| 1 | Ce and Er Co-doped TiO2 for rapid bacteria- killing using visible light显示文摘Bacterial infection and related diseases are threatening the health of human beings.Photocatalytic disinfection as a simple and low-cost disinfection strategy is attracting more and more attention.In this work,TiO2 nanoparticles(NPs)were modified by co-doping of Ce and Er using the sol-gel method,which endowed TiO2 NPs with enhanced visible light photocatalytic performance but not pure ultraviolet photocatalytic properties compared the untreated TiO2.Our results disclosed that as the doping content of Er increased,the photocatalytic activity of modified TiO2 NPs initially increased and subsequently decreased.The same trend occurred for Ce doping.When the doping dose of Er and Ce is 0.5 mol%and 0.2 mol%,the 0.5Ce0.2Ti-O calcined at 800℃ presented the best antibacterial properties,with the antibacterial efficiency of 91.23%and 92.8%for Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli,respectively.The existence of Er ions is thought to successfully turn the near-infrared radiation into visible region,which is easier to be absorbed by TiO2 NPs.Meanwhile,the addition of Ce ions can effectively extend spectral response range and inhibit the recombination of electrons and holes,enhancing the photocatalytic disinfection activity of co-doped TiO2. | Yawei Ren Yajing Han Zhaoyang Li Xiangmei Liu Shengli Zhu Yanqin Liang Kelvin Wai Kwok Yeung Shuilin Wu | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,2: | 7 |
| 2 | Improved Implicit SPH Method for simulating free surface flows of power law fluids显示文摘Implicit smoothed particle hydrodynamics method has been proposed to overcome the problem that only very small time steps can be used for high viscosity fluids(such as power law fluids)in order to obtain a stable simulation.However,the pressure field is difficult to simulate correctly with this method because the numerical high-frequency noise on the pressure field cannot be removed.In this study,several improvements,which are the diffusive term in the continuity equation,the artificial viscosity and a simplified physical viscosity term in the momentum equation,are introduced,and a new boundary treatment is also proposed.The linear equations derived from the momentum equation are large-scale,sparse and positive definite but unsymmetrical,therefore,Conjugate Gradient Squared(CGS)is used to solve them.For the purpose of verifying the validity of the proposed method,Poiseuille flows with Newtonian and power law fluids are solved and compared with exact solution and traditional SPH.Drops of different fluid properties impacting a rigid wall are also simulated and compared with VOF solution.All the numerical results obtained by the proposed method agree well with available data.The proposed method shows the higher efficiency than traditional SPH and the less numerical noise on the pressure field and better stability than implicit SPH. | HAN YaWei QIANG HongFu HUANG QuanZhang ZHAO JiuLing | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,10: | 5 |

| 9 | Stable cycling of practical high-voltage LiCoO_(2)pouch cell via electrolyte modification显示文摘Nitriles as efficient electrolyte additives are widely used in high-voltage lithium-ion batteries.However,their working mechanisms are still mysterious,especially in practical high-voltage LiCoO_(2)pouch lithium-ion batteries.Herein,we adopt a tridentate ligandcontaining 1,3,6-hexanetricarbonitrile(HTCN)as an effective electrolyte additive to shed light on the mechanism of stabilizing high-voltage LiCoO_(2)cathode(4.5 V)through nitriles.The LiCoO_(2)/graphite pouch cells with the HTCN additive electrolyte possess superior cycling performance,90%retention of the initial capacity after 800 cycles at 25℃,and 72%retention after 500 cycles at 45℃,which is feasible for practical application.Such an excellent cycling performance can be attributed to the stable interface:The HTCN molecules with strong electron-donating ability participate in the construction of cathode-electrolyte interphase(CEI)through coordinating with Co ions,which suppresses the decomposition of electrolyte and improves the structural stability of LiCoO_(2)during cycling.In summary,the work recognizes a coordinating-based interphase-forming mechanism as an effective strategy to optimize the performance of high voltage LiCoO_(2)cathode with appropriate electrolyte additives for practical pouch batteries. | Chao Tang Yawei Chen Zhengfeng Zhang Wenqiang Li Junhua Jian Yulin Jie Fanyang Huang Yehu Han Wanxia Li Fuping Ai Ruiguo Cao Pengfei Yan Yuhao Lu Shuhong Jiao | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,3: | 0 |
| 10 | A summary of seismic activities in and around China in 2021显示文摘In this article,we review the general characteristics of seismicity in and around China and the overall statistics of earthquake damage in 2021,focusing on several significant events and related scientific topics.Among them,the largest event is the M_(S)7.4 Madoi earthquake in Qinghai Province,northwest China.The event marks another M_(S)≥7 earthquake occurring near the boundary of the Bayan Har Block that has ended a remarkable quiescence of the M_(S)≥7 earthquakes within the Chinese mainland.In addition,the M_(S)6.4 Yangbi earthquake in Yunnan Province,southwest China draws the most attention because of its abundant foreshocks,which are well recorded by the densely distributed seismic stations in the surrounding regions.Regarding this event,we review several recent publications focusing on the Gutenberg-Richter b-value change and the physical mechanism of foreshocks associated with this sequence.The M_(S)6.0 Luxian earthquake in Sichuan Province,southwest China has caused serious damage with a relatively low magnitude,partly because the focal depth of the mainshock is relatively shallow (3.5 km).It is another strong earthquake occurring within the southeast Sichuan basin with low historical seismicity yet has increased significantly since 2015,probably due to shale gas development and associated hydraulic fracturing. | Yanyan Han Yang Zang Lingyuan Meng Yue Wang Shiguang Deng Yawei Ma Mengyu Xie | 2022 | Earthquake Research Advances2022,2,3: | 0 |
| 11 | Transcriptomics reveals substance biosynthesis and transport on membranes of Listeria monocytogenes affected by antimicrobial lipopeptide brevilaterin B显示文摘Listeria monocytogenes is a worrisome food-borne pathogen threatening global food safety.Our previous study proved that lipopeptide brevilaterin B showed efficient antibacterial activity against L.monocytogenes by interacting with the cell membrane.This research further explored the antibacterial mechanism of brevilaterin B against L.monocytogenes at the sub-minimum inhibition concentration via transcriptomic analysis.Brevilaterin B induced growth inhibition rather than direct membrane lysis in L.monocytogenes at the minimum inhibitory concentration.Transcriptomic analysis showed 1779 difference expressed genes,including 895 up-regulated and 884 down-regulated genes.Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis indicated that brevilaterin B influenced multiple pathways of L.monocytogenes,including peptidoglycan biosynthesis,membrane transport(ATP-binding cassette transports,ion transport),cellular metabolism(amino acid and lipid metabolism),ATP synthesis,and activation of the stress response(quorum sensing and bacterial chemotaxis).In conclusion,brevilaterin B affects gene expression related to biosynthesis,transport and stress response pathways on the membrane of L.monocytogenes.The present work provides the first transcriptomic assessment of the antibacterial mechanism of lipopeptide brevilaterin B at the gene level. | Yangliu Liu Yawei Ning Zhou Chen Panpan Han Tongxin Zhi Siting Li Aijin Ma Yingmin Jia | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,4: | 0 |
