1Adsorption of chloroacetanilide herbicides on soil and its components III. Influence of clay acidity, humic acid coating and herbicide structure on acetanilide herbicide adsorption on homoionic clays显示文摘Adsorption of chloroacetanilide herbicides on homoionic montmorillonite, soil humic acid, and their mixtures was studied by coupling batch equilibration and FT IR analysis. Adsorption isotherms of acetochlor, alachlor, metolachlor and propachlor on Ca 2+ \|, Mg 2+ \|, Al 3+ \| and Fe 3+ \| saturated clays were well described by the Freundlich equation. Regardless of the type of exchange cations, K f decreased in the order of metolachlor > acetolachlor > alachlor > propachlor on the same clay. FT IR spectra showed that the carbonyl group of the herbicide molecule was involved in binding, probably via H bond with water molecules in the clay interlayer. The type and position of substitutions around the carbonyl group may have affected the electronegativity of oxygen, thus influencing the relative adsorption of these herbicides. 7Analytic Mechanism for the Cumulative Effect of Wind Power Fluctuations from Single Wind Farm to Wind Farm Cluster显示文摘The use of wind power is rapidly growing worldwide as a means of reducing carbon emissions for the energy sector.China has the world’s largest wind power installation and multiple large-scale wind farm clusters,each comprising dozens of wind farms.For the planning and operation of the power system,it is important to understand the power fluctuation characteristics of wind farm clusters.Several studies demonstrate that the relative power fluctuation of a wind farm cluster is less than that of a single wind farm.Is this decreasing trend a random occurrence or does it have a regular pattern?This scientific question is addressed by investigating the mechanism of the cumulative effect of a wind farm cluster.In this study,a cumulative model is proposed by examining the spatiotemporal relationships of wind power variations and wind farm dispersion.Structural gain function and critical cumulative frequency are defined as the foundations to analytically describing the cumulative effect.By investigating the cumulative effect mechanism,the relationship between power fluctuation and spatiotemporal parameters of the wind farm cluster are revealed.The power fluctuation of a cluster can be predicted using the cumulative model even before it is completely built.The mechanism of the cumulative effect is validated on the basis of the data of two actual wind farm clusters.Gang Mu Fangze Wu Xiaoping Zhang Ziheng Fu Bai Xiao 2022CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,5:1

16Lung-Targeted Transgene Expression of Nanocomplexed Ad5 Enhances Immune Response in the Presence of Preexisting Immunity显示文摘Recombinant adenovirus serotype 5(Ad5)vector has been widely applied in vaccine development targeting infectious diseases,such as Ebola virus disease and coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,the high prevalence of preexisting anti-vector immunity compromises the immunogenicity of Ad5-based vaccines.Thus,there is a substantial unmet need to minimize preexisting immunity while improving the insert-induced immunity of Ad5 vectors.Herein,we address this need by utilizing biocompatible nanoparticles to modulate Ad5–host interactions.We show that positively charged human serum albumin nanoparticles((+)HSAnp),which are capable of forming a complex with Ad5,significantly increase the transgene expression of Ad5 in both coxsackievirus–adenovirus receptor-positive and-negative cells.Furthermore,in charge-and dose-dependent manners,Ad5/(+)HSAnp complexes achieve robust(up to227-fold higher)and long-term(up to 60 days)transgene expression in the lungs of mice following intranasal instillation.Importantly,in the presence of preexisting anti-Ad5 immunity,complexed Ad5-based Ebola and COVID-19 vaccines significantly enhance antigen-specific humoral response and mucosal immunity.These findings suggest that viral aggregation and charge modification could be leveraged to engineer enhanced viral vectors for vaccines and gene therapies.Yilong Yang Shipo Wu Yudong Wang Fangze Shao Peng Lv Ruihua Li Xiaofan Zhao Jun Zhang Xiaopeng Zhang Jianmin Li Lihua Hou Junjie Xu Wei Chen 2023Engineering2023,,8:0
17Graphene-aluminum nitride NEMS resonant infrared detector显示文摘The use of micro-/nanoelectromechanical resonators for the room temperature detection of electromagnetic radiation at infrared frequencies has recently been investigated,showing thermal detection capabilities that could potentially outperform conventional microbolometers.The scaling of the device thickness in the nanometer range and the achievement of high infrared absorption in such a subwavelength thickness,without sacrificing the electromechanical performance,are the two key challenges for the implementation of fast,high-resolution micro-/nanoelectromechanical resonant infrared detectors.In this paper,we show that by using a virtually massless,high-electrical-conductivity,and transparent graphene electrode,floating at the van der Waals separation of a few angstroms from a piezoelectric aluminum nitride nanoplate,it is possible to implement ultrathin(460 nm)piezoelectric nanomechanical resonant structures with improved electromechanical performance(450% improved frequency×quality factor)and infrared detection capabilities(4100×improved infrared absorptance)compared with metal-electrode counterparts,despite their reduced volumes.The intrinsic infrared absorption capabilities of a submicron thin graphene–aluminum nitride plate backed with a metal electrode are investigated for the first time and exploited for the first experimental demonstration of a piezoelectric nanoelectromechanical resonant thermal detector with enhanced infrared absorptance in a reduced volume.Moreover,the combination of electromagnetic and piezoelectric resonances provided by the same graphene–aluminum nitride-metal stack allows the proposed device to selectively detect short-wavelength infrared radiation(by tailoring the thickness of aluminum nitride)with unprecedented electromechanical performance and thermal capabilities.These attributes potentially lead to the development of uncooled infrared detectors suitable for the implementation of high performance,miniaturized and power-efficient multispectral infrared imaging systems.Zhenyun Qian Yu Hui Fangze Liu Sungho Kang Swastik Kar Matteo Rinaldi 2016Microsystems & Nanoengineering2016,2,1:0
18Doping strategy on improving the overall cathodic performance of double perovskite LnBaCo_(2)O_(5+σ)(Ln=Pr,Gd)as potential SOFC cathode materials显示文摘A series of single-phase double perovskite Pr1-xGdxBaCo_(2)-yFeyO_(5+σ)(x=0,0.5 and 1,0≤y≤1)materials were engineered through A/B site co-doping strategy to improve the mechanical,electrical and electrochemical properties as potential cathode materials for the application of intermediate solid oxide fuel cells(IT-SOFCs).The corresponding thermochemical stability,thermal expansion behavior,electrical conductivity and cathodic polarization resistance of the materials were systematically investigated.It was found that the A-site dual lanthanide doped Pr_(0.5)Gd_(0.5)BaCo_(2)O_(5+σ)(PGBCO)exhibits improved electrical conductivity,reduced thermal expansion,and comparatively low electrochemical polarization resistance versus single lanthanide double perovskite,PrBaCo_(2)O_(5+σ)(PBCO)and GdBaCo_(2)O_(5+σ)(GBCO)materials.Further investigation on the effect of B-site Fe-doping on Pr_(0.5)Gd_(0.5)BaCo_(2)-yFeyO_(5)+σ(PGBCF-y,0≤y≤1)reveals that all the PGBCF-y compositions exhibit excellent chemical stability with Gd-doped ceria(GDC)at operating temperatures not higher than 1100℃.Besides,doping of Fe in B-site can effectively reduce the thermal expansion coefficients(TECs)of the Pr_(0.5)Gd_(0.5)BaCo_(2)O_(5)+σceramics at 30e1000℃.And the electrochemical impedance spectra(EIS)results show that the PGBCF-y|GDC|PGBCF-y symmetric cells have acceptable low area specific polarization resistances.Further examination of the cathodic polarization and characteristic capacitance from the AC impedance spectra by employing the relaxation time distribution(DRT)method demonstrated that charge transfer is the dominating subprocess for the oxygen transport through the materials.Fangze Chen Dacheng Zhou Xueqing Xiong Juntao Pan Donglin Cai Ze Wei Xiyong Chen Yihui Liu Nengneng Luo Jialin Yan Toyohisa Fujita 2023Journal of Materiomics2023,9,5:0
19Desertification in the Mu Us Sandy Land in China:Response to climate change and human activity from 2000 to 2020显示文摘China is a country largely affected by desertification.The main purpose of this article is to analyze interannual and seasonal changes in fractional vegetation cover(FVC)in the Mu Us Sandy Land(MUSL).It uses fused remote sensing data to quantitatively analyze the response of FVC to climate change and human activities.The results showed that desertification in the MUSL had improved over the past 20 years.Grade V desertification decreased from more than 60%in 2000 to about 15%in 2020.In some years,degradation appeared to be affected by climate factors and human activity,especially in the northwestern portion of the study area.The FVC in summer was slightly higher than that in autumn and far higher than recorded in spring and winter.Spatially,the northwestern and central parts of the study area were unstable,with high coefficients of variation.FVC gradually increased from northwest to southeast,and areas with the fastest increase in FVC were concentrated along the eastern and southern edges of the study area.The correlations between FVC and precipitation and dryness were slightly pos-itive,but the correlation between FVC and temperature showed regional differences.The increase of population density is not a key factor limiting the growth of vegetation;the policy of“grazing prohibition,grazing rest,and rotational grazing”has allowed the restoration of vegetation;and afforestation is an effective way to promote the increase in FVC.Xin Wang Jinling Song Zhiqiang Xiao Jing Wang Fangze Hu 2022Geography and Sustainability2022,3,2:0
20Ultrathin PtRu Nanowires as Efficient and Stable Electrocatalyst for Liquid Fuel Oxidation Reactions显示文摘Direct liquid fuel cells(DLFCs)are promising clean energy conversion devices for their high energy density,low environmental pollution,and convenient transportation and storage.However,the commercialization of DLFCs is still limited by the lack of highly active and stable catalysts for the anodic oxidation of liquid fuels.Herein,a new class of ultrathin PtRu nanowires(NWs)with a diameter of 1.1nm was synthesized via a colloidal chemistry strategy.The as-made ultrathin PtRu NWs can not only expose large active sites but also enhance the kinetics of methanol oxidation reaction,which was confirmed by the in situ Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy.Consequently,ultrathin PtRu NWs exhibit greatly boosted activity and stability for methanol and ethanol oxidation reactions in an alkaline medium.Kun Yin Yuguang Chao Lingyou Zeng Menggang Li Fangze Liu Shaojun Guo Hongbo Li 2022Energy Material Advances2022,,1:0
