| 2 | History of the infantile hepatic hemangioma:From imaging to generating a differential diagnosis显示文摘We aim to provide an up-to-date summary of infantile hepatic hemangioma(IHH) and its misnomers and to dialectically present the differential diagnosis of these rare entities of the liver.Eligible peer-reviewed articles on hepatic infantile hemangiomas,published between 2000 and 2015,were reviewed for this study.IHH is the most common hepatic vascular tumor in children.Once a liver mass is identified in an infant,the differential diagnosis ranges from vascular malformations to benign and malignant tumors including mesenchymal hamartoma,hepatoblastoma,metastatic neuroblastoma,so careful physical examination,imaging studies,and,if indicated,tumor markers and biopsy,are of pivotal importance to ascertain the correct diagnosis.Despite the benign nature of IHHs,some of these lesions may demand medical and/or surgical intervention,especially for multiple and diffuse IHH.Complications can include hepatomegaly,hypothyroidism and cardiac failure.Therefore,a close follow-up is required until complete involution of the lesions.We propose an algorithm to guide the physicians towards the proper management of hepatic lesions. | Maria Gnarra Gerald Behr Alison Kitajewski June K Wu Sudha A Anupindi Carrie J Shawber Nick Zavras Dimitrios Schizas Chris Salakos Konstantinos P Economopoulos | 2016 | World Journal of Clinical Pediatrics2016，5，3： | 27 |

| 8 | Silurian-Devonian and Jurassic Thermal Events in the Ordos Basin, China: Indications from K-Ar Dating on Illites显示文摘In the Ordos basin, two distinct thermal events of different ages have been identified for the first time by means of K-Ar dating combined with illite crystallinity analysis. For the Late Triassic and Late Permian samples, the K-Ar ages of the < 0.2μm fractions (159-173 Ma) reflect an illitization age related to the Yanshanian movement and indicate a short thermal event in the Middle Jurassic; the K-Ar ages of the <2 μm fractions (210-308 Ma) are interpreted as mixed ages of detrital material and authigenic illites. | 9 | Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for acute respiratory distress syndrome in burn patients:a case series and literature update显示文摘Background:Acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)has a reported incidence of 34–43%in ventilated burn patients and is associated with a mortality of 59%in the severe form.The use and experience with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)in burn patients developing ARDS are still limited.We present our results and discuss the significance of ECMO in treating burn patients.Methods:A retrospective analysis of burn patients treated with ECMO for ARDS between January 2017 and January 2019 was performed.Demographic,clinical,and outcome data were collected and analyzed.Results:Eight burn patients were treated at our institution with ECMO in the designated time period.Of these,all but one patient had inhalation injury,burn percentage of TBSA was 37±23%,ABSI score was 8.4±2,and R-Bauxscore was 98±21.Seven patients developed severe ARDS and one patient moderate ARDS according to the Berlin classification with a PaO_(2)/FiO_(2) ratio upon initiation of ECMO therapy of 62±22 mmHg.ECMO duration was 388±283 h.Three patients died from severe sepsis while five patients survived to hospital discharge.Conclusions:ECMO is a viable therapy option in burn patients developing severe ARDS and can contribute to survival rates similar to ECMO therapy in non-burn-associated severe ARDS.Consequently,patients with severe respiratory insufficiency with unsuccessful conventional treatment and suspected worsening should be transferred to burn units with the possibility of ECMO treatment to improve outcome. | Mehran Dadras Johannes M.Wagner Christoph Wallner Julika Huber Dirk Buchwald Justus Strauch Kamran Harati Nicolai Kapalschinski Björn Behr Marcus Lehnhardt | 2019 | Burns & Trauma2019，7，1： | 2 |
