| 1 | Adsorption of mercury on laterite from Guizhou Province,China显示文摘The adsorption behaviors of Hg(Ⅱ) on laterite from Guizhou Province,China,were studied and the adsorption mechanism was discussed.The results showed that different mineral compositons in the laterite will cause differences in the adsorption capacity of laterite to Hg(Ⅱ).Illite and non-crystalloids are the main contributors to enhancing the adsorption capacity of laterite to Hg(Ⅱ).The pH of the solution is an important factor affecting the adsorption of Hg(Ⅱ) on laterite.The alkalescent environment (pH 7-9) is favorable to the adsorption of Hg(Ⅱ).The amount of adsorbed Hg(Ⅱ) increases with increasing pH.When the pH reaches a certain value,the amount of the adsorbed Hg(Ⅱ) will reach the maximum level.The amount of adsorbed Hg(Ⅱ) decreases with increasing pH.The optimal pHs of laterite and kaolinite are 9 and 8,respectively.The optimal initial concentrations of Hg(Ⅱ) on laterite and kaolinite are 250 and 200 μg/ml,respectively.The adsorption isotherms were described by the Langmuir model.The adsorption of Hg(Ⅱ) on laterite is a quick process while that of Hg(Ⅱ) on kaolinite is a slow reaction.Laterite from Guizhou Province is a promising environmental material which can be used in the removal of Hg(Ⅱ) from wastewater. | Xiaohong YU Shouyang HE | 2008 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,11: | 6 |

| 3 | The geochemical characteristics of aqueous rare-earth elements in shallow karst groundwater in Guiyang City, China显示文摘Fifty-seven shallow groundwater samples were collected from Guiyang karst basin, China, to analyze the aqueous rare-earth elements in low-water seasons and it is shown that the total amount of rare-earth elements (ΣREE) in karst groundwater is exceedingly low compared with that in carbonate rocks or weathering crusts of carbonate rocks, and ranges from 0.01 to 0.43, from 0.03 to 0.27, from 0.03 to 0.19 and from 0.05 to 1.38 μg·L-1 for dolomite, dolomitic & limestone, limestone and clastic rock aquifer, respectively. Both distributions and contents of rare-earth elements (REE) in karst groundwater reflect the lithology of host rocks or weathering crusts of carbonate rocks through which groundwater flows. The chondrite-normalized patterns show a non-flat profile with higher enrichment of slightly light rare-earth elements (LREE) than heavy rare-earth elements (HREE), prominent fractionation between LREE and HREE, negative Ce anomalies and negative or positive Eu anomalies. There is more obvious fractionation between LREE and HREE in groundwater than that in carbonate rocks and their weathering crusts due to high contents of HCO3? and PH in groundwater. In shallow karst groundwater, REE(CO3)n2n-3 (n=1 and 2) is the main inorganic species of REE. But for a clastic rock aquifer, both REESO4+ and REECO3+ are the main inorganic species of REE. Results showed that different mineral compositions in the laterite would cause differences in the capacity of laterite to absorb Cr(VI). Gibbsite, iron oxide minerals and non-crystalloids are the main contributors to enhancing the capacity of laterite to absorb Cr(VI). The pH of the solution is an important factor affecting the adsorption of Cr(VI) on laterite. Acidic environment (pH=2-5) is favorable to the adsorption of Cr(VI). The amount of adsorbed Cr(VI) decreases with increasing pH of the solution. With increasing initial concentrations of Cr(VI), the amount of adsorbed Cr(VI) increases first, and then decreases. The optimal adsorption concentration of Cr(VI) on laterite is 250 μg/mL. The adsorption of Cr(VI) on laterite is a rapid process, about 80% Cr(VI) will be adsorbed within 2 hours. | 7 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 8 | Elevated methylmercury production in mercury-contaminated soil and its bioaccumulation in rice:key roles of algal decomposition显示文摘Algal-derived organic matter(AOM)regulates methylmercury(MeHg)fate in aquatic ecosystems,whereas its role in MeHg production and bioaccumulation in Hg-contaminated paddies is unclear.Pot and microcosm experiments were thus performed to understand the response characteristics of MeHg concentrations in soil and rice in different rice-growing periods to algal decomposition.Compared to the control,algal decomposition significantly increased soil water-soluble cysteine concentrations during the rice-tillering and grain-filling periods(P<0.05).It also significantly lowered the molecular weight of soil-dissolved organic matter(SDOM)during the rice-tillering period(P<0.05)and SDOM humification/aromaticity during the grain-filling period.Compared to the control,AOM input increased the abundance of potential Hg and non-Hg methylators in soil.Furthermore,it also greatly increased soil MeHg concentrations by 25.6%-80.2%and 12.6%-66.1%during the rice-tillering and grain-filling periods,with an average of 42.25%and 38.42%,respectively,which were significantly related to the elevated cysteine in soil and the decrease in SDOM molecular weight(P<0.01).In the early stage(within 10 days of microcosm experiments),the MeHg concentrations in decayed algal particles showed a great decrease(P<0.01),suggesting a potential MeHg source in soil.Ultimately,algal decomposition greatly increased the MeHg concentrations and bioaccumulation factors in rice grains,by 72.30%and 16.77%,respectively.Overall,algal decomposition in Hg-contaminated paddies is a non-negligible factor promoting MeHg accumulation in soil-rice systems. | Di Liu Yan Wang Tianrong He Deliang Yin Shouyang He Xian Zhou Yiyuan Xu Enxin Liu | 2023 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,12: | 0 |
| 9 | Private banking development in China under two organizational structures:Economic analysis from an organizational innovation perspective显示文摘This paper investigates optimal decisions for private banking development in China under two innovative organizational structures—the big retail mode(BRM)and the independent development mode(IDM).Under the BRM,the retail and private banking divisions form a cooperative relationship wherein the former transfers highnet-worth customers to the latter.In addition,retail banking receives a share of private banking revenues.We investigate the optimal revenue-sharing ratio between the two divisions and the optimal effort by private banking to serve transferred customers within the cooperative relationship.The analytical results show that as the private banking division becomes more developed,the optimal revenue-sharing ratio decreases,and the private banking division’s optimal effort to serve transferred customers decreases because it puts more effort into acquiring new customers.Under the IDM,the two divisions form a competitive relationship since they compete to acquire customers independently.We investigate customer acquisition efforts in this interdivisional competition.Optimal customer acquisition efforts by both divisions increase in potential assets and rates of return.This paper contributes to the literature by(1)analyzing financial innovation by private banks from an organizational perspective;(2)providing an economic analysis for private banking development in China. | He Liu Yun Bai Zhiguang Huang Han Qiao Shouyang Wang | 2023 | Financial Innovation2023,9,1: | 0 |
| 10 | miR-34c inhibits proliferation of glioma by targeting PTP1B显示文摘Glioma is one of the most pervasive and invasive primary malignancies in the central nervous system.Due to its abnormal proliferation,glioma remains hard to cure at present.Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B(PTP1B)has been proved to be involved in the process of proliferation in many malignancies.However,whether PTP1B is involved in the proliferation of glioma and how it acts are still unclear.In this study,the PTP1B expressions in glioma tissues and cells were determined by quantitative real-time PCR and western blot analysis.The effects of PTP1B on the proliferation characteristics of glioma were explored using 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT),colony formation assay,and tumor xenografts in mice.We found that the protein and mRNA levels of PTP1B in glioma tissues were significantly higher than those in paired nontumor tissues.MTT and clone formation assays showed that PTP1B is closely related to human glioma cell proliferation.In addition,TargetScan revealed that miR-34c regulates PTP1B.Mechanistically,we proved that miR-34c negatively regulates PTP1B and then participates in the regulation of glioma cell proliferation in vivo.Collectively,these results suggested that miR-34c inhibits the proliferation of human glioma cells by targeting PTP1B,which will provide a potential target for the treatment of glioma. | Yue Shu Shengtao Yao Shuang Cai Jia Li Li He Jia Zou Qiang Zhang Hongjie Fan Liang Zhou Shouyang Yu | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,3: | 0 |
| 11 | Methane pyrolysis in preparation of pyrolytic carbon:Thermodynamic and kinetic analysis by density functional theory显示文摘The density functional theory has been successfully applied in analyzing pyrolytic carbon deposition by methane pyrolysis from the view of thermodynamics and kinetics based on a total number of 39 elementary reactions.M06-2X/def2-TZVP level was employed to optimize species structures and locate the transition states.The enthalpy changes and Gibbs free energy changes of all the reactions in the temperature range of 298.15–1800K were derived with optimized species.Results show that the reacting temperature should be above 1200 K based on the equilibrium constant analysis,which is consistent with the typical reaction temperature adopted in experiments.Potential energy surface profiles report that radical attacking reactions have lower energy barriers than those direct decomposition reactions,especially hydrogen radical attacking reactions.The energy barriers of the first steps,dehydrogenations of methane and ethylene,are 272.4 kJ·mol^(-1)and 288.9 kJ·mol^(-1)at 1200 K,which are very close to the experimental activation energy for methane pyrolysis.The most favorable decomposition reaction path is the path of hydrogen radical attacking reactions.The highest energy barrier of the path at 1200K is 185.7kJ·mol^(-1)presented by the C–H bond breaking in ethynyl attacked by hydrogen radical. | Chunxia HU He SHEN Shouyang ZHANG Hejun LI | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,3: | 0 |
| 12 | Identification of sap flow driving factors of jujube plantation in semi-arid areas in Northwest China显示文摘Jujube is widely cultivated in the semi-arid region of the Loess Plateau in Northwest China due to its high water deficit tolerance.In such an ecologically vulnerable area,it is critical to explore the water consumption processes of key tree species and their responses to driving factors.Sap flow data gathered during a two-year field study in a jujube plantation were analyzed as a surrogate for transpiration measurements.The measured sap flows were related to changes in the soil water content,meteorological factors(the vapor pressure deficit and the level of photosynthetically active radiation),and plant physiological factors(the sap wood area,leaf area and leaf area index).The factors that govern sap flow were found to vary depending on the growing season,and on hourly and daily timescales.The plants’drought tolerance could be predicted based on their peak sap flows and the variation in their sap flow rates at different soil water levels.The sap flow was most strongly affected by the water content of the topmost(0-20 cm)soil layer.Of the studied meteorological factors,the photosynthetically active radiation had a greater effect on sap flow than the vapor pressure deficit.The correlation we found could be applied to predict jujube tree water consumption and assist the design of irrigation scheme. | Wei Xinguang Li Bo Guo Chengjiu Wang Youke He Jianqiang Shouyang Liu Wang Tieliang Yao Mingze | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,2: | 0 |
