1Electroacupuncture activates enteric glial cells and protects the gut barrier in hemorrhaged rats显示文摘AIM:To investigate whether electroacupuncture ST36 activates enteric glial cells,and alleviates gut inflammation and barrier dysfunction following hemorrhagic shock.METHODS:Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to approximately 45% total blood loss and randomly divided into seven groups:(1) sham:cannulation,but no hemorrhage;(2) subjected to hemorrhagic shock(HS);(3) electroacupuncture(EA) ST36 after hemorrhage;(4) vagotomy(VGX)/EA:VGX before hemorrhage,then EA ST36;(5) VGX:VGX before hemorrhage;(6) a-bungarotoxin(BGT)/EA:intraperitoneal injection of a-BGT before hemorrhage,then EA ST36; and(7) a-BGT group:a-BGT injection before hemorrhage.Morphological changes in enteric glial cells(EGCs) were observed by immunofluorescence,and glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP; a protein marker of enteric glial activation) was evaluated using reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis.Intestinal cytokine levels,gut permeability to 4-k Da fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC)-dextran,and the expression and distribution of tight junction protein zona occludens(ZO)-1 were also determined.RESULTS:EGCs were distorted following hemorrhage and showed morphological abnormalities.EA ST36 attenuated the morphological changes in EGCs at 6 h,as compared with the VGX,a-BGT and HS groups.EA ST36 increased GFAP expression to a greater degree than in the other groups.EA ST36 decreased intestinal permeability to FITC-dextran(760.5 ± 96.43 ng/m L vs 2466.7 ± 131.60 ng/m L,P < 0.05) and preserved ZO-1 protein expression and localization at 6 h afterhemorrhage compared with the HS group.However,abdominal VGX and a-BGT treatment weakened or eliminated the effects of EA ST36.EA ST36 reduced tumor necrosis factor-a levels in intestinal homogenates after blood loss,while vagotomy or intraperitoneal injection of a-BGT before EA ST36 abolished its antiinflammatory effects.CONCLUSION:EA ST36 attenuates hemorrhageinduced intestinal inflammatory insult,and protects the intestinal barrier integrity,partly via activation of EGCs.Sen Hu Zeng-Kai Zhao Rui Liu Hai-Bin Wang Chun-Yu Gu Hong-Min Luo Huan Wang Ming-Hua Du Yi Lv Xian Shi 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,5:15

3LA-ICP-MS Zircon U-Pb Dating of Intermediate-Acidic Intrusive Rocks and Molybdenite Re-Os Dating from the Bangpu Mo (Cu) Deposit, Tibet and its Geological Implication显示文摘The multi-stage intrusions of intermediate-acid magma occur in the Bangpu mining district, the petrogenic ages of which have been identified. The times and sequences of their emplacement have been collated and stipulated in detail in this paper by using the laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) zircon U-Pb dating method. The ages of biotite monzogranite that were formed before mineralization in the southwest of this mining district are 70±1 Ma (mean square of weighted deviates (MSWD) =9.5, n=8) and 60.60±0.31 Ma (MSWD=3.8, n=16), which belong to the late Cretaceous-early Paleocene in age. That means, they are products of an early tectonicmagmatic event of the collision between the Indian and Asian continentals. The ages of ore-bearing monzogranite porphyry and ore-bearing diorite porphyrite are 16.23±0.19 Ma (MSWD=2.0, n=26) and 15.16±0.09 Ma (MSWD=3.9, n=5) separately, which belong to the middle Miocene in age; namely, they are products of the Gangdese post-collision extensional stage when crust-mantle materials melted and mixed as well as magmatic intrusion simultaneously occurred. Some zircons with ages of 203.6±2.2 Ma (MSWD=1.18, n=7) were captured in the ore-bearing diorite porphyrite, which shows that there had been tectono-magmatic events in the late Triassic-early Jurassic. Molybdenum (copper) ore-bodies produced in the monzogranite porphyry and copper (molybdenum) ore-bodies produced in the diorite porphyrite are the main ore types in this ore deposit. The model ages of Re-Os isotopic dating for the 11 molybdenite are 13.97-15.84 Ma, while isochron ages are 14.09±0.49 Ma (MSWD=26). The isochron ages of seven molybdenite from molybdenum (copper) ore with monzogranite porphyry type are 14.11±0.31 Ma (MSWD=5.2). There is great error in the isochron ages of four molybdenite from copper (molybdenum) ore with diorite porphyrite type, and their weighted average model ages of 14.6±1.2 Ma (MSWD=41), which generally represent the mineralization age. The results about the Re-Os isotopic dating of molybdenite in the ore of different types have limited exactly that, the minerlazation age of this ore deposits is about 14.09 Ma, which belongs to the middle Miocene mineralization. 4Calibration of soft sensor by using Just-in-time modeling and Ada Boost learning method显示文摘Soft sensor is an efficacious solution to predict the hard-to-measure target variable by using the process variables.In practical application scenarios, however, the feedback cycle of target variable is usually larger than that of the process variables, which causes the deficiency of prediction errors. Consequently soft sensor cannot be calibrated timely and deteriorates. We proposed a soft sensor calibration method by using Just-in-time modeling and Ada Boost learning method. A moving window consisting of a primary part and a secondary part is constructed.The primary part is made of history data from certain number of constant feedback cycles of target variable and the secondary part includes some coarse target values estimated initially by Just-in-time modeling during the latest feedback cycle of target variable. The data set of the whole moving window is processed by Ada Boost learning method to build an auxiliary estimation model and then target variable values of the latest corresponding feedback cycle are reestimated. Finally the soft sensor model is calibrated by using the reestimated target variable values when the target feedback is unavailable; otherwise using the feedback value. 5Geomicrobial functional groups:A window on the interaction between life and environments显示文摘Microbes are well-known for their great diversity and abundance in modern natural environments.They also are believed to pro-vide critical links among higher organisms and their associated environments.However,the low diversity of morphological fea-tures and structures of ancient microbes preserved in sediments and rocks make them difficult to identify and classify.This diffi-culty greatly hinders the investigation of geomicrobes throughout Earth history.Thus,most previous paleontological studies have focused on faunal and floral fossils.Here,geomicrobial functional groups(GFGs),or a collection of microbes featured in specific ecological,physiological or biogeochemical functions,are suggested to provide a way to overcome the difficulties of ancient mi-crobe investigations.GFGs are known for their great diversity in ecological,physiological and biogeochemical functions.In addi-tion,GFGs may be preserved as the biogeochemical,mineralogical and sedimentological records in sediments and rocks.We reviewed the functions,origins and identification diagnostics of some important GFGs involved in the elemental cycles of carbon,sulfur,nitrogen and iron.GFGs were further discussed with respect to their significant impacts on paleoclimate,sulfur chemistry of ancient seawater,nutritional status of geological environments,and the deposition of Precambrian banded iron formations.XIE ShuCheng YANG Huan LUO GenMing HUANG XianYu LIU Deng WANG YongBiao GONG YiMing XU Rana 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,1:11
6Interfacial structure design of MXene-based nanomaterials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion显示文摘2D transition metal carbides,carbonitrides,and nitrides known as MXenes possess high electrical conductivity,large redox active surface area,rich surface chemistry,and tunable structures.Benefiting from these exceptional chemical and physical properties,the applications of MXenes for electrochemical energy storage and conversion have attracted increasing research interests around the world.Notably,the electrochemical performances of MXenes are directly dependent on their synthesis conditions,interfacial chemistries and structural configurations.In this review,we summarize the synthesis techniques of MXenes,as well as the recent advances in the interfacial structure design of MXene-based nanomaterials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion applications.Additionally,we provide an in-depth discussion on the relationship between interfacial structure and electrochemical performance from the perspectives of energy storage and electrocatalysis mechanisms.Finally,the challenges and insights for the future research of interfacial structure design of MXenes are outlined.Jianmin Luo Edward Matios Huan Wang Xinyong Tao Weiyang Li 2020InfoMat2020,2,6:10
7Joint contractures in severe burn patients with early rehabilitation intervention in one of the largest burn intensive care unit in China:a descriptive analysis显示文摘Background:Joint contracture is the major clinical complication in burn patients,especially,the severe burn patients.This study aimed to investigate the number and severity of joint contractures in patients with burns affecting greater than or equal to 50%of the total body surface area(TBSA)undergoing early rehabilitation in a burn intensive care unit(BICU).Methods:We analyzed burn patients with burns affecting greater than or equal to 50%of the TBSA admitted to a BICU who received early rehabilitation within 7 days post-injury from January 2011 to December 2015.Demographic and medical information was collected.The range of motion(ROM)of different joints was measured 1 month post-admission.Spearman’s correlation coefficient and logistic regression analysis was used to determine predictors of the presence and severity of contractures.Result:The average affected TBSA of the included burn patients was 67.4%,and the average length of stay in the BICU was 46.2±28.8 days.One hundred and one of 108 burn patients(93.5%)developed at least one joint contracture.The ROM in 67.9%of the affected joints was mildly limited.The majority of contractures in severe burn patients were mild(37.7%)or moderate(33.2%).The wrist was the most commonly affected joint(18.2%),followed by the shoulder,ankle,hip,knee,and elbow.A predictor of the presence of contractures was the length of hospital stay(p=0.049).The severe contracture was related to the area of full-thickness burns,the strict bed rest time,and the duration of rehabilitation in BICU.The length of rehabilitation stay(days)in patients with moderate contracture is 54.5%longer than that in severe contracture(p=0.024)Conclusion:During the long stay in BICU,the length of rehabilitation stay in a BICU could decrease the severity of contractures from severe to moderate in the patients with equal to 50%of the TBSA.Hence,this research reveals the important role of early rehabilitation interventions in severe burn patients.Jianglin Tan Jian Chen Junyi Zhou Huapei Song Huan Deng Ming Ao Gaoxing Luo Jun Wu 2019Burns & Trauma2019,7,1:9

11Oxidation of gaseous elemental mercury in a high voltage discharge reactor显示文摘Effects of the voltage waveform, discharge tooth wheel number and CO2/NO/SO2 concentration in the simulated flue gas on Hg0 oxidation were investigated using a link tooth wheel-cylinder reactor energized by different high voltage power supplies. Negative DC discharge induced more ozone production and a higher Hg0 oxidation efficiency than positive DC discharge and 12 kHz AC discharge. The discharge tooth wheel number had almost no effect on the maximum Hg0 oxidation efficiency. The allowable supplied voltage decreased with the increase of discharge tooth wheel number. CO2 could stabilize the discharge process and increase the maximum voltage for a stable discharge. 12Superconductivity at 36 K in gadolinium-arsenide oxides GdO_(1-x)F_xFeAs显示文摘In this paper we report the fabrication and superconducting properties of GdO1-xFxFeAs. It was found that when x is equal to 0.17, GdO0.83F0.17FeAs is a su-perconductor with the onset transition temperature Tcon ≈ 36.6 K. Resistivity anomaly near 130 K was observed for all samples up to x = 0.17, and such a phenomenon is similar to that of LaO1-xFxFeAs. 13SNHG1 functions as an oncogenic lncRNA and promotes osteosarcoma progression by up-regulating S100A6 viamiR-493-5p显示文摘The mechanism behind the aberrant expression of S100A6 in osteosarcoma is seldom reported so far.This study sought to explore the regulatory axis targeting S100A6 involved in osteosarcoma progression.Clinical samples collected from osteosarcoma patients were used to detect the expressions of SNHG1,miR-493-5p,and S100A6 by western bolt analysis and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR).The effects of S100A6 on proliferation and osteogenic differentiation were investigated by the CCK-8 assay,colony formation assay,Ethynyl deoxyuridine staining,matrix mineralization assay,and alkaline phosphatase assay.The potential of lncRNAs/miRNAs targeting S100A6 was identified by the bioinformatics approach,and the results were verified by the dual luciferase assay and RNA immunoprecipitation assay.Both in vitro and in vivo rescue experiments were performed to investigate the regulatory relationship between the identified lncRNAs and S100A6.The results showed that S100A6 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma.S100A6 overexpression not only increases the proliferation but also reduces the osteogenic differentiation of osteosarcoma cells,while S1006A silence exerts the opposite effects.Then,SNHG1 is identified to directly interact with miR-493-5p to attenuate miR-493-5p binding to the 3′-untranslated region of S100A6.Notably,S100A6 silence partially rescues the effect of SNHG1 overexpression on proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of osteosarcoma cells.Furthermore,the suppressive role of SNHG1 silence in the growth of osteosarcoma xenograft tumors is countered by S100A6 overexpression.Collectively,this study reveals that S100A6 plays an important role in osteosarcoma progression,and SNHG1 promotes S100A6 expression by competitively sponging miR-493-5p.Qi Liu Jiaying Luo Huan Wang Lei Zhang Guoxin Jin 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,1:5

16Surface morphology and electronic structure in stoichiometric superconductor CaKFe_(4)As_(4) robed by scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy显示文摘CaKFe_(4)As_(4) is a new-type superconductor with a relatively high transition temperature of 35 K among stoichiometric iron-based superconductors. Based on scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy, the surface morphology and electronic structure of CaKFe_(4)As_(4) single crystal were systematically investigated. The cleaved CaKFe_(4)As_(4) showed various morphologies, such as atomically resolved 1×1, 1×2, and √2×√2 lattices. By analyzing the geometrical correlations of these morphologies, the 1×1 and 1×2 lattices were identified as the original and reconstructed As layers, respectively, whereas the √2×√2 lattice was distinguished as the reconstructed alkaline-earth-metal or alkali-metal layer. The superconducting energy gap of 7.3 me V and bosonic mode of 12.7 me V were resolved in the scanning tunneling spectra. In addition, the superconducting energy gaps measured on different terminations were identical and consistent with the values obtained by bulk-sensitive techniques, indicating that the electronic structures of CaKFe_(4)As_(4) were insensitive to the surface reconstructions. 17Diagnostic accuracy of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging for distinguishing pseudoprogression from glioma recurrence:a meta-analysis显示文摘Background:It is crucial to differentiate accurately glioma recurrence and pseudoprogression which have entirely different prognosis and require different treatment strategies.This study aimed to assess the diagnostic accuracy of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI)as a tool for distinguishing glioma recurrence and pseudoprogression.Methods:According to particular criteria of inclusion and exclusion,related studies up to May 1,2019,were thoroughly searched from several databases including PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,and Chinese biomedical databases.The quality assessment of diagnostic accuracy studies was applied to evaluate the quality of the included studies.By using the'mada'package in R,the heterogeneity,overall sensitivity,specificity,and diagnostic odds ratio were calculated.Moreover,funnel plots were used to visualize and estimate the publication bias in this study.The area under the summary receiver operating characteristic(SROC)curve was computed to display the diagnostic efficiency of DCE-MRI.Results:In the present meta-analysis,a total of 11 studies covering 616 patients were included.The results showed that the pooled sensitivity,specificity,and diagnostic odds ratio were 0.792(95%confidence interval[CI]0.707-0.857),0.779(95%CI 0.715-0.832),and 16.219(97.5%CI 9.123-28.833),respectively.The value of the area under the SROC curve was 0.846.In addition,the SROC curve showed high sensitivities(>0.6)and low false positive rates(<0.5)from most of the included studies,which suggest that the results of our study were reliable.Furthermore,the funnel plot suggested the existence of publication bias.Conclusions:While the DCE-MRI is not the perfect diagnostic tool for distinguishing glioma recurrence and pseudoprogression,it was capable of improving diagnostic accuracy.Hence,further investigations combining DCE-MRI with other imaging modalities are required to establish an efficient diagnostic method for glioma patients.Jun Qiu Zhen-Chao Tao Ke-Xue Deng Peng Wang Chuan-Yu Chen Fang Xiao Yi Luo Shu-Ya Yuan Hao Chen Huan Huang 2021Chinese Medical Journal2021,,21:5

19Microarray-based analyses of monocytes from Chinese Uygur patients with Parkinson's disease and cognitive impairment显示文摘Parkinson's disease (PD),a complex neurodegenerative disease,is characterized by the loss of dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra of the midbrain.PD patients have varying degrees of cognitive impairment (CI)1 that we term PD-CI.However,the etiology of these changes remains unexplained.We chose three Uygur male patients with PD-CI and three healthy controls of the same of nationality and sex to explore the pathogenesis of Xinjiang Uygur PD-CI using microarray-based gene expression profiling of monocytes. METHODS Subjects The cases were three Uygur men with PD-CI (sporadic) diagnosed by doctors of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University between November 2012 and January 2013.They were 65,72,and 75 years old and were screened using the BrainBank diagnostic criteria (United Kingdom).2 When necessary,diagnosis was confirmed using a head MRI or CT scan.Secondary PD,Parkinson's syndrome,hyperthyroidism and other genetic or neural diseases were excluded.The three healthy individuals in the control group were selected from a survey population about the incidence of PD in Urumqi and were of identical gender and ethnicity as the PD patients,but were not genetically related to the patient group.Their ages were 62,67,and 70 years.These six subjects were used for microarray-based analyzes.We also collected 31 cases of Uygur men with PD-CI (sporadic) and 35 healthy Uygur subjects for qRT-PCR verification of the microarray experiments.To investigate cognitive function,we used Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE).MMSE scores of junior high school level ≤24 are considered to indicate cognitive disorders.This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and with approval from the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.Written informed consent was obtained from all participants.Luo Qin Xia Huan Yang Xinling 2014Chinese Medical Journal2014,,12:4
20Maize orthologs of rice GS5 and their transregulator are associated with kernel development显示文摘Genome information from model species such as rice can assist in the cloning of genes in a complex genome,such as maize.Here,we identified a maize ortholog of rice GS5 that contributes to kernel development in maize.The genomewide association analysis of the expression levels of ZmGS5,and 15 of its 26 paralogs,identified a trans-regulator on chromosome 7,which was a BAKi-like gene.This gene that we named as ZmBAK1-7 could regulate the expression of ZmGS5 and three of the paralogs.Candidate-gene association analyses revealed that these five genes were associated with maize kernel development-related traits.Linkage analyses also detected that ZmGSs and ZmBAK1-7 co-localized with mapped QTLs.A transgenic analysis of ZmGS5 in Arabidopsis thaliana L.showed a significant increase in seed weight and cell number,suggesting that ZmGS5 may have a conserved function among different plant species that affects seed development.Jie Liu Min Deng Huan Guo Sharif Raihan Jingyun Luo Yuancheng Xu Xiaofei Dong Jianbing Yan 2015Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2015,57,11:4
