A Nosocomial COVID-19 Outbreak Initiated by an Infected Dockworker at Qingdao City Port-Shandong Province, China, October, 2020显示文摘On October 10,2020,3 cases of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)were detected via routine preadmission nucleic acid screening of inpatients and their visitors at Qingdao Central Hospital. The 3 cases were all related to the Qingdao Chest Hospital. An additional 9 cases were discovered and confirmed through tracing and testing contacts of the 3 initial cases.Viral isolates from all 12 cases were found to have high degrees of genetic homology with the viral isolate from a dockworker at Qingdao Port, referred to as Patient A in this report.A joint investigation team was formed to determine the source of infection and the scale of the outbreak, and to prevent further spread of the virus.Qun Yuan Zengqiang Kou Fachun Jiang Zhongjie Li Lijie Zhang Huihui Liu Xiang Zhao Dianmin Kang Ruqin Gao Jie Lei 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,43:12
Controlled Nanocutting of Graphene显示文摘Rapid progress in graphene-based applications is calling for new processing techniques for creating graphene components with different shapes, sizes, and edge structures. Here we report a controlled cutting process for graphene sheets, using nickel nanoparticles as a knife that cuts with nanoscale precision. The cutting proceeds via catalytic hydrogenation of the graphene lattice, and can generate graphene pieces with specifi c zigzag or armchair edges. The size of the nanoparticle dictates the edge structure that is produced during the cutting. The cutting occurs along straight lines and along symmetry lines, defined by angles of 60ºor 120º,and is defl ected at free edges or defects, allowing practical control of graphene nano-engineering.Lijie Ci Zhiping Xu Lili Wang Wei Gao Feng Ding Kevin F.Kelly Boris I.Yakobson Pulickel M.Ajayan 2008Nano Research2008,1,2:11
Local and long-range transport influences on PM_(2.5) at a cities-cluster in northern China, during summer 2008显示文摘Hourly PM2.5 concentrations were observed simultaneously at a cities-cluster comprising 10 cities/towns in Hebei province in China from July 1 to 31,2008. Among the 10 cities/towns, Baoding showed the highest average concentration level(161.57(jig/m3) and Yanjiao exhibited the lowest(99.35(jig/m3). These observed data were also studied using the joint potential source contribution function with 24-h and72-h backward trajectories, to identify more clearly the local and countrywide-scale long-range transport sources. For the local sources, three important influential areas were found, whereas five important influential areas were defined for long-range transport sources. Spatial characteristics of PM2.5 were determined by multivariate statistical analyses. Soil dust, coal combustion, and vehicle emissions might be the potential contributors in these areas. The results of a hierarchical cluster analysis for back trajectory endpoints and PM2.5 concentrations datasets show that the spatial characteristics of PM2.5 in the cities-cluster were influenced not only by local sources, but also by long-range transport sources. Different cities in the cities-cluster obtained different weighted contributions from local or long-range transport sources. Cangzhou, Shijiazhuang, and Baoding are near the source areas in the south of Hebei province, whereas Zhuozhou, Yangfang, Yanjiao, Xianghe, and Langfang are close to the sources areas near Beijing and Tianjin.Lijie Gao Yingze Tian Caiyan Zhang Guoliang Shi Huize Hao Fang Zeng Chunli Shi Meigen Zhang Yinchang Feng Xiang Li 2014Particuology2014,12,2:9
INVESTIGATIONS OF MAIN FACTORS AFFECTING TROPOSPHERIC NITRATE AEROSOL USING A COUPLING MODEL显示文摘Factors affecting tropospheric nitrate aerosol formation were investigated through a number of sensitivity studies using the thermodynamic equilibrium model ISORROPIA and the condensed gas-phase chemistry model. Re-sults indicate that the equilibrium concentration of nitrate aerosol varies with solar zenith angle, air temperature, relative humidity, initial SO2 concentration, initial NO2 concentration and initial NH3 concentration. NH3 concentration and solar zenith angle play the most important roles, followed by relative humidity and NO2 concentration. It seems that the rela-tions between nitrate aerosol and these four factors, as well as air temperature, are strong and highly nonlinear due to the coupling effect. The influence of SO2 concentration on nitrate aerosol is near-linear and weak.Tijian Wang Shu Li Fei Jiang Lijie Gao 2006China Particuology2006,4,6:5
Investigation of stress corre-sion cracking under anodic dissolution control显示文摘This review is about stress corrosion cracking (SCC) under anodic dissolution control. The section 1 is the methods distinguishing SCC controlled by anodic dissolution from those by hydrogen. The section 2 presents hydrogen-enhanced corrosion and SCC under anodic dissolution control. The section 3 demonstrates corrosion-enhanced localized plasticity and corrosion-induced deformation localization, which are the fundaments of new mechanism of SCC. The section 4 is an overview of the proposed mechanisms of SCC under anodic dissolution control. The last section proposes a new mechanism of SCC.Wuyang Chu Lijie Qiao Kewei Gao 2001Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,9:4
Preliminary Analysis of Diesel-Degrading Bacteria Immobilized on Organic Carriers in Seawater显示文摘Oil pollution in marine environment is becoming increasingly serious. Oil bioremediation by immobilization technology has been widely studied. However, the effect of bacteria immobilization was limited because of lack of nutrients. In this paper, the organic materials(corn straw, corn cob and corn leaf) were used as carriers. The diesel removal rate achieved by the immobilized bacteria was studied, and the effects of nutrients(e.g. nitrogen and phosphorus) released from organic carriers to the immobilized bacteria were analyzed. Test results indicated that a certain amount of nutrients was released from organic carriers. Additionally, the diesel removal rates achieved by different immobilized bacteria were all higher than those achieved by free bacteria. And, the diesel removal rates achieved by bacteria decreased in the following order: bacteria immobilized on corn straw(79%), bacteria immobilized on corn leaf(70%) and bacteria immobilized on corn cob(43%). These findings indicated two aspects, viz.: the carriers porous structure and the nutrients, which were favorable to biodegradation. Finally, the changes in nitrogen and phosphorus contents that were released from different carriers during biodegradation were studied. The results showed that the rate of diesel biodegradation was fast in the initial phase because of the sufficient nutrients released from carriers. Meanwhile, in the final phase, the rate of diesel biodegradation was relatively slow because of few nutrients released from carriers.Liu Zhixiu Xue Jianliang Wu Yanan Li Menglu Sun Xiyu Cui Hao Cheng Lijie Gao Yu Xiao Xinfeng 2017China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2017,19,2:4
Effects of methylphenidate on resting-state brain activity in normal adults: an fMRI study显示文摘Methylphenidate (MPH) is one of the most commonly used stimulants for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Although several studies have evaluated the effects of MPH on human brain activation during specific cognitive tasks using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), few studies have focused on spontaneous brain activity. In the current study, we investigated the effect of MPH on the intra-regional synchronization of spontaneous brain activity during the resting state in 18 normal adult males. A handedness questionnaire and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale were applied before medication, and a resting-state fMRI scan was obtained 1 h after medication (20 mg MPH or placebo, order counterbalanced between participants). We demonstrated that: (1) there were no significant differences in the performance of behavioral tasks between the MPH and placebo groups; (2) the left middle and superior temporal gyri had stronger MPH-related regional homogeneity (ReHo); and (3) the left lingual gyrus had weaker MPH-related ReHo. Our findings showed that the ReHo in some brain areas changes with MPH compared to placebo in normal adults, even though there are no behavioral differences. This method can be applied to patients with mental illness who may be treated with MPH, and be used to compare the difference between patients taking MPH and normal participants, to help reveal the mechanism of how MPH works.Yihong Zhu Bin Gao Jianming Hua Weibo Liu Yichao Deng Lijie Zhang Biao Jiang Yufeng Zang 2013Neuroscience Bulletin2013,29,1:4
Is male condition corrected with song features in Dusky Warblers(Phylloscopus fuscatus)显示文摘Background: Birdsong is an important form of communication that plays an important role in territorial defense and mate attraction by conveying valuable information. While body-size and song frequency are often negatively correlated among species, this relationship is only found in a few songbirds. Previous studies on the Dusky Warbler (Phylloscopus fuscatus) found that there was a positive correlation between tarsus length and peak frequency. And heavier male Dusky Warblers possess better territories and obtain more opportunities for mating;body condition may be related to reproduction of birds, so females may choose heavier mates or better body condition based on the singing characteristics of males. Methods: We recorded spontaneous song and measured morphology of 33 male Dusky Warblers in Saihanba Forest Farm area between July 5 and August 10, 2015. We chose body weight as an indicator of body size and defined body condition as residuals from a linear regression between body weight and tarsus length. Frist, we used Pearson correlation to analyze whether date and time of day were correlated with weight, and then we used linear regression to analyze whether sound features could indicate the body weight and body condition. We call body weight and body condition the male condition. Results: We found no effect of date and time of day on weight, and we showed a correlation between the male condition and song features in the small songbird, Dusky Warbler. Maximum trill quality and maximum peak frequency of songs were negatively related to male condition;the mean number of syllables of songs and maximum high frequency of songs were positively correlated with body weight and body condition. Conclusions: In the small songbird, Dusky Warbler, four song parameters, including maximum trill quality, mean number of syllables of songs, maximum peak frequency of songs, maximum high frequency of songs, significantly predicted male condition change of which the most important song characteristic for male condition was maximum trill quality. This study suggested that the extreme song features were more constrained by male condition than mean sound characteristics.Jiaojiao Wang Jianping Liu Zhenqun Zhang Hongxin Ren Lijie Gao Jianhua Hou 2019Avian Research2019,10,2:3

Self-healing carrageenan-driven polyacrylamide hydrogels for strain sensing显示文摘Conductive hydrogels have attached considerable attention due to their good stretchability, excellent conductivity when they are applied in soft electronics. However,to fabricate a flexible hydrogel sensor with excellent toughness and good self-healing properties remains a challenge. In this work,we assembled a dual physical-crosslinking(DPC) ionic conductive polyacrylamide/carrageenan double-network(DN) hydrogel. This hydrogel has excellent fracture tensile stress and toughness, and demonstrates rapid self-recovery and self-healing ability due to the unique dual physical-crosslinking structures. Besides, the hydrogel is highly conductive by adding some conductive ions. As a result, the hydrogel-based sensor can stably detect human motions and physiological signals. The work provides novel ideas for the development of flexible sensing devices.FAN ZiWen DUAN LiJie GAO GuangHui 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,12:2
An investigation of corrosion-induced stress during SCC显示文摘TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope) observations show that corrosion process during stress corrosion cracking (SCC)enhances dislocation emission and motion; and microcrack of SCC initiates when the corrosion-enhanced dislocation emission and motion reaches a certain condition. The passive film or dealloyed layer formed during corrosion or SCC can induce a large tensile stress, which can assist the applied stress to enhance dislocation emission and motion, and then SCC occurs. Experiments show that the variation of SCC susceptibility of brass, α-Ti and stainless steel with the applied potential and pH value of the solution is consistent with that of the corrosion-induced additive stress. Molecular dynamics simulations show that a dealloyed layer can generate a tensile stress; and the corrosion (dealloyed layer)-induced tensile stress can assist the applied stress to enhance dislocation emission and crack propagation.Wuyang Chu, Kewei Gao, Lijie Qiao, and Yue ZhangDepartment of Materials Physics, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China 2003Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2003,10,1:2
Initiating, growing and cracking of hydrogen blisters显示文摘The growing process of a hydrogen blister in a wheel steel was observed in situ with an optical microscope, and the fracture surfaces formed from broken blisters on a wheel steel and bulk metallic glass were investigated. The initiating, growing, cracking and breaking of hydrogen blis-ters are as follows. Supersaturated vacancies can increase greatly during charging and gather together into a vacancy cluster (small cavity). Hydrogen atoms become hydrogen molecules in the vacancy cluster and hydrogen molecules can stabilize the vacancy cluster. The small cavity becomes the nucleus of hydrogen blister. The blister will grow with enter-ing of vacancies and hydrogen atoms. With increasing hy-drogen pressure, plastic deformation occurs first, the hydro-gen blister near the surface extrudes, and then cracks initiate along the wall of the blister with further increasing hydrogen pressure. A cracked blister can grow further through propa-gating of cracks until it breaks.REN Xuechong SHAN Guangbin CHU Wuyang SU Yanjing GAO Kewei QIAO Lijie JIANG Bo CHEN Gang CUI Yinhui 2005Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,17:2

Three-dimensional molecular dynamics simulation of hydrogen-enhanced dislocation emission and crack propagation显示文摘A three-dimensional molecular dynamics simulation using the embedded atom method (EAM) potentials shows that for both pure Ni and Ni+H, dislocations are firstly emitted during loading and the crack propagates after enough disloca tions are emitted. In the case of hydrogen embrittlement, local plastic deformat ion is a precondition for crack propagation. For the crack along the (1 11) slip pla ne, one atom fraction in percent of hydrogen can decrease the critical stress in tensity for dislocation emission KIe from 0.42 to 0.36 MPam 1/2, and that for crack propagation KIp from 0.80 to 0.76 MPam1/2. Therefore, hydrogen enhances dislocation emission and crack pro pagation.LI Zhongji, CHU Wuyang, LI Jinxu, GAO Kewei and QIAO Lijie(Department of Materials Physics, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China) 2002Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2002,12,9:1
