2Physics-informed deep learning for incompressible laminar flows显示文摘Physics-informed deep learning has drawn tremendous interest in recent years to solve computational physics problems,whose basic concept is to embed physical laws to constrain/inform neural networks,with the need of less data for training a reliable model.This can be achieved by incorporating the residual of physics equations into the loss function.Through minimizing the loss function,the network could approximate the solution.In this paper,we propose a mixed-variable scheme of physics-informed neural network(PINN)for fluid dynamics and apply it to simulate steady and transient laminar flows at low Reynolds numbers.A parametric study indicates that the mixed-variable scheme can improve the PINN trainability and the solution accuracy.The predicted velocity and pressure fields by the proposed PINN approach are also compared with the reference numerical solutions.Simulation results demonstrate great potential of the proposed PINN for fluid flow simulation with a high accuracy.Chengping Rao Hao Sun Yang Liu 2020Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2020,10,3:11
3Microstructure and Properties of Low Temperature Composite Chromized Layer on H13 Tool Steel显示文摘Low temperature composite chromizing is a process composed of a plain ion-carbonitriding or ion-nitriding at 550~580℃, followed by a low-temperature chromizing in a salt-bath of 590℃. The microstructure and properties of the low temperature composite chromized layer on H13 tool steel were investigated using metallography,X-ray diffraction, microanalysis, hardness and wear tests. It was found that this low temperature process was thermodynamically and kinetically possible, and the composite chromized layer on H13 steel, with a thickness of 3~6μm,consisted of three sub-layers (bands), viz. the outer Cr-rich one, the intermediate (black) one, and the inner, original white layer. After chromizing, the former diffusion layer was thickened. The results of X-ray diffraction showed that the composite chromized layer contained such nitrides and carbides of chromium as CrN, Cr2N, (Cr, Fe)23C6, and (Cr, Fe)7C3, as well as plain α-(Fe, Cr). A high surface microhardness of 1450~1550 HV0.025, which is much higher than that obtained by the conventional ion carbonitriding and ion nitriding, was obtained. 6Prevalence and clinical significance of pathogenic germline BRCA1/2 mutations in Chinese non-small cell lung cancer patients显示文摘Objective: Germline alterations in the breast cancer susceptibility genes type 1 and 2, BRCA1 and BRCA2, predispose individuals to hereditary cancers, including breast, ovarian, prostate, pancreatic, and stomach cancers.Accumulating evidence suggests inherited genetic susceptibility to lung cancer.The present study aimed to survey the prevalence of pathogenic germline BRCA mutations(gBRCAm) and explore the potential association between gBRCAm and disease onset in Chinese advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patients.Methods: A total of 6,220 NSCLC patients were screened using capture-based ultra-deep targeted sequencing to identify patients harboring germline BRCA1/2 mutations.Results: Out of the 6,220 patients screened, 1.03%(64/6,220) of the patients harbored the pathogenic gB RCAm, with BRCA2 mutations being the most predominant mutations(49/64, 76.5%).Patients who developed NSCLC before 50 years of age were more likely to carry gBRCAm(P = 0.036).Among the patients harboring classic lung cancer driver mutations, those with concurrent gBRCAm were significantly younger than those harboring the wild-type gBRCA(P = 0.029).By contrast, the age of patients with or without concurrent gBRCAm was comparable to those of patients without the driver mutations(P = 0.972).In addition, we identified EGFR-mutant patients with concurrent gBRCAm who showed comparable progression-free survival but significantly longer overall survival(P = 0.002) compared to EGFR-mutant patients with wild-type germline BRCA.Conclusions: Overall, our study is the largest survey of the prevalence of pathogenic gBRCAm in advanced Chinese NSCLC patients.Results suggested a lack of association between germline BRCA status and treatment outcome of EGFR-TKI.In addition,results showed a positive correlation between pathogenic gB RCAm and an early onset of NSCLC.Xingsheng Hu Dongyong Yang Yalun Li Li Li Yan Wang Peng Chen Song Xu Xingxiang Pu Wei Zhu Pengbo Deng Junyi Ye Hanhan Zhang Analyn Lizaso Hao Liu Xinru Mao Hai Huang Qian Chu Chengping Hu 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,3:4

8Contrasting physical properties of the trilayer nickelates Nd4Ni3O10 and Nd4Ni3O8显示文摘We report the crystal structures and physical properties of trilayer nickelates Nd4Ni3O10and Nd4Ni3O8.Measurements of magnetization and electrical resistivity display contrasting behaviors in the two compounds.Nd4Ni3O10shows a paramagnetic metallic behavior with a metal-to-metal phase transition(T^*)at about 162 K,as revealed by both magnetic susceptibility and resistivity.Further magnetoresistance and Hall coefficient results show a negative magnetoresistance at low temperatures and the carrier type of Nd4Ni3O10is dominated by hole-type charge carriers.The significant enhancement of Hall coefficient and resistivity below T*suggests that effective charge carrier density decreases when cooling through the transition temperature.In contrast,Nd4Ni3O8 shows an insulating behavior.In addition,this compound shows a paramagnetic behavior with the similar magnetic moment as that of Nd4Ni3O10derived from the Curie-Weiss fitting.This may suggest that the magnetic moments in both systems are contributed by Nd^3+ ions.By applying pressures up to about 49 GPa,the insulating behavior is still present and becomes even stronger under a high pressure.Our results suggest that the different Ni configurations(Ni^1+/2+ or Ni^2+/3+)and the changes of coordination environment of Ni sites may account for the contrasting behaviors in trilayer nickelates Nd4Ni3O10and Nd4Ni3O8.Qing Li ChengPing He XiYu Zhu Jin Si XinWei Fan Hai-Hu Wen 2021Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,2:2

10Numerical Simulation of the Solitary Wave Interacting with an Elastic Structure Using MPS-FEM Coupled Method显示文摘Fluid-Structure Interaction(FSI) caused by fluid impacting onto a flexible structure commonly occurs in naval architecture and ocean engineering. Research on the problem of wave-structure interaction is important to ensure the safety of offshore structures. This paper presents the Moving Particle Semi-implicit and Finite Element Coupled Method(MPS-FEM) to simulate FSI problems. The Moving Particle Semi-implicit(MPS) method is used to calculate the fluid domain, while the Finite Element Method(FEM) is used to address the structure domain. The scheme for the coupling of MPS and FEM is introduced first. Then, numerical validation and convergent study are performed to verify the accuracy of the solver for solitary wave generation and FSI problems.
