3V2O5 Nanospheres with Mixed Vanadium Valences as High Electrochemically Active Aqueous Zinc-Ion Battery Cathode显示文摘AV4+-V2O5 cathode with mixed vanadium valences was prepared via a novel synthetic method using VOOH as the precursor,and its zinc-ion storage performance was evaluated.The products are hollow spheres consisting of nanoflakes.The V4+-V2O5 cathode exhibits a prominent cycling performance,with a specific capacity of 140 mAhg-1 after 1000 cycles at 10 A g.1,and an excellent rate capability.The good electrochemical performance is attributed to the presence of V4+,which leads to higher electrochemical activity,lower polarization,faster ion diffusion,and higher electrical conductivity than V2O5 without V4+.This engineering strategy of valence state manipulation may pave the way for designing high-performance cathodes for elucidating advanced battery chemistry.Fei Liu Zixian Chen Guozhao Fang Ziqing Wang Yangsheng Cai Boya Tang Jiang Zhou Shuquan Liang 2019Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,2:12
4Multi-scale object detection by top-down and bottom-up feature pyramid network显示文摘While moving ahead with the object detection technology, especially deep neural networks, many related tasks, such as medical application and industrial automation, have achieved great success. However, the detection of objects with multiple aspect ratios and scales is still a key problem. This paper proposes a top-down and bottom-up feature pyramid network(TDBU-FPN),which combines multi-scale feature representation and anchor generation at multiple aspect ratios. First, in order to build the multi-scale feature map, this paper puts a number of fully convolutional layers after the backbone. Second, to link neighboring feature maps, top-down and bottom-up flows are adopted to introduce context information via top-down flow and supplement suboriginal information via bottom-up flow. The top-down flow refers to the deconvolution procedure, and the bottom-up flow refers to the pooling procedure. Third, the problem of adapting different object aspect ratios is tackled via many anchor shapes with different aspect ratios on each multi-scale feature map. 6A unified poroviscoelastic model with mesoscopic and microscopic heterogeneities显示文摘The wave-induced fluid flow(WIFF) is considered to be the main cause of dispersion and attenuation of seismic waves in fluid-saturated porous media. Among numerous theories, the mesoscopic and microscopic heterogeneities are considered to be the primary mechanisms causing the WIFF. Furthermore,in most rocks, the mesoscopic and microscopic heterogeneities exist simultaneously and can cause obvious transitions of the fast P-wave velocity, which means it is necessary to consider the influence of the two mechanisms on the dispersion and attenuation simultaneously. Numerous results have shown that the dispersions and attenuations caused by these two mechanisms can be approximated in terms of the Zener model. To combine the two mechanisms into a unified model, we introduce a new generalized Zener model into the Biot poroelasticity theory to obtain a new poroviscoelastic model. 7Shake-table testing of a self-centering precast reinforced concrete frame with shear walls显示文摘The seismic performance of a self-centering precast reinforced concrete(RC)frame with shear walls was investigated in this paper.The lateral force resistance was provided by self-centering precast RC shear walls(SPCW),which utilize a combination of unbonded prestressed post-tensioned(PT)tendons and mild steel reinforcing bars for flexural resistance across base joints.The structures concentrated deformations at the bottom joints and the unbonded PT tendons provided the self-centering restoring force.A 1/3-scale model of a five-story self-centering RC frame with shear walls was designed and tested on a shake-table under a series of bi-directional earthquake excitations with increasing intensity.The acceleration response,roof displacement,inter-story drifts,residual drifts,shear force ratios,hysteresis curves,and local behaviour of the test specimen were analysed and evaluated.The results demonstrated that seismic performance of the test specimen was satisfactory in the plane of the shear wall;however,the structure sustained inter-story drift levels up to 2.45%.Negligible residual drifts were recorded after all applied earthquake excitations.Based on the shake-table test results,it is feasible to apply and popularize a self-centering precast RC frame with shear walls as a structural system in seismic regions.Lu Xilin Yang Boya Zhao Bin 2018Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2018,17,2:9
8Interfacial adsorption-insertion mechanism induced by phase boundary toward better aqueous Zn-ion battery显示文摘Biphasic and multiphasic compounds have been well clarified to achieve extraordinary electrochemical properties as advanced energy storage materials.Yet the role of phase boundaries in improving the performance is remained to be illustrated.Herein,we reported the biphasic vanadate,that is,Na_(1.2)V_(3)O_(8)/K_(2)V_(6)O_(16)·1.5H_(2)O(designated as Na0.5K0.5VO),and detected the novel interfacial adsorption-insertion mechanism induced by phase boundaries.Firstprinciples calculations indicated that large amount of Zn^(2+)and H^(+)ions would be absorbed by the phase boundaries and most of them would insert into the host structure,which not only promote the specific capacity,but also effectively reduce diffusion energy barrier toward faster reaction kinetics.Driven by this advanced interfacial adsorption-insertion mechanism,the aqueous Zn/Na_(0.5)K_(0.5)VO is able to perform excellent rate capability as well as long-term cycling performance.A stable capacity of 267 mA h g^(-1)after 800 cycles at 5 A g^(-1)can be achieved.The discovery of this mechanism is beneficial to understand the performance enhancement mechanism of biphasic and multiphasic compounds as well as pave pathway for the strategic design of highperformance energy storage materials.Lutong Shan Yiren Wang Shuquan Liang Boya Tang Yongqiang Yang Ziqing Wang Bingan Lu Jiang Zhou 2021InfoMat2021,3,9:8
9Zika virus infection induces RNAi-mediated antiviral immunity in human neural progenitors and brain organoids显示文摘The re-emergence of Zika virus(ZIKV)in the Western Hemisphere has resulted in global public health crisis since 2015.ZIKV preferentially infects and targets human neural progenitor cells(hNPCs)and causes fetal microcephaly upon maternal infection.hNPCs not only play critical roles during fetal brain development,but also persist in adult brain throughout life.Yet the mechanism of innate antiviral immunity in hNPCs remains largely unknown.Here,we show that ZIKV infection triggers the abundant production of virus-derived small interfering RNAs in hNPCs,but not in the more differentiated progenies or somatic cells.Ablation of key RNAi machinery components significantly enhances ZIKV replication in hNPCs.Furthermore,enoxacin,a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is known as an RNAi enhancer,exerts potent anti-ZIKV activity in hNPCs and other RNAi-competent cells.Strikingly,enoxacin treatment completely prevents ZIKV infection and circumvents ZIKV-induced microcephalic phenotypes in brain organoid models that recapitulate human fetal brain development.Our findings highlight the physiological importance of RNAi-mediated antiviral immunity during the early stage of human brain development,uncovering a novel strategy to combat human congenital viral infections through enhancing RNAi.Yan-Peng Xu Yang Qiu Boya Zhang Guilai Chen Qi Chen Miao Wang Fan Mo Jiuyue Xu Jin Wu Rong-Rong Zhang Meng-Li Cheng Na-Na Zhang Bao Lyu Wen-Liang Zhu Meng-Hua Wu Qing Ye Da Zhang Jiang-Hong Man Xiao-Feng Li Jie Cui Zhiheng Xu Baoyang Hu Xi Zhou Cheng-Feng Qin 2019Cell Research2019,29,4:8

11Nanoporous titanium implant surface promotes osteogenesis by suppressing osteoclastogenesis via integrin β1/FAKpY397/MAPK pathway显示文摘Macrophages and osteoclasts are both derived from monocyte/macrophage lineage,which plays as the osteoclastic part of bone metabolism.Although they are regulated by bone implant surface nanoarchitecture and involved in osseointegration,the beneath mechanism has not been simultaneously analyzed in a given surface model and their communication with osteoblasts is also blurring.Here,the effect of implant surface topography on monocyte/macrophage lineage osteoclastogenesis and the subsequent effect on osteogenesis are systematically investigated.The nanoporous surface is fabricated on titanium implant by etching and anodizing to get the nanotubes structure.The early bone formation around implant is significantly accelerated by the nanoporous surface in vivo.Meanwhile,the macrophage recruitment and osteoclast formation are increased and decreased respectively.Mechanistically,the integrin mediated FAK phosphorylation and its downstream MAPK pathway(p-p38)are significantly downregulated by the nanoporous surface,which account for the inhibition of osteoclastogenesis.In addition,the nanoporous surface can alleviate the inhibition of osteoclasts on osteogenesis by changing the secretion of clastokines,and accelerate bone regeneration by macrophage cytokine profiles.In conclusion,these data indicate that physical topography of implant surface is a critical factor modulating monocyte/macrophage lineage commitment,which provides theoretical guidance and mechanism basis for promoting osseointegration by coupling the osteogenesis and osteoclastogenesis.Yide He Zhe Li Xin Ding Boya Xu Jinjin Wang Yi Li Fanghao Chen Fanhui Meng Wen Song Yumei Zhang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:4

13A Novel Multi-Modal OAM Vortex Electromagnetic Wave Microstrip Array Antenna显示文摘In this paper,we combine the circular polarization technology and orbital angular momentum(OAM)into the array antenna design for the first time,achieve free switch of the different topological charges in the array by using high-speed radio frequency(RF)switch technology.We arrange microstrip patch antenna elements equidistantly along the circumference to form eight elements multi-modal OAM vortex electromagnetic wave microstrip array antenna.It can generate elec-tromagnetic waves with dual characteristics of circular polarization and multi-modal vortex OAM(where OAM mode values are l=0,l=±1,l=±2,l=±3).Through simulation,we find mutual coupling between the radiating elements is small relatively,and increasing the number of array elements can not only improve the beam quality,but also generate electromagnetic waves with a higher order of OAM modes.Antenna model can meet the basic demands of ordinary array antenna,and also confirm the practicality of this circular polarized microstrip antenna array model.Xuehong Sun Jianfeng Shao Boya Dan Qiang Li 2019Journal of Communications and Information Networks2019,4,4:3
14Isolation and Characterization of a Cinnamoyl CoA Reductase Gene(CCR) in Pear(Pyrus pyrifolia)显示文摘Pear is a popular and commercially important fresh fruit, and its texture is related to the presence of sclereid formatted by parenchyma cell with lignification in vascular plants. Previous studies have demonstrated that content of lignin may be regulated by cinnamoyl CoA reductase(CCR) in various plants. However, the function of CCR in pears remains very limited. In the present study, we isolated a cDNA encoding CCR(PpCCR, GenBank accession No. KF999958) and its promoter(proPpCCR) from Whangkeumbae pear to investigate the function of CCR in lignin biosynthesis. PpCCR-GFP expressed in rice mesophyll protoplast demonstrated that PpCCR-GFP was localized in the cytoplasm, indicating that CCR may function in cytoplasm without localization signals. In transgenic plants carrying PpCCR, we observed higher lignin content compared with that in wild type plants, further suggesting that PpCCR can affect the lignin contents through regulating lignin biosynthesis in Arabidopsis thaliana. 16Impacts of plant secondary metabolites from conifer litter on the decomposition of Populus purdomii litter显示文摘A decomposition experiment of Populus purdomii litter,a commonly used afforestation species in the Qinling Mountains,China,was conducted.Water extracts of five conifer litters were used to treat P.purdomii litter and its soil.The P.purdomii litter was incubated at room temperature(20–25℃)and constant soil moisture for 6 months.During the decomposition period,the dynamics of litter mass and nutrient contents were detected to investigate the impacts of plant secondary metabolites.The results indicate that litter extracts of Pinus tabuliformis,Platycladus orientalis,Pinus armandii and Larix principisrupprechtii significantly inhibited the overall nutrient release of P.purdomii litter,while the last three types of litter extracts simultaneously inhibited its decomposition.Conversely,the litter extracts of Picea asperata significantly accelerated the overall nutrient release of P.purdomii.Generally,most of the conifer species,whose litter released terpenoids,phenolics,steroids,and aliphatic acids,will inhibit the decomposition and/or nutrient release from P.purdomii litter.Their negative effects on the decomposers and soil enzymatic activities indicates that planting diversity should be lower when mixed planted with P.purdomii.Xiaoxi Zhang Boya Wang Zengwen Liu 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,6:2
17MOF-derived Co_(9)S_(8) nano-flower cluster array modified separator towards superior lithium sulfur battery显示文摘Lithium sulfur batteries with high energy density are thought to be the most potential energy storage technology that can be commercialized.However,the shuttle effect of polysulfides deteriorates its electrochemical performance.Herein,a novel Co_(9)S_(8)nanostructure derived from metal organic framework material(MOF)was explored by simple liquid phase reaction and heat vulcanization of2-methylimidazole and Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6 H_(2)O on the surface of the original PP separator.The Co_(9)S_(8)nano-flower cluster array wall was vertically and closely arranged with the thickness of 200 nm,and the polysulfide can be adsorbed by its physical and chemical action to slow down the'shuttle effect'.It is found that the cell with the modified separator can achieve an ideal discharge capacity of about 600 mAh/g at 1 C.The specific capacity is maintained at 500 mAh/g after 200 cycles,with only 0.11%of capacity decay per cycle.It provides a new way for the utilization of MOF material derivatives to modify the separator in order to improve the electrochemical performance of lithium-sulfur batteries.Qi Wang Hanqing Zhao Boya Li Chenhui Yang Mingyang Li Yanan Li Peng Han Miaomiao Wu Tengyu Li Ruiping Liu 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,3:2

PDMS membrane pervaporation coupled with fermentation is a promising process for efficient bioethanol production since ethanol inhibition is relieved or eliminated. From the perspective of process operation, membrane separation performance, ethanol fermentation performance and the subsequent processing on membrane downstream are the three key issues. This review aims at contributing a comprehensive overview on the operation performance of the integrated process.
