| 2 | Synthesis and Application of Sodium-carboxymethylcellulose Type Superplasticizer in Cement Mortars显示文摘The polymeric admixture, the sodium-carboxymethylcellulose(CMC)/poly sodium p-styrene sulfonate(PSS)/poly vinyl acetate(PVAc) was synthesized and applied in cement mortars. The polymer was tested by FTIR and SEM, and the results indicate that the ideal molecular structure is synthesized. The effect of addition amount of polymeric admixture and water-to-cement ratio on mechanical properties of cement mortars was studied. The polymer-modified mortars under the optimum water cement ratio and optimum polymer cement ratio, the flexural strength of polymer-modified mortars are 1.45, 1.21, and 1.17 times higher than the plain cement mortar at age of 3, 7, and 28 d, respectively.The compressive strength of polymer-modified mortars at age of 3, 7, and 28 d are 1.55, 1.40, and 1.2941 times higher than that of the plain cement mortar,respectively. Scanning electron microscope(SEM), FTIR and TG were used to analyze the effect of polymer emulsion on cement hydration reaction. | 4 | Insights into the Reaction Network and Mechanism of Green Aerobic Oxidative Esterification of Methacrolein over Different Heterogeneous Catalysts显示文摘The oxidative esterification of methacrolein(MAL)is an important way to prepare high-valued methyl methacrylate(MMA),but this process is ultra-complex due to the high reactivity of both C=O and C=C bonds in MAL molecule.In order to further improve MMA selectivity,the reaction network and relevant mechanisms have been proposed and profoundly investigated in this paper.Five kinds of fundamental reactions are involved in this process,including(a)the acetal reaction;(b)the aerobic oxidation of hemiacetal;(c)the alkoxylation of C=C double bond;(d)the Diels-Alder reaction;and(e)the hydrogenation reaction of unsaturated double bond.Among them,the Diels-Alder reaction of MAL is non-catalyzed,and the Brönsted acid sites or the Lewis acid sites favor promoting acetal reaction of MAL with methanol,while the alkoxylation of C=C bond with methanol is enhanced under alkaline condition.In particular,by employing the Pd-based catalysts,hydrogenation products are formed in alkaline methanol solution,hence with lower than those obtained by the Au-based catalysts.Notably,it is necessary to match the hemiacetal fromation and aerobic oxidation of hemiacetal,which is relevant with the amount and strength of acid and redox sites.Consequently,this work can provide a good guidance for the further design of both catalysts and processes in future. | Li Chenhao Xia Changjiu Liu Yujia Huang Kaimeng Peng Xinxin Liu Jinsheng Lin Min Zhu Bin Luo Yibin Shu Xingtian | 2021 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2021,23,3: | 1 |
| 5 | The Study on Bamboo Microfibers Isolated by Steam Explosion and Their Comprehensive Properties显示文摘To overcome the shortage of wood resources as well as to develop novel natural fibers materials,the Chimonobambusa quadrangularis(CQ)and Qiongzhuea tumidinoda(QT)planted in Southwest China were effectively isolated by the steam explosion(SE).The fine and uniform bamboo microfibers derived from CQ and QT were obtained,and their smallest average widths were 12.62μm and 16.05μm,respectively.The effects of steam explosion on the micro-morphology,chemical composition,thermal stability,crystallinity,surface wettability,and mechanical properties of bamboo microfibers were comprehensively investigated.The results showed that the relative content of cellulose in bamboo microfibers increased but the hemicellulose and lignin contents decreased after SE.The degrees of crystallinity for CQ and QT increased from 40.49%and 39.46%to 68.90%and 55.78%,respectively.The thermal stability and surface hydrophilicity were also improved.The CQ microfibers had a maximum decomposition temperature of 2.79°C,a tensile strength of 58.54 MPa,an elongation at break of 0.6%,and a water contact angle of 2.7°higher than those of the QT microfibers. | Qiushi Li Ronggang Luo Yu Chen Jinhui Xiong Bei Qiao Xijuan Chai Linkun Xie Juan Wang Lianpeng Zhang Siqun Wang Guanben Du Kaimeng Xu | 2023 | Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,6: | 0 |
| 6 | Canonical and early lineage-specific stem cell types identified in planarian SirNeoblasts显示文摘Background:The pluripotent stem cells in planarians,a model for tissue and cellular regeneration,remain further identification.We recently developed a method to enrich piwi-1+cells in Schmidtea mediterranea,by staining cells with SiR-DNA and Cell Tracker Green,named SirNeoblasts that permits their propagation and subsequent functional study in vivo.Since traditional enrichment for planarian neoblasts by Hoechst 33342 staining generates X1 cells,blocking the cell cycle and inducing cytotoxicity,this method by SiR-DNA and Cell Tracker Green represents a complementary technological advance for functional investigation of cell fate and regeneration.However,the similarities in heterogeneity of cell subtypes between SirNeoblasts and X1 remain unknown.Results:In this work,we performed single cell RNA sequencing of SirNeoblasts for comparison with differential expression patterns in a publicly available X1 single cell RNA sequencing data.We found first that all of the lineagespecific progenitor cells in X1 were present in comparable proportions in SirNeoblasts.In addition,SirNeoblasts contain an early muscle progenitor that is unreported in X1.Analysis of new markers for putative pluripotent stem cells identified here,with subsequent sub-clustering analysis,revealed earlier lineages of epidermal,muscular,intestinal,and pharyngeal progenitors than have been observed in X1.Using the gcm as a marker,we also identified a cell subpopulation resided in previously identified tgs-1+neoblasts.Knockdown of gcm impaired the neoblast repopulation,suggesting a function of gcm in neoblasts.Conclusions:In summary,the use of SirNeoblasts will enable broad experimental advances in regeneration and cell fate specification,given the possibility for propagation and transplantation of recombinant and mutagenized pluripotent stem cells that are not previously afforded to this rapid and versatile model system. | Kaimeng Niu Hao Xu Yuanyi Zhou Xiong Yun Zhao Chong Gao Chris WSeidel Xue Pan Yuqing Ying Kai Lei | 2021 | Cell Regeneration2021,10,1: | 0 |

| 8 | Longitudinal connection effect on initial support steel frames in tunnels--Take the traffic tunnels as examples显示文摘Most tunnel projects are designed with cross-sectional loads,and the inhomogeneity of the longitudinal forces is ignored.In theory,such a support structure can resist large loads,but in practice,large deformation,concrete cracking,steel frame distortion,and other phenomena often occur in tunnels under poor surrounding rock conditions.Hence,the longitudinal stability of the tunnel must be considered.In this study,the mechanism of longitudinal connecting ribs(LCRs)of tunnels was investigated through element tests,theoretical analyses,and numerical simulations,and the effect of the LCRs was evaluated experimentally.The applicability of the constitutive relations and boundary conditions of the numerical model was verified.The instability mode of the steel frame reflecting the longitudinal stress gradient of the tunnel was analyzed,and the longitudinal surrounding rock pressure and the verified numerical model were applied to analyze the LCR using the load structure method.The results indicate the following:(1)LCRs can effectively improve the ultimate bearing capacity and stability of a structure and reduce the area and degree of damage;(2)Two types of instability modes occur in tunnel steel frames,and the main factor is bending failure caused by the axial force;(3)The distance sensitivity of the LCR in the tunnel is higher than the stiffness sensitivity.For large deformations of tunnels,double rows of rebars with a spacing of less than 1.5 m should be used as longitudinal connections. | Kaimeng Ma Jichun Zhang Junru Zhang Zhiyong Wang Jimeng Feng | 2022 | Underground Space2022,7,4: | 0 |
| 9 | Combining flamelet-generated manifold and machine learning models in simulation of a non-premixed diffusion flame显示文摘Flamelet Generated Manifold(FGM)is an example of a chemistry tabulation or a flamelet method that is under attention because of its accuracy and speed in predicting combustion characteristics.However,the main problem in applying the model is a large amount of memory required.One way to solve this problem is to apply machine learning(ML)to replace the stored tabulated data.Four different machine learning methods,including two Artificial Neural Networks(ANNs),a Random Forest(RF),and a Gradient Boosted Trees(GBT),are trained,validated,and compared in terms of various performance measures.The progress variable source term and transport properties are replaced with the ML models.Particular attention was paid to the progress variable source term due to its high gradient and wide range of its value in the control variables space.Data preprocessing is shown to play an essential role in improving the performance of the models.Two ensemble models,namely RF and GBT,exhibit high training efficiency and acceptable accuracy.On the other hand,the ANN models have lower training errors and take longer to train.The four models are then combined with a one-dimensional combustion code to simulate a counterflow non-premixed diffusion flame in engine-relevant conditions.The predictions of the ML-FGM models are compared with detailed chemical simulations and the original FGM model for key combustion properties and representative species profiles. | Kaimeng Li Pourya Rahnama Ricardo Novella Bart Somers | 2023 | Energy and AI2023,14,4: | 0 |
