Pollen-inferred Holocene vegetation and climate histories in Taro Co,southwestern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘A 310-cm-long sediment core, covering the last10,200 years, was collected from Taro Co on the southwestern Tibetan Plateau and analyzed for pollen, grain size and total inorganic carbon content. The pollen data showed that vegetation changed from alpine steppe to alpine meadow during 10,200–8,900 cal a BP,to alpine steppe dominated by Artemisia during 8,900–7,400 cal a BP,to alpine meadow during 7,400–3,300 cal a BP and to alpine steppe after 3,300 cal a BP.Correspondingly, the pollen, grain size and total inorganic carbon content results revealed climatic change in this area over four stages. The initial stage was from 10,200 to 8,900 cal a BP,during which the climate changed from cold-dry to warm-humid.The second stage(8,900–7,400 cal a BP)was characterized by a warm and dry climate. However,at approximately7,400 cal a BP,the climate began to become cold and humid, which continued until 3,300 cal a BP.The last stage, from 3,300 cal a BP to present, was characterized as cold and increasingly arid.Climatic events of the early and mid-late Holocene showed that the area was significantly affected by the westerlies. However, the mid-Holocene climate in Taro Co was controlled by the Indian monsoon. The mid-late Holocene depositional environment record of Taro Co was very important to further elaborate the degree of influence by the westerlies or Indian monsoon. | Qingfeng Ma Liping Zhu Xinmiao L Yun Guo Jianting Ju Junbo Wang Yong Wang Lingyu Tang | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,31: | 7
Adaptive compensating method for Doppler frequency shift using LMS and phase estimation显示文摘The novel compensating method directly demodulates the signals without the carrier recovery processes, in which the carrier with original modulation frequency is used as the local coherent carrier. In this way, the phase offsets due to frequency shift are linear.Based on this premise, the compensation processes are:firstly, the phase offsets between the baseband neighbor-symbols after clock recovery is unbiasedly estimated among the reference symbols;then, the receiving signals symbols are adjusted by the phase estimation value;finally, the phase offsets after adjusting are compensated by the least mean squares(LMS) algorithm. In order to express the compensation processes and ability clearly, the quadrature phase shift keying(QPSK) modulation signals are regarded as examples for Matlab simulation.BER simulations are carried out using the Monte-Carlo method. The learning curves are obtained to study the algorithm's convergence ability. The constellation figures are also simulated to observe the compensation results directly. | Jing Qingfeng Guo Qing | 2009 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2009,20,5: | 7
Massive cranium from Harbin in northeastern China establishes a new Middle Pleistocene human lineage显示文摘It has recently become clear that several human lineages coexisted with Homo sapiens during the late Middle and Late Pleistocene. Here,we report an archaic human fossil that throws new light on debates concerning the diversification of the Homo genus and the origin of H.sapiens.The fossil was recovered in Harbin city in northeastern China, with a minimum uranium-series age of 146 ka.This cranium is one of the best preserved Middle Pleistocene human fossils. Its massive size, with a large cranial capacity(1,420 mL)falling in the range of modern humans,is combined with a mosaic of primitive and derived characters. It differs from all the other named Homo species by presenting a combination of features, such as long and low cranial vault,a wide and low face, large and almost square orbits, gently curved but massively developed supraorbital torus, flat and low cheekbones with a shallow canine fossa, and a shallow palate with thick alveolar bone supporting very large molars. The excellent preservation of the Harbin cranium advances our understanding of several less-complete late Middle Pleistocene fossils from China, which have been interpreted as local evolutionary intermediates between the earlier species Homo erectus and later H.sapiens.Phylogenetic analyses based on parsimony criteria and Bayesian tip-dating suggest that the Harbin cranium and some other Middle Pleistocene human fossils from China, such as those from Dali and Xiahe, form a third East Asian lineage, which is a part of the sister group of the H.sapiens lineage. Our analyses of such morphologically distinctive archaic human lineages from Asia,Europe, and Africa suggest that the diversification of the Homo genus may have had a much deeper timescale than previously presumed.Sympatric isolation of small populations combined with stochastic long-distance dispersals is the best fitting biogeographical model for interpreting the evolution of the Homo genus. | Xijun Ni Qiang Ji Wensheng Wu Qingfeng Shao Yannan Ji Chi Zhang Lei Liang Junyi Ge Zhen Guo Jinhua Li Qiang Li Rainer Grun Chris Stringer | 2021 | The Innovation2021,2,3: | 6
Influence of the symmetry energy on the balance energy of the directed flow显示文摘The influence of the density-dependent symmetry energy on the balance energy (E bal) of directed flow from heavy ion collisions (HICs) at incident energies covered by INDRA and MSU experiments is studied, using the updated version of the ultrarelativistic quantum molecular dynamics (UrQMD) model, especially adapted to low-energy heavy ion collisions (HICs).Four mass-symmetric reactions with total mass numbers between 192 and 394 are chosen for investigating the influence of the symmetry energy on the system-mass dependence of E bal.The results show that the uncertainty in the density dependence of the symmetry potential causes changes of E bal of the order of several MeV,depending on the type of particle considered. The E bal of neutrons from HICs is particularly sensitive to the density dependence of the symmetry potential energy, while the system-mass dependence of E bal of Z=1 particles is not. | GUO ChenChen WANG YongJia LI QingFeng TRAUTMANN W LIU Ling WU LiJuan | 2012 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,2: | 4
The effect of symmetry potential on the balance energy of light particles emitted from mass symmetric heavy-ion collisions with isotopes, isobars and isotones显示文摘Using the Ultrarelativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics(UrQMD) model, the balance energies of free neutrons, free protons and Z=1 particles(including free protons, deuterons and tritons) from mass symmetric heavy-ion collisions with isotopes, isobars and isotones are studied. The influence of nuclear symmetry potential energy on the balance energy is emphasized. It is found that the balance energy of free neutrons is sensitive to the nuclear symmetry energy, while that of free protons is not.Particularly, the initial neutron/proton ratio dependence of the balance energy of free neutrons from Sn isotopes can be taken as a useful probe to constrain the stiffness of the nuclear symmetry energy. | WANG YongJia GUO ChenChen LI QingFeng ZHANG HongFei | 2012 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,12: | 4
Nsp2 has the potential to be a drug target revealed by global identification of SARS-CoV-2 Nsp2-interacting proteins显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has become a global health threat since December 2019,and there is still no highly effective drug to control the pandemic. To facilitate drug target identification for drug development, studies on molecular mechanisms, such as SARS-CoV-2 protein interactions, are urgently needed. In this study,we focused on Nsp2,a non-structural protein with largely unknown function and mechanism. The interactome of Nsp2 was revealed through the combination of affinity purification mass spectrometry(AP-MS)and stable isotope labeling by amino acids in cell culture(SILAC),and 84 proteins of high-confidence were identified.Gene ontology analysis demonstrated that Nsp2-interacting proteins are involved in several biological processes such as endosome transport and translation.Network analysis generated two clusters, including ribosome assembly and vesicular transport.Bio-layer interferometry(BLI)assay confirmed the bindings between Nsp2-and 4-interacting proteins,i.e.STAU2(Staufen2),HNRNPLL,ATP6V1B2,and RAP1GDS1(SmgGDS),which were randomly selected from the list of 84 proteins. Our findings provide insights into the Nsp2–host interplay and indicate that Nsp2 may play important roles in SARS-CoV-2 infection and serve as a potential drug target for anti-SARS-CoV-2 drug development. | Yun-Xiao Zheng Lei Wang Wei-Sha Kong Hong Chen Xue-Ning Wang Qingfeng Meng Hai-Nan Zhang Shu-Juan Guo He-Wei Jiang Sheng-Ce Tao | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,9: | 3
Modulating the optical and electrical properties of MAPbBr_(3) single crystals via voltage regulation engineering and application in memristors显示文摘Defect density is one of the most significant characteristics of perovskite single crystals(PSCs)that determines their optical and electrical properties, but few strategies are available to tune this property. Here,we demonstrate that voltage regulation is an efficient method to tune defect density,as well as the optical and electrical properties of PSCs.A three-step carrier transport model of MAPbBr_(3) PSCs is proposed to explore the defect regulation mechanism and carrier transport dynamics via an applied bias.Dynamic and steady-state photoluminescence measurements subsequently show that the surface defect density, average carrier lifetime, and photoluminescence intensity can be efficiently tuned by the applied bias.In particular, when the regulation voltage is 20 V(electrical poling intensity is 0.167 Vμm^(−1)),the surface defect density of MAPbBr_(3) PSCs is reduced by 24.27%,the carrier lifetime is prolonged by 32.04%,and the PL intensity is increased by 112.96%.Furthermore,a voltage-regulated MAPbBr_(3) PSC memristor device shows an adjustable multiresistance, weak ion migration effect and greatly enhanced device stability.Voltage regulation is a promising engineering technique for developing advanced perovskite optoelectronic devices. | Jun Xing Chen Zhao Yuting Zou Wenchi Kong Zhi Yu Yuwei Shan Qingfeng Dong Ding Zhou Weili Yu Chunlei Guo | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 3
Recent progress on lanthanide complexes/clay minerals hybrid luminescent materials显示文摘The unique luminescent performance of lanthanide complexes/clay minerals hybrid materials has been fascinating many researchers for recent decades. It not only retains the excellent luminescent characteristics of lanthanide complexes but also improves the poor stability of the complexes. In this article,we introduce the luminescence mechanism of lanthanide complexes and point out the necessity of their combination with clay minerals. After the analysis of the structure and interlayer environment differences of 1:1-type and 2:1-type clay minerals, the intercalation methods(covalent grafting and ion exchange)appropriate for different clay minerals are summarized with examples.Based on the luminescence characteristics of the hybrid materials, the applications of these materials as luminescent probes in recognition of specific metal cations and molecules, detection of pH value, and temperature are reviewed. Finally, the current problems in the preparation of lanthanide complexes/clay minerals hybrid luminescent materials and shortcomings that need improvement in their performance are analyzed, and the application prospect is forecast. | Ga Zhang Lefu Mei Junjie Ding Ke Su Qingfeng Guo Guocheng Lv Libing Liao | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,9: | 2

Influence of the time-step on the production of free nucleons and pions from heavy-ion collisions around 1 GeV/nucleon显示文摘By considering different values of the time-step for the potential updates in the ultra-relativistic quantum molecular dynamics(UrQMD) model, we examine its influence on observables, such as the yield and collective flow of nucleons and pions from heavyion collisions around 1 GeV/nucleon. It is found that these observables are affected to some extent by the choice of the time-step,and the impact of the time-step on the pion-related observables is more visible than that on the nucleon-related ones. However, its effect on the π-/π+yield ratio and elliptic flow difference between neutrons and protons, which have been taken as sensitive observables for probing the density-dependent nuclear symmetry energy at high densities, is fairly weak. | LiYan Zou Miao Li ChenChen Guo YongJia Wang QingFeng Li Ling Liu | 2016 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2016,59,12: | 1

The binding epitope of sintilimab on PD-1 revealed by AbMap显示文摘PD-1 plays an important role as an immune checkpoint.Sintilimab is a newly approved PD-1 antibody for cancer immunotherapy with an unknown binding epitope on PD-1.In this study,to elucidate the molecular mechanism by which sintilimab blocks PD-1 activation,we applied Antibody binding epitope Mapping(AbMap)to identify the binding epitope of sintilimab. An epitope was successfully identified,i.e.SLAPKA,aa 127-132.By constructing a series of point mutations, the dominant residues S127,L128,A129,P130,and A132 of PD-1 were further validated by western blot analysis, biolayer interferometry, and flow cytometry.Structural analysis showed that the epitope is partially within the binding interface of PD-1 and PD-L1,and this epitope also partially overlaps with that of nivolumab and pembrolizumab. These results demonstrate that sintilimab can attenuate PD-1 activation by directly competing with the interaction between PD-1 and PD-L1 through binding with the key residues of the FG loop on PD-1.This study also demonstrates the high efficiency and accuracy of AbMap for determining the binding epitope of therapeutic antibodies. | Mingliang Ma Huan Qi Chuansheng Hu Zhaowei Xu Fanlin Wu Nan Wang Danyun Lai Yang Li Hainan Zhang Hewei Jiang Qingfeng Meng Shujuan Guo Yani Kang Xiaodong Zhao Hua Li Sheng-ce Tao | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5: | 1
