| 10 | Mapping species assemblages of tropical forests at different hierarchical levels based on multivariate regression trees显示文摘Background: Vegetation distribution maps are of great significance for nature protection and management. In diverse tropical forests, accurate spatial mapping of vegetation types is challenging;the high species diversity and abundance of rare species challenge classification concepts, while remote sensing signals may not vary systematically with species composition, complicating the technical capability for delineating vegetation types in the landscape.Methods: We used a combination of field-based compositional data and their relations to environmental variables to predict the distribution of forest types in the Wuzhishan National Natural Reserve(WNNR), Hainan Island,China, using multivariate regression trees(MRT). The MRT was based on arboreal vegetation composition in 132plots of 20 m×20 m with a regular spacing of 1 km. Apart from the MRT, non-metric multidimensional scaling(NMDS) was used to evaluate vegetation-environment relationships.Results: The MRT model worked best when using 14 key environmental variables including topography, climate,latitude and soil, although the difference with the simpler model including only topographical variables was small. The full model classified the 132 plots into 3 vegetation types, 6 formation groups, 20 formations and 65associations at different hierarchical syntaxonomic levels. This model was the basis for forest vegetation maps for the WNNR. MRT and NMDS showed that elevation was the main driving force for the distribution of vegetation types and formation groups. Climate, latitude, and soil(especially available P), together with topographic variables, all influenced the distribution of formations and associations.Conclusions: While elevation determines forest-type distributions, lower-level syntaxonomic forest classes respond to the topographic diversity typical for mountains. | 11 | Complete Freund’s adjuvant-induced decrement of pruriceptor-mediated suppression of itch显示文摘Peripheral inflammation is always accompanied by a noxious sensation,either pain or itch,providing a protective warning for the occurrence of pathological changes;however,the mechanisms determining whether pain,itch,or both will be elicited under certain inflammatory statuses are still far from clear.Complete Freund’s adjuvant(CFA)contains heat killed and dried Mycobacterium tuberculosis widely used to induce inflammatory pain models,but how CFA treatment affects itch sensation and the possible mechanisms are still unclear.In this study,using itch behavior testing and calcium imaging,we showed that both the behaviors and calcium responses associated with Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1(TRPV1)-mediated histamine-dependent itch and Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1(TRPA1)-mediated histamine-independent itch were significantly suppressed by CFA treatment.Furthermore,to explore the possible cellular mechanisms,high-throughput single-cell RNA sequencing and real-time PCR were used to detect CFA-induced changes of itch-related genes in dorsal root ganglion(DRG)neurons.Our results revealed that although both nociceptive Trpv1^(+)and Trpa1^(+)DRG neurons were increased after CFA treatment,most known pruriceptors,including Hrh1^(+),Mrgpra3^(+),Mrgprd^(+),Htr3a^(+),Htr1f^(+),IL31ra^(+),Osmr^(+),and Lpar3^(+)DRG neurons,were significantly decreased,which may explain that CFA treatment caused itch suppression.This study indicated that itch sensation was affected after CFA treatment,although negatively,and comprehensive but not specific suppression of different pruriceptors was observed after CFA treatment,suggesting that a unified adaptive change of increased pain and decreased itch will occur simultaneously under CFA-induced inflammatory conditions. | Wen Yin Li Liu Yuxi Zhou Yunchun Zhang Dexu Kong Saihong Xu Dan Tang Dan Huang Daxiang Wen Yingfu Jiao Yinghui Fan Po Gao Weifeng Yu | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5: | 0 |
| 12 | Revealing the phase-transformation path in a FeCoNiSnx eutectic high entropy alloy system by crystallographic orientation relationships显示文摘High entropy alloys are the focus of current research.An accurate description of their phase-transformation path,however,is a challenge when their phase constituent and transformation process are complex.In this study,a FeCoNiSn x eutectic high entropy alloy(EHEA)system was investigated and a novel FeCoNiSn EHEA composed of BCC+HCP phases was reported.The transition from the hypoeutectic to the fully eutectic and then to the hypereutectic microstructure with the Sn addition was characterized by the electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)technology,and the phase-transformation path was clari-fied by crystallographic orientation relationships.The studies reveal that the primary phase of FeCoNiSn x(x=0.2,0.4)is FCC structure,and a further Sn addition induces an obvious phase-transformation from FCC to BCC in both the primary phase and eutectic lamellar,which satisfies the Kurdjumov-Sachs(K-S)or Nishiyama-Wasserman(N-W)variant orientation relationship.The mechanical results confirm that the phase structure and microstructure transition caused by Sn addition do significantly improve the strength and hardness of FeCoNiSn x EHEAs,but have serious adverse effects on plasticity.This study would be of significance to understanding the phase-transformation process in HEAs and preparing the HEAs with aimed mechanical properties. | Jianbao Zhang Dexu Cui Xin Li Yixuan He Haifeng Wang Weimin Liu | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,25: | 0 |
