innovative reactivation by CO_2/microwave.The original and modified activated carbons were characterized by nitrogen adsorption–desorption,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microcopy,and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The mesopore volume increased from 0.122 cm^3·g^(-1) to 0.270 cm^3·g^(-1),and a hierarchical pore structure was formed.A gradual decrease in the phenolic hydroxyl and carboxyl groups on the surface of activated carbon enhanced the surface inertia of granular activated carbon(GAC).The toluene desorption rate of the modified sample increased by 8.81% compared with that of the original GAC.Adsorption isotherm fittings revealed that the Langmuir model was applicable for the original and modified activated carbons.The isosteric adsorption heat of toluene on the activated carbon decreased by approximately 50%,which endowed the modified sample with excellent stability in application.The modified samples showed an enhanced desorption performance of toluene,thereby opening a way to extend the cycle life and improve the economic performance of carbon adsorbent in practical engineering applications.Wenjuan Qiu Kang Dou Ying Zhou Haifeng Huang Yinfei Chen Hanfeng Lu 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,1:16

5Water Quality Evaluation in Tidal River Reaches of Liaohe River Estuary, China Using a Revised QUAL2K Model显示文摘Rivers in the Liaohe River Estuary area have been seriously polluted by discharges of wastewater containing petroleum pol- lutants and nutrients. In this paper, The Enhanced Stream Water Quality Model (QUAL2K) and its revised model as well as One-dimensional Tide Mean Model (1D model) were applied to predict and assess the water quality of the tidal river reach of the Liaohe River Estuary. Dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) and total phosphorus (TP) were chosen as water quality indices in the two model simulations. The modelled results show that the major reasons for degraded rivers remain petroleum and non-point source pollution. Tidal water also has a critical effect on the variation of water quality. The sensitivity analysis identifies that flow rate, point load and diffuse load are the most sensitive parameters for the four water quality indices in the revised QUAL2K simulation. Uncertainty analysis based on a Monte Carlo simulation gives the probability distribution of the four water quality indices at two locations (6.50 km and 44.84 km from the river mouth). 7Adsorption/desorption of toluene on a hypercrosslinked polymeric resin in a highly humid gas stream显示文摘In many sources of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), large amounts of water vapor come from the air and the reactors. The relative humidity (RH) of exhaust gas is normally >60% and is supersaturated. Maintaining the property of adsorbent on VOCs in a highly humid gas stream is a serious industrial problem. In this study, the adsorption/desorption behavior of toluene in a micro-mesoporous polymeric resin was investigated in a highly humid environment to explore the influence of abound water vapor on resin adsorption and regeneration. This resin could selectively adsorb toluene at an RH of 80%, and its adsorption property was unaffected by the presence of water vapor. In the case of humidity saturation, the resin displayed a high adsorption capacity at a moisture content of <30%. Therefore, the polymer resin is an excellent water-resistant adsorbent of VOCs. In the regenerative experiment, the resin maintained its original adsorption capability after four adsorption/ desorption cycles of toluene purging with nitrogen gas at 120℃. 8Is new American Thyroid Association risk classification for hereditary medullary thyroid carcinoma applicable to Chinese patients? A single-center study显示文摘Objective: The American Thyroid Association(ATA) proposed a new risk classification for hereditary medullary thyroid carcinoma(MTC) in 2015. This study aimed to assess whether the new guidelines are suitable for the Chinese population, and reported our experience on prophylactic thyroidectomy.Methods: A total of 73 patients from 22 families were screened as rearranged during transfection(RET) mutation carriers from 2010 to 2016 in Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Science; the medical history for each patient was collected. Based on the initial treatment, we identified the risk factors for poor prognosis by univariate and multivariate logistic regression. Then, 4 RET mutation carriers were enrolled for prophylactic thyroidectomy,and their pathological data and follow-up outcomes were recorded.Results: In univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses, age at initial surgery and risk classification were significant risk factors for stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ hereditary MTC at initial diagnosis. The likelihood was increased by 11.6% per year of age at initial surgery [95% confidence interval(95% CI), 1.040–1.198; P=0.002). It was 7.888 times more likely to have Ⅲ/Ⅳ stage disease for ATA highest risk patients, compared to ATA moderate risk individuals(95% CI, 1.607–38.717; P=0.003). Postoperative pathological results showed all 4 multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2A(MEN2A) patients had C-cell hyperplasia(CCH); multifocal malignancies were detected in 3 of them. All 4 patients were cured biochemically, and none developed permanent hypoparathyroidism.Conclusions: In Chinese individuals, hereditary MTC aggressiveness is in line with the new ATA risk classification. 9Preparation of hydrophobic hierarchical pore carbon–silica composite and its adsorption performance toward volatile organic compounds显示文摘Carbon–silica materials with hierarchical pores consisting of micropores and mesopores were prepared by introducing nanocarbon microspheres derived from biomass sugar into silica gel channels in a hydrothermal environment.The physicochemical properties of the materials were characterized by nitrogen physical adsorption(BET),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and thermogravimetric(TG),and the adsorption properties of various organic waste gases were investigated.The results showed that microporous carbon materials were introduced successfully into the silica gel channels,thus showing the high adsorption capacity of activated carbon in high humidity organic waste gas,and the high stability and mechanical strength of the silica gel.The dynamic adsorption behavior confirmed that the carbon–silica material had excellent adsorption capacity for different volatile organic compounds(VOCs).Furthermore,the carbon–silica material exhibited excellent desorption characteristics:adsorbed toluene was completely desorbed at 150℃,thereby showing superior regeneration characteristics.Both features were attributed to the formation of hierarchical pores.Xiaoai Lu Junqian He Jing Xie Ying Zhou Shuo Liu Qiulian Zhu Hanfeng Lu 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,1:4
10Promoting effect of vanadium on catalytic activity of Pt/Ce–Zr–O diesel oxidation catalysts显示文摘A series of Pt–V/Ce–Zr–O diesel oxidation catalysts was prepared using the impregnation method. The catalytic activity and sulfur resistance of Pt–V/Ce–Zr–O were investigated in the presence of simulated diesel exhaust. The effect of vanadium on the structure and redox properties of the catalysts was also investigated using the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller method,X-ray diffraction, H2temperature-programmed reduction, CO temperature-programmed desorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy. Results showed that the Pt particles were well dispersed on the Ce–Zr–O carrier through the vanadium isolation effect, which significantly improved the oxidation activity toward CO and hydrocarbons. 11Effect of Ni-V loading on the performance of hollow anatase TiO2 in the catalytic combustion of dichloromethane显示文摘A catalyst based on mixed V-Ni oxides supported on TiO2(Ni-V/TiO2)was obtained using the sol-gel method.Its catalytic performance relative to dichloromethane(DCM)degradation was investigated.Characterization and analysis were conducted using transmission electron microscopy,H2 temperature-programmed reduction,pyridine-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)characterization,and X-ray diffraction.Results showed that the original hollow anatase structure of pure TiO2 was well-maintained after Ni-V loading.The loading of NiO-VOx not only significantly improved the stability of pure TiO2 but also inhibited the formation of the by-product monochloromethane(MCM).Among the series of Ni-V/TiO2 catalysts,4%Ni-V/TiO2 possessed the highest catalytic activity,with 90%DCM conversion at only 203℃.No by-products and no significant changes in the catalytic activity were observed during combustion of DCM after 100 hr of a continuous stability test.Furthermore,thermogravimetric analysis(O2-TG)and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS)characterization of the used 4%Ni-V/TiO2 catalyst revealed that no coke deposition or chlorine species could be detected on the catalyst surface.Bing Zhou Xixiong Zhang Yong Wang Jing Xie Kang Xi Ying Zhou Hanfeng Lu 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10:3
12An Improved Test Method and Numerical Analysis for Crack Opening Resistance of FRC Round Determinate Panels显示文摘This paper presents a numerical analysis of a material test program investigating the crack opening properties of fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) round determinate panels (RDP). The objective of this research is to set up a modified RDP test method to improve the current ASTM C1550 test method for FRC and fibre reinforced shotcrete (FRS) composite. By this test method, light small-diameter panels are applied and more crack informa-tion can be obtained by a new rotation angle measuring technique. It is shown that this modified test method can be used to effec-tively evaluate the crack opening resistance of FRC. The finite element analysis was then performed to clarify the crack propaga-tions and failure mode of FRC RDP panels. 13Integration of full-length transcriptomics and targeted metabolomics to identify benzylisoquinoline alkaloid biosynthetic genes in Corydalis yanhusuo显示文摘Corydalis yanhusuo W.T.Wang is a classic herb that is frequently used in traditional Chinese medicine and is efficacious in promoting blood circulation,enhancing energy,and relieving pain.Benzylisoquinoline alkaloids(BIAs)are the main bioactive ingredients in Corydalis yanhusuo.However,few studies have investigated the BIA biosynthetic pathway in C.yanhusuo,and the biosynthetic pathway of species-specific chemicals such as tetrahydropalmatine remains unclear.We performed full-length transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses to identify candidate genes that might be involved in BIA biosynthesis and identified a total of 101 full-length transcripts and 19 metabolites involved in the BIA biosynthetic pathway.Moreover,the contents of 19 representative BIAs in C.yanhusuo were quantified by classical targeted metabolomic approaches.Their accumulation in the tuber was consistent with the expression patterns of identified BIA biosynthetic genes in tubers and leaves,which reinforces the validity and reliability of the analyses.Full-length genes with similar expression or enrichment patterns were identified,and a complete BIA biosynthesis pathway in C.yanhusuo was constructed according to these findings.Phylogenetic analysis revealed a total of ten enzymes that may possess columbamine-O-methyltransferase activity,which is the final step for tetrahydropalmatine synthesis.Our results span the whole BIA biosynthetic pathway in C.yanhusuo.Our full-length transcriptomic data will enable further molecular cloning of enzymes and activity validation studies.Dingqiao Xu Hanfeng Lin Yuping Tang Lu Huang Jian Xu Sihui Nian Yucheng Zhao 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2

15Status and Opportunities of Zinc Ion Hybrid Capacitors: Focus on Carbon Materials, Current Collectors, and Separators显示文摘Zinc ion hybrid capacitors(ZIHCs), which integrate the features of the high power of supercapacitors and the high energy of zinc ion batteries, are promising competitors in future electrochemical energy storage applications. Carbon-based materials are deemed the competitive candidates for cathodes of ZIHC due to their cost-effectiveness, high electronic conductivity, chemical inertness, controllable surface states, and tunable pore architectures. In recent years, great research efforts have been devoted to further improving the energy density and cycling stability of ZIHCs. Reasonable modification and optimization of carbon-based materials offer a remedy for these challenges. In this review, the structural design, and electrochemical properties of carbon-based cathode materials with different dimensions, as well as the selection of compatible, robust current collectors and separators for ZIHCs are discussed. 16Concentrations and Sources of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Topsoil of Benxi City, Northeast China显示文摘Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) contamination of topsoil in Benxi City, Northeast China was investigated in this study, and sampling sites were located in industrial area and residential area. Results demonstrate that there is high variability in the total PAHs concentrations, ranging from 783.00 ng/g to 729 076.29 ng/g dry weight in the topsoil of Benxi City and the pollution in industrial area is the most serious. The results also present that higher molecular weight PAHs (4–6 rings) contribute substantially (79.03%) to the overall content of PAHs. The PAHs sources were determined with factor analysis by nonnegative constraints, and the results show that PAHs originating from traffic tunnel, power plant, coke oven and residential emission sources, account for 27.10%, 40.81%, 20.11% and 11.98%, respectively, of the total. The PAHs pollution is the most serious around Benxi Iron and Steel Group Corporation, and the PAHs mainly originate from coke oven and traffic tunnel, with the average contribution rate of 57.40% and 42.60%, respectively. 18One-step synthesis of graphitic-C_3N_4/ZnS composites for enhanced supercapacitor performance显示文摘A series of graphitic-C_3N_4/ZnS(g-C_3N_4/ZnS) supercapacitor electrode materials have been prepared via a one-step calcination process of zinc acetate/thiourea with different mass ratios under nitrogen atmosphere. The optimized g-C_3N_4/ZnS composite shows a highest specific capacitance of 497.7 F/g at 1 A/g and good cycling stability with capacitance retention of 80.4% at 5 A/g after 1000 cycles. Moreover, gC_3N4/ZnS composites display an improved supercapacitor performance in terms of specific capacitance compared to the pure g-C_3N_4 and ZnS. In addition, our designed symmetric supercapacitor device based on g-C_3N_4/ZnS composite electrodes can exhibit an energy density of 10.4 Wh/kg at a power density of 187.3 W/kg. 20Conversion of hydroxide into carbon-coated phosphide using plasma for sodium ion batteries显示文摘Transition metal phosphides(TMPs)are promising candidates for sodium ion battery anode materials because of their high theoretical capacity and earth abundance.Similar to many other P-based conversion type electrodes,TMPs suffer from large volumetric expansion upon cycling and thus quick performance fading.Moreover,TMPs are easily oxidized in air,resulting in a surface phosphate layer that not only decreases the electric conductivity but also hinders the Na ion transport.In this work,we present a general electrode design that overcomes these two major challenges facing TMPs.Using metal hydroxide and glucose as precursors,we show that the metal hydroxide can be converted into phosphide whereas the glucose simultaneously decomposes and forms carbon shell on the phosphide particles under a plasma ambient.Ni2P@C core shell structures as a proof-of-concept are designed and synthesized.The in situ formed carbon shell protects the Ni2P from oxidation.Moreover,the high-energy plasma introduces porosity and vacancies to the Ni2P and more importantly produces phosphorus-rich nickel phosphides(NiPx).As a result,the Ni2P@C electrodes achieve high sodium capacity(693 mAh·g^(−1) after 50 cycles at 100 mA·g^(−1))and excellent cyclability(steady capacity maintained for at least 1,500 cycles).Our work provides a general strategy for enhancing the sodium storage performance of TMPs,and in general many other conversion type electrode materials that are unstable in air and suffer from large volumetric changes upon cycling.Jin Liang Guoyin Zhu Yizhou Zhang Hanfeng Liang Wei Huang 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:2
