| 1 | The second natural gas hydrate production test in the South China Sea显示文摘Clayey silt reservoirs bearing natural gas hydrates(NGH)are considered to be the hydrate-bearing reservoirs that boast the highest reserves but tend to be the most difficult to exploit.They are proved to be exploitable by the first NGH production test conducted in the South China Sea in 2017.Based on the understanding of the first production test,the China Geological Survey determined the optimal target NGH reservoirs for production test and conducted a detailed assessment,numerical and experimental simulation,and onshore testing of the reservoirs.After that,it conducted the second offshore NGH production test in 1225 m deep Shenhu Area,South China Sea(also referred to as the second production test)from October 2019 to April 2020.During the second production test,a series of technical challenges of drilling horizontal wells in shallow soft strata in deep sea were met,including wellhead stability,directional drilling of a horizontal well,reservoir stimulation and sand control,and accurate depressurization.As a result,30 days of continuous gas production was achieved,with a cumulative gas production of 86.14×104 m3.Thus,the average daily gas production is 2.87×10^4 m^3,which is 5.57 times as much as that obtained in the first production test.Therefore,both the cumulative gas production and the daily gas production were highly improved compared to the first production test.As indicated by the monitoring results of the second production test,there was no anomaly in methane content in the seafloor,seawater,and atmosphere throughout the whole production test.This successful production test further indicates that safe and effective NGH exploitation is feasible in clayey silt NGH reservoirs.The industrialization of hydrates consists of five stages in general,namely theoretical research and simulation experiments,exploratory production test,experimental production test,productive production test,and commercial production.The second production test serves as an important step from the exploratory production test to experimental production test. | Jian-liang Ye Xu-wen Qin Wen-wei Xie Hai-long Lu Bao-jin Ma Hai-jun Qiu Jin-qiang Liang Jing-an Lu Zeng-gui Kuang Cheng Lu Qian-yong Liang Shi-peng Wei Yan-jiang Yu Chunsheng Liu Bin Li Kai-xiang Shen Hao-xian Shi Qiu-ping Lu Jing Li Bei-bei Kou Gang Song Bo Li He-en Zhang Hong-feng Lu Chao Ma Yi-fei Dong Hang Bian | 2020 | China Geology2020,3,2: | 22 |
| 2 | Isolation and characterization of dengue virus serotype 2 from the large dengue outbreak in Guangdong, China in 2014显示文摘Dengue has been well recognized as a global public health threat,but only sporadic epidemics and imported cases were reported in recent decades in China.Since July 2014,an unexpected large dengue outbreak has occurred in Guangdong province,China,resulting in more than 40000 patients including six deaths.To clarify and characterize the causative agent of this outbreak,the acute phase serum from a patient diagnosed with severe dengue was subjected to virus isolation and high-throughput sequencing(HTS).Traditional real-time RT-PCR and HTS with Ion Torrent PGM detected the presence of dengue virus serotype 2(DENV-2).A clinical DENV-2 isolate GZ05/2014 was obtained by culturing the patient serum in mosquito C6/36 cells.The complete genome of GZ05/2014 was determined and deposited in Gen Bank under the access number KP012546.Phylogenetic analysis based on the complete envelope gene showed that the newly DENV-2 isolate belonged to Cosmopolitan genotype and clustered closely with other Guangdong strains isolated in the past decade.No amino acid mutations that are obviously known to increase virulence or replication were identified throughout the genome of GZ05/2014.The high homology of Guangdong DENV-2 strains indicated the possibility of establishment of local DENV-2 circulation in Guangdong,China.These results help clarify the origin of this epidemic and predict the future status of dengue in China. | ZHAO Hui ZHAO Ling Zhai JIANG Tao LI Xiao Feng FAN Hang HONG Wen Xin ZHANG Yu ZHU Qin YE Qing TONG Yi Gang CAO Wu Chun ZHANG Fu Chun QIN Cheng Feng | 2014 | Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,12: | 21 |

| 5 | Dynamic changes of microbial community diversity in a photohydrogen producing reactor monitored by PCR-DGGE显示文摘A PCR-DGGE (denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis of polymerase chain reaction) protocol was used for monitoring the dynamic changes in the microbial population during photohydrogen production. Total DNA was extracted directly from the mixed bacterial community in the reactor and subjected to PCR with V3-16S rDNA and pufM gene primers, and the amplifications were then analyzed by DGGE. The DGGE patterns demonstrated the dynamics of community structure and the shift of microbial diversity, which corresponded to different running periods of the reactor. The optimal hydrogen producing community formed on day 10. Using DGGE analysis with the pufM gene fragments was superior to V3-16S rDNA region genes for detecting the dynamic variations of the photosynthetic bacteria population during hydrogen production. The comparative sequence analysis of excised DGGE bands showed the relationship between specific population structures and system performance. Rhodopseudomonas palustris was presumed as one of the dominant community members for hydrogen production in the reactor. | 8 | Daytime HONO formation in the suburban area of the megacity Beijing, China显示文摘Nitrous acid(HONO),as a primary precursor of OH radicals,has been considered one of the most important nitrogencontaining species in the atmosphere.Up to 30%of primary OH radical production is attributed to the photolysis of HONO.However,the major HONO formation mechanisms are still under discussion.During the Campaigns of Air Quality Research in Beijing and Surrounding Region(CAREBeijing2006)campaign,comprehensive measurements were carried out in the megacity Beijing,where the chemical budget of HONO was fully constrained.The average diurnal HONO concentration varied from 0.33 to 1.2 ppbv.The net OH production rate from HONO,POH(HONO)net,was on average(from 05:00 to 19:00)7.1×106 molecule/(cm3 s),2.7 times higher than from O3 photolysis.This production rate demonstrates the important role of HONO in the atmospheric chemistry of megacity Beijing.An unknown HONO source(Punknown)with an average of 7.3×106molecule/(cm3 s)was derived from the budget analysis during daytime.Punknown provided four times more HONO than the reaction of NO with OH did.The diurnal variation of Punknown showed an apparent photo-enhanced feature with a maximum around 12:00,which was consistent with previous studies at forest and rural sites.Laboratory studies proposed new mechanisms to recruit NO2 and J(NO2)in order to explain a photo-enhancement of of Punknown.In this study,these mechanisms were validated against the observation-constraint Punknown.The reaction of exited NO2 accounted for only 6%of Punknown,and Punknown poorly correlated with[NO2](R=0.26)and J(NO2)[NO2](R=0.35).These results challenged the role of NO2 as a major precursor of the missing HONO source. | YANG Qiang SU Hang LI Xin CHENG YaFang LU KeDing CHENG Peng GU JianWei GUO Song HU Min ZENG LiMin ZHU Tong ZHANG YuanHang | 2014 | Science China Chemistry2014,57,7: | 8 |

| 10 | Classification of the Gut Microbiota of Patients in Intensive Care Units During Development of Sepsis and Septic Shock显示文摘The gut microbiota of intensive care unit(ICU)patients displays extreme dysbiosis associated with increased susceptibility to organ failure,sepsis,and septic shock.However,such dysbiosis is difficult to characterize owing to the high dimensional complexity of the gut microbiota.We tested whether the concept of enterotype can be applied to the gut microbiota of ICU patients to describe the dysbiosis.We collected 131 fecal samples from 64 ICU patients diagnosed with sepsis or septic shock and performed 16S rRNA gene sequencing to dissect their gut microbiota compositions.During the development of sepsis or septic shock and during various medical treatments,the ICU patients always exhibited two dysbiotic microbiota patterns,or ICU-enterotypes,which could not be explained by host properties such as age,sex,and body mass index,or external stressors such as infection site and antibiotic use.ICU-enterotype I(ICU E1)comprised predominantly Bacteroides and an unclassified genus of Enterobacteriaceae,while ICU-enterotype II(ICU E2)comprised predominantly Enterococcus.Among more critically ill patients with Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II(APACHE II)scores>18,septic shock was more likely to occur with ICU E1(P=0.041).Additionally,ICU E1 was correlated with high serum lactate levels(P=0.007).Therefore,different patterns of dysbiosis were correlated with different clinical outcomes,suggesting that ICU-enterotypes should be diagnosed as independent clinical indices.Thus,the microbial-based human index classifier we propose is precise and effective for timely monitoring of ICU-enterotypes of individual patients.This work is a first step toward precision medicine for septic patients based on their gut microbiota profiles. | Wanglin Liu Mingyue Cheng Jinman Li Peng Zhang Hang Fan Qinghe Hu Maozhen Han Longxiang Su Huaiwu He Yigang Tong Kang Ning Yun Long | 2020 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,6: | 7 |

Here, we report a porous V2O5 nanofibers cathode with high Znstorage performance in an aqueous Zn(CF3SO3)2 electrolyte. We propose a reaction mechanism based on phase transition from orthorhombic V2O5 to zinc pyrovanadate on first discharging and reversible Zn^2+ (de)intercalation in the open-structured hosts during subsequent cycling. This open and stable architecture enables a high reversible capacity of 319 mAh g^-1 at 20 mAg^-1 and a capacity retention of 81% over 500 cycles. | 12 | Synthesis of fluorescent carbon quantum dots from aqua mesophase pitch and their photocatalytic degradation activity of organic dyes显示文摘A synthesis strategy of fluorescent carbon quantum dots(CQDs) with high quantum yield(QY) using aqua mesophase pitch(AMP) as the carbon source has been developed via the hydrothermal method in this study. The hydrothermal temperature and soaking time have important effects on the morphology and QY of CQDs. As-prepared CQDs at 120℃ holding for 24 h(CQDs-120-24) have the uniform size of about 2.8 nm, and the QY can reach 27.6%. The obtained CQDs are successfully modified with ammonia and thionyl chloride, respectively, and they exhibit an excellent photocatalytic performance on degrading rhodamine B(Rh B), methyl blue(MB) and indigo carmine(IC). Importantly, the degradation percentage of N-CQDs on Rh B under natural light for 4 h reaches 97% with the degradation rate constant of 0.02463 min^(-1) and it can maintain 93% after repetitively used 5 times. | 13 | Effects of angiopoietin-1 on attachment and metastasis of human gastric cancer cell line BGC-823显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the effects of angiopoietin-1(Ang-1) on adhesion of gastric cancer cell line BGC-823 and expression of integrinβ1,CD44V6,urokinase-type plasminogen activator(uPA)and matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2). METHODS:BGC-823 cells were transfected transiently with adenovirus-Ang-1(Ad-Ang-1).Cells transfected transiently with adenovirus-green fluorescent protein (Ad-GFP)and untransfected cells were used as a negative and blank control group,respectively.The cell adhesion rate between cell and extracellular matrix(ECM)was determined by cell adhesion assay. To investigate whether Ang-1 could reinforce gastric carcinoma metastasis,we performed migration and invasion assays in BGC-823 cells.The mRNA and protein expression of integrinβ1,CD44V6,uPA and MMP-2 were detected by reverse transcription polymerasechain reaction and Western blotting,respectively.The expression of integrinβ1 and CD44V6 was measured by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS:BGC-823 cells were transfected successfully. The adhesion rate increased significantly in the Ad- Ang-1 group(P<0.05).The Ad-Ang-1-transfected group had a significant increase in migration and invasion compared with that of the mock-transfected and Ad-GFP groups.The mRNA and protein expression of integrinβ1,CD44V6,uPA and MMP-2 in the Ad-Ang-1 group was higher than that in the Ad-GFP and blank control groups(P<0.05).Compared with mock- transfected and Ad-GFP groups,integrinβ1 and CD44V6 expression intensity greatly increased(P<0.05). | 14 | Activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases in satellite glial cells of the trigeminal ganglion contributes to substance P-mediated inflammatory pain显示文摘Inflammatory orofacial pain,in which substance P (SP) plays an important role,is closely related to the cross-talk between trigeminal ganglion (TG) neurons and satellite glial cells (SGCs).SGC activation is emerging as the key mechanism underlying inflammatory pain through different signalling mechanisms,including glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) activation,phosphorylation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signalling pathways,and cytokine upregulation.However,in the TG,the mechanism underlying SP-mediated orofacial pain generated by SGCs is largely unknown.In this study,we investigated whether SP is involved in inflammatory orofacial pain by upregulating interleukin (IL)-1β and tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α from SGCs,and we explored whether MAPK signalling pathways mediate the pain process.In the present study,complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA) was injected into the whisker pad of rats to induce an inflammatory model in vivo.SP was administered to SGC cultures in vitro to confirm the effect of SP.Facial expression analysis showed that pre-injection of L703,606 (an NK-1 receptor antagonist),U0126 (an inhibitor of MAPK/extracellular signal-regulated kinase [ERK] kinase [MEK] 1/2),and SB203580 (an inhibitor of P38) into the TG to induce targeted prevention of the activation of the NK-1 receptor and the phosphorylation of MAPKs significantly suppressed CFA-induced inflammatory allodynia.In addition,SP promoted SGC activation,which was proven by increased GFAP,p-MAPKs,IL-1β and TNF-α in SGCs under inflammatory conditions.Moreover,the increase in IL-1β and TNF-α was suppressed by L703,606,U0126 and SB203580 in vivo and in vitro.These present findings suggested that SP,released from TG neurons,activated SGCs through the ERK1/2 and P38 pathways and promoted the production of IL-1β and TNF-α from SGCs,contributing to inflammatory orofacial pain associated with peripheral sensitization. | Yanyan Zhang Ning Song Fei Liu Jiu Lin Mengke Liu Chaolan Huang Daqing Liao Cheng Zhou Hang Wang Jiefei Shen | 2019 | International Journal of Oral Science2019,11,3: | 6 |
| 15 | A surface parametric control and global optimization method for axial flow compressor blades显示文摘An aerodynamic optimization method for axial flow compressor blades available for engineering is developed in this paper. Bezier surface is adopted as parameterization method to control the suction surface of the blades, which brings the following advantages:(A) significantly reducing design variables;(B) easy to ensure the mechanical strength of rotating blades;(C) better physical understanding;(D) easy to achieve smooth surface. The Improved Artificial Bee Colony(IABC) algorithm, which significantly increases the convergence speed and global optimization ability, is adopted to find the optimal result. A new engineering optimization tool is constructed by combining the surface parametric control method, the IABC algorithm, with a verified Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) simulation method, and it has been successfully applied in the aerodynamic optimization for a single-row transonic rotor(Rotor 37) and a single-stage transonic axialflow compressor(Stage 35). | 16 | An online monitoring system for atmospheric nitrous acid(HONO) based on stripping coil and ion chromatography显示文摘A new instrument for measuring atmospheric nitrous acid(HONO) was developed,consisting of a double-wall glass stripping coil sampler coupled with ion chromatography(SC-IC).SC-IC is featured by small size(50 × 35 × 25 cm) and modular construction,including three independent parts:the sampling unit,the transfer and supporting unit,and the detection unit.High collection efficiency(> 99%) was achieved with 25 μmol/L Na2CO3 as absorption solution even in the presence of highly acidic compounds.This instrument has a detection limit of 8 pptv at 15 min time resolution,with a measurement uncertainty of 7%.Potential interferences from NOx,NO2+SO2,NO2+VOCs,HONO+O3,HNO3,peroxyacetyl nitrite(PAN) and particle nitrite were quantified in laboratory studies and were found to be insignificant under typical atmospheric conditions.Within the framework of the 3C-STAR project,inter-comparison between the SC-IC and LOPAP(long path liquid absorption photometer) was conducted at a rural site in the Pearl River Delta.Good agreement was achieved between the two instruments over three weeks.Both instruments determined a clear diurnal profile of ambient HONO concentrations from 0.1 to 2.5 ppbv.However,deviations were found for low ambient HONO concentrations(i.e.< 0.3 ppbv),which cannot be explained by previous investigated interference species.To accurately determine the HONO budget under illuminated conditions,more intercomparison of HONO measurement techniques is still needed in future studies,especially at low HONO concentrations. | Peng Cheng Yafang Cheng Keding Lu Hang Su Qiang Yang Yikan Zou Yanran Zhao Huabing Dong Limin Zeng Yuanhang Zhang | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,5: | 5 |
| 17 | Capillary blood flow in patients with dysmenorrhea treated with acupuncture显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe capillary blood flow at acupoints during acupuncture treatment of primary dysmenorrhea and gain new insights into its analgesic mechanism. METHODS: Patients with primary dysmenorrhea were enrolled and randomly assigned to a treatment or control group. Subjects' symptoms were differentiated into variousTraditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndromes and treated for 10 sessions with puncturing acupuncture or self-pressing right-hand Hegu(LI 4), adding other acupoints based on syndrome. Laser speckle was used to compare the change in the vasomotor amplitude and perfusion of the capillaries in Hegu(LI 4) before and during the treatment. Each subject was required to finish the period pain symptoms observation form, verbal rating scales, numerical rating scale, pain rating index, face rating scale, Zung self-rating depression scale, Zung self-rating anxiety scale, and numerical rating scale before and after treatments. RESULTS: After 10 sessions, the symptom scores, pain index(PI), and visual analog scale(VAS) decreased significantly in treatment group. The volume of blood flow in Hegu(LI 4) declined slightly. No significant evidence supported that needling caused capillary contraction, but the capillary vasomotor amplitude at Hegu(LI 4) increased remarkably. | 18 | Effects of Mg17Al12 second phase particles on twinning-induced recrystallization behavior in Mg–Al–Zn alloys during gradient hot rolling显示文摘This study aims to investigate the promotion effect of twinning-induced nucleation vs the inhibition effect of Mgi7Ali2 particles pinning for recrystallization, achieved through gradient rolling for Mg-3Al-lZn (AZ31) and Mg-9Al-lZn (AZ91) alloys as well as pure Mg. Through gradient rolling, a transition zone from the initial to deformed microstructure undergoing varying thickness reductions was obtained in the same sample, where the evolution of deformation twins and second phase can be examined precisely and continuously. During hot deformation, dynamic recrystallized (DRXed) grains tended to originate from {10 T 1 }-{10 T 2} double twins, whose nucleation was significantly restricted by increasing A1 content and hence recrystallization can be rarely triggered in AZ91 alloy. Concurrently, the size and volume fraction of Mgi7Ali2 particles changed via dissolution and re-precipitation, leading to finer average size and higher volume fraction, which produced stronger pinning effect and hindered dynamic recrystallization significantly. | 19 | Application of waste frying oils in the biosynthesis of biodemulsifier by a demulsifying strain Alcaligenes sp.S-XJ-1显示文摘Exploration of biodemulsifiers has become a new research aspect.Using waste frying oils(WFOs) as carbon source to synthesize biodemulsifiers has a potential prospect to decrease production cost and to improve the application of biodemulsifiers in the oilfield.In this study,a demulsifying strain,Alcaligenes sp.S-XJ-1,was investigated to synthesize a biodemulsifier using waste frying oils as carbon source.It was found that the increase of initial pH of culture medium could increase the biodemulsifier yield but decrease the demulsification ratio compared to that using paraffin as carbon source.In addition,a biodemulsifier produced by waste frying oils and paraffin as mixed carbon source had a lower demulsification capability compared with that produced by paraffin or waste frying oil as sole carbon source.Fed-batch fermentation of biodemulsifier using waste frying oils as supplementary carbon source was found to be a suitable method.Mechanism of waste frying oils utilization was studied by using tripalmitin,olein and tristearin as sole carbon sources to synthesize biodemulsifier.The results showed saturated long-chain fatty acid was diffcult for S-XJ-1 to utilize but could effectively enhance the demulsification ability of the produced biodemulsifier.Moreover,FT-IR result showed that the demulsification capability of biodemulsifiers was associated with the content of C=O group and nitrogen element. | Jia Liu Kaiming Peng Xiangfeng Huang Lijun Lu Hang Cheng Dianhai Yang Qi Zhou Huiping Deng | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,6: | 4 |
