4First observations of low latitude whistlers using WHU ELF/VLF receiver system显示文摘The recently developed high-quality WHU ELF/VLF receiver system has been deployed in Suizhou, China(geomagnetic latitude 21.81°N, longitude 174.44°E, L=1.16) to detect low latitude extremely-low-frequency(ELF: 0.3-3 k Hz) and very-low-frequency(VLF: 3-30 k Hz) emissions originating from either natural or artificial sources since February 2016. During the first-month operation of the receiver system, a total of 3039 clear whistlers have been recorded at this low latitude station with the majority(97.0%) occurring on 28 February and 1 March 2016. Observed whistlers manifest various types including single one-hop, echo train, multi-flash, and multi-path. They tend to intensify after local midnight, reach the peak around 04-05 LT, and then weaken quickly. Both features of lower cutoff frequencies of most whistlers below ~1.6 k Hz and almost uniform dispersion for many successive multi-flash whistlers suggest that these whistlers propagate along the geomagnetic field lines in the duct mode. 5DMM:A dynamic memory mapping model for virtual machines显示文摘Memory virtualization is an important part in the design of virtual machine monitors(VMM).In this paper,we proposed dynamic memory mapping(DMM) model,a mechanism that allows the VMM to change the mapping between a virtual machine's physical memory and the underlying hardware resource while the virtual machine is running.By utilizing DMM,the VMM can implement many novel memory management policies,such as Demand Paging,Swapping,Ballooning,Memory Sharing and Copy-On-Write,while preserving compatibility with various architectures.The modular and hierarchical property of the DMM model efficiently incorporates the high-level policies and the low-level implementations,leading to a feature-adjustable VMM design.We presented the principle of the DMM model,and explained the procedures of various memory management policies under this model.Also,we implement the DMM model in KVM,an open source VMM.Our evaluation shows that the DMM model is efficient enough to provide the benefits of dynamic memory resource management with little performance impact.CHEN HaoGang WANG XiaoLin WANG ZhenLin ZHANG BinBin LUO YingWei LI XiaoMing 2010Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,6:11

7Coal and rock fissure evolution and distribution characteristics of multi-seam mining显示文摘Henan Pingdingshan No.10 mine is prone to both coal and gas outbursts.The E_(9-10)coal seam is the main coal-producing seam but has poor quality ventilation,thus making it relatively difficult for gas extraction.The F_(15)coal seam,at its lower section,is not prone to coal and gas outbursts.The average seam separation distance of 150 m is greater than the upper limit for underside protective seam mining.Based on borehole imaging technology for field exploration of coal and rock fracture characteristics and discrete element numerical simulation,we have studied the evolution laws and distribution characteristics of the coal and rock fissure field between these two coal seams.By analysis of the influential effect of group F coal mining on the E_(9-10)coal seam,we have shown that a number of small fissures also develop in the area some 150 m above the overlying strata.The width and number of the fissures also increase with the extent of mining activity.Most of the fissures develop at a low angle or even parallel to the strata.The results show that the mining of the F_(15)coal seam has the effect of improving the permeability of the E_(9-10)coal seam.Zhang Dongming Qi Xiaohan Yin Guangzhi Zheng Binbin 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,6:11
8Influence of N on precipitation behavior,associated corrosion and mechanical properties of super austenitic stainless steel S32654显示文摘The influence of N on the precipitation behavior,associated corrosion,and mechanical properties of S32654 were investigated by microstructural,electrochemical,and mechanical analyses.Increasing the N content results in several alterations:(1) grain refinement,which promotes intergranular precipitation;(2) a linear increase in the driving force for Cr2 N and Mo activity,which accelerates the precipitation of intergranular Cr2 N and π phase,respectively;(3) a linear decrease in the driving force for σ phase and Cr activity,which suppresses the formation of intragranular σ phase.The total amount of precipitates first decreased and then increased with the N content increasing.Furthermore,the intergranular corrosion susceptibility depended substantially on the total amount of precipitates and also first exhibited a decreasing and then an increasing trend as the N content increased.In addition,aging precipitation caused a considerable decrement in the ultimate tensile strength(UTS) and a remarkable increment in the yield strength(YS).Both the UTS and YS always increased with N content increasing throughout the solution and aging process.Whereas the elongation was considerably sensitive to the aging treatment,it exhibited marginal variation with the N content increasing.Shucai Zhang Huabing Li Zhouhua Jiang Zhixing Li Jingxi Wu Binbin Zhang Fei Duan Hao Feng Hongchun Zhu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,7:10
9Effect of nitrogen on corrosion behaviour of a novel high nitrogen medium-entropy alloy CrCoNiN manufactured by pressurized metallurgy显示文摘A novel high nitrogen medium-entropy alloy CrCoNiN, which had higher strength and slightly lower ductility than CrCoNi alloy, was successfully manufactured by pressurized metallurgy. The microstructure and corrosion behaviour were investigated by microscopic, electrochemical and spectroscopic methods.The results indicated that nitrogen existed in the form of Cr_2N precipitates and uniformly distributed N atoms, and nitrogen alloying significantly refined the grain size. Besides, nitrogen enriched on the outmost surface of passive film and metal/film interface as ammonia(NH-_3 and NH_4^+) and CrN, respectively. 11Different Expression Analysis in Fruit Softening and Ethylene Biosynthetic Pathways in Peaches of Different Flesh Textures显示文摘The aim of our study was to assess differences in the expression of genes involved in fruit softening and ethylene biosynthetic pathways under different temperature storage conditions. Different peach cultivars of ‘Xiacui' and ‘Yumyeong', which are stonyhard, ‘Yinhualu', which is softmelting, ‘Hujing Milu', which is hard-melting, and ‘Baby Gold 6', which is non-melting at 80% ripening, were collected as test materials. The results showed that only slight ethylene production was detected after harvesting of ‘Yumyeong' and ‘Xiacui' under either a room temperature(25 °C) or low temperature(4 °C). The fruit firmness of stonyhard cultivars was retained at a high level under room temperature over time, whereas a low temperature induced ‘Yumyeong' fruit to soften. Quantitative real-time PCR results indicated that the PpACS1 gene was highly expressed in soft-melting, hard-melting and non-melting cultivars; however, expression was extremely low in stonyhard peaches. PpACS2 or PpACS3, however,was not detected in all five cultivars. Interestingly, cold treatment significantly decreased firmness along with endo-PG expression obviously upregulated in ‘Yumyeong', but not in ‘Xiacui' peaches. 12Identification of the anomaly component using BEMD combined with PCA from element concentrations in the Tengchong tin belt, SW China显示文摘Concentration of elements or element groups in a geological body is the result of multiple stages of rockforming and ore-forming geological processes.An ore-forming element group can be identified by PCA(principal component analysis)and be separated into two components using BEMD(bi-dimensional empirical mode decomposition):(1)a high background component which represents the ore-forming background developed in rocks through various geological processes favorable for mineralization(i.e.magmatism,sedimentation and/or metamorphism);(2)the anomaly component which reflects the oreforming anomaly that is overprinted on the high background component developed during mineralization.Anomaly components are used to identify ore-finding targets more effectively than ore-forming element groups.Three steps of data analytical procedures are described in this paper;firstly,the application of PCA to establish the ore-forming element group;secondly,using BEMD on the o re-forming element group to identify the anomaly components created by different types of mineralization processes;and finally,identifying ore-finding targets based on the anomaly components.This method is applied to the Tengchong tin-polymetallic belt to delineate ore-finding targets,where four targets for Sn(W)and three targets for Pb-Zn-Ag-Fe polymetallic mineralization are identified and defined as new areas for further prospecting.It is shown that BEMD combined with PCA can be applied not only in extracting the anomaly component for delineating the ore-finding target,but also in extracting the residual component for identifying its high background zone favorable for mineralization from its oreforming element group.Yongqing Chen Lina Zhang Binbin Zhao 2019Geoscience Frontiers2019,10,4:7
13Reconstruction of a hybrid nucleoside antibiotic gene cluster based on scarless modification of large DNA fragments显示文摘Genetic modification of large DNA fragments(gene clusters) is of great importance in synthetic biology and combinatorial biosynthesis as it facilitates rational design and modification of natural products to increase their value and productivity.In this study,we developed a method for scarless and precise modification of large gene clusters by using RecET/RED-mediated polymerase chain reaction(PCR) targeting combined with Gibson assembly.In this strategy,the biosynthetic genes for peptidyl moieties(HPHT) in the nikkomycin biosynthetic gene cluster were replaced with those for carbamoylpolyoxamic acid(CPOAA)from the polyoxin biosynthetic gene cluster to generate a^40 kb hybrid gene cluster in Escherichia coli with a reusable targeting cassette.The reconstructed cluster was introduced into Streptomyces lividans TK23 for heterologous expression and the expected hybrid antibiotic,polynik A,was obtained and verified.This study provides an efficient strategy for gene cluster reconstruction and modification that could be applied in synthetic biology and combinatory biosynthesis to synthesize novel bioactive metabolites or to improve antibiotic production.Jiming Zhuo Binbin Ma Jingjing Xu Weihong Hu Jihui Zhang Huarong Tan Yuqing Tian 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,9:6
14Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 16Abnormal Metabolic Connectivity in Rats at the Acute Stage of Ischemic Stroke显示文摘Stroke at the acute stage is a major cause of disability in adults, and is associated with dysfunction of brain networks. However, the mechanisms underlying changes in brain connectivity in stroke are far from fully elucidated. In the present study, we investigated brain metabolism and metabolic connectivity in a rat ischemic stroke model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)at the acute stage using18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography. Voxel-wise analysis showed decreased metabolism mainly in the ipsilesional hemisphere, and increased metabolism mainly in the contralesional cerebellum. We used further metabolic connectivity analysis to explore the brain metabolic network in MCAO.Compared to sham controls, rats with MCAO showed most significantly reduced nodal and local efficiency in the ipsilesional striatum. In addition, the MCAO group showed decreased metabolic central connection of the ipsilesional striatum with the ipsilesional cerebellum, ipsilesional hippocampus, and bilateral hypothalamus. 17Effect of Bag Removing with Reflective Film Mulching Before Harvest on Fruit Coloration and Expression of Anthocyanin Related Genes in Peach显示文摘Appearance quality is the main element forming the fruit quality. Both bagging and reflective film application can improve appearance comprehensive quality. In order to determine the effects of bagging and reflective film on peach fruit coloration, this study explored the effects of applying reflective film before harvest on fruit appearance quality of peach(Prunus persica), and discussed the influencing mechanism on fruit coloration. Yellow outside and black inside double-layer bags were removed from fruit twelve days d before harvest. Peel color, pigment content, enzyme activity as well as the gene expression related to fruit coloration of a well-colored and late-ripening peach cultivar ‘Xiahui 8' with different treatments(non-bagging with non-reflective film mulching, debagging with non-reflective film mulching, debagging with reflective film mulching) were researched. The results showed that both debagging with non-reflective film mulching and debagging with reflective film mulching could significantly improve red and green color difference value(a*), a*/b*(b* is yellow and blue color difference value), chroma(C), anthocyanin(Ant) content and reduce hue angle(h), while debagging with reflective film mulching had higher Ant content than debagging with non-reflective film mulching(P < 0.05). The two treatments up-regulated the transcript level of anthocyanin biosynthetic related genes(UFGT, CHS) at the beginning of the experiment, however, the expression of DFR, LDOX and F3 H were enhanced along with the testing process. A downward trend on peel phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL) activity of non-bagging with non-reflective film mulching was observed during the experiment, however, the peel PAL activity of the other two treatments first increased and then decreased. What's more, peel PAL activity of debagging with reflective film mulching was higher than debagging with non-reflective film mulching. 18Double layered superhydrophobic PDMS-Candle soot coating with durable corrosion resistance and thermal-mechanical robustness显示文摘Nature-inspired superhydrophobic coatings with typical Cassie-Baxter contacts garner numerous interests for multifunctional applications.However,undesirable poor mechanical and thermal stability are still crucial bottlenecks for real-world employment.This work introduces a cost-effective,fluorine free and versatile strategy to achieve double-layered PDMS agglutinated candle soot coating with superior water-repellent superhydrophobicity.The surface morphologies,chemical compositions and wettability behaviors were investigated in detail.The mechanical stability,chemical stability and durable corrosion resistance of the fabricated PDMS-CS coating were evaluated through friction,calcination and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.The results demonstrate a remarkably enhanced mechanical robustness and corrosion resistance,indicating PDMS units can act as an effective agglutinating agent between candle soot and underlying substrate.The synergistic effect of PDMS agglutination,porous network nanostructures and extremely low surface energy of incomplete combustion induced candle soot deposition contribute to the eventually robust corrosion resisting coating,which greatly increases the possibility for practical applications.Binbin Zhang Jizhou Duan Yanliang Huang Baorong Hou 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,12:4
19Ultralight Magnetic and Dielectric Aerogels Achieved by Metal-Organic Framework Initiated Gelation of Graphene Oxide for Enhanced Microwave Absorption显示文摘The development of a convenient methodology for synthesizing the hierarchically porous aerogels comprising metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)and graphene oxide(GO)building blocks that exhibit an ultralow density and uniformly distributed MOFs on GO sheets is important for various applications.Herein,we report a facile route for synthesizing MOF/reduced GO(rGO)aerogels based on the gelation of GO,which is directly initiated using MOF crystals.Free metal ions exposed on the surface of MIL-88A nanorods act as linkers that bind GO nanosheets to a three-dimensional porous network via metal–oxygen covalent or electrostatic interactions.The MOF/rGOderived magnetic and dielectric aerogels Fe_(3)O_(4)@C/rGO and Ni-doped Fe_(3)O_(4)@C/rGO show notable microwave absorption(MA)performance,simultaneously achieving strong absorption and broad bandwidth at low thickness of 2.5(-58.1 dB and 6.48 GHz)and 2.8 mm(-46.2 dB and 7.92 GHz)with ultralow filling contents of 0.7 and 0.6 wt%,respectively.The microwave attenuation ability of the prepared aerogels is further confirmed via a radar cross-sectional simulation,which is attributed to the synergistic effects of their hierarchically porous structures and heterointerface engineering.This work provides an effective pathway for fabricating hierarchically porous MOF/rGO hybrid aerogels and offers magnetic and dielectric aerogels for ultralight MA.Xiaogu Huang Jiawen Wei Yunke Zhang BinBin Qian Qi Jia Jun Liu Xiaojia Zhao Gaofeng Shao 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,7:4
20Dynamic memory paravirtualization transparent to guest OS显示文摘This paper introduces dynamic paravirtualization, which imitates paravirtualization and aims at reducing VM exits of full virtualization with hardware support. In dynamic paravirtualization, VMM (virtual machine monitor) dynamically monitors and replaces the hot instructions, which cause most VM exits. It is transparent to the guest OS such that the legacy OSes can benefit from this optimization. Our study focuses on reducing the overhead of memory virtualization-dynamic memory paravirtualization (DMP). We implant a new memory management mechanism in VMM such that all user-mode page faults can be handled by the guest OS directly without VM exits. We implement a prototype of dynamic memory paravirtulization based on a version of KVM using Intel VT. Our experimental results show that our technique essentially eliminates the overhead of VM exits caused by page faults.
