1Anisotropic coding metamaterials and their powerful manipulation of differently polarized terahertz waves显示文摘Metamaterials based on effective media can be used to produce a number of unusual physical properties(for example,negative refraction and invisibility cloaking)because they can be tailored with effective medium parameters that do not occur in nature.Recently,the use of coding metamaterials has been suggested for the control of electromagnetic waves through the design of coding sequences using digital elements‘0’and‘1,'which possess opposite phase responses.Here we propose the concept of an anisotropic coding metamaterial in which the coding behaviors in different directions are dependent on the polarization status of the electromagnetic waves.We experimentally demonstrate an ultrathin and flexible polarization-controlled anisotropic coding metasurface that functions in the terahertz regime using specially designed coding elements.By encoding the elements with elaborately designed coding sequences(both 1-bit and 2-bit sequences),the x-and y-polarized waves can be anomalously reflected or independently diffused in three dimensions.The simulated far-field scattering patterns and near-field distributions are presented to illustrate the dual-functional performance of the encoded metasurface,and the results are consistent with the measured results.We further demonstrate the ability of the anisotropic coding metasurfaces to generate a beam splitter and realize simultaneous anomalous reflections and polarization conversions,thus providing powerful control of differently polarized electromagnetic waves.The proposed method enables versatile beam behaviors under orthogonal polarizations using a single metasurface and has the potential for use in the development of interesting terahertz devices.Shuo Liu Tie Jun Cui Quan Xu Di Bao Liangliang Du Xiang Wan Wen Xuan Tang Chunmei Ouyang Xiao Yang Zhou Hao Yuan Hui Feng Ma Wei Xiang Jiang Jiaguang Han Weili Zhang Qiang Cheng 2016Light(Science & Applications)2016,5,1:36
2High precision landing site mapping and rover localization for Chang'e-3 mission显示文摘This paper presents the comprehensive results of landing site topographic mapping and rover localization in Chang’e-3 mission.High-precision topographic products of the landing site with extremely high resolutions(up to 0.05 m)were generated from descent images and registered to CE-2 DOM.Local DEM and DOM with 0.02 m resolution were produced routinely at each waypoint along the rover traverse.The lander location was determined to be(19.51256°W,44.11884°N,-2615.451 m)using a method of DOM matching.In order to reduce error accumulation caused by wheel slippage and IMU drift in dead reckoning,cross-site visual localization and DOM matching localization methods were developed to localize the rover at waypoints;the overall traveled distance from the lander is 114.8 m from cross-site visual localization and 111.2 m from DOM matching localization.The latter is of highest accuracy and has been verified using a LRO NAC image where the rover trajeactory is directly identifiable.During CE-3 mission operations,landing site mapping and rover localization products including DEMs and DOMs,traverse maps,vertical traverse profiles were generated timely to support teleoperation tasks such as obstacle avoidance and rover path planning.LIU ZhaoQin DI KaiChang PENG Man WAN WenHui LIU Bin LI LiChun YU TianYi WANG BaoFeng ZHOU JianLiang CHEN HongMin 2015Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2015,58,1:15
3Biofunctional magnesium coated Ti6Al4V scaffold enhances osteogenesis and angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo for orthopedic application显示文摘The insufficient osteogenesis and osseointegration of porous titanium based scaffold limit its further application.Early angiogenesis is important for scaffold survival.It is necessary to develop a multifunctional surface on titanium scaffold with both osteogenic and angiogenic properties.In this study,a biofunctional magnesium coating is deposited on porous Ti6Al4V scaffold.For osseointegration and osteogenesis analysis,in vitro studies reveal that magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V co-culture with MC3T3-E1 cells can improve cell proliferation,adhesion,extracellular matrix(ECM)mineralization and ALP activity compared with bare Ti6Al4V cocultivation.Additionally,MC3T3-E1 cells cultured with magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V show significantly higher osteogenesisrelated genes expression.In vivo studies including fluorochrome labeling,micro-computerized tomography and histological examination of magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V scaffold reveal that new bone regeneration is significantly increased in rabbits after implantation.For angiogenesis studies,magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V improve HUVECs proliferation,adhesion,tube formation,wound-healing and Transwell abilities.HUVECs cultured with magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V display significantly higher angiogenesis-related genes(HIF-1αand VEGF)expression.Microangiography analysis reveal that magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V scaffold can significantly enhance the blood vessel formation.This study enlarges the application scope of magnesium and provides an optional choice to the conventional porous Ti6Al4V scaffold with enhanced osteogenesis and angiogenesis for further orthopedic applications.Peng Gao Bo Fan Xiaoming Yu Wenwen Liu Jie Wu Lei Shi Di Yang Lili Tan Peng Wan Yulin Hao Shujun Li Wentao Hou Ke Yang Xiaokang Li Zheng Guo 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,3:15
4Progress and Applications of Visual SLAM显示文摘Visual simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) provides mapping and self-localization results for a robot in an unknown environment based on visual sensors, that have the advantages of small volume, low power consumption, and richness of information acquisition. Visual SLAM is essential and plays a significant role in supporting automated and intelligent applications of robots. This paper presents the key techniques of visual SLAM, summarizes the current research status, and analyses the new trends of visual SLAM research and development. 5HER2-Specific T Lymphocytes Kill both Trastuzumab-Resistant and Trastuzumab-Sensitive Breast Cell Lines In Vitro显示文摘Objective: Although the development of trastuzumab has improved the outlook for women with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer, the resistance to anti-HER2 therapy is a growing clinical dilemma. We aim to determine whether HER2-specific T cells generated from dendritic cells (DCs) modified with HER2 gene could effectively kill the HER2-positive breast cancer cells, especially the trastuzumab-resistant cells. Methods: The peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from healthy donors, whose HLA haplotypes were compatible with the tumor cell lines, were transfected with reconstructive human adeno-association virus (rhAAV/HER2) to obtain the specific killing activities of T cells, and were evaluated by lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) releasing assay. Results: Trastuzumab produced a significant inhibiting effect on SK-BR-3, the IC50 was 100ng /ml. MDA-MB-453 was resistant to trastuzumab even at a concentration of 10,000 ng/ml in vitro. HER2-specific T lymphocytes killed effectively SK-BR-3 [(69.86±13.41)%] and MDA-MB-453 [(78.36±10.68)%] at 40:1 (effector:target ratio, E:T), but had no significant cytotoxicity against HER2-negative breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-231 or MCF-7 (less than 10%). Conclusion: The study showed that HER2-specific T lymphocytes generated from DCs modified by rhAAV/HER2 could kill HER2-positive breast cancer cell lines in a HER2-dependent manner, and result in significantly high inhibition rates on the intrinsic trastuzumab-resistant cell line MDA-MB-453 and the tastuzumab-sensitive cell line SK-BR-3. 6Eocene Basins on the SE Tibetan Plateau: Markers of Minor Offset along the Xuelongshan–Diancangshan–Ailaoshan Structural System显示文摘The offset of geological bodies provides robust evidence of displacement along a fault or ductile shear zone. The amount of displacement along the Xuelongshan–Diancangshan–Ailaoshan structural system, southeastern Tibetan Plateau, is uncertain because of the lack of offset geological markers. This NNW–SSE-trending system is developed in three isolated metamorphic complexes and interjacent nonmetamorphosed rocks. They are expected to record similar post-Eocene strain, although their structural patterns should be distinct. Geological mapping in the area between the Xuelongshan and Diancangshan metamorphic complexes has revealed a small Eocene basin, the Madeng Basin, located to the west of the structural system. The sedimentary and volcanic successions of the Madeng Basin are comparable to those of the Jianchuan Basin, which is located to the east of the structural system. Zircon U–Pb geochronological and bulk geochemical data demonstrate that the volcanic rocks of both basins formed during 37–34 Ma and share the same geochemical features. These data suggest that the Madeng and Jianchuan basins previously constituted a single basin, with the distribution of high-K volcanic rocks in the basins defining an ENE–WSW-trending volcanic belt that shows a limited dextral offset of ≤20 km across the Xuelongshan–Diancangshan–Ailaoshan structural system. Therefore, the northern segment of the structural system records no evidence of large-scale lateral movement/displacement. 7Mobility control of unmanned aerial vehicle as communication relay in airborne multi-user systems显示文摘In this paper, a model-based adaptive mobility control method for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) acting as a communication relay is presented, which is intended to improve the network performance in airborne multi-user systems. The mobility control problem is addressed by jointly considering unknown Radio Frequency(RF) channel parameters, unknown multi-user mobility, and non-available Angle of Arrival(AoA) information of the received signal. A Kalman filter and a least-square-based estimation algorithm are used to predict the future user positions and estimate the RF channel parameters between the users and the UAV, respectively. Two different relay application cases are considered: end-to-end and multi-user communications. A line search algorithm is proposed for the former, with its stability given and proven, whereas a simplified gradient-based algorithm is proposed for the latter to provide a target relay position at each decision time step, decreasing the two-dimensional search to a one-dimensional search. Simulation results show that the proposed mobility control algorithms can drive the UAV to reach or track the optimal relay position movement, as well as improving network performance. 8A four-component combination derived from Huang-Qin Decoction significantly enhances anticancer activity of irinotecan显示文摘Huang-Qin Decoction(HQD)is a classic prescription for diarrhea in Chinese medicine treatment.Recent studies have demonstrated that HQD and its modified formulation PHY906 could ameliorate irinotecan(CPT-11)induced gastrointestinal(GI)toxicity and enhance its anticancer therapeutic efficacy.Nevertheless,which constituents in HQD are effective is still unclear so far.The study aims to screen out the key bioactive components combination from HQD that could enhance the anticancer effect of CPT-11.First,the potential bioactive constituents were obtained through system pharmacology strategy.Then the bioactivity of each constituent was investigated synthetically from the aspects of NCM460 cell migration,TNF-αrelease of THP-1-derived macrophage and MTT assay in HCT116 cell.The contribution of each constituent in HQD was evaluated using the bioactive index Ei,which taken the content and bioactivity into comprehensive consideration.And then,the most contributing constituents were selected out to form a keycomponent combination.At last,the bioefficacy of the key-component combination was validated in vitro and in vivo.As a result,a key-component combination(HB4)consisting of four compounds baicalin,baicalein,glycyrrhizic acid and wogonin was screened out.In vitro assessment indicated that HB4 could enhance the effect of CPT-11 on inhibiting cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis in HCT116.Furthermore,the in vivo study confirmed that HB4 and HQD have similar pharmacological activity and could both enhance the antitumor effect of CPT-11 in HCT116 xenograft model.Meanwhile,HB4 could also reduce the CPT-11 induced GI toxicity.XU Dou-Dou HOU Xiao-Ying WANG Ou WANG Di LI Dan-Ting QIN Si-Yuan LV Bo DAI Xiao-Min ZHANG Zun-Jian WAN Jian-Bo XU Feng-Guo 2021Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2021,19,5:3
9Key Technology of Embedded System Implementation for Software-based CNC System显示文摘The software-based computer numerical control(CNC) system includes three types of tasks:periodic real-time tasks,aperiodic real-time tasks,and non-real-time tasks.The tasks are characterized by concurrency,hybridization,and correlation,which make system implementation difficult.The conventional scheduling algorithm can not meet the demands of system implementation in the software-based CNC system completely.The uncertainty factors when running real-time tasks affect control performance by degrading manufacturing accuracy as a result of system resource and processor use restrictions.To address the technical difficulty of embedded system implementation,a novel fuzzy feedback scheduling algorithm based on output jitter of key real-time tasks for a software-based CNC system is proposed.Time characteristics,such as sampling jitter,input-output jitter,and non-schedulability are discussed,followed by quantification through simulations of the impact of time characteristics on manufacturing accuracy.On the basis of this research,the scheduler architecture is designed,and then the algorithm table is calculated.When the system resource changes,the key periodic real-time tasks meet their deadlines by means of dynamically adjusting the task period.The simulated results show that the machining precision rises by an order of magnitude for the proposed scheduler in resource-constrained software-based CNC systems.Moreover,unlike conventional feedback scheduling methods,the algorithm in this paper does not rely on the availability of task execution times and is easy to implement while incurring only a small overhead.WAN Jiafu LI Di ZHANG Ping 2010Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,2:3

12Surgical treatment for recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma:Current status and challenges显示文摘Primary liver cancer is the sixth most commonly diagnosed cancer and was the third leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide in 2020.It includes hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)(representing 75%-85%of cases),intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(representing 10%-15%of cases),and other rare types.The survival rate of patients with HCC has risen with improved surgical technology and perioperative management in recent years;however,high tumor recurrence rates continue to limit long-term survival,even after radical surgical resection(exceeding 50%recurrence).For resectable recurrent liver cancer,surgical removal[either salvage liver transplantation(SLT)or repeat hepatic resection]remains the most effective therapy that is potentially curative for recurrent HCC.Thus,here,we introduce surgical treatment for recurrent HCC.Areas Covered:A literature search was performed for recurrent HCC using Medline and PubMed up to August 2022.Expert commentary:In general,long-term survival after the reresection of recurrent liver cancer is usually beneficial.SLT has equivalent outcomes to primary liver transplantation for unresectable recurrent illness in a selected group of patients;however,SLT is constrained by the supply of liver grafts.SLT seems to be inferior to repeat liver resection when considering operative and postoperative results but has the major advantage of disease-free survival.When considering the similar overall survival rate and the current situation of donor shortages,repeat liver resection remains an important option for recurrent HCC.Di Wang Min Xiao Zhen-Miao Wan Xin Lin Qi-Yong Li Shu-Sen Zheng 2023World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2023,15,4:2
13Treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer with driver mutations: current applications and future directions显示文摘With the improved understanding of driver mutations in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), expanding the targeted therapeutic options improved the survival and safety. However, responses to these agents are commonly temporary and incomplete. Moreover, even patients with the same oncogenic driver gene can respond diversely to the same agent. Furthermore, the therapeutic role of immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in oncogene-driven NSCLC remains unclear. Therefore, this review aimed to classify the management of NSCLC with driver mutations based on the gene subtype, concomitant mutation, and dynamic alternation. Then, we provide an overview of the resistant mechanism of target therapy occurring in targeted alternations (“target-dependent resistance”) and in the parallel and downstream pathways (“target-independent resistance”). Thirdly, we discuss the effectiveness of ICIs for NSCLC with driver mutations and the combined therapeutic approaches that might reverse the immunosuppressive tumor immune microenvironment. Finally, we listed the emerging treatment strategies for the new oncogenic alternations, and proposed the perspective of NSCLC with driver mutations. 15The enzyme-amplified amperometric DNA sensor using an electrodeposited polymer redox mediator显示文摘A highly sensitive method for the detection of a breast cancer-associated BRCA-1 gene is reported. The detection is based on a classical sandwich-type assay using horseradish peroxidase (HRP) as a catalytic label and electrodeposited Os2+/3+ conducting polymer (PAA-PVI-Os) as a redox mediator.
