| 1 | Optical properties of the micro/nano structures of Morpho butterfly wing scales显示文摘The micro/nano structures of the wing scales in Morpho butterfly are responsible for the structural coloration,with a major part ascribed to interference and diffraction of light.The optical properties of the butterfly wings were investigated by simulating a two-dimensional model using rigorous coupled-wave analysis technique.It is proved that they depend strongly on the structural parameters,incidence angle and refractive index.The peak value and the peak wavelength of the reflection efficiency increase as the vertical periodic thickness increases.The peak value decreases observably,while both of the bandwidth and the peak wavelength increase when the number of the vertical periods decreases.Increase of the horizontal periodic width causes a decrease of the peak value and an increase of the peak wavelength,although the variations are small.The peak value decreases distinctly and the peak wavelength increases as the ambient refractive index increases,which corresponds to the variation in ambient conditions.The research reveals the mechanisms of the brilliant structural color in Morpho butterfly,and is of great significance to the design,manufacture and applications of the bionic micro/nano structures for gas detection. | LIAO GuangLan,ZUO HaiBo,CAO YanBo & SHI TieLin State Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology,Huazhong University of Science and Technology,Wuhan 430074,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,1: | 10 |
| 2 | Microstructural evolution,mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of as-cast Mg-5Li-3Al-2Zn alloy with different Sn and Y addition显示文摘Influences of Sn and Y on the microstructure,mechanical properties,and corrosion behavior of as-cast Mg-5 Li-3 Al-2 Zn(LAZ532)alloy were investigated.The addition of Sn and Y refines grains and results in the formation of Mg2 Sn and Al2 Y phases,thus improving the mechanical properties of alloy by second phase strengthening and grain refinement strengthening.As-cast LAZ532 alloy shows typical filiform corrosion morphology,and the addition of Sn and Y does not change the corrosion mode of alloy.Ascast LAZ532-0.8 Sn-1.2 Y alloy shows excellent mechanical properties with yield strength of 166.2 MPa,ultimate tensile strength of 228.6 MPa and elongation of 14.8%,and exhibits the best corrosion resistance with the smallest corrosion current density and the lowest anodic dissolution rate. | Xiang Peng Shihao Xu Dehua Ding Guanglan Liao Guohua Wu Wencai Liu Wenjiang Ding | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,13: | 7 |
| 3 | Efficient Carbon-Based CsPbBr_3 Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells by Using Cu-Phthalocyanine as Hole Transport Material显示文摘Metal halide perovskite solar cells(PSCs) have attracted extensive research interest for next-generation solution-processed photovoltaic devices because of their high solar-to-electric power conversion efficiency(PCE)and low fabrication cost. Although the world's best PSC successfully achieves a considerable PCE of over 20% within a very limited timeframe after intensive efforts, the stability, high cost, and up-scaling of PSCs still remain issues. Recently, inorganic perovskite material, CsPbBr_3, is emerging as a promising photo-sensitizer with excellent durability and thermal stability, but the efficiency is still embarrassing. In this work, we intend to address these issues by exploiting CsPbBr_3 as light absorber, accompanied by using Cu-phthalocyanine(CuPc) as hole transport material(HTM) and carbon as counter electrode. The optimal device acquires a decent PCE of 6.21%, over 60% higher than those of the HTM-free devices. The systematic characterization and analysis reveal a more effective charge transfer process and a suppressed charge recombination in PSCs after introducing CuPc as hole transfer layer. | 4 | Automated X-ray recognition of solder bump defects based on ensemble-ELM显示文摘Solder bumps realize the mechanical and electrical interconnection between chips and substrates in surface mount components,such as flip chip, wafer level packaging and three-dimensional integration. With the trend to smaller and lighter electronics,solder bumps decrease in dimension and pitch in order to achieve higher I/O density. Automated and nondestructive defect inspection of solder bumps becomes more difficult. Machine learning is a way to recognize the solder bump defects online and overcome the effect caused by the human eye-fatigue. In this paper, we proposed an automated and nondestructive X-ray recognition method for defect inspection of solder bumps. The X-ray system captured the images of the samples and the solder bump images were segmented from the sample images. Seven features including four geometric features, one texture feature and two frequency-domain features were extracted. The ensemble-ELM was established to recognize the defects intelligently. The results demonstrated the high recognition rate compared to the single-ELM. | 5 | Au modified ZnO nanowires for ethanol gas sensing显示文摘We demonstrated the application of sensors for ethanol gas detection.The ZnO nanowires based sensors with interdigital electrodes were fabricated,and a platform was constructed to test the properties of the sensors.To acquire better response and shorter response/recovery time,the ZnO nanowires were modified with Au.The ethanol gas sensing performance of the pure sensors and those modified with Au nanoparticles were investigated for comparison,and the optimal test temperature of 350℃ was obtained.We found that the response/recovery time for the modified sensor towards 500 ppm of the ethanol gas was reduced by 1.35 and1.42 times compared with the pure sensors,and the sensitivities towards 500 and 10 ppm of the ethanol gas were also increased by 3.18 and 1.35 times,respectively.These proved the enhancement of the Au nanoparticles in the ZnO nanowires based sensors for ethanol gas sensing. | WU YouNi JIANG Ting SHI TieLin SUN Bo TANG ZiRong LIAO GuangLan | 2017 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2017,60,1: | 2 |
| 6 | Investigation on color variation of Morpho butterfly wings hierarchical structure based on PCA显示文摘Morpho butterfly wings show brilliant blue color,which has a close relationship with the hierarchical micro/nano structures on the surface of scales.When liquids such as methanol,ethanol and isopropanol with different refractive indexes drop onto the scales,the reflectance of wings would decrease.The main peaks of reflectance shift to the right and the scales turn to yel-low-green.After the liquids volatilizes completely,the scales revert to the original blue color.The typical micro/nano struc-tures of Morpho butterfly wing scales are modeled,and the reflectance variation in the course of dropping liquids is simulated.Furthermore,the principal component analysis(PCA) method is employed to analyze the experimental and simulation reflec-tance data,extract principal components and reduce dimensions.As a result,the curves mapping the reflectance variation are clearly shown in the coordinate system consisting of three principal components.The typical color variation of scales during the dropping process could be monitored,and different kinds of liquids could be obviously distinguished according to the dis-tributed regions of mapping points.This study provides guidance to environmental media detecting as well as data processing,and enhances the fabrication and application of the mimic Morpho butterfly wings micro/nano structures. | JIANG Xuan SHI TieLin ZUO HaiBo YANG XueFeng WU WenJun LIAO GuangLan | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,1: | 2 |

| 16 | Intelligent diagnosis of the solder bumps defects using fuzzy C-means algorithm with the weighted coefficients显示文摘Solder bump technology has been widely used in electronic packaging. With the development of solder bumps towards higher density and finer pitch, it is more difficult to inspect the defects of solder bumps as they are hidden in the package. A nondestructive method using the transient active thermography has been proposed to inspect the defects of a solder bump, and we aim at developing an intelligent diagnosis system to eliminate the influence of emissivity unevenness and non-uniform heating on defects recognition in active infrared testing. An improved fuzzy c-means(FCM) algorithm based on the entropy weights is investigated in this paper. The captured thermograms are preprocessed to enhance the thermal contrast between the defective and good bumps. Hot spots corresponding to 16 solder bumps are segmented from the thermal images. The statistical features are calculated and selected appropriately to characterize the status of solder bumps in FCM clustering. The missing bump is identified in the FCM result, which is also validated by the principle component analysis.
