2Soil Erosion Changes over the Past Five Decades in the Red Soil Region of Southern China显示文摘This paper reports the dynamic changes of soil and water loss in the red soil region of Southern China since the 1950s. The red soil region covers eight provinces: Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong and Hainan. From the 1950s to 1986, the annual rate of soil erosion increased by 3.4%. From 1986 to 1996 and from 1996 to 2000, the annual rates of soil erosion decreased by 2.0% and 0.32%, respectively. Field surveys showed that from 2000 to 2005, the area of soil and water loss decreased annually by 1.2%. This decrease was a result of large-scale erosion control activities across China. Although the eroded soil has been restored, the restoration process is very slow and full restoration will take a long time. 3Characteristics and tectonic setting of volcanic rocks in Early Cretaceous Baiyingaolao Formation of Keyouzhongqi area,Inner Mongolia显示文摘The authors studied zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating,the zircon Hf isotope and geochemistry of acidic volcanic rocks in Baiyingaolao Formation of Keyouzhongqi area,Inner Mongolia,and discussed the chronology,source region and tectonic setting of the volcanic rocks in the studied area. The clear oscillatory zoning of zircons indicates a typical magmatic origin,and the results of dating show that the volcanic rocks of Baiyingaolao Formation were formed in Early Cretaceous( 121. 5 ± 1. 0 Ma). The features of major and trace elements show that the rocks are alkali-rich,poor in calcium and magnesium with enrichment in LILEs like Th,U,K and Gd and depletion in HFSEs,e. g. Nb,Ta,Sr and Ti. The fact implies that they were the products of partial melting of the crust. εHf( t) =( +6.30--+9.06) and TDM2= 600--835 Ma,suggest the magma originated from partial melting of the young crust. 4Variation of Antarctic seal population in response to human activities in the 20th century显示文摘A sediment core was collected from the Fildes Peninsula of Antarctica, which contained numerous seal hairs and was identified to be seal excrement deposition. By analyzing its total organic carbon (TOC) and concentrations of bio-elements, the seal population changes of the past century were reconstructed. The variation of seal population in the last century on the Fildes Peninsula is primarily controlled by human activities. The sealing industry in the early 20th century caused the dramatic decline of seal popula-tion. 5X-BAND CIRCULARLY POLARIZED RECTENNAS FOR MICROWAVE POWER TRANSMISSION APPLICATIONS显示文摘Circularly polarized rectennas operating at X-band are studied in this paper. The quasi-square patches fed by aperture coupling are used as the circularly polarized receiving antennas, which are easily matched and integrated with the circuits of rectennas. The double-layer structure not only minimizes the size of the rectennas but also decreases the effects of the circuits on the an- tenna. The receiving elements have broader bandwidth and higher gain than the single-layer patches. Two rectennas operating at 10GHz are designed, fabricated and measured. The voltage of 3.86V on a load of 200? is measured and a high RF-DC conversion efficiency of 75% is obtained at 9.98GHz. 6Allele-aware chromosome-scale assembly of the allopolyploid genome of hexaploid Ma bamboo(Dendrocalamus latiflorus Munro)显示文摘Dendrocalamus latiflorus Munro is a woody clumping bamboo with rapid shoot growth.Both genetic transformation and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9(Cas9)gene editing techniques are available for D.latiflorus,enabling reverse genetic approaches.Thus,D.latiflorus has the potential to be a model bamboo species.However,the genome sequence of D.latiflorus has remained unreported due to its polyploidy and large genome size.Here,we sequenced the D.latiflorus genome and assembled it into three allele-aware subgenomes(AABBCC),representingthe largest genome of a major bamboo species.We assembled 70 allelic chromosomes(2,737 Mb)for hexaploid D.latiflorus using both singlemolecule sequencing from the Pacific Biosciences(Pac Bio)Sequel platform and chromosome conformation capture sequencing(Hi-C).Repetitive sequences comprised 52.65%of the D.latiflorus genome.We annotated 135231 protein-coding genes in the genome based on transcriptomes from eight different tissues.Transcriptome sequencing using RNA-Seq and Pac Bio singlemolecule real-time long-read isoform sequencing revealed highly differential alternative splicing(AS)between non-abortive and abortive shoots,suggesting that AS regulates the abortion rate of bamboo shoots.This high-quality hexaploid genome and comprehensive strand-specific transcriptome datasets for this Poaceae family member will pave the way for bamboo research using D.latiflorus as a model species.Yushan Zheng Deming Yang Jundong Rong Liguang Chen Qiang Zhu Tianyou He Lingyan Chen Jing Ye Lili Fan Yubang Gao Hangxiao Zhang Lianfeng Gu 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,3:6
7Political connections, media monitoring and long-term loans显示文摘We analyze data on Chinese non-state-listed firms and find that it is easier for firms with political connections to obtain long-term loans with extended debt maturities than it is for firms without political connections. Our investigation indicates that this phenomenon is significantly less common with increased media monitoring. 9An Efficient ECDSA-Based Signature Scheme for Wireless Networks显示文摘Wired equivalent security is difficult to provide in wireless networks due to high dynamics, wireless link vulnerability, and decentralization. The Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm(ECDSA) has been applied to wireless networks because of its low computational cost and short key size, which reduces the overheads in a wireless environment. This study improves the ECDSA scheme by reducing its time complexity. The significant advantage of the algorithm is that our new scheme needs not to calculate modular inverse operation in the phases of signature generation and signature verification. 10Effects of the Nozzle Design on the Properties of Plasma Jet and Formation of YSZ Coatings under Low Pressure Conditions显示文摘How to control the quality of the coatings has become a major problem during the plasma spraying. Because nozzle contour has a great influence on the characteristic of the plasma jet, two kinds of plasma torches equipped with a standard cylindrical nozzle and a converging-diverging nozzle are designed for low pressure plasma spraying(LPPS) and very low pressure plasma spraying(VLPPS). Yttria stabilized zirconia(YSZ) coatings are obtained in the reducing pressure environment. The properties of the plasma jet without or with powder injection are analyzed by optical emission spectroscopy, and the electron temperature is calculated based on the ratio of the relative intensity of two ArⅠspectral lines. The results show that some of the YSZ powder can be vaporized in the low pressure enlarged plasma jet, and the long anode nozzle may improve the characteristics of the plasma jet. The coatings deposited by LPPS are mainly composed of the equiaxed grains and while the unmelted powder particles and large scalar pores appear in the coatings made by VLPPS. The long anode nozzle could improve the melting of the powders and deposition efficiency, and enhance the coatings' hardness. At the same time, the long anode nozzle could lead to a decrease in the overspray phenomenon. 11Evaluation of dolomite reservoirs in the Longwangmiao Formation,Lower Cambrian in Northern Sichuan basin,China显示文摘With the extended petroleum exploration of the carbonate reservoir in the Longwangmiao Formation,Lower Cambrian in Sichuan basin,looking for a new favorable exploration area is the primary task in current exploration.This paper focusing on the dolomite reservoir in the Longwangmiao Formation in the Northern Sichuan basin,will evaluate the reservoir conditions,including reservoir lithology,reservoir spaces,physical properties and other basic characteristics.Combined with sedimentary environment study and diagenesis analysis,the genetic mechanism of Longwangmiao reservoir in study area will be discussed.It indicates that the reservoir rocks of Longwangmiao Formation in the study area are composed of dolarenite and crystalline dolomite,and the main reservoir spaces are intergranular dissolved pores,intragranular dissolved pores and intercrystalline dissolved pores.However,most of dissolved pores have been filled with bitumen,which lead to the reservoir properties very poor,both the porosity and permeability are worse than that of central Sichuan basin,so the reservoir in the Longwangmiao Formation in the Northern Sichuan basin is low-porosity and low-permeability reservoir.During the Early Cambrian Longwangmiao period,the study was near the old-land,and the energy of sea water was not enough to deposit many grain shoals,which cause the sediments are small with lots of quartz and muds.Moreover,because lacking of large scale karstification in the late diagenesis,there isn't much dissolved pores and vugs develop in the Longwangmiao Formation.Some Intergranular dissolved pores and intercrystalline dissolved pores formed by the early atmosphere water dissolved exist as some reservoir spaces,but most of them have been filled with bitumen,which was residual when the ancient oil reservoir transformed.Above factors cause the Longwangmiao Formation in the Northern Sichuan basin become not a very favorable reservoir in Sichuan basin.Xuefei Yang Yaping Wang Xingzhi Wang Deming Zeng Longbo Xu Zisang Huang 2017Petroleum2017,3,4:3

14A direct real-time polymerase chain reaction assay for rapid high-throughput detection of highly pathogenic North American porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus in China without RNA purification显示文摘Background:Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV),and particularly its highly pathogenic genotype(HP-PRRSV),have caused massive economic losses to the global swine industry.Results:To rapidly identify HP-PRRSV,we developed a direct real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction method(dRT-PCR) that could detect the virus from serum specimen without the need of RNA purification.Our dRT-PCR assay can be completed in 1.5 h from when a sample is received to obtaining a result.Additionally,the sensitivity of dRT-PCR matched that of conventional reverse transcription PCR(cRT-PCR) that used purified RNA.The lowest detection limit of HP-PRRSV was 6.3 TCID_(50) using dRT-PCR.We applied dRT-PCR assay to 144 field samples and the results showed strong consistency with those obtained by cRT-PCR.Moreover,the dRT-PCR method was able to tolerate 5-20%(v/v) serum.Conclusions:Our dRT-PCR assay allows for easier,faster,more cost-effective and higher throughput detection of HP-PRRSV compared with cRT-PCR methods.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first report to describe a real-time RT-PCR assay capable of detecting PRRSV in crude serum samples without the requirement for purifying RNA.We believe our approach has a great potential for application to other RNA viruses.Kang Kang Keli Yang Jiasheng Zhong Yongxiang Tian Limin Zhang Jianxin Zhai Li Zhang Changxu Song Christine Yuan Gou Jun Luo Deming Gou 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,1:2
15ANALYSIS OF SOIL EROSION CHARACTERISTICS AND SEDIMENT SOURCES FOR THE YANTZE THREE GORGES REGION显示文摘In this paper the researches made in 1981-1990 have identified that the annual soil loss in the Three Gorges region is 157 million t. and the annual incoming sediment load of the Three Gorges reservoir is 40 million t. Soil erosion increases with the destruction of vegetative cover and its subsequent evolution. The annual amounts of sediment erosion for forest land, shrub land, grassland and farmland make up respectively 6.19%, 10.76%, 23.05% and 60% of the total erosion of the Three Gorges region; the quantities of incoming sediment load to the Yangtze River from the above four types of land account for 5.95%, 12.42%, 35.46% and 46.1 % of the total amount of sediment transported to the reservoir. The farmland of offers the main source of sediment. Gravitational erosion produces more bed loads, which will present serious threat to the Three Gorges Project if entering the reservoir. Resettlement of people to the upper parts of the mountainous areas for agricultural production will increase the sediment yield of the Three Gorges region by 10-20 million t and increase the incoming sediment of the Yangtze River by 50-60 million t. 16Ecological Effects of Remote Smallsand Descending on Urban Area:Deduced from the 'Mud - Snow' in Changchun City显示文摘A serious sandstorm occurred in North China from April 5 to April 7, 2000, while the remote smallsand decending took place in even larger area to the far northeast China. In Chanchun city, smallsand descending with snow provides the best samples to conduct a quantitative research on the possible impacts of city - ecology. In the 253km2 urban district area of Changchun city, smallsands accumulated up to more than 3000t on April 7, according to the calculation of four 'mud - snow' samples. After naturally melting in room temperature, two samples are taken to do quarantine of 'invasion bacteria'. As a preliminary result, the individual amount of bacterium in 1 ml sample water is up to 8. 9 x 104 or 1. 05 x 105, and it is estimated that there are 640 million 'invasion bacterium' individuals in one square meter. 18An improved Tet-on system in micro RNA overexpression and CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing显示文摘Background: Tetracycline(Tet)-regulated expression system has become a widely applied tool to control gene activity. This study aimed to improve the Tet-on system with superior regulatory characteristics.Results: By comprehensively comparing factors of transactivators, Tet-responsive elements(TREs), orientations of induced expression cassette, and promoters controlling the transactivator, we developed an optimal Tet-on system with enhanced inducible efficiency and lower leakiness. With the system, we successfully performed effective inducible and reversible expression of micro RNA, and presented a more precise and easily reproducible fine-tuning for confirming the target of a mi RNA. 19Overfitting effect of artificial neural network based nonlinear equalizer: from mathematical origin to transmission evolution显示文摘Overfitting effect of artificial neural network(ANN)based nonlinear equalizer(NLE)leads to a trap of bit error ratio(BER)overestimation in optical fiber communication system,especially when the performance is evaluated by the commonly-used pseudo-random binary sequence(PRBS).First,we mathematically investigate the PRBS generation and Gray code mapping rules,in comparison with the use of Mersenne Twister random sequence(MTRS).Under the condition of a symbol erasure channel,we identify that ANN can recognize both the PRBS generation and symbol mapping rules,by increasing the weights of NLE at specific positions,whereas the MTRS is currently safe owing to the limited input length of current ANN based NLE.Then,we design four channel models of fiber optical transmission to experimentally examine various impairments on the evolution of overfitting effect.When both the additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN)channel and the bandwidth limited channel are considered,the mitigation of overfitting becomes possible by the use of pruned PRBS(P-PRBS)training set with removing the generation and mapping rules determined input symbols.However,as for both the chromatic dispersion(CD)uncompensated channel and the CD managed channel,the overfitting effect becomes serious,because both CD and fiber nonlinearity induced inter-symbol interference(ISI)is beneficial for ANN to identify the PRBS symbol rules.Finally,possible solutions to mitigate the overfitting effect are summarized.Zheng YANG Fan GAO Songnian FU Ming TANG Deming LIU 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,6:2
