| 1 | Contribution of the IL-17/IL-23 axis to the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBDs) are chronic disorders of modern society, requiring management strategies aimed at prolonging an active life and establishing the exact etiology and pathogenesis.These idiopathic diseases have environmental, genetic,immunologic, inflammatory, and oxidative stress components. On the one hand, recent advances have shown that abnormal immune reactions against the microorganisms of the intestinal flora are responsible for the inflammation in genetically susceptible individuals. On the other hand, in addition to T helper cell-type(Th) 1 and Th2 immune responses,other subsets of T cells, namely regulatory T cells and Th17 maintained by IL-23 are likely to develop IBD. IL-23 acts on innate immune system members and also facilitates the expansion and maintenance of Th17 cells. The IL-17/IL-23 axis is relevant in IBD pathogenesis both in human and experimental studies. Novel biomarkers of IBD could be calprotectin,microRNAs, and serum proinflammatory cytokines.An efficient strategy for IBD therapy is represented by the combination of IL-17 A and IL-17 F in acute IL-17 A knockout TNBS-induced colitis, and also definite decrease of the inflammatory process in IL-17 F knockout, DSS-induced colitis have been observed.Studying the correlation between innate and adaptive immune systems, we hope to obtain a focused reviewin order to facilitate future approaches aimed at elucidating the immunological mechanisms that control gut inflammation. | Cristina-Sorina Cǎanǎ Ioana Berindan Neagoe Vasile Cozma Cristian Magdas Flaviu Tǎbǎan Dan Lucian Dumitrasu | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015，21，19： | 37 |
| 2 | Model Identification of a Micro Air Vehicle显示文摘This paper is focused on the model identification of a Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) in straight steady flight condition. The identification is based on input-output data collected from flight tests using both frequency and time domain techniques. The vehicle is an in-house 40 cm wingspan airplane. Because of the complex coupled, multivariable and nonlinear dynamics of the aircraft, linear SISO structures for both the lateral and longitudinal models around a reference state were derived. | 7 | Clinical characteristics and outcomes in carbohydrate antigen 19-9 negative pancreatic cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is a leading cause of death from cancer worldwide.Tumor markers like carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA 19-9)have been proven valuable as a diagnostic tool and a predictor for tumor staging and response to therapy.AIM To delineate the phenotype of normal CA 19-9 PDAC according to clinical features,disease staging and prognosis as compared with high CA 19-9 PDAC cases.METHODS We performed a retrospective single-center analysis of all PDAC cases admitted in our Gastroenterology department over a period of 30 mo that were diagnosed by endoscopic ultrasound-guided tissue acquisition.Patients were divided into two groups according to CA 19-9 levels over a threshold of 37 U/mL.We performed a comparison between the two groups with regard to demographic and clinical data,biomarkers,tumor staging and 6-mo survival.RESULTS Altogether 111 patients were recruited with 29 having documented normal CA 19-9(<37 U/mL).In the CA 19-9 negative group of patients,20.68%had elevated levels of both CEA and CA 125,13.79%for CA 125 only whilst 17.24%for CEA only.The two groups had similar demographic characteristics.Abdominal pain was more frequently reported in positive vs negative CA 19-9 PDAC cases(76.83%vs 55.17%),while smoking was slightly more prevalent in the latter group(28.04%vs 31.03%).Tumors over 2 cm were more frequently seen in the positive CA 19-9 group,reflecting a higher proportion of locally advanced and metastatic neoplasia(87.7%vs 79.3%).Sixmonth survival was higher for the negative CA 19-9 group(58.62%vs 47.56%).CONCLUSION Elevated CA 19-9 at diagnosis seems to be associated with a more pronounced symptomatology,high tumor burden and poor prognosis compared to negative CA 19-9 PDAC cases.CEA and CA 125 can be adjunctive useful markers for PDAC,especially in CA 19-9 negative cases. | Daniel Vasile Balaban Flavius Stefan Marin George Manucu Andreea Zoican Marina Ciochina Victor Mina Cristina Patoni Catalina Vladut Sandica Bucurica Raluca Simona Costache Florentina Ionita-Radu Mariana Jinga | 2022 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2022，13，7： | 1 |
