1Determination of Taurine in Biological Samples by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography Using 4-Fluoro-7-Nitrobenzofurazan as a Derivatizing Agent显示文摘Objective A highly sensitive and rapid high‐performance liquid chromatography method with pre‐column derivatization with 4‐fluoro‐7‐nitrobenzofurazan was developed for determination of taurine in biological samples,including plasma,brain,and liver.Methods The optimum derivatization reaction temperature was 70℃,and at this temperature the reaction was complete within 3 min.The derivatized taurine was separated using phosphate buffer (0.02 mol/L,pH 6.0):acetonitrile (84:16,v/v) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,and a column temperature of 25℃.The taurine derivatives were separated within 20 min (tR:14.5 min) and fluorometrically detected at 530 nm with excitation at 470 nm.Results The intra‐ and the inter‐day coefficients of variation for the method were 5.3% and 7.7%,respectively.The calibration curve was linear from 0.1 μmol/L to 30.0 μmol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.9995.Conclusion This method can be used to determine the taurine contents in plasma,brain,and liver from normal rats and human plasma.WANG XiFeng CHI DeFeng SU GuanMin LI Lin SHAO LiHua 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,5:13
2Atrophy of the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex is associated with poor performance in verbal fluency in elderly poststroke women显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the association between atrophy in the prefrontal cortex with executive function and verbal fluency in elderly male and female patients poststroke.Thirty elderly female patients with non-aphasic ischemic stroke aged ≥ 60 years and 30 age-matched non-aphasic male patients with ischemic stroke were recruited.Automatic magnetic resonance imaging segmentation was used to assess the volume of the whole prefrontal cortex,along with its subdivisions:anterior cingulate cortex,orbitofrontal cortex and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex.The Semantic Verbal Fluency Test was administered at 3 and 15 months poststroke.At 3 months poststroke,left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex volume was significantly correlated with Verbal Fluency Test score in female patients only(partial coefficient = 0.453,P = 0.045),after controlling for age,education,diabetes,neurological deficit,white matter lesions volume,as well as the location and volume of infarcts.At 15 months poststroke,there remained a significant association between the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex volume and Verbal Fluency Test(partial coefficient = 0.661,P = 0.001) and between the left prefrontal cortex volume and Verbal Fluency Test(partial coefficient = 0.573,P = 0.004) in female patients after the same adjustments.These findings indicate that atrophy of the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex contributes to the impairment of verbal fluency in elderly female patients with stroke.Sex differences may be present in the neuropsychological mechanisms of verbal fluency impairment in patients with stroke.Yang-Kun Chen Wei-Min Xiao Defeng Wang Lin Shi Winnie CW Chu Vincent CT Mok Ka Sing Wong Gabor S Ungvari Wai Kwong Tang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,4:2

6Structural feature and tectonic evolution of Awati-Bachu area in Tarim Basin显示文摘The research area is situated in the western part of Tarim basin,which includes Awati depression and Bachu uplifted block. It underwent three times processes of compression in a large scale and a near term extension since Cambrian. The first compression occurred during Middle Cambrian to Devonian, which formed fault band folds in NW axial direction. They were 'under-water uplift'and distributed all over the research area. The second compression occurred in Late Permian and formed fault band folds and a few fault propagation folds in NS axial direction. They are developed near Tumuxiuke fault belt and the northern research area. The western anticline is bigger than the eastern one in extent and size. The third compression occurred during Palaeogene to Quaternary and formed tumuxiuke fault belt and fault propagation folds in NW direction. They are distributed over the south part of the research area. Tumuxiuke fault belt is a big scale dextral reversed strike-slip fault belt; it transformed or destroyed the fold structure of the research area. A short-term extension occurred during Early Permian. 8In Situ Preparation and Analysis of Bimetal Co?doped Mesoporous Graphitic Carbon Nitride with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘A novel photocatalyst of mesoporous graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_3N_4) co-doped with Co and Mo(Co/Mo-MCN) has been one-pot synthesized via a simple template-free method; cobalt chloride and molybdenum disulfide were used as the Co and Mo sources, respectively. The characterization results evidently indicate that molybdenum disulfide functions as Mo sources to incorporate Mo atoms in the framework of g-C_3N_4 and as a catalyst for promoting the decomposition of g-C_3N_4, resulting in the creation of mesopores. The obtained Co/Mo-MCN exhibited a significant enhancement of the photocatalytic activity in H_2 evolution(8.6 times) and Rhodamine B degradation(10.1 times) under visible light irradiation compared to pristine g-C_3N_4. Furthermore, density functional theory calculations were applied to further understand the photocatalytic enhancement mechanism of the optical absorption properties at the atomic level after Co-or Mo-doping. Finite-di erence time-domain simulations were performed to evaluate the e ect of the mesopore structures on the light absorption capability. 11Flexible predictive power-split control for battery-supercapacitor systems of electric vehicles using IVHS显示文摘The utilization of traffic information received from intelligent vehicle highway systems(IVHS) to plan velocity and split output power for multi-source vehicles is currently a research hotspot. However, it is an open issue to plan vehicle velocity and distribute output power between different supply units simultaneously due to the strongly coupling characteristic of the velocity planning and the power distribution. To address this issue, a flexible predictive power-split control strategy based on IVHS is proposed for electric vehicles(EVs) equipped with battery-supercapacitor system(BSS). Unlike hierarchical strategies to plan vehicle velocity and distribute output power separately, a monolayer model predictive control(MPC) method is employed to optimize them online at the same time. Firstly, a flexible velocity planning strategy is designed based on the signal phase and time(SPAT) information received from IVHS and then the Pontryagin’s minimum principle(PMP) is adopted to formulate the optimal control problem of the BSS. Then, the flexible velocity planning strategy and the optimal control problem of BSS are embedded into an MPC framework, which is online solved using the shooting method in a fashion of receding horizon.
