| 1 | Immunohistochemical assessment of angiogenesis in hepatocellular carcinoma and surrounding cirrhotic liver tissues显示文摘AIM: To investigate whether vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was over-expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or in surrounding cirrhotic liver tissues.METHODS: Immunohistochemistry was performed to investigate the expression of VEGF proteins in HCC tissues from 105 consecutive patients undergoing curative resection for HCC. The immunostaining results and related clinicopathologic materials were analyzed with statistical methods. Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate survival curves, and Log-rank test was performed to compare differences in survival rates of the patients with positive HCC staining and negative VEGF.RESULTS: VEGF-positive expression was found in 72 of105 HCC patients (68.6%). Capsular infiltration (P= 0.005),vascular invasion (P = 0.035) and intrahepatic metastasis(P=0.008) were observed more frequently in patients with VEGF-positive expression than in those with VEGFnegative expression. Kaplan-Meier curves showed that VEGF-positive expression was associated with a shorter overall survival (P = 0.014). VEGF-positive expression was found in 47 of tissues 68 HCC (69.1%), and VEGF-positive expression was found in 54 of 68 surrounding cirrhotic liver tissues (79.4%). | 3 | The MOOC/SPOC Based'1+M+N'Multi-University Collaborative Teaching and Learning Mode:Practice and Experience显示文摘Since 2012, the MOOCs, the massive open online courses, have brought big influences on the higher education in the world. How to use MOOCs to help universities rather than bother them to improve their education level and quality becomes an important issue. In China, many universities have explored the new modes and approaches for MOOC/SPOC-based teaching and learning. Especially, the China MOOC Association on Computing Education(CMOOC association), established in 2014, has done a set of successful practice and achieved fruitful experiences on MOOC courses development and computer education reform. Based on the practical experiences, a MOOC/SPOC based '1+M+N' multi-university collaborative teaching and learning mode is presented, which is adapted to the real situation of Chinese university education. In the paper, the practices and experiences of CMOOC association are introduced, the MOOC/SPOC based '1+M+N' multi-university collaborative teaching and learning mode and its approaches are described. | 5 | Effect of removing silica in rice husk for the preparation of activated carbon for supercapacitor applications显示文摘Renewable biomass-derived activated carbons have attracted attentions for supercapacitor applications. Rice husk is a kind of abundant biomass, which has been studied for the preparation of hierarchical activated carbons. Rice husk is rich in silica. Silica in rice husk affects the formation of pore structure in the KOH activation process, which further affects the electrochemical performance of the resultant activated carbon for supercapacitors. In this paper, the effects of silica in rice husk on the activation process were investigated. When the silica in rice husk is not removed, KOH preferentially reacts with silica to produce silicate, which hinders the formation and enlargement of mesopores;the obtained activated carbon exhibits high microporous ratio, high specific area (up to 3263 m^2/g), high specific capacitance (315 F/g at 0.5 A/g), but poor rate capability (51.7%capacitance retention with increasing the current density from 0.5 A/g to 20 A/g). | 6 | Deformed stromatolites in marbles of the Mesoproterozoic Wumishan Formation as evidence for synsedimentary seismic activity显示文摘The Mesoproterozoic Wumishan Formation consists mainly of dolomites that represent diagenetically transformed limestones deposited in a shallow peritidal environment.Although the environment was tectonically stable,the study area in the Changping District(north of the Beijing area) was affected by synsedimentary earthquakes.Later,the dolomites in the study area were intruded by a granite.This resulted in contact metamorphism of the dolomites,changing them in a halo around the intrusion into marble.This marble,which is exposed near Taoyukou Village,shows some levels with well-developed stromatolites.The stromatolites contain structures that point at deformation when the stromatolites had not yet been lithified,and thus represent soft-sediment deformation structures.The stromatolites apparently built up during a time-span when repeated deformational processes affected the still unlithified sediment,from the sedimentary surface down to maximally a few decimeters.The deformed stromatolites thus represent seismites,which feature is exceptionally rarely recognizable in marble. | A.J.(Tom) van Loon Su Dechen | 2013 | Journal of Palaeogeography2013,2,4: | 7 |

Nanoelectrodes have emerged as an increasingly important tool for biomolecule analyses at the single-cell level with high spatial or temporal resolution. Various electrochemical methods, such as amperometry and scanning electrochemical microscopy(SECM), have been applied. Research to date has focused on the development of new nanoelectrochemical architectures, such as arrays, to achieve higher spatial resolution and faster analysis rates for single-cell analysis. | 11 | Enhancing interaction performance of soft pneumatic-networks grippers by skeleton topology optimization显示文摘The inherent compliance of soft materials imbues robots,generally referred to as soft robots,with particular advantages in producing adaptive and safe interactions.However,the mainstream design paradigms of soft robots have been focused on pursuing large free motions only,usually at the expense of greatly decreased stiffness,leading to limited capability of withstanding external loads in interactive scenarios.There is a pressing need to incorporate the interaction specifications at the design stage to embody soft robots with not only proper deformability but equally importantly,considerable stiffness to perform complex tasks in practical applications.Here,inspired by the dexterity of human hands,we propose a computational design framework for soft grippers with a focus on improving their interaction performance in power grasping or precision grasping mode.The design paradigm rests on attaching a relatively stiffer skeleton layer to the parametric pneumatic networks based actuator which is widely used due to the geometric advantage,and the skeleton layout is designed for customized interaction conditions by a level set based topology optimization approach.As expected,the optimized skeleton layouts exhibit specified structural features highly relevant to the predefined concentrated loads for precision grip or distributed loads for power grip,which physically implies the compromise between deformability and stiffness.Since the interaction forces are difficult to measure in situ,we devise power and precision grasping scenarios and evaluate the critical actuation pressure of the object’s falling instead.The experiments qualitatively demonstrate the superiority of each specified design.This work represents an initial step toward the rational design for interaction in soft robots. | CHEN ShiTong WANG YuSheng LI DeChen CHEN FeiFei ZHU XiangYang | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,12: | 2 |

This paper analyzes the characteristics of resources in the distributed environment and proposes a new resource management architecture by considering the resource aggregation capacity of cloud computing. The architecture includes a universal resource scheduling optimization model which has been applied successfully in double-district multi-ship-scheduling multi-container-yard empty containers transporting of international shipping logistics.
