3Weighted Markov chains for forecasting and analysis in Incidence of infectious diseases in jiangsu Province,China显示文摘This paper first applies the sequential cluster method to set up the classification standard of infectious disease incidence state based on the fact that there are many uncertainty characteristics in the incidence course.Then the paper presents a weighted Markov chain,a method which is used to predict the future incidence state.This method assumes the standardized self-coefficients as weights based on the special characteristics of infectious disease incidence being a dependent stochastic variable.It also analyzes the characteristics of infectious diseases incidence via the Markov chain Monte Carlo method to make the long-term benefit of decision optimal.Our method is successfully validated using existing incidents data of infectious diseases in Jiangsu Province.In summation,this paper proposes ways to improve the accuracy of the weighted Markov chain,specifically in the field of infection epidemiology.Zhihang Peng Changjun Bao Yang Zhao Honggang Yi Letian Xia Hao Yu Hongbing Shen Feng Chen 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,3:10
4Curative effect of Dingqi analgesic patch on cancer pain:a single-blind randomized controlled trail显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of an acupoint application with a Dingqi analgesic patch on moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer.METHODS:Forty patients with moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer were randomly divided intoatreatmentgroup(TG)andacontrolgroup(CG).Patients with moderate pain were given 100 mg qd of a sustainably released tablet of tramadol hydrochloride;patientswithseverepainweregiven4.2mg q3d of the fentanyl transdermal system.The ashi points Ganshu(BL 18),Danshu(BL 19) and Qimen(LR 14) were chosen for the acupoint application intervention.CG patients were given a sham patch and TG patients were given a Dingqi analgesic patch.A visual analogue scale(VAS) was used before treatment and after 1,3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment.The Karnofsky score was measured before treatment and after 12 days of treatment.Any main adverse reactions(e.g.nausea,constipation,dizziness and headache) were recorded after 6 and 12 days of treatment.Any skin side effects(i.e.skin irritation and allergic reactions) were recorded.RESULTS:The VAS in TG was significantly lower than that in CG after 3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the Karnofsky score before treatment and after 12 days of treatment between CG and TG.There were also no significant differences in the main adverse reactions or skin side effects after 6 and 12 days of treatment between CG andTG(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:The Dingqi analgesic patch can enhance the analgesic effect of tramadol and fentanyl.Changjun Wang Wei Tan Xuhui Huang Tingting Fu Juze Lin Junmin Bu Guojian Wei Yu Du 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:9
5Chaihushugan decoction exerts antiepileptic effects by increasing hippocampal glutamate metabolism in pentylenetetrazole-kindled rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the antiepileptic effects of Chaihushugan decoction(CHSGD) in rats with pentylenetetrazole(PTZ)-induced seizures and to discuss the impact of CHSGD on glutamate metabolism, a hypothesized underlying mechanism of seizure reduction.METHODS: Fifty Wistar rats were divided randomly into either control(n = 10) or experimental(n = 40)groups. Rats in the control group were administered physiological saline intraperitoneally. A subconvulsive dose of PTZ(35 mg/kg) was administered intraperitoneally to rats in the experimental group to induce seizures. The fully PTZ-kindled rats were then randomly divided into five subgroups(n = 8 each) based on the following treatment categories: physiological saline, VPA(200 mg/kg), CHSGD(2.5 g/kg), CHSGD(5 g/kg), or CHSGD(10 g/kg),administered orally once per day, respectively. On day 28 following initiation of drug treatment, seizures were monitored. The rats were then sacrificed, and hippocampal dissections were performed for subsequent studies.RESULTS: CHSGD significantly prolonged the latency of myoclonic, clonic, and tonic seizures, while decreasing overall seizure rates in the kindled rats.The measured concentrations of 2-[N-(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazol-4-yl) amino]-2-deoxy-d-glucose(2-NBDG) and glutamate were significantly lower in the hippocampi of kindled rats in groups treated with CHSGD compared with those treated with PTZ alone. In addition, CHSGD was found to up-regulate both the expression of glutamate transporter-1(GLT-1) protein and the activity of glutamine synthetase(GS) in the hippocampi of kindled rats.CONCLUSION: These results suggest that CHSGD has antiepileptic effects on PTZ-induced seizures.The results further suggest an increase in glutamate metabolism at the synaptic cleft is a putative underlying mechanism of seizure reduction.Yu Yunhong Xie Wei Wang Changjun 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,6:9

7Endothelial PDGF-BB/PDGFR-βsignaling promotes osteoarthritis by enhancing angiogenesis-dependent abnormal subchondral bone formation显示文摘The mechanisms that coordinate the shift from joint homeostasis to osteoarthritis(OA)remain unknown.No pharmacological intervention can currently prevent the progression of osteoarthritis.Accumulating evidence has shown that subchondral bone deterioration is a primary trigger for overlying cartilage degeneration.We previously found that H-type vessels modulate aberrant subchondral bone formation during the pathogenesis of OA.However,the mechanism responsible for the elevation of H-type vessels in OA is still unclear.Here,we found that PDGFR-βexpression,predominantly in the CD31^(hi)Emcn^(hi) endothelium,was substantially elevated in subchondral bones from OA patients and rodent OA models.A mouse model of OA with deletion of PDGFR-βin endothelial cells(ECs)exhibited fewer H-type vessels,ameliorated subchondral bone deterioration and alleviated overlying cartilage degeneration.Endothelial PDGFR-βpromotes angiogenesis through the formation of the PDGFR-β/talin1/FAK complex.Notably,endothelium-specific inhibition of PDGFR-βby local injection of AAV9 in subchondral bone effectively attenuated the pathogenesis of OA compared with that of the vehicle-treated controls.Based on the results from this study,targeting PDGFR-βis a novel and promising approach for the prevention or early treatment of OA.Zhuang Cui Hangtian Wu Ye Xiao Ting Xu Junjie Jia Hancheng Lin Rongmin Lin Kun Chen Yihuang Lin Kaiqun Li Xiaohu Wu Changjun Li Bin Yu 2022Bone Research2022,10,4:4
8Magnetron co-sputtering synthesis and nanoindentation studies of nanocrystalline(TiZrHf)_(x)(NbTa)_(1–x)high-entropy alloy thin films显示文摘Refractory high-entropy alloys(HEAs)possess many useful properties such as high strength and high-temperature stability.So far,most studies on refractory HEAs have been limited to a few well-known compositions and on their coarse-grain bulk forms.Here we fabricate nanocrystalline(TiZrHf)_(x)(NbTa)_(1−x)HEA thin films with a large range of compositions(x=0.07–0.90)by the direct current(DC)magnetron co-sputtering technique and measure their mechanical properties using the nanoindentation method.All the as-deposited HEA thin films show a solid-solution body-centered cubic(bcc)structure.As the compositional ratio(x)increases,the elastic modulus decreases from 153 to 123 GPa,following the trend of the rule of mixture.As x increases,the hardness first decreases from 6.5 GPa(x=0.07)to the lowest value(4.6 GPa,x=0.48)and then increases to the highest value(7.1 GPa,x=0.90),showing a concave trend.The change in hardness might be attributed to the combinational influence caused by the atomic size and modulus effects,as well as the texture effect.The authors also propose a few open questions for future studies on this and related HEA systems.Changjun Cheng Xiaofu Zhang Michel J.R.Haché Yu Zou 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:3
9Monolithic homogeneous integrated miniaturized triboelectric nanogenerator with an inner air cavity for energy harvesting显示文摘To realize the high-efficiency acquisition of environmental mechanical energy,traditional triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)based on contact-separation consist of two separate triboelectric layers.Their large contact-separation gap increases the overall volume of the device,making it difficult to realize miniaturization and flexibility.This work,therefore,presents a fully enclosed all-in-one-shaped flexible TENG(FEAST)with an air cavity using rubber mixing and high-temperature vulcanization.The air pressure inside the enclosed air cavity facilitates effective contact-separation of the FEAST.The homogeneous integration between the triboelectric layer and the electrode layer enhances structural firmness without using extra spacer materials.The developed FEAST presents excellent mechanical durability even after 10000 cycles.By increasing the active contact area between the triboelectric materials,a maximum peak-peak output voltage,current,and power density of 130 V,1.1μA,and277 m W/m^(2),respectively,were obtained with an effective stress area of 1 cm2.Moreover,the fully enclosed structure ensures that the output performance is not affected by the external environment.The FEAST was fixed onto the sole of a shoe to demonstrate its applicability in harvesting mechanical energy from human motions.Overall,the developed method provides a simple approach for optimizing the structure of TENGs and is compatible with large-scale manufacturing.HOU XiaoJuan ZHANG ShengNan YU JunBin YANG ChangJun ZHANG Ning HE Jian CHOU XiuJian 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,3:3
10Synchrotron micro-scale measurement of metal distributions in Phragmites australis and Typha latifolia root tissue from an urban brownfield site显示文摘Liberty State Park in New Jersey,USA,is a 'brownfield' site containing various levels of contaminants.To investigate metal uptake and distributions in plants on the brownfield site,Phragmites australis and Typha latifolia were collected in Liberty State Park during the growing season(May–September)in 2011 at two sites with the high and low metal loads,respectively.The objective of this study was to understand the metal(Fe,Mn,Cu,Pb and Zn)concentration and spatial distributions in P.australis and T.latifolia root systems with micro-meter scale resolution using synchrotron X-ray microfluorescence(μXRF)and synchrotron X-ray computed microtomography(μCMT)techniques.The root structure measurement by synchrotron μCMT showed that high X-ray attenuation substance appeared in the epidermis.Synchrotron μXRF measurement showed that metal concentrations and distributions in the root cross-section between epidermis and vascular tissue were statistically different.Significant correlations were found between metals(Cu,Mn,Pb and Zn)and Fe in the epidermis,implying that metals were scavenged by Fe oxides.The results from this study suggest that the expression of metal transport and accumulation within the root systems may be element specific.The information derived from this study can improve our current knowledge of the wetland plant ecological function in brownfield remediation.Huan Feng Yu Qian Frank J.Gallagher Weiguo Zhang Lizhong Yu Changjun Liu Keith W.Jones Ryan Tappero 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,3:3
11A Tracking Filter in Spherical Coordinates Enhanced by De-noising of Converted Doppler Measurements显示文摘Tracking problem in spherical coordinates with range rate (Doppler) measurements, which would have errors correlated to the range measurement errors, is investigated in this paper. The converted Doppler measurements, constructed by the product of the Doppler measurements and range measurements, are used to replace the original Doppler measurements. A de-noising method based on an unbiased Kalman filter (KF) is proposed to reduce the converted Doppler measurement errors before updating the target states for the constant velocity (CV) model. The states from the de-noising filter are then combined with the Cartesian states from the converted measurement Kalman filter (CMKF) to produce final state estimates. The nonlinearity of the de-noising filter states are handled by expanding them around the Cartesian states from the CMKF in a Taylor series up to the second order term. In the mean time, the correlation between the two filters caused by the common range measurements is handled by a minimum mean squared error (MMSE) estimation-based method. These result in a new tracking filter, CMDN-EKF2. 12Porous fiber paper and 3D patterned electrodes composed high-sensitivity flexible piezoresistive sensor for physiological signal monitoring显示文摘The research on flexible pressure sensors has drawn widespread attention in recent years,especially in the fields of health care and intelligent robots.In practical applications,the sensitivity of sensors directly affects the precision and integrity of weak pressure signals.Here,a pressure sensor with high sensitivity and a wide measurement range composed of porous fiber paper and 3D patterned electrodes is proposed.Multi-walled carbon nanotubes with excellent conductivity were evenly sprayed on the fiber paper to form the natural spatial conducting networks,while the copper-deposited polydimethylsiloxane films with micropyramids array were used as electrodes and flexible substrates.Increased conducting paths between electrodes and fibers can be obtained when high-density micro-pyramids fall into the porous structures of the fiber paper under external pressure,thereby promoting the pressure sensor to show an ultra-high sensitivity of 17.65 kPa^(-1)in the pressure range of 0–2 kPa,16 times that of the device without patterned electrodes.Besides,the sensor retains a high sensitivity of 2.06 kPa^(-1)in an ultra-wide measurement range of 150 kPa.Moreover,the sensor can detect various physiological signals,including pulse and voice,while attached to the human skin.This work provides a novel strategy to significantly improve the sensitivity and measurement range of flexible pressure sensors,as well as demonstrates attractive applications in physiological signal monitoring.HOU XiaoJuan ZHONG JiXin HE Jian YANG ChangJun YU JunBin MEI LinYu MU JiLiang GENG WenPing CHOU XiuJian 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,5:2

18Constructing central hollow cylindrical reduced graphene oxide foams with vertically and radially orientated porous channels for highly efficient solar-driven water evaporation and purification显示文摘Although solar steam generation is an eco-friendly approach for desalinating seawater and purifying wastewater,there are still issues on how to improve the efficiency of solar energy utilization and accelerate the water and heat transport inside the solardriven water evaporators.Herein,we design a central hollow cylindrical reduced graphene oxide(RGO)foam with vertically and radially orientated channels as a solar steam generation device for efficient water evaporation and purification.The vertically aligned porous channels accelerate upward transport of water to the top evaporation surface,while the radially aligned porous channels facilitate water transport and heat transfer along the radial directions for fully utilizing the heat accumulated inside the central cylindrical hole of the foam.The central hole of the foam plays a highly positive role in accumulating more heat for accelerating the water evaporation,the newly generated inner sidewall resulted from the central hole can gain extra thermal energy from surrounding environment in the same way as the outer sidewall of the foam due to the surface cooling effect of the water evaporation.As a result,the vertically and radially aligned RGO foam evaporator with central hollow cylinder achieves a high solar steam generation rate of 2.32 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1)with an exceptional energy conversion efficiency of 120.9%under 1-sun irradiation,superior to the vertically aligned RGO foam without the central hole(1.83 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1),96.9%)because of the enhanced water and heat transfer inside the porous channels,the efficient utilization of environmental energy.Changjun Li Wei Li Hao-Yu Zhao Xin-Yue Feng Xiaofeng Li Zhong-Zhen Yu 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:1
