| 1 | Microarray microRNA profiling of urinary exosomes in a 5XFAD mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease显示文摘Background:Alzheimer's disease(AD)is an incurable and irreversible neurodegen-erative disease,without a clear pathogenesis.Therefore,identification of candidates before amyloid-βplaque(Aβ)deposition proceeds is of major significance for earlier intervention in AD.Methods:To explore the potential noninvasive earlier biomarkers of AD in a 5XFAD mouse model,microRNAs(miRNAs)from urinary exosomes in 1-month-old pre-Aβaccumulation 5XFAD mice models and their littermate controls were profiled by mi-croarray analysis.The differentially expressed miRNAs were further analyzed via droplet digital PCR(ddPCR).Results:Microarray analysis demonstrated that 48 differentially expressed miRNAs(18 upregulated and 30 downregulated),of which six miRNAs-miR-196b-5p,miR-339-3p,miR-34a-5p,miR-376b-3p,miR-677-5p,and miR-721-were predicted to display gene targets and important signaling pathways closely associated with AD pathogenesis and verified by ddPCR.Conclusions:Urinary exosomal miRNAs showing differences in expression prior to Aβ-plaque deposition were identified.These exosomal miRNAs represent potential noninvasive biomarkers that may be used to prevent AD in clinical applications. | Zhiqi Song Yajin Qu Yanfeng Xu Ling Zhang Li Zhou Yunlin Han Wenjie Zhao Pin Yu Yu Zhang Xianglei Li Chuan Qin | 2021 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2021,4,3: | 6 |
| 2 | Granular porous calcium carbonate particles for scalable and high-performance solar-driven thermochemical heat storage显示文摘Calcium carbonate is promising thermochemical heat storage material for next-generation solar power systems due to its high energy storage density,low cost,and high operation temperature.Researchers have tried to improve energy storage performances of calcium carbonate recently,but most researches focus on powders,which are not suitable for scalable applications.Here,novel granular porous calcium carbonate particles with very high solar absorptance,energy storage density,abrasive resistances,and energy storage rate are proposed for direct solar thermochemical heat storage.The average solar absorptance is improved by 234%compared with ordinary particles.Both cycle stability and abrasive resistances are excellent with almost no decay of energy storage density over 25 cycles nor apparent particle weight loss over 24 h of continuous operation insides a planetary ball mill.In addition,the decomposition temperature is reduced by 2.8%–5.6%while the reaction rate of heat storage is enhanced by 80%–205%depending on the CO_(2) partial pressure.The decomposition process of doped granular porous CaCO_(3) particles is found to involve three overlapping processes.This work provides new routes to achieve scalable direct solar thermochemical heat storage for next-generation high-temperature solar power systems. | SONG Chao LIU XiangLei XUAN YiMin ZHENG HangBin GAO Ke TENG Liang DA Yun LI Chuan LI YongLiang DING YuLong | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,10: | 4 |
| 3 | Theoretical analysis and development of a mechanism with punching device for transplanting potted vegetable seedlings显示文摘Several studies have indicated that potted vegetable seedling transplanting technology can greatly improve the ability of vegetable seedlings to resist cold,flood,drought,saline-alkali and pests.The existing transplanting equipment mostly adopts mechanical,electrical and hydraulic integration technologies with a complex structure and a high cost.To address the problems of the complex structure and low efficiency of existing transplanting equipment,a rotary transplanting mechanism for potted vegetable seedlings was developed through configuration analysis and optimization design.Through kinematic analysis of the transplanting mechanism,optimization design software was developed,and the parameters were optimized.A mechanism was developed for picking,transporting,hole punching and transplanting potted vegetable seedlings.The virtual simulation results showed that the maximum error of attitudes of the transplanting arm is less than 1.19°and that of the hole punching shovel is less than 1.7°.In this study,perforation,seedling harvesting and transplanting experiments were conducted through a bench test.The results showed that the specific trajectory and attitude of the potted vegetable seedlings transplanting mechanism conformed to the requirements of potted vegetable seedling transplantation and the success rate of seedling picking was 92.4%,which verified the correctness and feasibility of the rotary potted vegetable seedling transplanting mechanism. | Maile Zhou Yiyin Shan Xianglei Xue Daqing Yin | 2020 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,4: | 3 |

| 5 | Covert wireless communication using massive optical comb channels for deep denoising显示文摘Covert wireless communications are unprecedentedly vital for security and privacy of individuals,government,and military bodies.Besides encryption,hiding signal transmission deeply under noise background highly proliferates the covertness in the physical layer.A deep signal hiding leads to a low interception probability at the interceptor but a poor data recovery at the receiver.To ensure both high covertness and high-fidelity recovery,massive and dense optical comb channels are utilized for deep denoising through the analog spectrum convolution.Using an external modulation-based optical frequency comb(OFC)and a single detection branch,the available optical comb channels can sustainably scale up by breaking or greatly mitigating physical bottlenecks on immense hardware and spectrum requirements.Thus,a striking signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)rise can be achieved for deep denoising.Combination of 1024 comb channels(the first parallel comb channel number beyond 1000)and the analog spectrum convolution enable a record SNR enhancement of 29 dB for a microwave signal with a 10.24 GHz bandwidth and a 10 Mbit/s data rate,which is deeply hidden below the in-band noises by 18 dB or even 30 dB in both the frequency and time domains.This method opens a new avenue for covert communications. | XIANGLEI YAN XIHUA ZOU PEIXUAN LI WEI PAN LIANSHAN YAN | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,6: | 3 |
| 6 | The influence of pore size distribution on thermal conductivity,permeability, and phase change behavior of hierarchical porous materials显示文摘Porous foams have been widely employed to improve heat storage rate and prevent leakage of phase change materials(PCMs).Actual porous foams have non-uniform or hierarchical pore size distribution, which is usually neglected in most researches.Here, we establish hierarchical porous models considering different pore size distributions by using Voronoi tessellations. Effects of pore size distribution on thermal conductivity, permeability, and phase change behavior of hierarchical porous foams/PCMs composites are investigated. Uneven pore size distributions are found to decrease the thermal conductivity of porous foams to some extent. On the other hand, the permeability can be reduced by 27.6%, and the heat storage rate can be improved by 7.7% by introducing moderate hierarchy without changing the total porosity. | 7 | Structural characterizations of protonated homodimers of amino acids:Revealed by infrared multiple photon dissociation(IRMPD) spectroscopy and theoretical calculations显示文摘Infrared multiple photon dissociation(IRMPD) spectroscopic and theoretical studies of protonated homodimers of amino acids generated by electrospray ionization in the gas phase have been reviewed.Results show that proton affinity(PA) may be applied as a probe to predict their structural type: saltbridged or charge-solvated. Proline can be viewed as a reference. For an amino acid with a PA value higher than that of proline, the most stable conformation of its protonated homodimer tends to prefer saltbridged conformation; otherwise, charge-solvated conformation is expected to be the most stable.However, side chain effects may cause the inaccuracy in structural determination due to the strong interactions with the charge, which makes the charge-solvated structure more stable even for species with high PA values. Temperature effect on distribution of different isomers is also very important. In lots of cases, the coexistence of multiple isomers is general, which makes the explanation of an overall IRMPD spectrum difficult. | 8 | Anisotropic lattice Boltzmann-phase-field modeling of crystal growth with melt convection induced by solid-liquid density change显示文摘Density change is ubiquitous in phase transformation, and it can induce melt convection which strongly influences the crystal growth. Here, an anisotropic lattice Boltzmann-phase-field method was extended to predict the dendritic growth under the shrinkage or expansion melt convection by density change induced. A novel LB equation with an anisotropic coefficient was constructed to model the advancement of ordering parameter, coupling with the passive scalar LB equation for convective and diffusive heat transfer during phase transition. We studied dendritic growth and shape selection with melt convection induced by density change in crystal growth. Results show that the melt convection induced by density change affects strongly the dendritic growth. The shrinkage flow results in a higher tip velocity while the expansion flow leads to a slower one. Predicted Péclet number with respect to the relative density change was compared with an analytical solution. | 9 | Rapid screening detection of fluoroquinolone residues in milk based on turn-on fluorescence of terbium coordination polymer nanosheets显示文摘We report a facile, effective and rapid screening method for the determination of total fluoroquinolones(FQs) in milk using lanthanide coordination polymer nanomaterials as the sensing platform. The nonluminescent coordination polymer nanosheets(CPNSs) used in this work are composed of adenosine monophosphate(AMP) and terbium(Tb^(3+)) ions(AMP/Tb CPNSs). The as-prepared CPNSs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and fluorescence techniques. Tb^(3+) acts as the center ion of the coordination polymer, with AMP assembled through phosphate and amine groups. However, the reaction between FQs and AMP/Tb CPNSs noticeably turns on the fluorescence due to the strong coordination interaction between FQs and Tb^(3+). Under optimized conditions, the fluorescence intensity of AMP/Tb at 545 nm shows a linear relationship with FQ concentrations between 0.04 μmol/L and 5.0 μmol/L. The relative standard deviation(RSD) of the intraday precision is below 1%, and detection limits are as low as 0.01 μmol/L. | 10 | An oncolytic adenovirus delivering TSLC1 inhibits Wnt signaling pathway and tumor growth in SMMC-7721 xenograft mice model显示文摘Tumor suppressor in lung cancer-1(TSLC1)was first identified as a tumor suppressor for lung cancer,and frequently downregulated in various types of cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).The Wnt pathway plays a critical role in tumorigenesis,migration,and invasion in HCC.However,the function of TSLC1 in modulating Wnt signaling in HCC is unclear.In this study,we evaluated the effect of TSLC1-armed oncolytic adenovirus(S24-TSLC1)on the Wnt/β-catenin pathway,cell viability,invasion and migration abilities of HCC in vitro and the growth of SMMC-7721-xenografted tumor in mice model.We detected the expression of TSLC1 in tumor samples and HCC cell lines.The results showed that TSLC1 expression was low in HCC,but high in pericarcinomatous tissue and normal cells,which implied that TSLC1 is a tumor suppressor of liver cancer.S24-TSLC1 exhibited an antitumor effect on HCC cell growth in vitro,but did little damage to normal liver cells.Overexpression of TSLC1 downregulated the transcriptional activity of TCF4/β-catenin and inhibited the mRNA or protein expression of Wnt target genes cyclinD1 and c-myc.S24-TSLC1 also inhibited the invasion and migration of HCC cells.Animal experiments further confirmed that S24-TSLC1 significantly inhibited tumor growth of the SMMC-7721-xenografted tumor.In conclusion,TSLC1 could downregulate the Wnt signal pathway and suppress HCC cell growth,migration and invasion,suggesting that S24-TSLC1 may be a potent antitumor agent for future clinical trials in liver cancer treatment. | Yigang Wang Panpan Huang Yanping Hu Keni Guo Xiaoyuan Jia Biao Huang Xinyuan Liu Xianglei He Fang Huang | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,6: | 2 |

| 12 | Influence of berberine on protein tyrosine kinase of erythrocyte insulin receptors from type 2 diabetes mellitus显示文摘Objective: Bererine has been used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in Chinese traditional medicine because of its hypoglycemic effect. In this report, we compared the intrinsic tyrosine kinase activities of erythrocyte insulin receptors from type 2 diabetes mellitus with or without stimulation by berberinein vitro. Methods: Preparations containing insulin receptors were obtained from soluble human erythrocytes, and the insulin receptors were partially purified by affinity chromatography. The tyrosine kinase activity was measured by the exogenous substrate phosphorylation. Results: Both the membrane tyrosine kinase activity and the purified receptor tyrosine kinase activity from diabetics decreased significantly compared with those of normal individuals (reduced by 67.4% and 47.2%, respectively). After incubation with berberine, there is a statistical difference in the activity of membrane tyrosine kinase for diabetic patients (a 150% increase). Bererine had no effect on the tyrosine kinase activity of purified insulin receptors.
