| 1 | Optimal Auxiliary Frequency Control of Wind Turbine Generators and Coordination with Synchronous Generators显示文摘Auxiliary frequency control of a wind turbine generator(WTG) has been widely used to enhance the frequencysecurity of power systems with high penetration of renewableenergy. Previous studies recommend two types of control schemes,including frequency droop control and emulated inertia control,which simulate the response characteristics of the synchronousgenerator (SG). This paper plans to further explore the optimalauxiliary frequency control of the wind turbine based on previousresearch. First, it is determined that the virtual inertia control haslittle effect on the maximum rate of change of frequency (MaxROCOF)if the time delay of the control link of WTG is taken intoconsideration. Secondly, if a WTG operates in maximum powerpoint tracking (MPPT) mode and uses the rotor deceleration forfrequency modulation, its optimal auxiliary frequency control willcontain only droop control. Furthermore, if the droop control isproperly delayed, better system frequency response (SFR) willbe obtained. The reason is that coordination between the WTGand SG is important for SFR when the frequency modulationcapability of the WTG is limited. | 3 | Guidelines for the ethical review of laboratory animal welfare People’s Republic of China National Standard GB/T 35892-2018 [Issued 6 February 2018 Effective from 1 September 2018]显示文摘These Chinese National Guidelines(GB/T 35892-20181)were issued February 06,2018 and became effective September 01,2018.The authors recognized the urgent need for an authentic English translation to inform the international community of the compliance requirements in China.It was appreciated that the final translation must reflect the specialist understanding of those working under the Guideline whilst remaining faithful to the meaning of the original Chinese text.A three-step translation process was therefore determined.Step 1:A professional interpretation service(KL Communications,UK)was commissioned to prepare a literal translation of the Chinese text.Supportive documents were provided which explained specialist terminology.This translation was checked by two bilingual experts.Step 2:A workshop was held in Nanjing in May 2019 to which were invited experts in laboratory animal welfare and ethical use.These included international native English-speaking and Chinese-speaking delegates.The delegates worked in multilingual teams to review sections of the literal translation ahead of the workshop,and to agree an authentic interpretation during the workshop.Step 3:Following the workshop,three bilingual experts(two native Chinese speakers and one native English speaker)reviewed the entire document to ensure consistency of terminology and general accuracy.This document is thus not a“literal translation”but an“accurate interpretation”of the original text.Any challenge of work being performed under these Guidelines should rely on the Chinese text in the first place.However,this translation may be used as mitigating evidence,especially where those performing the work are non-Chinese speakers. | Judy A.MacArthur Clark Deming Sun | 2020 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2020,3,1: | 8 |
| 4 | Th1、Th17细胞对小鼠视网膜星形细胞的杀伤作用显示文摘背景C57BL/6及B10Rm小鼠是实验性自身免疫性葡萄膜炎(EAU)动物模型常用的小鼠种系,其中C57BL/6小鼠免疫后眼部炎症较轻,而B10Rm小鼠免疫后眼部表现为典型的后葡萄膜炎病理改变。目的观察培养的光感受器间维生素A类结合蛋白(IRBP)抗原特异性Th1、Th17细胞对小鼠视网膜星形细胞的杀伤作用,研究EAU中Th1及Th17细胞的致病机制。方法选取C57BL/6小鼠、B10Rm小鼠各10只,尾根部及躯干皮下注射200Ix1含有200μgIRBP1—20或IRBP161—180抗原及完全弗氏佐剂(CFA)的乳化液,共均匀注射6个点以免疫动物。流式细胞仪分析B10Rm小鼠模型的眼内浸润T细胞类别。分离培养C57BL/6小鼠淋巴结及脾脏IRBP特异性T细胞,分别加入白细胞介素2(IL-2)或IL-23以适于Th1、Th17细胞生长。将培养至第5天的Th1、Th17细胞分别加入到经干扰素-1(IFN-1)预处理的单层视网膜星形细胞中,观察细胞间的相互作用,检测肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF—α)的质量浓度。结果B10R111小鼠EAU模型眼球中有大量炎性细胞浸润,流式细胞仪检测证实含有IFN-γ+、IL-17+细胞和CD45+细胞,分别占9.5%、5.1%和41.4%。IRBP1—20刺激后6d,含IL-2和IL-23培养基中IFN-γ+细胞分别为44.0%、8.0%,IL17+细胞分别为1.O%、26.O%。Th1、Th17与视网膜星形细胞相互作用24h后,可见视网膜星形细胞死亡脱落,Th17较Th1具有更强的杀伤作用。Th1、Th17细胞分别与星形细胞共培养48h,两种培养基中TNF—Ot的质量浓度分别为(500±10)、(801±24)μg/L,差异有统计学意义(t=-20.36,P=0.00)。结论Th1、Th17对视网膜星形细胞均有杀伤作用,Th17细胞杀伤作用更强,在葡萄膜炎致病过程中发挥更重要的作用。杀伤过程中既有细胞直接接触作用,又有通过细胞因子介导的间接作用。 | 崔彦 毕宏生 Deming Sun | 2012 | 中华实验眼科杂志2012,30,1: | 8 |
| 5 | Variation of Antarctic seal population in response to human activities in the 20th century显示文摘A sediment core was collected from the Fildes Peninsula of Antarctica, which contained numerous seal hairs and was identified to be seal excrement deposition. By analyzing its total organic carbon (TOC) and concentrations of bio-elements, the seal population changes of the past century were reconstructed. The variation of seal population in the last century on the Fildes Peninsula is primarily controlled by human activities. The sealing industry in the early 20th century caused the dramatic decline of seal popula-tion. | 6 | Ultra-high resolution strain sensor network assisted with an LS-SVM based hysteresis model显示文摘Optical fiber sensor network has attracted considerable research interests for geoscience applications.However,the sensor capacity and ultra-low frequency noise limits the sensing performance for geoscience data acquisition.To achieve a high-resolution and lager sensing capacity,a strain sensor network is proposed based on phase-sensitive op-tical time domain reflectometer(φ-OTDR)technology and special packaged fiber with scatter enhanced points(SEPs)ar-ray.Specifically,an extra identical fiber with SEPs array which is free of strain is used as the reference fiber,for com-pensating the ultra-low frequency noise in theφ-OTDR system induced by laser source frequency shift and environment temperature change.Moreover,a hysteresis operator based least square support vector machine(LS-SVM)model is in-troduced to reduce the compensation residual error generated from the thermal hysteresis nonlinearity between the sensing fiber and reference fiber.In the experiment,the strain sensor network possesses a sensing capacity with 55 sensor elements.The phase bias drift with frequency below 0.1 Hz is effectively compensated by LS-SVM based hyster-esis model,and the signal to noise ratio(SNR)of a strain vibration at 0.01 Hz greatly increases by 24 dB compared to that of the sensing fiber for direct compensation.The proposed strain sensor network proves a high dynamic resolution of 10.5 pε·Hz-1/2 above 10 Hz,and ultra-low frequency sensing resolution of 166 pεat 0.001 Hz.It is the first reported a large sensing capacity strain sensor network with sub-nεsensing resolution in mHz frequency range,to the best of our knowledge. | Tao Liu Hao Li Tao He Cunzheng Fan Zhijun Yan Deming Liu Qizhen Sun | 2021 | Opto-Electronic Advances2021,4,5: | 4 |

| 8 | Effects of the Nozzle Design on the Properties of Plasma Jet and Formation of YSZ Coatings under Low Pressure Conditions显示文摘How to control the quality of the coatings has become a major problem during the plasma spraying. Because nozzle contour has a great influence on the characteristic of the plasma jet, two kinds of plasma torches equipped with a standard cylindrical nozzle and a converging-diverging nozzle are designed for low pressure plasma spraying(LPPS) and very low pressure plasma spraying(VLPPS). Yttria stabilized zirconia(YSZ) coatings are obtained in the reducing pressure environment. The properties of the plasma jet without or with powder injection are analyzed by optical emission spectroscopy, and the electron temperature is calculated based on the ratio of the relative intensity of two ArⅠspectral lines. The results show that some of the YSZ powder can be vaporized in the low pressure enlarged plasma jet, and the long anode nozzle may improve the characteristics of the plasma jet. The coatings deposited by LPPS are mainly composed of the equiaxed grains and while the unmelted powder particles and large scalar pores appear in the coatings made by VLPPS. The long anode nozzle could improve the melting of the powders and deposition efficiency, and enhance the coatings' hardness. At the same time, the long anode nozzle could lead to a decrease in the overspray phenomenon. | 11 | The first determination of atmospheric phosphine in Antarctica显示文摘It is generally thought that phosphine (PH3) concentrations exist at the low ng/m3 level during the night and at the pg/m3 level during daylight in the remote atmosphere of the lower troposphere. The first de- termination of gaseous PH3 on the Antarctic Millor Peninsula is reported in this paper. No PH3 was de- tected in the air samples around 10:00 when it was sunny. However, PH3 was found in all the 10:00 air samples when it was cloudy or light snow with the average of 75.3±28.8 ng/m3 (n=5). It was also found in nearly all the samples around 22:00 with the average of 87.2±70.9 ng/m3 (n=11). Atmospheric PH3 concentrations around 22:00 were generally higher than those around 10:00 in January and they were almost the same in February. In addition, PH3 concentrations around 22:00 showed a downtrend with the decreasing air temperature, suggesting that light intensity and air temperature had an important effect on atmospheric PH3 concentration. It is very surprising to have found that high concentrations of PH3 exist in the Antarctic atmosphere under the influence of strong UV-radiation and light intensity. The tentative analyses show that dry, cold and very clean atmosphere may be very suitable for the PH3 sur- vival and cause the concentration to increase and accumulate in the local atmosphere. New ap- proaches for the PH3 formation and the process of atmospheric chemistry may exist under such an extreme environment. | 19 | Background Error Covariance Statistics of Hydrometeor Control Variables Based on Gaussian Transform显示文摘Use of data assimilation to initialize hydrometeors plays a vital role in numerical weather prediction(NWP).To directly analyze hydrometeors in data assimilation systems from cloud-sensitive observations,hydrometeor control variables are necessary.Common data assimilation systems theoretically require that the probability density functions(PDFs)of analysis,background,and observation errors should satisfy the Gaussian unbiased assumptions.In this study,a Gaussian transform method is proposed to transform hydrometeors to more Gaussian variables,which is modified from the Softmax function and renamed as Quasi-Softmax transform.The Quasi-Softmax transform method then is compared to the original hydrometeor mixing ratios and their logarithmic transform and Softmax transform.The spatial distribution,the non-Gaussian nature of the background errors,and the characteristics of the background errors of hydrometeors in each method are studied.Compared to the logarithmic and Softmax transform,the Quasi-Softmax method keeps the vertical distribution of the original hydrometeor mixing ratios to the greatest extent.The results of the D′Agostino test show that the hydrometeors transformed by the Quasi-Softmax method are more Gaussian when compared to the other methods.The Gaussian transform has been added to the control variable transform to estimate the background error covariances.Results show that the characteristics of the hydrometeor background errors are reasonable for the Quasi-Softmax method.The transformed hydrometeors using the Quasi-Softmax transform meet the Gaussian unbiased assumptions of the data assimilation system,and are promising control variables for data assimilation systems. | Tao SUN Yaodeng CHEN Deming MENG Haiqin CHEN | 2021 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,5: | 1 |
