1Resveratrol induces AMPK and mTOR signaling inhibition-mediated autophagy and apoptosis in multiple myeloma cells显示文摘Resveratrol,a natural compound extracted from the skins of grapes,berries,or other fruits,has been shown to have anti-tumor effects against multiple myeloma(MM)via promoting apoptosis and inhibiting cell viability.In addition to apoptosis,autophagy also plays a significant role in anti-tumor effects.However,whether autophagy is involved in anti-MM activity of resveratrol remains unclear.In this study,human MM cell lines U266,RPMI-8226,and NCI-H929 were treated with resveratrol.Cell Counting Kit-8 assay and colony formation assay were used to measure cell viability.Western blot analysis was used to detect apoptosis-and autophagy-associated proteins.3-Methyladenine(3-MA)was applied to inhibit autophagy.Results showed that resveratrol inhibited cell viability and colony formation via promoting apoptosis and autophagy in MM cell lines U266,RPMI-8226,and NCI-H929.Resveratrol promoted apoptosis-related proteins,Caspase-3 activating poly-ADP-ribose polymerase and Caspase-3 cleavage,and decreased the protein level of Survivin in a dose-dependent manner.Additionally,resveratrol upregulated the levels of LC3 and Beclin1 in a dose-dependent way,indicating that autophagy might be implicated in anti-MM effect of resveratrol.Furthermore,3-MA relieved the cytotoxicity of resveratrol by blocking the autophagic flux.Resveratrol increased the phosphorylation of adenosine monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase and decreased the phosphorylation of mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)and its downstream substrates p70S6K and 4EBP1 in a dose-dependent manner,leading to autophagy.Therefore,our results suggest that resveratrol exerts anti-MM effects through apoptosis and autophagy,which can be used as a new therapeutic strategy for MM in clinic.Ruye Ma Dandan Yu Yu Peng Hongfei Yi Yingcong Wang Taofang Cheng Bingqing Shi Guang Yang Weiming Lai Xiaosong Wu Ye Lu Jumei Shi 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,6:7
2Cancer metabolism and tumor microenvironment:fostering each other?显示文摘The changes associated with malignancy are not only in cancer cells but also in environment in which cancer cells live.Metabolic reprogramming supports tumor cells’high demand of biogenesis for their rapid proliferation,and helps tumor cells to survive under certain genetic or environmental stresses.Emerging evidence suggests that metabolic alteration is ultimately and tightly associated with genetic changes,in particular the dysregulation of key oncogenic and tumor suppressive signaling pathways.Cancer cells activate HIF signaling even in the presence of oxygen and in the absence of growth factor stimulation.This cancer metabolic phenotype,described firstly by German physiologist Otto Warburg,ensures enhanced glycolytic metabolism for the biosynthesis of macromolecules.The conception of metabolite signaling,i.e.,metabolites are regulators of cell signaling,provides novel insights into how reactive oxygen species(ROS)and other metabolites deregulation may regulate redox homeostasis,epigenetics,and proliferation of cancer cells.Moreover,the unveiling of noncanonical functions of metabolic enzymes,such as the moonlighting functions of phosphoglycerate kinase 1(PGK1),reassures the importance of metabolism in cancer development.The metabolic,microRNAs,and ncRNAs alterations in cancer cells can be sorted and delivered either to intercellular matrix or to cancer adjacent cells to shape cancer microenvironment via media such as exosome.Among them,cancer microenvironmental cells are immune cells which exert profound effects on cancer cells.Understanding of all these processes is a prerequisite for the development of a more effective strategy to contain cancers.Yiyuan Yuan Huimin Li Wang Pu Leilei Chen Dong Guo Hongfei Jiang Bo He Siyuan Qin Kui Wang Na Li Jingwei Feng Jing Wen Shipeng Cheng Yaguang Zhang Weiwei Yang Dan Ye Zhimin Lu Canhua Huang Jun Mei Hua-Feng Zhang Ping Gao Peng Jiang Shicheng Su Bing Sun Shi-Min Zhao 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,2:5
3Ultra-broadband reflector using double-layer subwavelength gratings显示文摘Double-layer high-contrast subwavelength gratings that are separated by a dielectric space layer are investigated to achieve ultra-broadband reflection.The reflection phase of subwavelength gratings and the propagation phase shift between two gratings are manipulated to expand reflection bandwidth by properly stacking two reflective gratings.A reflector exhibiting a 99%reflectance bandwidth of^1080 nm in the near-infrared is designed.Then this reflector is prepared using laser interference lithography and ion beam planarization,and an ultra-broadband reflection is achieved with reflectance exceeding 97%over a wavelength range of 955 nm in the near-infrared region.JINLONG ZHANG SHUAIKAI SHI HONGFEI JIAO XIAOCHUAN JI ZHANSHAN WANG XINBIN CHENG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,3:4
4Recent advances in bismuth vanadate-based photocatalysts for photoelectrochemical water splitting显示文摘Photoelectrochemical(PEC)technology is considered to be a promising approach for solar-driven hydrogen production with zero emissions.Bismuth vanadate(BiVO_(4))is a kind of photocatalytic material with strong photoactivity in the visible light region and appropriate band gap for PEC water splitting.However,the solar-to-hydrogen efficiency(STH)of BiVO_(4)is far away from the 10%target needed for practical application due to its poor charge separation ability.Therefore,this review attempts to summarize the strategies for improving the photocurrent density and especially hydrogen production of BiVO_(4)materials through PEC techniques in the last three years,such as doping nonmetal and metal elements,depositing noble metals,constructing heterojunctions,coupling with carbon and metalorganic framework(MOF)materials to further enhance the PEC performance of BiVO_(4)photoanode.This review aims to serve as a general guideline to fabricate highly efficient BiVO_(4)-based materials for PEC water splitting.Lina Wang Xiaoqiang Shi Yuefa Jia Hongfei Cheng Lei Wang Qizhao Wang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,6:4
5Synthesis of MoX2 (X =Se or S) monolayers with high-concentration 1T'phase on 4H/fcc-Au nanorods for hydrogen evolution显示文摘Controlled synthesis of transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) monolayers with unusual crystal phases has attracted increasing attention due to their promising applications in electrocatalysis.However,the facile and large-scale preparation of TMD monolayers with high-concentration unusual crystal phase still remains a challenge.Herein,we report the synthesis of MoX2 (X =Se or S) monolayers with high-concentration semimetallic 1T'phase by using the 4H/face-centered cubic (fcc)-Au nanorod as template to form the 4H/fcc-Au@MoX2 nanocomposite.The concentrations of 1T'phase in the prepared MoSe2 and MoS2 monolayers are up to 86% and 81%,respectively.As a proof-of-concept application,the obtained Au@MoS2 nanocomposite is used for the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in acid medium,exhibiting excellent performance with a low overpotential of 178 mV at the current density of 10 mNcm^2,a small Tafel slope of 43.3 mV/dec,and excellent HER stability.This work paves a way for direct synthesis of TMD monolayers with high-concentration of unusual crystal phase for the electrocatalytic application.Zhengqing Liu Xiao Zhang Yue Gong Qipeng Lu Zhicheng Zhang Hongfei Cheng Qinglang Ma Junze Chen Meiting Zhao Bo Chen Ye Chen Xue-Jun Wu Pengfei Yin Lin Gu Yaping Du Hua Zhang 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:3
6Ganoderma lucidum spore oil(GLSO),a novel antioxidant,extends the average life span in Drosophila melanogaster显示文摘In ancient China,Ganoderma lucidum was believed to be a medical fungus that could increase lifespan.Recently,pharmacologic studies have found that polysaccharide peptides and triterpenoids extracted from Ganoderma lucidum have various physiological effects as active compounds.However,the effects of spore oil isolated from Ganoderma lucidum remains unknown.In this study,the biological effects of Ganoderma lucidum spore oil(GLSO)were evaluated using a Drosophila melanogaster model.Compared with untreated groups,groups treated with GLSO had significantly longer average and maximum lifespan in both normal conditions and under oxidative stress.The activities of various antioxidant enzymes were measured to determine the antioxidant effect of GLSO.GLSO treatment markedly enhanced total superoxide dismutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT)activity and decreased levels of malondialdehyde(MDA).Further,we found dose-dependent increases in the mRNA expression of Cu,Zn-SOD,Mn-SOD,and CAT in GLSO-treated groups.These results suggest that GLSO may effectively eliminate free radicals and extend lifespan in Drosophila.Future work should investigate the value of GLSO as a functional food for the prevention of aging in larger animal models.Yi Zhang Hongfei Cai Zhu Tao Cheng Yuan Zhaojian Jiang Juyan Liu Hiroshi Kurihara Wendong Xu 2021Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,1:3
7Recent advances in kaolinite-based material for photocatalysts显示文摘The composite catalytic materials based on the mineral kaolinite are considered to be a potential approach for solving global energy scarcity and environmental pollution,which have excellent catalytic performance,low cost and excellent chemical stability.However,pure kaolinite does not have visible light absorption ability and cannot be used as a potential photocatalytic material.Fortunately,the unique physical and chemical properties of kaolinite can be acted as a good semiconductor carrier.Herein,this paper firstly presents the mineralogical characteristics of kaolinite.Next,kaolinite-based photocatalysts(such as TiO_(2)/kaolinite,g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite,g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)/kaolinite,Zn O)are discussed in detail from the formation of heterostructures,synthesis-modification methods,photocatalytic mechanisms,and electron transfer pathways.Furthermore,the specific role of kaolinite in photocatalytic materials is summarized and discussed.In addition,the photocatalytic applications of kaolinite-based photocatalysts in the fields of water decomposition,pollutant degradation,bacterial disinfection are reviewed.However,the modification of kaolinite is hard,the manufacture of a large number of kaolinite-based photocatalysts is difficult,the cost of doping noble metals is expensive,and the utilization rate of visible light is low,which limits its application in industrial practice.Finally,this paper presents some perspectives on the future development of kaolinite-based photocatalysts.Zhou Cao Qizhao Wang Hongfei Cheng 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,9:3
8下腔静脉造影在肾癌合并下腔静脉瘤栓诊治中的作用研究显示文摘目的:探讨下腔静脉造影在肾癌合并下腔静脉瘤栓诊治中的作用。方法:回顾性分析2017年1~7月诊断为肾癌合并下腔静脉瘤栓的9例患者临床资料。患者术前行下腔静脉造影,明确瘤栓的阻塞部位、程度、长度及静脉侧支循环建立情况。7例行机器人辅助腹腔镜肾根治性切除+下腔静脉取栓术,2例行开放肾根治性切除+下腔静脉瘤栓切除术。结果:9例患者术前均顺利进行局麻下下腔静脉造影检查,无瘤栓脱落等造影并发症发生。根据下腔静脉造影结果决定术中是否行下腔静脉离断,明确术中阻断平面及是否需要侧支血管阻断。所有患者均顺利完成手术,平均手术时间为(335.6±94.1)min,术中出血(2 200±2 089ml,平均术后住院(18.8±5.9)d,2例出现术后并发症,经相应处理后均好转出院。术后随访期间无死亡病例。结论:下腔静脉造影可明确肾癌患者下腔静脉瘤栓的部位、长度及下腔静脉的管腔堵塞情况,掌握静脉侧支循环建立情况,能有效、安全地指导手术策略的制定。其有效性和安全性还需要长期随访和进一步评估。沈诞 常骁 杜松良 刘凤永 李宏召 王保军 史涛坪 朱捷 黄庆波 王忠新 贾卓敏 张鹏 吕香君 范阳 高宇 彭程 李世超 刘侃 张旭 马鑫 Cheng Qiang Pei Hongfei 2018微创泌尿外科杂志2018,7,2:2

12A General Method for the Synthesis of Hybrid Nanostructures Using MoSe_(2) Nanosheet-Assembled Nanospheres as Templates显示文摘The layered transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)and transition metal phosphides are low-cost,earth-abundant,and robust electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Integrating them into hybrid nanostructures is potentially promising to further boost the catalytic activity toward HER based on their synergistic effects.Herein,we report a general method for the synthesis of a series of MoSe_(2)-based hybrid nanostructures,including MoSe_(2)-Ni_(2)P,MoSe_(2)-Co_(2)P,MoSe_(2)-Ni,MoSe_(2)-Co,and MoSe_(2)-NiS,by postgrowth of Ni_(2)P,Co_(2)P,Ni,Co,and NiS nanostructures on the presynthesized MoSe_(2) nanosheet-assembled nanospheres,respectively,via a colloidal synthesis method.As a proof-of-concept application,the as-synthesized hybrid nanostructures are used as electrocatalysts for HER,exhibiting high activity and stability in acidic media.Among them,the MoSe_(2)-Co_(2)P composite shows the highest HER activity with an overpotential of 167 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2).Shikui Han Kai Zhou Yifu Yu Chaoliang Tan Junze Chen Ying Huang Qinglang Ma Ye Chen Hongfei Cheng Weijia Zhou Hua Zhang 2019Research2019,,1:1
