1Simulation and study on mitigation measures of frequent subsynchronous oscillation with low amplitude at multi-power plants显示文摘Subsynchronous oscillation (SSO) with low amplitude that exceeds cumulative fatigue threshold of the generator shaft frequently could significantly reduce the shaft's service life, which is a new SSO problem that emerges in recent years. According to the real recording oscillograph, the basic reason for frequently over-threshold SSO with low amplitude at multi-power plants was analyzed based on Hulunbuir League system. The sensitivities of the electrical damping to the main electrical parameters in the contributing loop of subsynchronous torsional interaction were calculated. Based on the sensitivities, a simulation method was presented, which was used to excite the same oscillation as the actual case by exerting disturbance on the firing angle. The limitation of wide-band and narrow-band supplementary subsynchronous damping controller (SSDC) for mitigating this kind of SSO was analyzed based on the electromagnetic transient simulation model of Hulunbuir League system. The difference of supplementary excitation damping controller (SEDC) and parallel-form FACTS connected to the generator terminal was compared from the aspects of response time and the ability of damping torque supplying. The analysis indicates that their response time is similar but FACTS has stronger ability of damping torque supplying than SEDC. Time-domain simulation method was used to compare the mitigation effects of SEDC, static var compensator (SVC) and static synchronous compensator (STATCOM). Considering the mitigation effect, the floor space limit of the power plant and so on, STATCOM was considered as the best mitigation measure. A control strategy of cascaded STATCOM for engineering application was presented and the capacity for SSO mitigation as well as output characteristics was analyzed. 2Whole-system thinking, development control, key barriers and promotion mechanism for EV development显示文摘Electric vehicles(EVs)have received significant attention because of the potential energy savings and emission reductions they enable.However,current studies and demonstrations have focused mainly on specific technologies and equipment types,which cannot in themselves solve the predicaments facing EVs.This study points out that EVs will form a large,complex system that needs to be optimized over different aspects to compete with traditional vehicles.Therefore,wholesystem thinking is needed to support the development control of EVs,with a broader scope than operational control,and the core issue is the interaction between EVs and power grid,including their coordinated development and operational management.For development control of EVs,a target system and a step-wise optimization method are presented,as well as the basic principles for designing the target system.There are two key barriers in EVs’development:the research and mass production of highperformance power batteries,and the formulation of a favorable mechanism to capture benefits and encourage development.To address the problems of EV development,a promotion method that combines franchising with moderate competition is proposed.The concepts and methods developed in this study can facilitate the research and development of EVs.Chunlin GUO Ching Chuen CHAN 2015Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2015,3,2:9
3microRNA-218 suppresses the proliferation, invasion and promotes apoptosis of pancreatic cancer cells by targeting HMGB1显示文摘Objective: To detect the expression profiles of micro RNA-218(mi R-218) in human pancreatic cancer tissue(PCT) and cells and their effects on the biological features of human pancreatic cancer cell line PANC-1 and observe the effect of mi R-218 on the expression of the target gene high mobility group box 1(HMGB1), with an attempt to provide new treatment methods and strategies for pancreatic cancer.Methods: The expressions of mi R-218 in PCT and normal pancreas tissue as well as in various pancreatic cancer cell lines including As PC-1, Bx PC-3, and PANC-1 were determined with quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR). The change of mi R-218 expression in PANC-1 cells was detected using qR T-PCT after the transfection of miR-218 mimic for 48 h. Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8) was applied for detecting the effect of mi R-218 on the activity of PANC-1 cells. The effects of mi R-218 on the proliferation and apoptosis of PANC-1 cells were analyzed using the flow cytometry. The effect of mi R-218 on the migration of PANC-1 cells was detected using the Trans-well migration assay. The HMGB1 was found to be a target gene of mi R-218 by luciferase reporter assay, and the effect of mi R-218 on the expression of HMGB1 protein in cells were determined using Western blotting.Results: As shown by q RT-PCR, the expressions of mi R-218 in PCT and in pancreatic cancer cell line significantly decreased when compared with the normal pancreatic tissue(NPT)(P<0.01). Compared with the control group, the miR-218 expression significantly increased in the PANC-1 group after the transfection of mi R-218 mimic for 48 h(P<0.01). Growth curve showed that the cell viability significantly dropped after the overexpression of mi R-218 in the PANC-1 cells for two days(P<0.05). Flow cytometry showed that the S-phase fraction significantly dropped after the overexpression of mi R-218(P<0.01) and the percentage of apoptotic cells significantly increased(P<0.01). As shown by the Trans-well migration assay, the enhanced mi R-218 expression was associated with a significantly lower number of cells that passed through a Transwell chamber(P<0.01). Luciferase reporter assay showed that, compared with the control group, the relative luciferase activity significantly decreased in the mi R-218 mimic group(P<0.01). As shown by the Western blotting, compared with the control group, the HMGB1 protein expression significantly decreased in the PANC-1 group after the transfection of mi R-218 mimic for 48 h(P<0.01).Conclusions: The mi R-218 expression decreases in human PCT and cell lines. mi R-218 can negatively regulate the HMGB1 protein expression and inhibit the proliferation and invasion of pancreatic cancer cells. 4Thick Miocene eolian deposits on the Huajialing Mountains:The geomorphic evolution of the western Loess Plateau显示文摘The geomorphic evolution of northwestern China during the Cenozoic has been a subject of much geological interest because of its link with the uplift of the Himalayan-Tibetan complex.Much information about these changes is recoverable from the sedimentary sequences of the region.We report here on the thick eolian deposits mantling the Huajialing Mountains,a relatively flat mountain range in the western Loess Plateau.Correlation of magnetic susceptibility stratigraphy with the QA-I Miocene eolian sequence dates a 134.7 m section(NL-VII) for the interval from 18.7 to 11.8 Ma,as confirmed by micro-mammalian fossils.These eolian deposits demonstrate a much wider distribution of the Miocene eolian deposits,and also indicate that the topography contrasts in the western Loess Plateau,including the uplifts of the Huajialing Mountains and the bedrock highlands in the Qinan region,were formed by the early Miocene.The near-continuous Miocene eolian sequence from 18.7 to 11.8 Ma indicates that the substratum of Huajialing had not experienced any intense tectonic changes during this time interval,which suggests further,the relative tectonic stability of the nearby Tibetan Plateau.ZHAN Tao GUO ZhengTang WU HaiBin GE JunYi ZHOU Xin WU ChunLin ZENG FangMing 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,2:7
5microRNA-218 promotes gemcitabine sensitivity in human pancreatic cancer cells by regulating HMGB1 expression显示文摘Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of gemcitabine(GEM) on micro RNA-218(mi R-218) expression in human pancreatic cancer cells.Methods: Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR) was performed to examine the differences in mi R-218 expression between the GEM-sensitive Bx PC-3 pancreatic cancer cells and GEM-resistant PANC-1 cells. The effect of GEM on the expression of mi R-218 in PANC-1 cells was also investigated. PANC-1 cells were transfected either with HMGB1 si RNA to knock down the expression of HMGB1 or with the recombinant HMGB1 expression vector(pc DNA3.1-HMGB1) to overexpress HMGB1. The effect of ectopic expression of HMGB1 on the apoptosis of mi R-218-transfected and GEMtreated PANC-1 cells was examined by flow cytometric analysis.Results: The mi R-218 expression level was lower in GEM-resistant PANC-1 cells compared to GEMsensitive Bx PC-3 cells(P<0.05). The percentage of apoptotic PANC-1 cells was significantly increased in the mi R-218 mimic + GEM group compared to the mimic ctrl + GEM group and the normal control group(P<0.01). The HMGB1 expression level was markedly decreased in PANC-1 cells transfected with HMGB1 si RNA but was significantly increased in PANC-1 cells transfected with the recombinant HMGB1 expression vector, pc DNA3.1-HMGB1(P<0.01). 6An environmental database and temporal and spatial distribution of Chinese paleoanthropological sites显示文摘A comprehensive database of paleoenvironmental settings for paleoanthropological sites provides a useful tool to explore the link between human evolution and paleoenvironmental changes. A preliminary GIS-based environmental database for paleoanthropological sites in China (EDPC) was constructed based on data collected from published literature. The database currently contains 1114 paleoanthropological sites. It will be available for online access following the establishment of relevant rules, and after improvement and further development through regular and sustained updates by internal and external users. 7A general and simple method for evaluating the electrical transport performance of graphene by the van der Pauw–Hall measurement显示文摘Expected for many promising applications in the field of electronics and optoelectronics, a reliable method for the characterization of graphene electrical transport properties is desired to predict its device performance or provide feedback for its synthesis.However, the commonly used methods of extracting carrier mobility from graphene field effect transistor or Hall-bar is time consuming, expensive, and significantly affected by the device fabrication process other than graphene itself.Here we reported a general and simple method to evaluate the electrical transport performance of graphene by the van der Pauw–Hall measurement.By annealing graphene in vacuum to remove the adsorbed dopants and then exposing it in ambient surroundings, carrier mobility as a function of density can be measured with the increase of carrier density due to the dopant re-adsorption from the surroundings.Further, the relationship between the carrier mobility and density can be simply fitted with a power equation to the first level approximation, with which any pair of measured carrier mobility and density can be normalized to an arbitrary carrier density for comparison.We experimentally demonstrated the reliability of the method, which is much simpler than making devices and may promote the standard making for graphene characterization.Fangzhu Qing Yang Shu Linsen Qing Yuting Niu He Guo Shuyi Zhang Chunlin Liu Changqing Shen Wanli Zhang Samuel S.Mao Wenjuan Zhu Xuesong Li 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,22:2
8趋化因子IL-8、MCP-1和MIP-1α在胆囊癌中表达的临床病理学意义(英文)显示文摘Objective: Gallbladder carcinoma was one of the malignant tumors in the digestive system, characterized by high recurrence and invasion. Recent research indicates that chemotactic factors such as IL-8, MCP-1 and MIP-1α have played an important role in such aspects as formulation, growth, shifting of the tumor. The aim of this study was to investigate expressions of IL-8, MCP-1 and MIP-1α in gallbladder adenocarcinoma tissues. Methods: Gallbladder adenocarcinoma and noncancerous tissues were routinely formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded, and in situ hybridization assay for IL-8, MCP-1and MIP-1α mRNA. Results:(1) The positive rates or the scorings of IL-8, MCP-1 and MIP-1α mRNA were significantly higher in human gallbladder adenocarcinoma than those in human chronic cholecystitis(P < 0.01). The positive rates or the scorings of three factors were lower in well-differentiatiated gallbladder adenocarcinoma than in poorly-differenfiatted ones, whereas there was only one significant difference between MCP-1 mRNA(P < 0.05). The closely positive correlation were found among IL-8, MCP-1 and MIP-1α mRNA.(2) Both the positive rates of IL-8 mRNA and MCP-1 mRNA as well as their scorings were tightly related to their invasion of the common bile duct and the occurrence of lymph node transfer, moreover, the positive rates of MIP-1α mRNA and its scorings were tightly related to its invasion of liver.(3) Close positive correlation exists not only in IL-8 mRNA and MCP-1 mRNA(r = 0.528), but also in MIP-1α mRNA and IL-8 mRNA(r = 0.422), so does in MCP-1mRNA and MIP-1α mRNA(r = 0.638). 18Contribution of non-Saccharomyces yeasts to aroma-active compound production,phenolic composition and sensory profile in Chinese Vidal icewine显示文摘To acquire candidate non-Saccharomyces strains for preparation of high-quality Vidal icewine,11 representative indigenous non-Saccharomyces strains were selected for analyzing their production of organic acids,phenolic compounds,aroma-active compounds and evaluating their sensory profile in Vidal juice.The results showed that the contents of organic acids in the wines were controlled and balanced well by the non-Saccharomyces strains as well as polyphenol concentrations were well improved during the fermentation.The strains differed from each other in their ability to produce aroma compounds,causing diversity and complexity of aroma characteristics in wine.Fermentation by Saccharomycopsis crataegensis YC30(Sc)and Hanseniaspora uvarum QTX22(Hu)could enhance the sweet and floral notes in Vidal icewine,especially Sc,which has never been reported before.It can not only enrich the aroma categories,but also increase the content ofδ-decalactone,γ-decalactone,ethyl isobutyrate,ethyl butyrate,phenethyl acetic acid,etc.The evaluation and optimization of non-Saccharomyces yeast strains could provide theoretical basis for the improvement of ice wine quality,and supply new ideas and strategies for the brewing of ice wine.Qian Ge Chunfeng Guo Yue Yan Xiangyu Sun Tingting Ma Jing Zhang Caihong Li Chunlin Gou Tianli Yue Yahong Yuan 2022Food Bioscience2022,46,2:1
