Analysis of Thermoelastohydrodynamic Performance of Journal Misaligned Engine Main Bearings显示文摘To understand the engine main bearings' working condition is important in order to improve the performance of engine. However, thermal effects and thermal effect deformations of engine main bearings are rarely considered simultaneously in most studies. A typical finite element model is selected and the effect of thermoelastohydrodynamic(TEHD) reaction on engine main bearings is investigated. The calculated method of main bearing's thermal hydrodynamic reaction and journal misalignment effect is finite difference method, and its deformation reaction is calculated by using finite element method. The oil film pressure is solved numerically with Reynolds boundary conditions when various bearing characteristics are calculated. The whole model considers a temperature-pressure-viscosity relationship for the lubricant, surface roughness effect, and also an angular misalignment between the journal and the bearing. Numerical simulations of operation of a typical I6 diesel engine main bearing is conducted and importance of several contributing factors in mixed lubrication is discussed. The performance characteristics of journal misaligned main bearings under elastohydrodynamic(EHD) and TEHD loads of an I6 diesel engine are received, and then the journal center orbit movement, minimum oil film thickness and maximum oil film pressure of main bearings are estimated over a wide range of engine operation. The model is verified through the comparison with other present models. The TEHD performance of engine main bearings with various effects under the influences of journal misalignment is revealed, this is helpful to understand EHD and TEHD effect of misaligned engine main bearings.BI Fengrong SHAO Kang LIU Changwen WANG Xia ZHANG Jian 2015Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2015,28,3:6
Comparison of nonhuman primates identified the suitable model for COVID-19显示文摘Identification of a suitable nonhuman primate(NHP)model of COVID-19 remains challenging. Here,we characterized severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection in three NHP species:Old World monkeys Macaca mulatta(M.mulatta)and Macaca fascicularis(M.fascicularis)and New World monkey Callithrix jacchus(C.jacchus).Infected M.mulatta and M.fascicularis showed abnormal chest radiographs,an increased body temperature and a decreased body weight.Viral genomes were detected in swab and blood samples from all animals.Viral load was detected in the pulmonary tissues of M.mulatta and M.fascicularis but not C.jacchus.Furthermore,among the three animal species,M.mulatta showed the strongest response to SARS-CoV-2,including increased inflammatory cytokine expression and pathological changes in the pulmonary tissues.Collectively, these data revealed the different susceptibilities of Old World and New World monkeys to SARS-CoV-2 and identified M.mulatta as the most suitable for modeling COVID-19.Shuaiyao Lu Yuan Zhao Wenhai Yu Yun Yang Jiahong Gao Junbin Wang Dexuan Kuang Mengli Yang Jing Yang Chunxia Ma Jingwen Xu Xingli Qian Haiyan Li Siwen Zhao Jingmei Li Haixuan Wang Haiting Long Jingxian Zhou Fangyu Luo Kaiyun Ding Daoju Wu Yong Zhang Yinliang Dong Yuqin Liu Yinqiu Zheng Xiaochen Lin Li Jiao Huanying Zheng Qing Dai Qiangming Sun Yunzhang Hu Changwen Ke Hongqi Liu Xiaozhong Peng 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:5
Antibody neutralization to SARS-CoV-2 and variants after 1 year in Wuhan,China显示文摘Most COVID-19 convalescents can build effective anti-SARS-CoV-2 humoral immunity, but it remains unclear how long it can maintain and how efficiently it can prevent the reinfection of the emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants. Here,we tested the sera from 248 COVID-19 convalescents around 1 year post-infection in Wuhan, the earliest known epicenter.SARS-CoV-2 immunoglobulin G(IgG)was well maintained in most patients and potently neutralizes the infection of the original strain and the B.1.1.7 variant. However, varying degrees of immune escape was observed on the other tested variants in a patient-specific manner, with individuals showing remarkably broad neutralization potency. The immune escape can be largely attributed to several critical spike mutations. These results suggest that SARS-CoV-2 can elicit long-lasting immunity but this is escaped by the emerging variants.Qianyun Liu Qing Xiong Fanghua Mei Chengbao Ma Zhen Zhang Bing Hu Junqiang Xu Yongzhong Jiang Faxian Zhan Suhua Zhou Li Tao Xianying Chen Ming Guo Xin Wang Yaohui Fang Shu Shen Yingle Liu Fang Liu Li Zhou Ke Xu Changwen Ke Fei Deng Kun Cai Huan Yan Yu Chen Ke Lan 2022The Innovation2022,3,1:3

Three-dimensional domain swapping as a mechanism to lock the active conformation in a super-active octamer of SARS-CoV main protease显示文摘Proteolytic processing of viral polyproteins is indispensible for the lifecycle of coronaviruses. The main protease(M^(pro))of SARS-CoV is an attractive target for anti-SARS drug development as it is essential for the polyprotein processing.M^(pro) is initially produced as part of viral polyproteins and it is matured by autocleavage. Here,we report that, with the addition of an N-terminal extension peptide,M^(pro) can form a domain-swapped dimer. After complete removal of the extension peptide from the dimer, the mature M^(pro) self-assembles into a novel super-active octamer(AO-M^(pro)).The crystal structure of AO-M^(pro) adopts a novel fold with four domainswapped dimers packing into four active units with nearly identical conformation to that of the previously reported M^(pro) active dimer, and 3D domain swapping serves as a mechanism to lock the active conformation due to entanglement of polypeptide chains.Compared with the previously well characterized form of M^(pro),in equilibrium between inactive monomer and active dimer, the stable AO-M^(pro) exhibits much higher proteolytic activity at low concentration. As all eight active sites are bound with inhibitors, the polyvalent nature of the interaction between AO-M^(pro) and its polyprotein substrates with multiple cleavage sites, would make AO-M^(pro) functionally much more superior than the M^(pro) active dimer for polyprotein processing. Thus, during the initial period of SARS-CoV infection, this novel active form AOM^(pro) should play a major role in cleaving polyproteins as the protein level is extremely low.The discovery of AOM^(pro) provides new insights about the functional mechanism of M^(pro) and its maturation process.Shengnan Zhang Nan Zhong Fei Xue Xue Kang Xiaobai Ren Jiaxuan Chen Changwen Jin Zhiyong Lou Bin Xia 2010Protein & Cell2010,1,4:2
Significantly reduced abilities to cross-neutralize SARS-CoV-2 variants by sera from convalescent COVID-19 patients infected by Delta or early strains显示文摘The worldwide pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has resulted in more than 4.5 million deaths.Although coronaviruses have a proofreading mechanism to maintain the stability of their long genomic RNAs,mutations emerge continuously, and new variants conferring advantages rapidly become the dominant lineages[1].Strategies to fight the COVID-19 pandemic using either vaccines or nonpharmaceutical interventions have specifically been threatened by the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern(VOCs)[2].Ting Pan Zhongwei Hu Fengyu Hu Yiwen Zhang Bingfeng Liu Changwen Ke Qiumin She Xin He Xiaoping Tang Hui Zhang 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,11:1

Size and temperature effects on band gaps in periodic fluid-filled micropipes显示文摘A new model is proposed for determining the band gaps of flexural wave propagation in periodic fluid-filled micropipes with circular and square thin-wall cross-sectional shapes, which incorporates temperature, microstructure, and surface energy effects. The band gaps depend on the thin-wall cross-sectional shape, the microstructure and surface elastic material constants, the pipe wall thickness, the unit cell length, the volume fraction, the fluid velocity in the pipe, the temperature change, and the thermal expansion coefficient. A systematic parametric study is conducted to quantitatively illustrate these factors. The numerical results show that the band gap frequencies of the current non-classical model with both circular and square thin-wall cross-sectional shapes are always higher than those of the classical model. In addition, the band gap size and frequency decrease with the increase of the unit cell length according to all the cases. Moreover, the large band gaps can be obtained by tailoring these factors.Jun HONG Zhuangzhuang HE Gongye ZHANG Changwen MI 2021Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2021,42,9:1

DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF NOVEL ACTIVE ACTUATOR TO CONTROL LOW FREQUENCY VIBRATIONS OF SHAFT SYSTEM显示文摘Aiming at providing with high-load capability in active vibration control of large-scale rotor system,a new type of active actuator to simultaneously reduce the dangers of low frequency flexural and torsional vibrations is designed. The actuator employs electro-hydraulic system and can provide a high and circumferential load.To initialize new research, the characteristics of various kinds of active actuators to control rotor shaft vibration are briefly introduced. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the preliminary results via presenting the structure, functions and operating principles,in particular, the working process of the electro-hydraulic system of the new actuator which includes a set of high speed electromagnetic valves and a series of sloping cone-shaped openings, and presenting the transmission relationships among the control parameters from control signals into the valves to active load onto shaft. The course of the work is dynamic, and a series of spatial forces and moments are put on the shaft to get an external resultant force to reduce excitations that induce vibration of shafts.By checking states of vibration, the actuator can control the impulse width and the interval of injection time for applying different control force to a vibration shaft in two circumference directions through the regulating action of a set of combination directional control valves. The results from simulating analysis and experiment show evidence of that this design can satisfy the case of active process of decreasing of flexural and torsional vibrations.YU Yilong LIU Changwen YANG Yanxiang WANG Shuang ZHANG Junhong 2008Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2008,21,6:1

Electronic structure and magnetic properties of metastable SmCo_(7) compound显示文摘The electronic density of states, spin-splittings and atomic magnetic moments of SmCo 7 compound have been studied using spin-polarized MS-Xα method. The results show that a few of electrons are transferred to Sm(5d 0 ) orbital because of orbital hybridization between Sm and Co atoms in the compound. The exchange interactions between 3d and 5d electrons lead to the magnetic coupling between Sm and Co, and therefore, result in the long-range ferromagnetic order inside the SmCo 7 compound. There are negative exchange couplings occurring at some levels, which weakens the strength of average coupling around Co lattice. So, the Curie temperature and Co-moment of SmCo 7 decrease distinctly compared with pure Co. Compared with SmCo 5 compound, the disordered substitution of Co-Co “dumbbell-atom” pairs for Sm changes the local environment of Co lattice, which makes the 2e site bear negative magnetic moment. The strength of hybridization near Fermi level weakens and the free energy of the compound increases obviously. Thus, SmCo 7 is a metastable compound at room temperature. Considering the localization of 4f electrons and a few of 5d electrons arising from the orbital hybridization, the magnetic moment of Sm atom will be 1.61μ B in SmCo 7 compound, which is in agreement with the experimental values of Sm 3+ ion- moment and Sm atom-moment in metals.ZHANG Changwen 1 , LI Hua 1 , DONG Jianmin 1 , WANG Yongjuan 1 , PAN Fengchun 1 , ZHANG Jian 1 , GUO Yongquan 2 & LI Wei 2 1.
