| 1 | Relocation of the 10 March 2011 Yingjiang,China,earthquake sequence and its tectonic implications显示文摘An earthquake with MS5.8 occurred on 10 March 2011 in Yingjiang county,western Yunnan,China.This earthquake caused 25 deaths and over 250 injuries.In order to better understand the seismotectonics in the region,we collected the arrival time data from the Yunnan seismic observational bulletins during 1 January to 25 March 2011,and precisely hand-picked the arrival times from high-quality seismograms that were recorded by the temporary seismic stations deployed by our Institute of Crustal Dynamics,China Earthquake Administration.Using these arrival times,we relocated all the earthquakes including the Yingjiang mainshock and its aftershocks using the double-difference relocation algorithm.Our results show that the relocated earthquakes dominantly occurred along the ENE direction and formed an upside-down bow-shaped structure in depth.It is also observed that after the Yingjiang mainshock,some aftershocks extended toward the SSE over about 10 km.These results may indicate that the Yingjiang mainshock ruptured a conjugate fault system consisting of the ENE trending Da Yingjiang fault and a SSE trending blind fault.Such structural features could contribute to severely seismic hazards during the moderate-size Yingjiang earthquake. | Jianshe Lei Guangwei Zhang Furen Xie Yuan Li Youjin Su Lifang Liu Honghu Ma Junwei Zhang | 2012 | Earthquake Science2012,25,1: | 35 |

| 3 | Study of ciprofloxacin removal by biochar obtained from used tea leaves显示文摘In this study,used tea leaves(UTLs) were pyrolyzed to obtain used tea-leaf biochar(UTC),and then the UTC was used as an adsorbent to remove ciprofloxacin(CIP) from aqueous solutions.Batch experiments were conducted to investigate the CIP adsorption performance and mechanism.The results showed that the CIP-adsorbing ability first increased and then declined as the UTC pyrolysis temperature increased.The UTC obtained at 450°C presented excellent CIP-absorbing ability at p H 6 and 40°C.The maximum monolayer adsorption capacity was 238.10 mg/g based on the Langmuir isotherm model.The pseudo-second-order kinetic equation agreed well with the CIP adsorption process,which was controlled by both external boundary layer diffusion and intra-particle diffusion.The characterization analysis revealed that the \OH groups,C_C bonds of aromatic rings,C\H groups in aromatic rings and phenolic C\O bonds play vital roles in the CIP adsorption process,and that the N\C,N\O,O\C_O and C\OH groups of UTC were consumed in large quantities.π–π interactions,hydrogen bonding and electrostatic attraction are inferred as the main adsorption mechanisms.The present work provides not only a feasible and promising approach for UTLs utilization but also a potential adsorbent material for removing high concentrations of CIP from aqueous solutions. | Jie Li Guangwei Yu Lanjia Pan Chunxing Li Futian You Shengyu Xie Yin Wang Jianli Ma Xiaofu Shang | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,11: | 5 |
| 4 | Moderate sewage sludge biochar application on alkaline soil for corn growth:a field study显示文摘In view of the risks induced by the inhibitory effects of applying impracticably large amounts of sewage sludge biochar(SSB)to the alkaline soil,this field study investigated the influence of moderate biochar amendments(0,1500,4500,and 9000 kg/hm2)on corn growth,alkaline soil properties,and the uptake of potentially toxic elements(PTEs).The results showed that applying more SSB would decrease the ammonium nitrogen concentration and increase the available phosphorus and potassium concentrations,which inhibited corn plant growth because of high background nutrient levels of the alkaline soil.When the alkaline soil was amended with 1500 kg/hm2 SSB,the dry weight of 100 niblets increased from 32.11 g in the control to 35.07 g.There was no significant variation in the total concentration of PTEs in the soil.The concentrations of Mn,Ni,Cu,and Zn in niblets decreased from 5.54,0.83,2.26,and 27.15 mg/kg in the control to 4.47,0.62,1.30,and 23.45 mg/kg,respectively.Accordingly,the health risk from corn consumption was significantly reduced.Furthermore,the combination of SSB and fertilizer improved corn growth and reduced the risk of consumption of PTEs.Therefore,considering the increase in corn fruit yield and the decrease in consumption risk,applying 1500 kg/hm2 of biochar to alkaline soils is a realistically achievable rate,which can broaden the utilization of SSB for remediation of different types of soil. | Shengyu Xie Guangwei Yu Ruqing Jiang Jianli Ma Xiaofu Shang Gang Wang Yin Wang Yongan Yang Chunxing Li | 2021 | Biochar2021,3,2: | 2 |
| 5 | Synthesis of ZSM-5/MOR Co-crystalline Zeolite without Template and the Catalytic Application Thereof显示文摘A ZSM-5/MOR co-crystalline zeolite was synthesized without using the template. The physico-chemical properties of the zeolite were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM and TPD and then compared with the co-crystalline zeolite synthesized with a template. Analytical results indicated that they were similar in structure and composition. The influences of pH value and Si/Al ratio on synthesis were studied. It was found that a high pH value or a low Si/Al ratio could provide better environment for mordenite (MOR) crystallization. The zeolites applied as catalysts in naphtha catalytic cracking for producing ethylene and propylene showed outstanding catalytic performance with the total yield of ethylene and propylene reaching 55 m%. | 6 | Engineering HOF‑Based Mixed‑Matrix Membranes for Efficient CO_(2) Separation显示文摘Hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks(HOFs)have emerged as a new class of crystalline porous materials,and their application in membrane technology needs to be explored.Herein,for the first time,we demonstrated the utilization of HOF-based mixed-matrix membrane for CO_(2) separation.HOF-21,a unique metallo-hydrogen-bonded organic framework material,was designed and processed into nanofillers via amine modulator,uniformly dispersing with Pebax polymer.Featured with the mix-bonded framework,HOF-21 possessed moderate pore size of 0.35 nm and displayed excellent stability under humid feed gas.The chemical functions of multiple binding sites and continuous hydrogen-bonded network jointly facilitated the mass transport of CO_(2).The resulting HOF-21 mixed-matrix membrane exhibited a permeability above 750 Barrer,a selectivity of~40 for CO_(2)/CH_(4) and~60 for CO_(2)/N_(2),surpassing the 2008 Robeson upper bound.This work enlarges the family of mixed-matrix membranes and lays the foundation for HOF membrane development. | Yuhan Wang Yanxiong Ren Yu Cao Xu Liang Guangwei He Hanze Ma Hongliang Dong Xiao Fang Fusheng Pan Zhongyi Jiang | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,4: | 2 |

| 8 | Effect of Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide on intracerebral acetylcholinesterase and monoamine neurotransmitters in a D-galactose-induced aging brain mouse model显示文摘BACKGROUND:The most prominent characteristic of brain aging is decreased learning and memory ability.The functions of learning and memory are closely related to intracerebral acetylcholinesterase(AChE) and monoamine neurotransmitter activity.Previous studies have shown that Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide has an anti-aging effect. OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide on AChE activity and monoamine neurotransmitter content,as well as learning and memory ability in a D-galactose-induced aging mouse brain model compared with the positive control drug Kangnaoling. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:Completely randomized,controlled experiment based on neurobiochemistry was performed at the Pharmacological Laboratory,Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September to December 2003. MATERIALS:Schisandra chinensis was purchased from Henan Provincial Medicinal Company. Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide was obtained by water extraction and alcohol precipitation. Kangnaoling pellets were provided by Liaoning Tianlong Pharmaceutical(batch No.20030804;state drug permit No.H21023095).A total of 50 six-week-old Kunming mice were randomly divided into five groups:blank control,model,Kangnaoling,high and low dosage Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide groups,with 10 mice per group. METHODS:Mice in the blank control group were subcutaneously injected with 0.5 mL/20 g normal saline into the nape of the neck each day,while the remaining mice were subcutaneously injected with 5%D-galactose saline solution(0.5 mL/20 g) in the nape for 40 days to induce a brain aging model.On day 11,mice in the high and low dosage Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide groups were intragastrically infused with 20 mg/mL and 10 mg/mL Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide solution(0.2 mL/10 g),respectively.Mice from the Kangnaoling group were intragastrically infused with 35 mg/mL Kangnaoling suspension(0.2 ml/10 g),and the mice in the model group were intragastrically infused with the same volume of normal saline(0.2 mL/10 g) once per day for 30 consecutive days. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Two hours after the final administration,pathohistological changes in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus were observed using hematoxylin & eosin staining.AChE activity was detected using chromatometry.Monoamine neurotransmitter content was measured using fluorimetry.Learning and memory was measured using the step down test and darkness avoidance test. RESULTS:Both Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide and Kangnaoling improved pathological injury to the cerebral cortex and hippocampus in a mouse model of brain aging.Compared with the blank control group,AChE activity and content of norepinephrine(NA),dopamine(DA),and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) were significantly decreased in the model group(P<0.01).In contrast, AChE activity and NA,DA,and 5-HT levels significantly increased in the Kangnaoling and high dosage Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide groups(P<0.01),while NA levels significantly increased in the low dosage Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide group(P<0.01).Drug treatment improved learning and memory abilities(P<0.01 or P<0.05). | 9 | Morphology analysis of tracks in the aerogels impacted by hypervelocity irregular particles显示文摘As an attractive collector medium for hypervelocity particles,combined with outstanding physical properties and suitable compositional characteristics,SiO2 aerogel has been deployed on outer space missions and laser shock-loaded collection experiments.In this paper,impact experiments were conducted to understand the penetration process of irregular grains,irregular Al_(2)O_(3) grains with two different sizes and speeds(~110μm@7 km/s,~251μm@2.3 km/s)at various density silica aerogels.By classifying the shapes of projectile residues and tracks,the morphology of tracks was analyzed.It was observed that there were several kinds of typical tracks in the penetration of irregular grains,accompanied by residues with the shapes of near-sphere,polyhedron,streamlined body wedge,and rotator.The rotational behavior was demonstrated by the final status of one flake projectile as direct evidence.In addition,there was no obvious relationship between the track length and experimental parameters,which may be caused by the uncertain interaction between aerogels and irregular particles.In addition,it confirmed the existence of fragmentation,melting situation by observing the shape of the impact entrance hole.At the same time,optical coherence tomography was used to observe the detail of tracks clearly,which provided a method to characterize the tracks nondestructively. | Ai Du Yi Ma Mingfang Liu Zhihua Zhang Guangwei Cao Hongwei Li Ling Wang Peijian Si Jun Shen Bin Zhou | 2021 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2: | 1 |

| 11 | Synthesis and Characterization of Mesoporous Materials MCM-41 Incorporated by Yttrium, Neodymium and Samarium显示文摘Using cetyl-trimethyl-ammonium bromide (CTMAB) as template and tetraethylortho-silicate (TEOS) as silica source, the MCM-41 mesoporous materials incorporated in framework by Y, Nd and Sm were synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis method. The structure, morphology of materials and the state of Y, Nd, Sm in materials were investigated by means of XRD, nitrogen adsorption-desorption, SEM, IR spectrometry, TG-DTA. The XRD results indicate that the samples possess the mesoporous MCM-41 structures with ordered hexagonal arrangements. Y, Nd and Sm ions can get into the framework of mesoporous materials. Nitrogen adsorption desorption isotherms show that the samples have typical mesopores characteristics. SEM micrographs reveal that incorporated samples show a spherical morphology and the diameters are averagely 0.10 to 0.15 μm. In IR spectrum of samples, there are the feature adsorption peaks about Si-O-Ln(Ln=Y, Sm, Nd)at 960~985 cm-1, which affirm that Y, Nd, Sm ions locate in the framework of several mesoporous materials. | 15 | Status of the IHEP 1.3 GHz superconducting RF program显示文摘The 1.3 GHz superconducting radio-frequency (SRF) technology is one of the key technologies for the ILC and future XFEL and ERL projects in China. With the aim to develop 1.3 GHz SRF technology, IHEP has started a program to build an SRF Accelerating Unit. This unit contains a 9-cell 1.3 GHz superconducting cavity, a short cryomodule, a high power input coupler, a tuner and a low level RF system. This program also includes the SRF laboratory upgrade, which will permit the unit to be built and tested at IHEP. The unit will be used for the 1.3 GHz SRF system integration study, high power horizontal test and possible beam test in the future. In this paper, we report the recent R&D status of this program. The first large grain low-loss shape 9-cell superconducting RF cavity made by IHEP reached 20 MV/m in the first vertical test in July, 2010. The prototype tuner and low level RF (LLRF) system are under test. The high power input coupler and cryomodule are under fabrication.
