1Symptoms Burden and Health-related Quality of Life in Chinese Patients with Primary Biliary Cholangitis显示文摘Background and Aims:Primary biliary cholangitis(PBC)is a chronic liver disease that negatively affects the health-related quality of life(HRQoL)of patients.Furthermore,the HRQoL of Chinese patients has been neglected for a long time.The present study aimed to assess the HRQoL of Chinese patients with PBC and explore the clinical variables correlating to the improvement of itch and fatigue.Methods:This was an observational,cross-sectional study.The PBC-40 and itch numerical rating scales were used to evaluate the symptoms and HRQoL of patients.Results:A total of 383 patients were recruited,and 86.4%were female,with a median age of 55 years(range:49-63 years).We found that females had significantly higher scores than males in symptoms(p=0.033)and cognitive domains(p=0.021),and the fatigue domain was higher in elderly patients(p=0.007).Meanwhile,patients whose body mass index was<18.5 had the highest scores in the symptoms(p=0.009),fatigue(p=0.010),and cognitive(p=0.019)domains.Age at participation(odds ratio[OR]=1.068,p=0.015)and albumin level at 12 months after ursodeoxycholic acid treatment(OR=208.807,p=0.025)were independent factors that affected the improvement of the itch and fatigue domains,respectively.Conclusions:The HRQoL of Chinese patients with PBC was significantly impaired depending on sex,age,and body mass index.Age and albumin level were significantly associated with the improvement of itch and fatigue,respectively.Therefore,treatment and support aimed at these two factors can be provided to improve the HRQoL of patients.Yansheng Liu Siyuan Tian Gui Jia Zheyi Han Changcun Guo Yulong Shang Ying Han 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,6:2

8Flexible Au micro-array electrode with atomic-scale Au thin film for enhanced ethanol oxidation reaction显示文摘The catalysis of Au thin film could be improved by fabrication of array structures in large area.In this work,nanoimprint lithography has been developed tofabricate flexible Au micro-array(MA)electrodes with~100%coverage.Advanced electron microscopy characterisations have directly visualised the atomic-scale three-dimensional(3D)nanostructures with a maximum depth of 6 atomic layers.In-situ observation unveils the crystal growth in the form of twinning.High double layer capacitance brings about large number of active sites on the Au thin film and has a logarithmic relationship with mesh grade.Electrochemistry testing shows that the Au MAs perform much better ethanol oxidation reaction than the planar sample;MAs with higher mesh grade have a greater active site utilisation ratio(ASUR),which is important to build electrochemical double layer for efficient charge transfer.Further improvement on ASUR is expected for greater electrocatalytic performance and potential application in direct ethanol fuel cell.Xun Cao Dongdong Peng Cao Wu Yongmin He Chaojiang Li Bowei Zhang Changcun Han Junsheng Wu Zheng Liu Yizhong Huang 2021Nano Research2021,14,1:0
9Preventing surface passivation of transition metal nanoparticles in oxygen electrocatalyst to extend the lifespan of Zn-air battery显示文摘Prolonging the lifespan of oxygen catalysts in Zn-air batteries was urgently required for the potential commercialization.Herein,two interactional active species were integrated into porous N-doped carbon microspheres(Co-Fe-Ru/PNCS)to act as bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysts.Due to the electron transfer from Ru to Co/Fe element,the high value state of Ru could promote OER performance and reduce the charge voltage of the battery.An extended cycle stability of 200 h was achieved in Co-Fe-Ru/PNCS-based battery.Moreover,the quasi in-situ potentiodynamic sweep of air-electrode in battery cell confirmed it was the incorporation of Ru that avoided the passivation of Co/Fe-based nanoparticles.Accordingly,this novel electrocatalyst may provide a new strategy of designing durable bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst for Zn-air batteries.Zhuo Peng Changcun Han Chuyun Huang Zehua Dong Xinguo Ma 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,33:0
