1Investigation of water impingement on a multi-element high-lift airfoil by Lagrangian and Eulerian approach显示文摘McDonnell Douglas Aerospace(MDA)high-lift model is widely used in the study of multi-element airfoil,while there is still short knowledge of ice accretion and water impingement on it.In this paper,based on two-phase flow theory,two numerical models were presented by using both Eulerian approach and Lagrangian approach,respectively,in order to predict the water impingement efficiency on a two-dimensional(2D)multi-element high-lift airfoil.Both computational results were validated with the experiment data,which shown good agreements in the impingement limitations and tendency.The trend that how the attack angle and droplet diameter affect the feather of local water impingement characteristics on the different elements of MDA were further investigated.As shown in this research,the trends that the local impingement intensity and extent on flap of MDA varied differently as in general understanding due to the complex structures of flow field,which should be careful cognized in design of the ice protection system.Chenxing Yu Peng Ke Guangfeng Yu Chunxin Yang 2015Propulsion and Power Research2015,4,3:4
2Cooperative effect from cation and anion of pyridine-containing anion-based ionic liquids for catalysing CO_2 transformation at ambient conditions显示文摘Pyridine-containing anion-based ionic liquids(PA-ILs) with two kinds of interaction sites to bind CO_2, e.g., [P4444][2-OP], were found to be highly efficient for catalysing the cycloaddition reactions of atmospheric CO_2 with epoxides at room temperature under metal-and halogen-free conditions, producing a series of cyclic carbonates in high yields. 3Study of Cracking Mechanism and Wear Resistance in Laser Cladding Coating of Ni-based Alloy显示文摘Nickel-based alloy coatings were widely used for the remanufacturing of dies and moulds by laser cladding,but the crack sensitivity would be increase due to the higher strength and hardness,which reduced the wear resistance of Ni-based alloys.In this paper,Ni-based coatings with the addition of a plastic phase(an austenitic stainless net)were prepared using laser cladding technology,and the CeO_(2)was added in cladding layers.The cracking mechanism,microhardness,microstructure,phase composition,and wear properties were investigated.The relationship between thermal stress and the elastic and plastic fracture had been developed from the standpoint of fracture mechan-ics and thermal elastic fracture mechanics.The fracture criterion of the nickel-based coating was obtained,and the study has shown that the crack sensitivity could be reduced by decreasing the thermal expansion coefficientΔα.Thus,a new method was proposed,which the stainless steel nets were prefabricated on the substrate.It was found that the number of cracks reduced significantly with the addition of stainless steel net.When the stainless steel net with 14 mesh was added in Ni-based coatings,the average microhardness of nickel composite coating was 565 HV_(0.2),which was 2.6 times higher than that of the 45 steel substrate.Although the rare earth oxide 4 wt.%CeO_(2)and stainless steel net were added in the Ni-based coating reducing the microhardness(the average microhardness is 425 HV_(0.2)),the wear resistance of it improved substantially.The wear volume of Ni-based composite coating was 0.56×10^(−5) mm^(3)·N^(−1)·m^(−1),which was 85.1%lower than that of 45 steel.The experiment results have shown that the Nickel-based composite coating is equipped with low crack sensitivity and high abrasive resistance with austenitic stainless net and the rare earth oxide 4 wt.%CeO2.This research offers an efficient solution to produce components with low crack susceptibility and high wear-resistance coatings fabricated by laser cladding.Zhenglei Yu Lunxiang Li Deqiang Zhang Guangfeng Shi Guang Yang Zezhou Xu Zhihui Zhang 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,5:2
4Using tandem blades to break loading limit of highly loaded axial compressors显示文摘It is confirmed that tandem-blade configurations have potential to enlarge the flow turning in two-dimension(2D) studies. However, the potential of tandem blades to enlarge the design space for highly loaded axial compressors was rarely investigated in open literatures. The present work aims to show the capability of tandem blades to break the loading limit of conventional blades for highly loaded compressors. The 2D models of the maximum static pressure rise derived in previous work were validated by a large amount experimental data, which showed a good agreement. An E parameter was defined to evaluate the stall margin of compressor based on the theoretical models, which indicated that the tandem blade was able to increase the loading limit of axial compressors. A single-blade stage with a loading coefficient of 0.46(based on the blade tip rotating speed) was designed as the baseline case under the guidance of the E parameter. A tandem-blade stage was then designed by ensuring that the velocity triangles were similar to the single-blade stage. The performances of both stages were investigated experimentally. The results showed that the maximum efficiency of the tandem-blade stage was 92.8%, 1% higher than the single;the stall margin increased from 16.9% to 22.3%. 6Numerical and experimental study of bleed impact in multistage axial compressors显示文摘In this study,the influence of inter-stage bleeding on the compressor performance and inter-stage flow field of a multistage axial compressor is investigated by both experimental and numerical methods.The experiment is conducted on a four-stage low-speed axial compressor,and a specific computational model is built to simulate the experiment environment accurately.To illuminate the fluid mechanisms of bleeding effect in detail,both the experiment and the simulation are carried out twice,i.e.,in the first time,the mass flow rate upstream the bleed location is constant under different bleed rate conditions;while in the second time,the mass flow rate downstream the bleed location is constant under different bleed rate conditions.The results demonstrate that inter-stage bleeding has little influence on upstream compressor characteristics,and affects the upstream flow field only in the rear half of the stator.The bleed effect on the downstream flow field is embodied in the variation of an incoming flow profile,an increase as the compressor inlet flow coefficient decreases.Therefore,such an effect is only significant on compressor characteristics at small flow coefficient conditions.In multistage compressors,the variation of compressor characteristics and flow field caused by inter-stage bleeding is the comprehensive result of the bleeding and the variation of the upstream working condition.In addition,the comparison between numerical and experimental results shows that the flow moves towards top half of span through the downstream rotor passage in the numerical simulation,whereas the trend of flow field variation with different bleed rates at the outlet of the downstream rotor and stator is the same with that at the inlet of the downstream rotor in the experiment,which means that the numerical method has overestimated the radial mixing intensity of the flow.Baojie LIU Xinwei ZHUANG Guangfeng AN Xianjun YU 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,2:1

11Exploration of acceptable operating range for a compression system in a double bypass engine显示文摘The variable cycle engine is distinguished by its highly adjustable compression system,whose aerodynamic characteristic is extremely complex.To explore the regulation range of a double bypass engine compression system,a multi-dimensional analysis method is developed,through which the coupling mechanism between the compressor component and the bypass is examined.The operation zones of the compressor components and the bypass system are proposed,and the operation range of the compression system is obtained by calculating the overlapping part of the operation zones.The results show that in the double bypass mode,there exists a minimum mode selector valve area and a minimum core driven fan stage stall margin that ensures a feasible bypass flow,the two parameters correspond to each other.Under the given fan and core driven fan stage conditions,the maximum value of the inner bypass ratio is restricted by the upper limit of the forward variable area bypass injector and the maximum Mach number in the total bypass,while the minimum value of the inner bypass ratio depends on the lower limit of the forward variable area bypass injector geometry and the system recirculation margin.The single bypass mode is a unique condition of the double bypass mode,as the operation zone of the compressor component degenerates from a two-dimensional surface to a straight line.There are multiple bypass states available in the single bypass mode,while the regulation range of the bypass ratio is jointly restricted by the operation range of the high pressure compressor and the aerodynamic boundary of the forward variable area bypass injector.Ruoyu WANG Xianjun YU Baojie LIU Guangfeng AN 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,9:0
12Influence of Aging and 2-hydroxyethyl-methacrylate Content on the Color Stability of Experimental 2-hydroxyethyl-methacrylate-added Dental Glass Ionomers显示文摘Color stability of dental resin modified glass ionomer (RMGI) has been a challenge to dentistry; therefore, systematic changes in 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) content were performed experimentally to find an idea to enhance the color stability. Changes in color (△E*ab) and color coordinates (△L*, △a* and △b*) of experimental 10-50 wt pct HEMA-added dental glass ionomers (HAGIs) and corresponding RMGIs were determined after 5000 cycles of thermocycling. Color changes of HAGIs were not influenced by the HEMA content while △L*, △a* and △b* values were influenced by the HEMA content. Color stability of 30% or 40% HEMA-added HAGIs was not different from those of the commercial RMGIs. 13Temperature-dependent Raman spectroscopy studies of 1-5-layer WSe2显示文摘In this work,Raman measurements of 1-5-layer WSe2 supported on SiO2/Si in the temperature range of 133 to 533 K are reported.A physical model including both volume effect and temperature effect is used to quantitatively understand the nonlinear temperature dependence of E2g^1Raman mode.It is found this nonlinear dependence of Raman mode mainly originates from thermal expansion effect and three-phonon scattering.The former effect increases with an increase in number of layers,which is inverse for the latter effect.The temperature-dependent thermal expansion coefficients of 1-5-layer WSe2 are also obtained from Raman spectra.The full width at half maximum(FWHM)of E;g mode is also systematically studied both experimentally and theoretically in the temperature range of 133 to 413 K.It is found that the increase in FWHM of E2g^1 mode originates from decaying of E2g^1 phonon.This work will promote the understanding of anharmonic behaviors of phonons in WSe2 flakes with different thicknesses.Zhonglin Li Yingying Wang Jie Jiang Yao Liang Bo Zhong Hong Zhang Kai Yu Guangfeng Kan Mingqiang Zou 2020Nano Research2020,13,2:0
14Method for utilizing PIV to investigate high curvature and acceleration boundary layer flows around the compressor blade leading edge显示文摘Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV)is a well-developed and contactless technique in experimental fluid mechanics,but the strong velocity gradient and streamline curvature near the wall substantially limits its accuracy improvement.This paper presents a data processing procedure combining conventional PIV and newly developed Mirror Interchange(MI)based Interface-PIV for the measurement of the boundary layer parameter development in the blade leading edge region.The synthetic particle images are used to analyze the measurement errors in the entire procedure.Overall,three types of errors,namely the errors caused by the Window Deformation Iterative Multigrid(WIDIM)algorithm,the discrete data interpolation and integration,and the wall offset uncertainty,comprise the main measurement error.Specifically,the errors due to the discrete data interpolation and integration and the WIDIM algorithm comprise the mean bias,which can be corrected through the error analysis method proposed in the present work.Meanwhile,the errors due to the WIDIM algorithm and the wall offset uncertainty contribute to the measurement uncertainty.Computational fluid dynamics-based synthetic particle flows were generated to verify the newly developed PIV data processing procedure and the corresponding error analysis method.Results showed that the data processing method could improve the accuracy of PIV measurements for boundary layer flows with high curvature and acceleration and even with significant flow separation bubbles.Finally,the data processing method is also applied in a PIV experiment to investigate the boundary layer flows around a compressor blade leading edge,and several credible boundary flow parameters were obtained.Baojie LIU Xiaobin XU Xianjun YU Guangfeng AN 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,12:0
