1Weathering of Pisha-Sandstones in the Wind-Water Erosion Crisscross Region on the Loess Plateau显示文摘Two types of pisha-sandstones of purple sandstones and gray sandstones,widely distributing in the wind-water erosion crisscross region of China,were selected and used in laboratory experiments for a better understanding of the drying-wetting-freezing weathering process resulting from the apportionment of water or salt solution to rock samples.Weathering experiments were carried out under the conditions of environment control(including temperature,moisture and salt solution).All rock samples were frequently subjected to 140 drying-wetting-freezing cycles.The influences of weathering process were evaluated.It was found that the different treatments of moisture and salt solution applications could affect the nature of the weathering products resulting from drying-wetting-freezing.It was also observed that salt solution could effectively alleviate the weathering of pisha-sandstones.Although not all the observations could be explained,it was apparent that simulated environmental factors had both direct and indirect effects on the weathering of rocks.NI Hanbin ZHANG Liping ZHANG Dengrong WU Xiyuan FU Xingtao 2008Journal of Mountain Science2008,5,4:11
2Hyperledger fabric-based consortium blockchain for construction quality information management显示文摘Lack of trust has been an ongoing issue for decades in construction quality management,hindering the improvement of quality performance.The development of mutual trust depends on immutable,traceable,and transparent construction quality information records.However,current information technologies cannot meet the requirements.To address the challenge,this study explores a blockchain-based framework for construction quality information management,which extends applications of blockchain in the domain of construction quality management.A consortium blockchain system is designed to support construction quality management in which participants’information permissions and lifecycle are discussed.Additionally,this study presents in detail the consensus process that aims to address the problem of information fraud.The automated compliance checking based on smart contracts is presented as well,aiming to assure that construction products meet regulation requirements.Finally,an example of the consortium blockchain network is visualized to validate the feasibility of blockchain-based construction quality information management.The research shows that blockchain can facilitate mutual trust in construction quality management by providing distributed,encrypted,and secure information records and supporting automated compliance checking of construction quality.Botao ZHONG Haitao WU Lieyun DING Hanbin LUO Ying LUO Xing PAN 2020Frontiers of Engineering Management2020,7,4:4
3Tiny noise,big mistakes:adversarial perturbations induce errors in brain-computer interface spellers显示文摘An electroencephalogram(EEG)-based brain-computer interface(BCI)speller allows a user to input text to a computer by thought.It is particularly useful to severely disabled individuals,e.g.amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients,who have no other effective means of communication with another person or a computer.Most studies so far focused on making EEG-based BCI spellers faster and more reliable;however,few have considered their security.This study,for the first time,shows that P300 and steady-state visual evoked potential BCI spellers are very vulnerable,i.e.they can be severely attacked by adversarial perturbations,which are too tiny to be noticed when added to EEG signals,but can mislead the spellers to spell anything the attacker wants.The consequence could range from merely user frustration to severe misdiagnosis in clinical applications.We hope our research can attract more attention to the security of EEG-based BCI spellers,and more broadly,EEG-based BCIs,which has received little attention before.Xiao Zhang Dongrui Wu Lieyun Ding Hanbin Luo Chin-Teng Lin Tzyy-Ping Jung Ricardo Chavarriaga 2021National Science Review2021,8,4:2

13Ultrasensitive,flexible perovskite nanowire photodetectors with long-term stability exceeding 5000 h显示文摘Photodetectors(PDs)based on perovskite nanowires are among the most promising next-generation photodetection technologies;however,their poor long-term stability is the biggest challenge limiting their commercial applica-tion.Herein,an ionic liquid,1-butyl-3 methylimidazolium tetrafuoroborate(BMIMBF_(4)),is incorporated as an additive into methylammonium lead tri-iodide(MAPbI_(3))nanowires;this not only effectively passivates defects to inhibit perovskite degradation but also leads to the formation of nanochannels,enabling fast charge transfer.As a result,the long-term stability and perfor-mance of MAPbI_(3)nanowires are considerably improved.The detectivity,linear detection range,and noise equivalent power of the MA PbI_(3)nanowire PD reach 2.06×10^(13)Jones,160dB,and 1.38×10^(-15)W Hz-^(1/2),respectively,compara-ble to the highest performance of perovskite nanowire PDs reported to date.Moreover,the unencapsulated PD can maintain 100%of its initial performance after being exposed to an open-air environment for more than 5000 h,esta-blishing it as the most stable perovskite nanowire PD reported to date.Nota-bly,the PD exhibits improved diffuse reflection imaging ability when compared with commercial silicon photodiode S2386.This study provides a new strategy for constructing sensitive,stable,and flexible perovskite PDs and will accelerate their commercial application in the future.Dingjun Wu Yongchang Xu Hai Zhou Xin Feng Jianqiang Zhang Xiyan Pan Zheng Gao Rui Wang Guokun Ma Li Tao Hanbin Wang Jinxia Duan Houzhao Wan Jun Zhang Liangping Shen Hao Wang Tianyou Zhai 2022InfoMat2022,4,9:0
14Experimental evidence for field-induced metamagnetic transition of EuCd_(2)As_(2)显示文摘Recent studies have shown that layered compound EuCd_(2)As_(2) could exhibit diverse topological states depending on the different magnetic structures,such as Weyl semimetal,Dirac semimetal and topological insulato r.In order to further study the interplay between magnetism and topology of EuCd_(2)As_(2),it is necessary to figure out its magnetic structure.Here,by magnetization(M) measurements and negative magnetostriction(λ) along the [001] direction measured by scanning tunneling microscopy on EuCd_(2)As_(2) single crystals,we observe field-induced metamagnetic phase transition from A-type antiferromagnetic(AFM) ground state to field-polarized state,with canted AFM(CAFM) state in between.Magnetization and magnetostriction are more sensitive to the in-plane field than the out-of-plane field,indicating the magnetic moments lying in the ab plane.The absence of abrupt jump on M-H and λ-H curves demonstrates that the phase transition is a second-order type.In CAFM state,M increases linearly with the field and λ is proportional to M~2.Tunneling conductance spectra show the field-induced evolution of the electronic density of states.Our results provide experimental evidence for understanding the magnetic structure of EuCd_(2)As_(2).Yingkai Sun Yong Li Shuaishuai Li Changjiang Yi Hanbin Deng Xin Du Limin Liu Changjiang Zhu Yuan Li Zheng Wang Hanqing Mao Youguo Shi Rui Wu 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,10:0
15Adversarial attacks and defenses in physiological computing:a systematic review显示文摘Physiological computing uses human physiological data as system inputs in real time.It includes,or significantly overlaps with,brain-computer interfaces,affective computing,adaptive automation,health informatics,and physiological signal based biometrics.Physiological computing increases the communication bandwidth from the user to the computer,but is also subject to various types of adversarial attacks,in which the attacker deliberately manipulates the training and/or test examples to hijack the machine learning algorithm output,leading to possible user confusion,frustration,injury,or even death.However,the vulnerability of physiological computing systems has not been paid enough attention to,and there does not exist a comprehensive review on adversarial attacks to them.This study fills this gap,by providing a systematic review on the main research areas of physiological computing,different types of adversarial attacks and their applications to physiological computing,and the corresponding defense strategies.We hope this review will attract more research interests on the vulnerability of physiological computing systems,and more importantly,defense strategies to make them more secure.Dongrui Wu Jiaxin Xu Weili Fang Yi Zhang Liuqing Yang Xiaodong Xu Hanbin Luo Xiang Yu 2023National Science Open2023,2,1:0
