| 1 | Availability-based simulation and optimization modeling framework for open-pit mine truck allocation under dynamic constraints显示文摘We present a novel system productivity simulation and optimization modeling framework in which equipment availability is a variable in the expected productivity function of the system. The framework is used for allocating trucks by route according to their operating performances in a truck-shovel system of an open-pit mine, so as to maximize the overall productivity of the fleet. We implement the framework in an originally designed and specifically developed simulator-optimizer software tool. We make an application on a real open-pit mine case study taking into account the stochasticity of the equipment behavior and environment. The total system production values obtained with and without considering the equipment reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) characteristics are compared. | 2 | Graphene-and Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes-Coated Tapered Plastic Optical Fiber for Detection of Lard Adulteration in Olive Oil显示文摘A rapid and high-performance sensor for lard adulterant in edible oil was developed using the tapered plastic optical fiber(POF)coated with graphene and multi-walled carbon nanotubes.The coating material was deposited onto a tapered POF with a taper waist diameter and a taper length of 0.45 mm and 1 cm,respectively.The addition of the coating material was used to increase the sensitivity and selectivity coefficient of the tapered POF toward the lard substance.The sensing mechanism is based on a simultaneous interaction of lard substance and an evanescent wave of tapered POF with the coating layers.The results showed that graphene coating on the tapered POF increased the selectivity coefficient of the tapered POF towards lard substance from 33.54 to 324.19,and it gave a sensitivity of 0.427 dBm/%.In comparison,multi-walled carbon nanotubes coating increased the selectivity coefficient to 71.65 and increased its sensitivity to 1.189 dBm/%.Thus,the proposed configuration of the tapered POF with the coating material offered a simple configuration for a rapid,high sensitivity and selectivity detection of lard adulterant in edible oils. | Ika PUSPITA Ninik IRAWATI Kartika Anoraga MADURANI Fredy KURNIAWAN Sekartedjo KOENTJORO Agus Muhamad HATTA | 2022 | Photonic Sensors2022，12，4： | 2 |
| 3 | DET1-mediated COP1 regulation avoids HY5 activity over second-site gene targets to tune plant photomorphogenesis显示文摘DE-ETIOLATED 1(DET1)and CONSTITUTIVE PHOTOMORPHOGENESIS 1(COP1)are two essential repressors of Arabidopsis photomorphogenesis.These proteins can associate with CULLIN4 to form independent CRL4-based E3 ubiquitin ligases that mediate the degradation of several photomorphogenic transcription factors,including ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(HY5),thereby controlling multiple gene-regulatory networks.Despite extensive biochemical and genetic analyses of their multi-subunit complexes,the functional links between DET1 and COP1 have long remained elusive.Here,we report that DET1 associates with COP1 in vivo,enhances COP1-HY5 interaction,and promotes COP1 destabilization in a process that dampens HY5 protein abundance.By regulating its accumulation,DET1 avoids HY5 association with hundreds of second-site genomic loci,which are also frequently targeted by the skotomorphogenic transcription factor PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTOR 3.Accordingly,ectopic HY5 chromatin enrichment favors local gene repression and can trigger fusca-like phenotypes.This study therefore shows that DET1-mediated regulation of COP1 stability tunes down the HY5 cistrome,avoiding hyper-photomorphogenic responses that might compromise plant viability. | Esther Canibano Clara Bourbousse Marta Garcia-Leon Borja Garnelo Gomez Lea Wolff Camila Garcia-Baudino Rosa Lozano-Duran Fredy Barneche Vicente Rubio Sandra Fonseca | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021，14，6： | 2 |

| 8 | Mitigation of EDFA transient effects in variable duty cycle pulsed signals显示文摘We report the transient effects in Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) systems for pulsed signals with different duty-cycles. The work includes the analysis using three different duty-cycles, 10%, 20% and 50%. A curve fitting technique is also proposed to predict the transients of any lesser duty-cycled pulse, once the transients of a larger duty-cycled pulse is known. Mathematical evaluation confirms the double exponential shape of transient distorted signal. Further, EDFA transient effect is experimentally verified on a Wavelength Division Multiplexed (WDM) link by multiplexing high and low bitrate modulated optical signals.
