2Study of atmospheric CO2 and CH4 at Longfengshan WMO/GAW regional station: The variations, trends, influence of local sources/sinks, and transport显示文摘Atmospheric CO_2 and CH_4 have been continuously measured since 2009 at Longfengshan WMO/GAW station(LFS) in China. Variations of the mole fractions, influence of long-distance transport, effects of local sources/sinks and the characteristics of synoptic scale variations have been studied based on the records from 2009 to 2013. Both the CO_2 and CH_4 mole fractions display increasing trends in the last five years, with growth rates of 3.1±0.02 ppm yr.1 for CO_2 and 8±0.04 ppb yr.1(standard error, 1-σ)for CH_4. In summer, the regional CO_2 mole fractions are apparently lower than the Marine Boundary Layer reference, with the lowest value of.13.6±0.7 ppm in July, while the CH_4 values are higher than the MBL reference, with the maximum of 139±6 ppb.From 9 to 17(Local time, LT) in summer, the atmospheric CO_2 mole fractions at 10 m a.g.l. are always lower than at 80 m, with a mean difference of.1.1±0.2 ppm, indicating that the flask sampling approach deployed may underestimate the background mole fractions in summer. In winter, anthropogenic emissions dominate the regional CO_2 and CH_4 mole fractions. Cluster analysis of backward trajectories shows that atmospheric CO_2 and CH_4 at LFS are influenced by anthropogenic emissions from the southwest(Changchun and Jilin city) all year. 3A state-of-the-art review on passivation and biofouling of Ti and its alloys in marine environments显示文摘High strength-to-weight ratio, commendable biocompatibility and excellent corrosion resistance make Ti alloys widely applicable in aerospace, medical and marine industries. However, these alloys suffer from serious biofouling, and may become vulnerable to corrosion attack under some extreme marine conditions. The passivating and biofouling performance of Ti alloys can be attributed to their compact,stable and protective films. This paper comprehensively reviews the passivating and biofouling behavior,as well as their mechanisms, for typical Ti alloys in various marine environments. 6Application of C_5-C_(13) light hydrocarbons in depositional environment diagnosis显示文摘Based on the geological background and Gammacerane/C31H(S + R) ratios, source rock depositional environments of the studied oil samples (194) from 13 oilfields were classified into three groups according to salinity:saline-lacustrine facies, fresh to brackish lacustrine facies (including limnetic facies), and semi-saline to saline facies (including marine facies of the Tarim Basin).C5-C13 compound groups in the crude oils were separated by GC, and about 286 compounds were qualitatively analyzed.The geochemical application of the C6-C13 compound groups and their ratios between each group with individual carbon number was investigated.Our studies show that (1) C6-C13 compound groups and their ratios in the crude oils could serve as new reliable parameters for oil-oil correlation because the C6-C13 light fractions are the major oil component, especially in light oil or condensate, in which they account for almost 90% of the whole oil;(2) the compound groups of C7 light hydrocarbons in oils derived from difierent depositional environments with difierent salinity have difierent characteristics;(3) C6-C13 compound groups and ratios may be afiected by other factors such as maturity, but they are mainly controlled by salinity of depositional waters.Peirong Wang Guanjun Xu Tingrong Xiao Dajiang Zhang Bin Zhang 2008Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,9:8
7Review of the atmospheric corrosion of magnesium alloys显示文摘Mg atmospheric corrosion is induced by a thin surface aqueous layer. Controlling factors are microgalvanic acceleration between different phases, protection by a continuous second phase distribution, protection by corrosion products, and degradation of protective layers by aggressive species such as chloride ions. The Mg atmospheric corrosion rate increases with relative humidity (RH) and concentrations of aggressive species. Temperature increases the corrosion rate unless a protective film causes a decrease.O2, SO2 and NO2 accelerate the atmospheric corrosion rate, whereas the corrosion rate is decreased by CO2. 8Deep-learning-based ciphertext-only attack on optical double random phase encryption显示文摘Optical cryptanalysis is essential to the further investigation of more secure optical cryptosystems.Learning-based at-tack of optical encryption eliminates the need for the retrieval of random phase keys of optical encryption systems but it is limited for practical applications since it requires a large set of plaintext-ciphertext pairs for the cryptosystem to be at-tacked.Here,we propose a two-step deep learning strategy for ciphertext-only attack(COA)on the classical double ran-dom phase encryption(DRPE).Specifically,we construct a virtual DRPE system to gather the training data.Besides,we divide the inverse problem in COA into two more specific inverse problems and employ two deep neural networks(DNNs)to respectively learn the removal of speckle noise in the autocorrelation domain and the de-correlation operation to retrieve the plaintext image.With these two trained DNNs at hand,we show that the plaintext can be predicted in real-time from an unknown ciphertext alone.The proposed learning-based COA method dispenses with not only the retrieval of random phase keys but also the invasive data acquisition of plaintext-ciphertext pairs in the DPRE system.Numerical simulations and optical experiments demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed learning-based COA method.Meihua Liao Shanshan Zheng Shuixin Pan Dajiang Lu Wenqi He Guohai Situ Xiang Peng 2021Opto-Electronic Advances2021,4,5:7

12Role of Lef1 in sustaining self-renewal in mouse embryonic stem cells显示文摘Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) can self-renew indefinitely while maintaining the ability to generate all three germ-layer derivatives.Despite the importance of ESCs in developmental biology and their potential impact on regenerative medicine,the molecular mechanisms controlling ESC behavior are incompletely understood.Previously,activation of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway has been shown to contribute to mouse ESC self-renewal.Here we report that ectopic expression of Lef1,a component of the Wnt signaling pathway,has a positive effect on the self-renewal of mouse ESCs.Lef1 up-regulates Oct4 promoter activity and physically interacts with Nanog,two key components of the ESC pluripotency machinery.Moreover,siRNA for Lef1 induced mouse ESC differentiation.Our results thus suggest that in response to Wnt signaling Lef1 binds to stabilized β-catenin and helps maintain the undifferentiated status of ESCs through modulation of Oct4 and Nanog.Chen Huang Dajiang Qin 2010Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,7:3
13Using nerve segment insert grafting to reconstruct neural pathways of brain-derived paralysis显示文摘Since 1992,task groups have used free nerve auto grafts to bridge partially transected nerves from the dominant area of the normal cerebral cortex to nerves that innervate spastic muscles from a diseased cerebral cortex,using transplanting sutures to alleviate the muscle spasm of cerebral palsy caused by different diseases. This has facilitated rebuilding of some of its neurological function. In this study,80 such patients were followed up,including 20 patients with traumatic brain injury,32 patients with stroke,and 28 pediatric patients with cerebral palsy. 14Characteristics and quantitative of negative ion in salt aqueous solution by Raman spectroscopy at-170℃显示文摘The results from Raman spectroscopy analysis of salt aqueous solutions at ?170℃ demonstrate that for those clearly sharp iron peaks whose Raman wavenumber is close to each other such as NO 3? and CO 32?, their original shape could be restorable by the stripping technique, and that ice’s sharp characteristic peak (3090―3109 cm?1) is steady, while the spectrum band of the complex compound (nCl?―[H+―OH?]n) chlorine ion combined chemically with water molecule is 3401―3413 cm?1. On the other hand, the research shows that the higher the negative iron concen-tration, the stronger its Raman characteristic peak intensity and the smaller the ice’s. Based on the number of data and theoretical work, the strong correlation of the molar concentration of negative ion with the Si /SH 2 O band area ratio is built up. 15Software Defined Optical Networks and Its Innovation Environment显示文摘Software defined optical networks(SDONs) integrate software defined technology with optical communication networks and represent the promising development trend of future optical networks. The key technologies for SDONs include software-defined optical transmission, switching, and networking. The main features include control and transport separation, hardware universalization, protocol standardization, controllable optical network, and flexible optical network applications.This paper introduces software defined optical networks and its innovation environment, in terms of network architecture,protocol extension solution, experiment platform and typical applications. Batch testing has been conducted to evaluate the performance of this SDON testbed. 16On brain activity mapping: Insights and lessons from Brain Decoding Project to map memory patterns in the hippocampus显示文摘The BRAIN project recently announced by the president Obama is the reflection of unrelenting human quest for cracking the brain code, the patterns of neuronal activity that define who we are and what we are. While the Brain Activity Mapping proposal has rightly emphasized on the need to develop new technologies for measuring every spike from every neuron, it might be helpful to consider both the theoretical and experimental aspects that would accelerate our search for the organizing principles of the brain code. Here we share several insights and lessons from the similar proposal, namely, Brain Decoding Project that we initiated since 2007. We provide a specific example in our initial mapping of real-time memory traces from one part of the memory circuit, namely, the CA1 region of the mouse hippocampus. We show how innovative behavioral tasks and appropriate mathematical analyses of large datasets can play equally, if not more, important roles in uncovering the specific-to-general feature-coding cell assembly mechanism by which episodic memory, semantic knowledge, and imagination are generated and organized. Our own experiences suggest that the bottleneck of the Brain Project is not only at merely developing additional new technologies, but also the lack of efficient avenues to disseminate cutting edge platforms and decoding expertise to neuroscience community. Therefore, we propose that in order to harness unique insights and extensive knowledge from various investigators working in diverse neuroscience subfields, ranging from perception and emotion to memory and social behaviors, the BRAIN project should create a set of International and National Brain Decoding Centers at which cutting-edge recording technologies and expertise on analyzing large datasets analyses can be made readily available to the entire community of neuroscientists who can apply and schedule to perform cutting-edge research.TSIEN Joe Z.
