| 1 | A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR RESERVOIR SEDIMENTATION AND FLUVIAL PROCESSES显示文摘This paper consists of two parts: mechanism of non-equilibrium transport of non-uniform sediment and its application in the mathematical model. Based on a statistic approach of sediment transport proposed by the authors, a 1 - D equation of non-e- quilibrium transport for various size group of sediment particles is developed. Then equations to predict change of sediment concentration and the corresponding changes in size distribution of suspended load and bed material are also derived. The conception that changes in size distribution are interrelated to sediment-carrying capacity is expounded. These results reveal the essence of sediment transport of non-uniform sediment particles. In the second part a mathematical model incorporating the mentioned equations to compute deposition and scouring in reservoirs as well as the fluvial processes of river channels has been developed. | 2 | RILL EROSION PROCESS ON STEEP SLOPE LAND OF THE LOESS PLATEAU显示文摘Rill erosion processes and principle of preventing rill erosion of different applied measures are studied by rainfall simulation and field investigation. Research results show that rill erosion processes can be schematically divided into five stages, that is, concentrated flow forming process; little waterfalls in the concentrated flow forming Process; little waterfalls developing into rill head cut process; rill head cuts developing to form discontinuous rill process and discontinuous rills connecting to form continuous rill process. Rill head cuts backward erosion, rill wall collapsing and runoff washing rill bed are the main patterns of rill development. | 7 | Structural optimization of deflector within air-water direct contact tank based on uniform design显示文摘An appropriate microenvironment for preserving cultural relics is essential,and the air-water direct contact tech-nology is utilized to create the microenvironment recently.The influence of a deflector in a tank was numerically investigated based on uniform design method to improve the heat and mass transfer and pressure drop perfor-mance of the air-water direct tank.In this study,a simplified CFD-based model was established and validated between airstream and water surface within the tank,to analyze the heat and mass transfer and pressure drop processes.Meanwhile,regression models of the heat transfers rate,mass transfer rate and pressure drop were developed by uniform design method based on three parameters:installation position,tilt angle,and height of the deflector,in order to analyze the influences of these three parameters on the heat and mass transfer and pressure drop of the tank.Finally,all three optimal structural parameters of the deflector were obtained based on the proposed comprehensive evaluation index using a genetic algorithm.The results showed that the model established for air-water direct contact adopted well to predict the heat and mass transfer and pressure drop per-formance between airstream and still water surface.Furthermore,the results found that the flow field inside the water tank was affected by the deflector’s structure,which affected the heat and mass transfer performance.The simulation results suggested that the deflector’s optimal structural parameters are 8 mm of installation position,88°of tilt angle and 19 mm of height,respectively,within a given extent in this study. | Ning Wang Meng Yu Writing-review&editing Xuejun Zhang Yang Zhao | 2022 | Energy and Built Environment2022，3，2： | 2 |
