| 1 | Relative efficacy of some prokinetic drugs in morphine-induced gastrointestinal transit delay in mice显示文摘AIM: To study the relative efficacy of cisapride,metoclopramide, domperidone, erythromycin and mosapride on gastric emptying (GE) and small intestinal transit (SIT)in morphine treated mice.METHODS: Phenol red marker meal was employed to estimate GE and SIT in Swiss albino mice of either sex. The groups included were control, morphine 1 mg/kg (s.c. 15min before test meal) alone or with (45 min before test meal p.o.) cisapride 10 mg/kg, metoclopramide 20 mg/kg,domperidone 20 mg/kg, erythromycin 6 mg/kg and mosapride 20 mg/kg.RESULTS: Cisapride, metoclopramide and mosapride were effective in enhancing gastric emptying significantly (P<0.001)whereas other prokinetic agents failed to do so in normal mice. Metoclopramide completely reversed morphine induced delay in gastric emptying followed by mosapride.Metoclopramide alone was effective when given to normal mice in increasing the SIT. Cisapride, though it did not show any significant effect on SIT in normal mice, was able to reverse morphine induced delay in SIT significantly (P<0.001)followed by metoclopramide and mosapride.CONCLUSION: Metoclopramide and cisapride are most effective in reversing morphine-induced delay in gastric emptying and small intestinal transit in mice respectively. | AD Suchitra SA Dkhar DG Shewade CH Shashindran | 2003 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2003，9，4： | 3 |

| 17 | Effects of environmental factors and host characteristics on diversity and distribution of wood-rotting fungi of Mount Puliebadze,Nagaland显示文摘The study on the effects of environmental factors and host characteristics on diversity and distribution of wood-rotting fungi Mount Puliebadze,Nagaland was carried out for a period of two successive years(January 2015 to December 2016).A total of 46 wood-rotting fungi belonging to 16 families were identified.The occurrence of wood-rotting fungi demonstrated a decreasing trend with increase in elevations and correlation between the two variables showed a strong negative correlation with Pearson’s correlation coefficient(r)value of-0.993.The zone with lowest elevation(zone 1)comprised maximum number of species(25 species)whereas the zone with highest elevation(zone 4)comprised minimum number of species(05 species).Highest species similarity percentage(25.9%)was observed between zone 2 and 3.One way ANOVA showed significant variations between the occurrence of wood-rotting fungi with different seasons,light intensity,type of substrata and decay stage of wood.Shannon’s diversity index(H’)of zone 1 was highest(H’=3.073)and that of zone 4 was lowest(H’=1.242). | Chuzho K Dkhar MS | 2018 | Studies in Fungi2018，3，1： | 0 |

| 20 | Anesthesia protocol for ear surgery in Wistar rats(animal research)显示文摘Objective:To formulate an anesthesia protocol for safe and satisfactory anesthesia for ear surgery in rats.Methods:The rats were anesthetized with xylazine(10 mg/kg body weight)and keta-mine at doses of 80,50,40,and 30 mg/kg body weight or with isoflurane anesthesia(2%-3.5%in 100%oxygen;maintenance dose 1.5%-3.5%).The anesthesia induction,surgery,and recovery time were recorded.Results:In total,17 rats were induced by varying doses of ketamine-xylazine and 28 rats with isoflurane.Mean induction time with ketamine-xylazine was 6±2.9 min compared with 3.8±1.1 min with isoflurane.Mean recovery time with ketamine-xylazine was 142.6±49.3 min compared with 4.1±1.2 min with isoflurane.A mortal-ity of 4 animals after developing dyspnea was recorded with ketamine-xylazine.Conclusion:Isoflurane anesthesia offers appropriate induction and recovery times and low mortality rates for the surgeries performed.Isoflurane anesthesia offers reli-able results for ear surgery in rats.However,more equipment and technical skills are needed. | Abhijeet Bhatia Pranjal Pratim Saikia Barilin Dkhar Haphidasara Pyngrope | 2022 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022，5，2： | 0 |
