1Lingguizhugan Decoction, a Chinese herbal formula, improves insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: a translational approach显示文摘Lingguizhugan Decoction(LGZG)has been investigated in basic studies,with satisfactory effects on insulin resistance in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).This translational approach aimed to explore the effect and underlying mechanism of LGZG in clinical setting.A randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled trial was performed.A total of 243 eligible participants with NAFLD were equally allocated to receive LGZG(two groups:standard dose and low dose)or placebo for 12 weeks on the basis of lifestyle modifications.The primary efficacy variable was homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR).Analyses were performed in two populations in accordance with body mass index(BMI;overweight/obese,BMI 24 kg/m^(2);lean,BMI<24 kg/m^(2)).For overweight/obese participants,low-dose LGZG significantly decreased their HOMA-IR level compared with placebo(0.19(1.47)versus 0.08(1.99),P=0.038).For lean subjects,neither dose of LGZG showed a superior effect compared with placebo.Methylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing and real-time qPCR found that the DNA N6-methyladenine modification levels of protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 3A(PPP1R3A)and autophagy related 3(ATG3)significantly increased after LGZG intervention in overweight/obese population.Low-dose LGZG effectively improved insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with NAFLD.The underlying mechanism may be related to the regulation of DNA N6-methyladenine modification of PPP1R3A and ATG3.Lean subjects may not be a targeted population for LGZG.Liang Dai Jingjuan Xu Baocheng Liu Yanqi Dang Ruirui Wang Lijie Zhuang Dong Li Lulu Jiao Jianying Wang Lei Zhang Linda LDZhong Wenjun Zhou Guang Ji 2022Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,5:7

4A graphene rheostat for highly durable and stretchable strain sensor显示文摘Strain sensors for human health monitoring are of paramount importance in wearable medical diagnostics and personal health monitoring.Despite extensive studies,strain sensors with both high durability and stretchability are still desired,particularly with the stability for different environmental conditions.Here,we report a series of strain sensors possessing the graphene network with a high density of intermittent physical interconnections,which produces the relative resistance change by varying the overlap area between the neighboring graphene sheets under stretching and releasing,analogous to the slide rheostat working in electronics.Our in-situ transmission electron microscope observation reveals the full recoverability of the structure from large deformation upon unloading for ensuring the exceptional cycle stability of our material on monitoring full-range body movements.The stable response is also demonstrated over wide temperature range and frequency range,because the peculiar dynamic structure can be maintained through the self-adjustment to the thermal expansion of the bulk material.Based on the working mechanism of graphene“slide rheostat,”the sensing properties of the strain sensor are tailored by tuning the graphene network structure with different mass densities using different concentrations of graphene oxide dispersion,while the stretchability and sensitivity can be separately optimized for different application requirements.Jing Ren Wenjun Zhang Yubo Wang Yaxiong Wang Jun Zhou Liming Dai Ming Xu 2019InfoMat2019,1,3:4

6Battlefield dynamic scanning and staring imaging system based on fast steering mirror显示文摘This paper presents the design of an experimental battlefield dynamic scanning and staring imaging system based on a fast steering mirror(FSM), which is capable of real-time monitoring of hot targets and wide-area reconnaissance of hot regions. First,the working principle and working sequence of the FSM are briefly analyzed. The mathematical model of the FSM system is built by modeling its dynamic and electrical properties, and the rationality of the model is validated by means of model identification. Second,the influence of external sources of disturbance such as the carrier and moment on the control precision of the FSM is effectively suppressed by the jointly controlling of proportional integral(PI)and disturbance observer(DOB), thus realizing a high precision and strong robustness control of the FSM system. Then, this paper designs an experimental prototype and introduces a special optical structure to enable the infrared camera to share the FSM with the visible light camera. Finally, the influence of the velocity difference between the mirror of the FSM and the rotating platform on the imaging quality of the system is experimentally analyzed by using the image sharpness evaluation method based on point sharpness. 7Semantic information processing in industrial networks显示文摘The industrial Internet of things(industrial IoT, IIoT) aims at connecting everything, which poses severe challenges to existing wireless communication. To handle the demand for massive access in future industrial networks, semantic information processing is integrated into communication systems so as to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of data transmission. The semantic paradigm is particularly suitable for the purpose-oriented information exchanging scheme in industrial networks. To illustrate its applicability, typical industrial data are investigated, i.e., time series and images. 8Study on Cryopreservation of Porphyra yezoensis Conchocelis显示文摘Cryopreservation of Porphyra yezoensis conchocelis was conducted with cryoprotectants and a proposed pretreatment procedure and thawing methods explored. Six cryoprotectants combined by DMSO with ethylene glycol(EG),propylene glycol(PEG),sorbitol and sucrose were developed. The effect of prefreezing at - 40℃ or -20℃ for different time durations was compared and the thawing methods were screened. It was shown that the cryoprotectant including 10% DMSO with 0.5 molL-1 sorbitol exhib-ited the optimal effect. The ideal pretreatment was that conchocelis segments were stayed for 20 min at - 40℃ before stored in liquid nitrogen,and 40℃ water bath was proper for quick thawing. Without taxonomists, organisms cannot be accurately identified, neither can these organisms be given universally accepted names, and reliably positioned in the phylogenetic tree of life. 10Boron difluoride formazanate dye for high-efficiency NIR-Ⅱ fluorescence imaging-guided cancer photothermal therapy显示文摘The small molecular second near-infrared(NIR-Ⅱ, 1000–1700 nm) dye-based nanotheranostics can concurrently combine deep-tissue photodiagnosis with in situ phototherapy, which occupies a vital position in the early detection and precise treatment of tumors. However, the development of small molecular NIR-Ⅱ dyes is still challenging due to the limited electron acceptors and cumbersome synthetic routes.Herein, we report a novel molecular electron acceptor, boron difluoride formazanate(BDF). Based on BDF, a new small molecular NIR-Ⅱ dye BDF1005 is designed and synthesized with strong NIR-I absorption at 768 nm and bright NIR-Ⅱ peak emission at 1034 nm. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that BDF1005-based nanotheranostics can be applied for NIR-Ⅱ fluorescence imaging-guided photothermal therapy of 4T1 tumor-bearing mice. Under 808 nm laser irradiation, tumor growth can be effectively inhibited. 20Phytoplankton Structure and Evaluation of Water Quality in Spring in the Moats of Dinghai District,Zhoushan City显示文摘Phytoplankton structure in spring in the moats of Dinghai District,Zhoushan City was investigated in April 2016. Firstly,the species composition and dominant species of phytoplankton were analyzed,and then the water quality of the moats was evaluated by cell density,water-quality indicator species,biodiversity index method,and saprobic index method. The results show that there were 114 species of phytoplankton in the moats of Dinghai District in spring,belonging to 70 genera,38 families,and 7 phyla,of which Bacillarophyta,Chlorophyta and Cyanophyta were dominant; the main dominant species were Synedra acus,Aphanizomenon flosaquae,Microcytis flos-aquae,etc. The cell density of phytoplankton in the moats ranged from 1.07 million to 13.7 million cells/L. Shannon-Wiener diversity index,Margalef richness index,Pielou evenness index,and saprobic index averaged 0.93,2.53,0.12,and 2.61 respectively.
