| 1 | Sedum alfredii H:A new Zn hyperaccumulating plant first found in China显示文摘Field survey and greenhouse experiments were carried out to identify and characterize zinc (Zn) uptake and accumulation by a new Zn hyperaccumulating plant species (Sedum alfredii Hance) native to China. Zinc concentration in the shoots of Sedum alfredii Hance grown on an ancient mined area ranged from 4134 to 5000 mg/kg, with a mean of 4515 mg/kg. It suggests that Sedum alfredii could not only grow on heavily Pb/Zn contaminated soils, but also could accumulate extraordinarily high concentration of Zn. Under nutrient solution culture conditions, Sedum alfredii Hance grew healthy at Zn supplying levels from 0.006 to 240 mg · L-1. Zinc concentration in the shoots increased with external Zn levels increasing. The Zn concentration and accumulation in the shoots reached the highest at Zn supply level of SO mg/L, with 19.67 g/kg and 19.83 nig/plant, respectively. All the results showed that Sedum alfredii Hance is a new Zn hyperaccumulating plant. | 3 | Interaction of hepatitis C virus envelope glycoprotein E2 with the large extracellular loop of tupaia CD81显示文摘AIM: To further analyze the interaction of tupaia CD81 with hepatitis C virus (HCV) envelope protein E2. METHODS: A tupaia CD81 large extracellular loop (CD81 LEL), which binds to HCV E2 protein, was cloned and expressed as a GST-fusion protein, and interaction of HCV E2 protein with a tupaia CD81 LEL was evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (EIA). RESULTS: Although tupaia and human CD81 LEL differed in 6 amino acid changes, tupaia CD81 LEL was strongly recognized by anti-CD81 antibodies against human CD81 LEL conformation-dependent epitopes. Investigating LEL CD81-E2 interactions by EIA, we demonstrated that binding of tupaia CD81 LEL GST fusion protein to recombinant HCV E2 protein was markedly reduced compared to binding of human CD81 LEL GST fusion protein to recombinant HCV E2 protein. CONCLUSION: These data suggest that the structural differences in-between the tupaia and human CD81 may alter the interaction of the large extracellular loop with HCV envelope glycoprotein E2. | 4 | Effects of acid deposition on terrestrial ecosystems and their rehabilitation strategies in China显示文摘South China has become the third largest region associated with acid deposition following Europe and North America, the area subject to damage by acid deposition increased from 1.75 million km 2 in 1985 to 2.8 million km 2 in 1993. Acid deposition has caused serious damage to ecosystem. Combined pollution of acid rain and SO 2 showed the obvious multiple effects on crops. Vegetable was more sensitive to acid deposition than foodstuff crops. Annual economic loss of crops due to acid deposition damage in eleven provinces of south China was 4.26 billion RMB Yuan. Acid deposition caused serious damage to forest. Annual economic loss of wood volume was about 1.8 billion RMB Yuan and forest ecological benefit loss 16.2 billion in eleven provinces of south China. Acid deposition in south China was typical “sulfuric acid type”. | 5 | Rotational Swashplate Pulse Continuously Variable Transmission Based on Helical Gear Axial Meshing Transmission显示文摘The current research on pulse continuously variable transmission(CVT) is mainly focused on reducing the pulse degree and making pulse degrees a constant value. Current research mainly confined to find out new design parameters by using the method of optimization, and reduce the pulse degree of pulse CVT and its range of variation. But the fact is that the reduction of the pulse degree is not significant. This article presents a new structure of mechanical pulse CVT-the rotational swashplate pulse CVT with driven by helical gear axial meshing. This transmission is simple and compact in structure and low in pulsatile rate (it adopts 6 guide rods), and the pulsatile degree is irrelevant to the transmission ratio. Theoretically, pulsatile rate could be reduced to zero if appropriate curved surface of the swashplate is used. Compared with the connecting rod pulse CVT, the present structure uses helical gear mechanism as transmission part and it avoids unbalanced inertial force in the former model. This paper analyzes the principle of driving of this transmission, presents its mechanical structure, and discusses its motion characteristics. Experimental prototype of this type of CVT has been manufactured. Tests for the transmission efficiency(when the rotational speed of the output shaft is the maximum) and the angular velocity of the output shaft have been carried out, and data have been analyzed. The experimental results show that the speed of the output shaft for the experimental prototype is slightly lower than the theoretical value, and the transmission efficiency of the experimental prototype is about 70%. The pulse degree of the CVT discussed in this paper is less than the existing pulse CVT of other types, and it is irrelevant to the transmission ratio of the CVT. | 6 | 小麦TILLING突变体检测中基因组DNA提取方法的优化显示文摘为了优化小麦高通量TILLING突变体扫描所需基因组DNA提取的方法,对利用SDS法、改良SDS法、CTAB法、改良CTAB法、AxyPrep DNA提取试剂盒、Qiagen DNeasy Plant Mini Kit试剂盒以及再生Qiagen硅胶柱方法提取的小麦基因组DNA进行了系统比较。结果表明,尽管7种方法所提取DNA的纯度及琼脂糖凝胶电泳检测结果均良好,但再生Qiagen硅胶柱方法、CTAB法和改良SDS法的DNA浓度显著高于其他方法。根据小麦细胞分裂素氧化酶基因1(TaCKX1)的DNA序列设计引物,以新鲜DNA样品用于PCR扩增大于1 000bp的片段时,后4种方法扩增效果优于前3种方法;DNA在-20℃下保存100d后重新进行PCR扩增时,则只有Qiagen试剂盒和再生Qiagen硅胶柱2种方法提取的DNA能扩增出大于1 000bp的片段。采用本实验室与新西兰坎特伯雷大学合作建立的再生硅胶柱与自配提取液提取小麦基因组DNA,既保证了DNA的高质量,又降低了使用试剂盒的成本,为小麦TILLING库的构建及其他相关试验提供了一种经济有效的DNA提取方法。 | 徐艳 徐继法 陈磊 赵吉强 FU Zeyu JAMESON Paula E 宋建成 | 2017 | 麦类作物学报2017,37,2: | 8 |
| 7 | Climate controls on dust storm occurrence in Maowusu Desert, Inner Mongolia, North China显示文摘Dust storms occurring in arid and semi arid regions play a main role in the evolution of landscapes. Climate is generally regarded to be important factors influencing the occurrence of dust storm, however, the way of climate controlling dust storms had been poorly understood. In this paper, we present the Ew Index model to describe the relationship between climate variables and dust storm frequency using the available meteorological data from three meteorological stations in Maowusu Desert. This index model explains 83.6%, 69.5% and 65.09% of the variance of dust storm frequency in three regions from the north to the south, respectively and this difference is probably caused by the difference of the human disturbance. | 9 | Acute pancreatitis in aging animals:Loss of pancreatitis-associated protein protection?显示文摘AIM:To investigate the effect of age on severity of acute pancreatitis(AP) using biochemical markers,histology and expression of the protective pancreatitisassociated proteins(PAPs).METHODS:AP was induced via intraductal injection of 4% sodium taurocholate in young and old rats.Sera and pancreata were assayed at 24 h for the parameters listed above;we also employed a novel molecular technique to assess bacterial infiltration using polymerase chain reaction to measure bacterial genomic ribosomal RNA.RESULTS:At 24 h after induction of AP,the pancreata of older animals had less edema(mean ± SE histologic score of young vs old:3.11 ± 0.16 vs 2.50 ±-0.11,P < 0.05),decreased local inflammatory response(histologic score of stromal infiltrate:3.11 ± 0.27 vs 2.00 ± 0.17,P < 0.05) and increased bacterial infiltration(174% ± 52% increase from sham vs 377% ± 4%,P < 0.05).A decreased expression of PAP1 and PAP2 was demonstrated by Western blotting analysis and immunohistochemical staining.There were no differences in serum amylase and lipase activity,or tissue myeloperoxidase or monocyte chemotactic protein-1 levels.However,in the most-aged group,serum C-reactive protein levels were higher(young vs old:0.249 ± 0.04 mg/dL vs 2.45 ± 0.68 mg/dL,P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:In older animals,there is depressed PAP expression related to a blunted inflammatory response in AP which is associated with worsened bacterial infiltration and higher C-reactive protein level;this may explain the more aggressive clinical course. | Sophia Fu Albert Stanek Cathy M Mueller Nefertti A Brown Chongmin Huan Martin H Bluth Michael E Zenilman | 2012 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,26: | 5 |
| 10 | Effect of long-term fertilization on soil nitrate distribution显示文摘A thirteen years long term field fertilizer experiment was conducted to monitor the effect of different fertilization on soil nitrate distribution. The results showed: (1) Applying relative excessive N fertilizer could result large quantities of NO - 3 residue and NO - 3 movement downward in soil profiles; amending phosphate fertilizer or organic manure with nitrogen fertilizer together could significantly improve the status of NO - 3 leaching downward due to the balanced uptake of nutrients by crops. (2) Appropriate amounts of nitrogen fertilizer which was equal or smaller than the optimal fertilization rate could not result in more NO - 3 leaching in Northern China. | 12 | Eco-environment evolvement analysis of Ertan reservoir catchment based on remote sensing显示文摘Hydropower project may bring with it social-economic profits as well as side effects.The built dam and reservoir often cause some problems to the surrounding areas,among which the ecological and environmental effects caused by hydropower projects are always concerned by the public.In this article,we take the Ertan reservoir catchment as the research area and try to quantitatively analyze the variation of vegetation cover and soil erosion by remote sensing technique,and to comprehensively assess the evolvement and development trend of reservoir catchment.Soil erosion,land use/cover are used as ecological and environmental indicators which reflect the changes before,after and in the period of the construction of Ertan hydropower station.Supported by the multi-source remote sensing data(from satellite Landsat and CBERS) and DEM data,the land use/cover is interpreted through RS images which are classified both by unsupervised and supervised method,and the driving factors of the ecological changes are also analyzed.At the same time,the changes of soil loss are also monitored and analyzed during flood seasons of Ertan reservoir area before and after reservoir impoundment(1995,2000 and 2005) using the revised universal soil loss equation(RUSLE) .The results show that during the recent 13 years the arable land area has decreased obviously,and construction area and water surface have increased slightly.The increase of vegetation cover has some relations with the implementation of local ecological projects,i.e.,de-farming to forestry and de-farming to pasture projects.At the same time,changes may also be caused by the climate adjustment in the reservoir area.In the ten years from 1995 to 2005,the high soil loss classes were transforming to lowly level classes continuously.All of these show that the soil loss of Ertan reservoir area is getting better. | PANG ZhiGuo ,GE DeXiang & FU Jun E State Key Laboratory of Simulation and Regulation of Water Cycle in River Basin,,China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research,Beijing 100048,China | 2011 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,S1: | 3 |

| 14 | The Alzheimer's disease-associated gene TREML2 modulates inflammation by regulating microglia polarization and NLRP3 inflammasome activation显示文摘Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-like 2(TREML2)is a newly identified susceptibility gene for Alzheimer's disease(AD).It encodes a microglial inflammation-associated receptor.To date,the potential role of mic roglial TREML2 in neuroinflammation in the context of AD remains unclear.In this study,APP/PS1 mice were used to investigate the dynamic changes of TREML2 levels in brain during AD progression.In addition,lipopolysaccharide(LPS)stimulation of primary microglia as well as a lentivirus-mediated TREML2 overexpression and knockdown were employed to explore the role of TREML2 in neuroinflammation in the context of AD.Our res ults show that TREML2 levels gradually increased in the brains of AP P/PS1 mice during disease progression.LPS stimulation of primary microglia led to the release of inflammato ry cytokines including interleukin-1β,inte rleukin-6,and tumor necrosis factor-a in the culture medium.The LPS-induced mic roglial release of inflammatory cytokines was enhanced by TREML2 overexpression and was attenuated by TREML2 knoc kdown.LPS increased the levels of mic roglial M1-type polarization marker inducible nitric oxide synthase.This effect was enhanced by TREML2 overexpression and ameliorated by TREML2 knockdown.Furthermore,the levels of microglial M2-type polarization markers CD206 and ARG1 in the primary microglia were reduced by TREML2 overexpression and elevated by TREML2 knockdown.LPS stimulation increased the levels of NLRP3 in primary microglia.The LPS-induced increase in NLRP3 was further elevated by TREML2 overexpression and alleviated by TREML2 knockdown.In summary,this study provides the first evidence that TREML2 modulates inflammation by regulating microglial polarization and NLRP3 inflammasome activation.These findings reveal the mechanisms by which TREML2 regulates microglial inflammation and suggest that TREML2 inhibition may represent a novel therapeutic strategy for AD. | Si-Yu Wang Xin-Xin Fu Rui Duan Bin Wei Hai-Ming Cao Yan E Shuai-Yu Chen Ying-Dong Zhang Teng Jiang | 2023 | Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,2: | 2 |
| 15 | Evolving Neural Network Using Variable String Genetic Algorithm for Color Infrared Aerial Image Classification显示文摘Coastal wetlands are characterized by complex patterns both in their geomorphic and ecological features. Besides field observations, it is necessary to analyze the land cover of wetlands through the color infrared (CIR) aerial photography or remote sensing image. In this paper, we designed an evolving neural network classifier using variable string genetic algorithm (VGA) for the land cover classification of CIR aerial image. With the VGA, the classifier that we designed is able to evolve automatically the appropriate number of hidden nodes for modeling the neural network topology optimally and to find a near-optimal set of connection weights globally. Then, with backpropagation algo-rithm (BP), it can find the best connection weights. The VGA-BP classifier, which is derived from hybrid algorithms mentioned above, is demonstrated on CIR images classification effectively.
