1Single grain Rb-Sr dating of euhedral and cataclastic pyrite from the Qiyugou gold deposit in western Henan, central China显示文摘The Rb-Sr isotopic dating of pyrite mineral from ore deposits can directly provide mineralization age. However, many geological factors may affect the Rb-Sr isotopic system,which baffles application of this method. Employing ultra-low procedural blank Rb-Sr method,we have dated pyrites separated from the No. 4 breccia pipe of the Qiyugou gold deposit,western Henan Province. Single grains of euhedral pyrite crystal with few microcracks yield an isochron age of 126 ± 11 Ma, which represents time of the main mineralization stage of the deposit. Pyrite grains of cataclastic type show nevertheless scattered Rb-Sr isotopic composition and no reasonable isochron can be defined. Crystal morphology and mineral inclusion studies reveal that Rb and Sr of pyrite mineral probably are preserved mainly in biotite, K-feldspar, and sericite mineral inclusions. 2Numerical simulation of the influences of sinker weight on the deformation and load of net of gravity sea cage in uniform flow显示文摘A numerical model for determining fishing net configuration and load is developed, based on the lumped masses method. The model is used to analyze the influences on the net of gravity sea cage by different sinker weights in uniform flow. The net of gravity sea cage is simulated under different current velocities and sinker weights. In order to verify the validity of the numerical results, model test results made by Lader and Enerhaug are cited and compared with the numerical ones. The results of numerical simulation agree well with the experimental ones and the agreement is within an error range of 13% under different velocities and sinker weights. The numerical results indicate that increasing the sinker weight can effectively reduce the net deformation, but the total drag force on the net will increase accordingly. 3Ultra-low procedural blank and the single-grain mica Rb-Sr isochron dating显示文摘Both low procedural blank and high-precision measurements of isotopic ratios are crucial for the analysis of micro samples. This study reports a chemical procedure of ultra-low blank for the high precision measurement of Sr isotopic ratios on micro samples (<1 ng level) using a new-type thermal ionization mass spectrometer IsoProbe-T, with a case study of single-grain Rb-Sr isochron dating on phlogopite from the Fuxian kimberlite in Liaoning Province. 4Elevated expression of mature miR-21 and miR-155 in cancerous gastric tissues from Chinese patients with gastric cancer显示文摘Objective:MicroRNA (miRNA) expression is deregulated in many types of human cancers.We sought to investigate the expression patterns of the miRNAs,miR-21,miR-145 and miR-155 in sporadic gastric cancer in a Chinese population.Methods:Total RNA was extracted from archived gastric cancer tissues and adjacent non-cancerous tissues from 20 pairs of paraffin-embedded specimens.Expression levels of miR-21,miR- 145 and miR-155 were detected by quantitative reverse transcriptase PCR using a specific stem-loop primer,with U6 as the internal reference gene.Results:The expression of miR-21 and miR-155 in gastric cancer samples was significantly higher than in paired non-cancerous samples(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in expression levels of miR-145 between cancerous and non-cancerous tissues(P>0.05).Conclusion:In Chinese sporadic gastric cancer tissues,the expressions of the oncogenic miR-21 and miR-155 were significantly up-regulated,while the expression of the tumor suppressor miR-145 was decreased,although this decrease was not statistically significant.Thus there is specificity in the miRNA expression pattern in gastric cancers in the Chinese population.Li Liu Qi Chen Rensheng Lai Xiaobin Wu Xiaoyu Wu Fukun Liu Guohua Xu Yong Ji 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,3:11
5Determination on ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratio and stratigraphic dating of single-grain foraminifera显示文摘The Sr isotopic composition of foraminifera has been used in studies of chronstratigraphy and sedi- mentary geochemistry. However, it is difficult to sample foraminifera without overprinting of later diagenesis, which contains enough amount of Sr for isotopic measurement. Analysis of single-grain foraminifera was successively conducted by a combination of low Sr procedural blank and high precision determination of 87Sr/86Sr ratio. This combi- nation of single-grain foraminifera can be significant for the study and application of Sr isotopic composition of fo- raminifera. Measured foraminifera of this study, having a size between 250 μm and 400 μm, were sampled from the carbonate basement of a ferromanganese crust in western Pacific. Mean value of 87Sr/86Sr ratios of the analyzed sin- gle-grain foraminifera is 0.709150 ±0.000013 with internal precision between 4 ppm and 8 ppm for each measurement run. Average value of total procedural blank of Sr is 14 pg. It is significant but difficult to date foraminifera in carbonate basements of ferromanganese crusts. 10Reservoir space of the Es_3~3–Es_4~1shale in Dongying sag显示文摘The Es33–Es41shales in Dongying sag are source rocks with large reserves of shale oil and gas. For the identification of development characteristics and geological significance of the reservoir space, FMI logging,core observation, thin section analysis, X-ray diffraction, fluorescence microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, mercury porosimetry, low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, atomic force microscopy, and conventional physical property testing were used to study the petrology and reservoir space of the Es33–Es41shale in Dongying sag. The results suggest that the shale is rich in carbonate minerals. Phanerocrystalline stratiform and lamellar argillaceous limestone and calcareous claystone are the oil- and gas-bearing lithofacies. The oil in the micropores is mainly present as membranes and clots. The shale reservoir space has a network structure with veins, carbonate and clay minerals, and micropores among pyrite and the matrix. 11Detection of oil spills in a complex scene of SAR imagery显示文摘We present a method for detecting oil spills in a complex scene of SAR imagery,including segmenting oil spills,and avoiding false alarms.Segmentation is carried out using a multi-time and multi-hierarchical method by dividing the complex sea surface into bright sea and dark sea.Gray-based and edge-based segmentations are done to extract oil spills from bright and dark sea,respectively.The proposed method can extract complete oil spills,obtain better visual results,and increase detection probability more accurately than the traditional method.Based on the surrounding features and the oil spills’features,dark land spots and low contrast dark spots are removed efficiently,thus reducing false alarms.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has fast computation speed,high detection accuracy,and is very useful and effective for detecting oil spills in SAR imagery.FENG Jing CHEN He BI FuKun LI JunXia WEI Hang 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11:4
12Tracing the sources of particles in the East Rongbuk ice core from Mt. Qomolangma显示文摘Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic tracer was applied, for the first time, to identifying the sources of the particles in the East Rongbuk ice core from Mt. Qomalangma (Everest). The results show that the particles in the dirty layers originate mainly from local sources, while the particles in the non-dirty layers are consistent with the features of dust from the arid regions in northwestern India. 14A Novel Algorithm of Water Region Detection in SAR Image Based on Bag of Visual Words and Local Pattern Histogram显示文摘Water region detection based on SAR images is a difficult problem for its computing complexity.This paper proposes a novel water region detection method in SAR image of complex scenery. The algorithm takes advantages of Bag of visual words(BOV) to precisely describe the homogeneous region in complex scenery. Local pattern histogram(LPH) and single-class Support vector machine(SVM) are adopted to determine the edge information of water region precisely. The feature extraction is calculated block by block, which reduces computing workload and interference from noise. 17Acoustic emission characteristics and stress release rate of coal samples in different dynamic destruction time显示文摘Considering the importance of the prediction of rock burst disasters, and in order to grasp the law of acoustic emission(AE) of coal samples in different dynamic destruction time, the SH-II AE monitoring system was adopted to monitor the failure process of coal samples. The study of the change rule of the AE numbers, energy, ‘b' value and spectrum in the micro crack propagation process of the coal samples shows that as dynamic damage time went by, AE presented high-energy counts and the accumulated counts increased during the compression phase. The AE energy and cumulative counts increased during the elastic stage. The AE blank area increased gradually and the blank lines were more and more obvious in the molding stage. The AE counts and energy showed a trend of decrease in the residual damage phase.AE ‘b' values gradually became sparse, and the large scale cracks percentage compared with micro cracks decreased and the degree of damage decreased. The AE frequency spectrum peak went from the residual damage phase to the molding phase, and finally it was nearly stable, besides the bandwidth of the main frequency is gradually narrowed. Also, the frequency peak changed from single peak frequency to bi-peak frequency and to the single peak frequency.
