Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. Therefore the observation of Insight-HXMT constitutes an important chapter in the full context of multi-wavelength and multi-messenger observation of this historical GW event.TiPei Li ShaoLin Xiong ShuangNan Zhang FangJun Lu LiMing Song XueLei Cao Zhi Chang Gang Chen Li Chen TianXiang Chen Yong Chen YiBao Chen YuPeng Chen Wei Cui WeiWei Cui JingKang Deng YongWei Dong YuanYuan Du MinXue Fu GuanHua Gao He Gao Min Gao MingYu Ge YuDong Gu Ju Guan ChengCheng Guo DaWei Han Wei Hu Yue Huang Jia Huo ShuMei Jia LuHua Jiang WeiChun Jiang Jing Jin YongJie Jin Bing Li ChengKui Li Gang Li MaoShun Li Wei Li Xian Li XiaoBo Li XuFang Li YanGuo Li ZiJian Li ZhengWei Li XiaoHua Liang JinYuan Liao CongZhan Liu GuoQing Liu HongWei Liu ShaoZhen Liu XiaoJing Liu Yuan Liu YiNong Liu Bo Lu XueFeng Lu Tao Luo Xiang Ma Bin Meng Yi Nang JianYin Nie Ge OU JinLu Qu Na Sai Liang Sun Yin Tan Lian Tao WenHui Tao YouLi Tuo GuoFeng Wang HuanYu Wang Juan Wang WenShuai Wang YuSa Wang XiangYang Wen BoBing WU Mei Wu GuangCheng Xiao He Xu YuPeng Xu LinLi Yan JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang AiMei Zhang ChunLei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang HongMei Zhang Juan Zhang Qiang Zhang Shu Zhang Tong Zhang Wei Zhang WanChang Zhang WenZhao Zhang Yi Zhang Yue Zhang YiFei Zhang YongJie Zhang Zhao Zhang ZiLiang Zhang HaiSheng Zhao JianLing Zhao XiaoFan Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yue Zhu YuXuan Zhu ChangLin Zou 2018Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2018,61,3:12

QTL and genetic analysis controlling fiber quality traits using paternal backcross population in upland cotton显示文摘Background:Genetic improvement in fiber quality is one of the main challenges for cotton breeders.Quantitative trait loci(QTL)mapping provides a powerful approach to dissect the molecular mechanism in fiber quality traits. In present study,F14 recombinant inbred line(RIL)population was backcrossed to paternal parent for a paternal backcross(BC/P)population,deriving from one upland cotton hybrid.Three repetitive BC/P field trials and one maternal backcross(BC/M)field trial were performed including both two BC populations and the original RIL population. Results:In total,24 novel QTLs are detected for fiber quality traits and among which 13 QTLs validated previous results.Thirty-five QTLs in BC/P populations explain 5.01%–22.09%of phenotype variation(PV).Among the 35 QTLs,23 QTLs are detected in BC/P population alone.Present study provides novel alleles of male parent for fiber quality traits with positive genetic effects.Particularly,qFS-Chr3–1 explains 22.09%of PV in BC/P population, which increaseds 0.48 cN·tex−1 for fiber strength.A total of 7,2,8,2 and 6 QTLs explain over 10.00%of PV for fiber length, fiber uniformity, fiber strength, fiber elongation and fiber micronaire, respectively. In RIL population, six common QTLs are detected in more than one environment:qFL-Chr1–2,qFS-Chr5–1,qFS-Chr9–1,qFS-Chr21–1,qFM-Chr9–1 and qFM-Chr9–2.Two common QTLs of qFE-Chr2–2(TMB2386-SWU12343)and qFM-Chr9–1(NAU2873-CGR6771)explain 22.42%and 21.91%of PV.The region between NAU4034 and TMB1296 harbor 30 genes(379 kb)in A05 and 42 genes(49 kb)in D05 for fiber length along the QTL qFL-Chr5–1 in BC/P population, respectively. In addition,a total of 142 and 46 epistatic QTLs and QTL×environments(E-QTLs and QQEs)are identified in recombinant inbred lines in paternal backcross(RIL-P)and paternal backcross(BC/P)populations,respectively.Conclusions:The present studies provide informative basis for improving cotton fiber quality in different populations.MA LingLing SU Ying NIE Hushuai CUI Yupeng CHENG Cheng IJAZ Babar HUA Jinping 2020Journal of Cotton Research2020,3,3:3
Large eddy simulation of stably stratified turbulence显示文摘Stable stratification turbulence, as a common phenomenon in atmospheric and oceanic flows, is an important mechanism for numerical prediction of such flows. In this paper the large eddy simulation is utilized for investigating stable stratification turbulence numerically. The paper is expected to provide correct statistical results in agreement with those measured in the atmosphere or ocean. The fully developed turbulence is obtained in the stable stratification fluid by large eddy simulation with different initial velocity field and characteristic parameters, i.e. Reynolds number Re and Froude number Fr. The evolution of turbulent kinetic energy, characteristic length scales and parameters is analyzed for investigating the development of turbulence in stable stratification fluid. The three-dimensional energy spectra, horizontal and vertical energy spectrum, are compared between numerical simulation and real observation in the atmosphere and ocean in order to test the reliability of the numerical simulation. The results of numerical cases show that the large eddy simulation is capable of predicting the properties of stable stratification turbulence in consistence with real measurements at less computational cost. It has been found in this paper that the turbulence can be developed under different initial velocity conditions and the internal wave energy is dominant in the developed stable stratification turbulence. It is also found that the characteristic parameters must satisfy certain conditions in order to have correct statistical property of stable stratification turbulence in the atmosphere and ocean. The Reynolds number and Froude number are unnecessarily equal to those in atmosphere or ocean, but the Reynolds number must be large enough, say, greater than 10 2 , and Froude number must be less than 0.1. The most important parameter is ReFr 2 which must be greater than 10.SHEN Zhi, LI YuPeng, CUI GuiXiang & ZHANG ZhaoShun Department of Engineering Mechanics, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,1:2

Increasingπ-electron availability in benzene ring incorporated graphitic carbon nitride for increased photocatalytic hydrogen generation显示文摘Increasing the availability ofπ-electron in graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))can reduce the band gap and thus enhance the photocatalytic hydrogen(H_(2))generation activity upon exposure to visible light,However, such strategy has not yet been largely applied to increase the H_(2)generation of g-C_(3)N_(4).Herein,we succes s fully increased the amount ofπ-electron in g-C_(3)N_(4)by incorporatingπ-electron-rich benzene rings through copolymerization of melamine and trimesic acid in air.The incorporation of benzene rings not only extends the light absorption of g-C_(3)N_(4)to 650 nm,but also improves the electrical conductivity due to delocalization ofπelectrons in benzene rings. As a result,a 3.4 times enhancement of photocatalytic H_(2)generation was achieved from the g-C_(3)N_(4)with benzene ring incorporation in comparing with that of pristine g-C_(3)N_(4).More interestingly,H_(2)generation still occurs under irradiation of the light ofλ≥490 nm,above the absorption edge of pristine g-C_(3)N_(4)(~460 nm),illustrating the positive effectiveness of incorporated benzene rings on enhancing the H_(2)generation capacity of g-C_(3)N_(4).The present work manifests the advantages of increasingπ-conjugated electrons on designing highly active g-C_(3)N_(4)photocatalysts.Xiangang Lin Xiaojuan Hou Lixia Cui Shiqiang Zhao Hong Bi Haiwei Du Yupeng Yuan 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6:2
Aqueous Zn-MnO_(2) battery: Approaching the energy storage limit with deep Zn^(2+) pre-intercalation and revealing the ions insertion/extraction mechanisms显示文摘Rechargeable aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)were considered as one of the most promising candidates for large-scale energy storage due to the merits of high safety and inexpensiveness. As AZIBs cathode material,Mn O_(2)possesses great merits but was greatly hindered due to the sluggish diffusion kinetic of Zn^(2+) during electrochemical operations.Herein, deep Zn^(2+) ions intercalatedδ-Mn O_(2)(Zn-Mn O_(2))was achieved by the in situ electrochemical deposition route, which significantly enhanced the diffusion ability of Zn^(2+) due to the synergistic effects of Zn^(2+) pillars and structural H;O.The resultant Zn-Mn O_(2)based AZIBs delivers a record capacity of 696 m Ah/g(0.5 m Ah/cm^(2))based on the initial mass loading, which is approaching the theoretical capacity of Mn O_(2)with a two-electrons reaction.In-situ Raman studies reveal highly reversible Zn^(2+)ions insertion/extraction behaviors and here the Zn-Mn O_(2)plays the role of a container during the charge–discharge process.Further charge storage mechanism investigations point out the insertion/extraction of Zn^(2+) and H^(+) coincides, and such process is significantly facilitated results from superior interlayered configurations of Zn-Mn O_(2)The excellent electrochemical performance of Zn-Mn O_(2)achieved in this work suggests the deep ions pre-intercalation strategy may aid in the future development of advanced cathodes for AZIBs.Yaxiong Zhang Xiaosha Cui Yupeng Liu Situo Cheng Peng Cui Yin Wu Zhenheng Sun Zhipeng Shao Jiecai Fu Erqing Xie 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,4:2
Study on the Tangential Tensile Mechanical Properties of Moso Bamboo显示文摘In this work,we used tensile tests to analyze the tangential failure forms of raw bamboo and determine a relationship between tangential tensile strength, elastic modulus, position, density, and moisture content. We found that the tangential mechanical properties of the culm wall were mainly dependent on the mechanical properties of the basic structure of the thin wall.Formulas for calculating the tangential tensile strength of moso bamboo and adjusting the moisture content were also determined. The tangential tensile strength and the tangential tensile modulus of elasticity(TTMOE)followed:outer>middle>inner, and diaphragm>bamboo node>culm wall.Below the fiber saturation point, the tangential tensile strength and TTMOE values of the bamboo gradually decreased with increasing moisture content. When the moisture content was 15%,the tangential tensile strengths of the inner, middle, outer, culm wall, bamboo node, and diaphragm samples of the five-year-old moso bamboo were 3.17,3.29,3.31,3.24,3.67,and 8.85 MPa,respectively.Furthermore, their TTMOE values were 215.09,227.98,238.45,224.04,267.21,and 559.27 MPa,respectively.Hence, this study provides a theoretical basis for future research on bamboo cracking.Biqing Shu Lu Hong Suxia Li Yupeng Tao Jianxin Cui Naiqiang Fu Junbao Yu Chen Li Xiaoning Lu 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,8:1
Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Ti–Ta Composites Prepared Through Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing显示文摘In this study, an innovative approach was used to fabricate Ti–Ta composite biomaterials through cold spray additive manufacturing followed by a diff usion treatment. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated in detail using field emission scanning electron microscopy, electron backscatter diff raction, 3D X-ray computed tomography, tensile test, nanohardness test and resonance vibration test. The obtained results indicated that the prepared composites have inhomogeneity in their microstructure and composition. A unique microstructure, composed of Ti-rich, Ta-rich and diff usion regions, was evolved in the composites due to incomplete diff usion between Ti and Ta splats. Further, Kirkendall pores were formed in the composites due to uneven diff usion of the two phases(of Ti and Ta) during high-temperature heat treatment. The prepared composites simultaneously showed low elastic modulus and high tensile strength which is required for a good biomaterial. Low elastic modulus was associated with the residual pores and the alloying eff ect of Ta in Ti, while high tensile strength was related to the solid solution strengthening eff ects. The obtained results indicated that the prepared Ti–Ta composites have a great potential to become a new candidate for biomedical applications.Junrong Tang Naeem ul Haq Tariq Zhipo Zhao Mingxiao Guo Hanhui Liu Yupeng Ren Xinyu Cui Yanfang Shen Jiqiang Wang Tianying Xiong 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,9:1
DeepNitro: Prediction of Protein Nitration and Nitrosylation Sites by Deep Learning显示文摘Protein nitration and nitrosylation are essential post-translational modifications(PTMs)involved in many fundamental cellular processes. Recent studies have revealed that excessive levels of nitration and nitrosylation in some critical proteins are linked to numerous chronic diseases. Therefore, the identification of substrates that undergo such modifications in a site-specific manner is an important research topic in the community and will provide candidates for targeted therapy. In this study, we aimed to develop a computational tool for predicting nitration and nitrosylation sites in proteins. We first constructed four types of encoding features, including positional amino acid distributions, sequence contextual dependencies, physicochemical properties, and position-specificscoring features, to represent the modified residues. Based on these encoding features, we established a predictor called DeepNitro using deep learning methods for predicting protein nitration and nitrosylation. Using n-fold cross-validation, our evaluation shows great AUC values for DeepNitro, 0.65 for tyrosine nitration, 0.80 for tryptophan nitration, and 0.70 for cysteine nitrosylation, respectively, demonstrating the robustness and reliability of our tool. Also, when tested in the independent dataset, DeepNitro is substantially superior to other similar tools with a 7%à42% improvement in the prediction performance. Taken together, the application of deep learning method and novel encoding schemes, especially the position-specific scoring feature, greatly improves the accuracy of nitration and nitrosylation site prediction and may facilitate the prediction of other PTM sites. 13One-bit compressed sensing recovery algorithm robust to perturbation显示文摘One-bit compressed sensing( CS) technology reconstructs the sparse signal when the available measurements are reduced to only their sign-bit. It is well known that CS reconstruction should know the measurement matrix exactly to obtain a correct result. However, the measurement matrix is probably perturbed in many practical scenarios. An iterative algorithm called perturbed binary iterative hard thresholding( PBIHT) is proposed to reconstruct the sparse signal from the binary measurements( sign measurements) where the measurement matrix experiences a general perturbation. The proposed algorithm can reconstruct the original data without any prior knowledge about the perturbation. Specifically, using the ideas of the gradient descent, PBIHT iteratively estimates signal and perturbation until the estimation converges. Simulation results demonstrate that, under certain conditions,PBIHT improves the performance of signal reconstruction in the perturbation scenario.Cui Yupeng Xu Wenbo Lin Jiaru 2018The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2018,25,1:0

A targeted QTL analysis for fiber length using a genetic population between two introgressed backcrossed inbred lines in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)显示文摘Cotton fiber is the most important natural raw material for the textile industry, and fiber length(FL) is one of the most important traits in cotton.Quantitative trait locus(QTL)mapping based on high-density genetic maps is an efficient approach to identify genetic regions for FL.In our study, two backcrossed inbred lines(BILs) were chosen as parents to construct a high-density genetic map in F2 which was used to fine map FL QTL in F2:3 population. The genetic map had a total size of 3462.8 cM, containing 9182 singlenucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) based on genotyping-by-sequencing.Two FL related stable QTL were identified on two chromosomes(qFL-A08–1 on A08 and qFL-D03–1 on D03),and qFL-A08–1 was confirmed by a meta-analysis.Utilizing previously obtained RNA-seq data for the two BILs and qRT-PCR analysis, two candidate genes annotated as cytochrome b5(CB5, Gh_A08 G1729) and microtubule end-binding 1 C(EB1C, Gh_D03 G0232) that may regulate FL during the fiber elongation stage were identified. In addition, nine recombination hotspots in this population were found. The results of this study will provide an important foundation for further studies on the molecular and genetic regulation of fiber elongation.Guoyuan Liua Wenfeng Pei Dan Li Jianjiang Ma Yupeng Cui Nuohan Wang Jikun Song Man Wu Libei Li Xinshan Zang Shuxun Yu Jinfa Zhang Jiwen Yu 2019The Crop Journal2019,7,3:0
Multi-omics analysis reveals the evolutionary origin of diterpenoid alkaloid biosynthesis pathways in Aconitum显示文摘Diterpenoid alkaloids(DAs) have been often utilized in clinical practice due to their analgesic and anti-infammatory properties. Natural DAs are prevalent in the family Ranunculaceae, notably in the Aconitum genus. Nevertheless, the evolutionary origin of the biosynthesis pathway responsible for DA production remains unknown. In this study, we successfully assembled a highquality, pseudochromosome-level genome of the DA-rich species Aconitum vilmorinianum(A.vilmorinianum)(5.76 Gb). An A. vilmorinianumspecific whole-genome duplication event was discovered using comparative genomic analysis, which may aid in the evolution of the DA biosynthesis pathway. We identified several genes involved in DA biosynthesis via integrated genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomic analyses. These genes included enzymes encoding target ent-kaurene oxidases and aminotransferases, which facilitated the activation of diterpenes and insertion of nitrogen atoms into diterpene skeletons, thereby mediating the transformation of diterpenes into DAs. The divergence periods of these genes in A. vilmorinianum were further assessed, and it was shown that two major types of genes were involved in the establishment of the DA biosynthesis pathway. Our integrated analysis offers fresh insights into the evolutionary origin of DAs in A.vilmorinianum as well as suggestions for engineering the biosynthetic pathways to obtain desired DAs.Dake Zhao Ya Zhang Huanxing Ren Yana Shi Ding Dong Zonghang Li Guanghong Cui Yong Shen Zongmin Mou Edward JKennelly Luqi Huang Jue Ruan Suiyun Chen Diqiu Yu Yupeng Cun 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,10:0
In-orbit performance of LE onboard Insight-HXMT in the first 5 years显示文摘Purpose The low-energy X-ray telescope(LE)is a main instrument of the Insight-HXMT mission and consists of 96 swept charge devices covering the 1–10 keV energy band. The energy gain and resolution are continuously calibrated by analyzing Cassiopeia A(Cas A)and blank sky data, while the effective areas are also calibrated with the observations of the Crab Nebula. In this paper,we present the evolution of the in-orbit performances of LE in the first 5 years since launch. Methods The Insight-HXMT data analysis software package(HXMTDAS)is utilized to extract the spectra of Cas A,blank sky,and Crab Nebula using different good time interval selections. We fit a model with a power-law continuum and several Gaussian lines to different ranges of Cas A and blank sky spectra to get peak energies of their lines through xspec. After updating the energy gain calibration in CALibration DataBase(CALDB),we rerun the Cas A data to obtain the energy resolution. An empirical function is used to modify the simulated effective areas so that the background-subtracted spectrum of the Crab Nebula can best match the standard model of the Crab Nebula. Results The energy gain, resolution, and effective areas are calibrated every month. The corresponding calibration results are duly updated in CALDB,which can be downloaded and used for the analysis of Insight-HXMT data.Simultaneous observations with NuSTAR and NICER can also be used to verify our derived results. Conclusion LE is a well-calibrated X-ray telescope working in 1–10 keV band. The uncertainty of LE gain is less than 20eV in 2–9 keV band, and the uncertainty of LE resolution is less than 15eV.The systematic errors of LE,compared to the model of the Crab Nebula, are lower than 1.5%in 1–10 keV.Xiaobo Li Yong Chen Liming Song Weiwei Cui Wei Li Juan Wang Shuang-Nan Zhang Fangjun Lu Yupeng Xu Haisheng Zhao Mingyu Ge Youli Tuo Yusa Wang Tianxiang Chen Dawei Han Jia Huo Yanji Yang Maoshun Li Ziliang Zhang Yuxuan Zhu Xiaofan Zhao 2023Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2023,7,1:0
