1Response of leaf photosynthetic characteristics of Syringa oblata and Syringa reticulata var.mandshurica to chilling stress显示文摘Syringa species not only have good ornamental properties but also play an important role in the landscaping and environmental purification of cities.To investigate the chilling stress resistance of Syringa oblata Lindl.and Syringa reticulata var.mandshurica and provide theoretical grounds for the practical cultivation of Syringa species,in vitro leaves were used to study photosynthetic gas exchange parameters and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters.After nine hours of chilling,decreasing rates of net photosynthesis,stomatal conductance,and transpiration in S.reticulata var.mandshurica leaves were significantly greater than that of the S.oblata,while intercellular CO2 concentrations in S.oblata leaves were higher than those in S.reticulata var.mandshurica.The quantum yield of PSII reaction center(APSII)declined in S.reticulata and light capture efficiency(Fv 0/Fm 0)was stable.However,reduction percentages of Fv 0/Fm 0,APSII,and Fv/Fm in S.oblata were significant higher than those of S.reticulata var.mandshurica.After nine hours of chilling,the relative variable fluorescence of VJ and VI of S.oblata increased and the increasing rate of VJ was greater than VI.In contrast,the change of VJ and VI in S.reticulata var.mandshurica leaves was relatively small.This suggests that chilling primarily damaged the electron transport process of QA to QB at the receptor site of the PSII reaction center.Photosynthetic capacity of S.oblata was more sensitive to chilling stress compared to S.reticulate var.mandshurica,which the limitations were mainly due to non-stomatal factors such as the decrease in electron transport efficiency,activity in the PSII reaction center,and the destruction of the photodamage defense system.Xiaojia Liu Baiyi An Na Gu Cainan Guo Xiaogang Sun He Wang 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,2:8
2Single Crystal Fibers:Diversified Functional Crystal Material显示文摘Single crystal fibers(SCF)are considered to be a combination of bulk crystals and conventional fibers,thereby possessing the stable physical and chemical properties accompanied with excellent waveguide properties.This paper gives a detailed introduction to the development history of single crystal fibers,including the evolution of the growth technique and the optimization of the growth process.Laser-heated pedestal growth(LHPG)and Micro-pulling-down(μ-PD)methods are considered to be the most widely used growth techniques for growing single crystal fibers,and the advantages of the two methods are also introduced in detail.The second part of this paper describes the characterization of single crystal fibers,including diameter fluctuation,crystal quality and optical losses.A series of cladding approaches for SCF,such as magnetron sputtering,sol-gel,liquid phase epitaxy,co-drawing LHPG,ion implantation and micro-structure cladding will be reviewed.In addition,the research status of single crystal fiber laser and single crystal fiber sensor are also summarized in view of the current research foundation.Tao Wang Jian Zhang Na Zhang Siyuan Wang Baiyi Wu Na Lin Peter Kusalik Zhitai Jia Xutang Tao 2019Advanced Fiber Materials2019,1,3:5
3Light-responsive and corrosion-resistant gas valve with non-thermal effective liquid-gating positional flow control显示文摘Safe and precise control of gas flow is one of the key factors to many physical and chemical processes,such as degassing,natural gas transportation,and gas sensor.In practical application,it is essential for the gas-involved physicochemical process to keep everything under control and safe,which significantly relies on the controllability,safety,and stability of their valves.Here we show a light-responsive and corrosion-resistant gas valve with non-thermal effective liquid-gating positional flow control under a constant pressure by incorporating dynamic gating liquid with light responsiveness of solid porous substrate.Our experimental and theoretical analysis reveal that the photoisomerization of azobenzene-based molecular photoswitches on the porous substrate enabled the gas valve to possess a light-responsive and reversible variation of substantial critical pressure of non-thermal effective gas flow switch.Moreover,the chemically inert gating liquid prevented the solid substrate from corrosion and,by combining with the high spatiotemporal resolution of light,the gas valve realizes a precisely positional open and close under a steady-state pressure.The application demonstrations in our results show the potentials of the new gas valve for bringing opportunities to many applications,such as gas-involved reaction control in microfluidics,soft actuators,and beyond.Baiyi Chen Rongrong Zhang Yaqi Hou Jian Zhang Shiyan Chen Yuhang Han Xinyu Chen Xu Hou 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,7:3
4全胸腔镜联合腹腔镜食管癌根治术与常规手术的临床对比研究(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim was to evaluate the best intra-thoracoscopic surgery technique between video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) combined with laparoscopy and right open transthoracic esophagectomy, in patients with esophageal cancer. Methods: From November 2006 to May 2008, 221 patients with esophageal cancer were enrolled in this study, prospective randomized in two groups. 111 patients were performed the VATS technique (Experimental group), whereas in the other 110 patients esophagectomy was adopted by thoracotomy (Control group). Results: The time consuming of Experimental group was 272.3 min in average with a standard deviation(std) of 57.9, and it was 218.7 min in average with std of 91.0 in the control group (P=0.000). The operative blood loss was 219.7±194.4 mL in the Experimental group, compared with 590.0±324.4 mL in the control group, with significant difference (P=0.000). Postoperative hospital stay of Experimental group was 9.6±1.7d, and it was 11.4±2.3d in the control group (P=0.000). There was no-delayed union of incision in the Experimental group, but 6.36% in the control group (P=0.007). The disorder of gastric emptying occurred 0.9% in the Experimental group, whereas 6.4% in the Control group. There was no significant difference in survival curves and rates (P=0.555). Conclusion: There were several advantages of VATS technique, such as reduced hemorrhage, better recovery, few complications, and great number of lymph node dissection, although there was no significant difference in long-term survival rate. 13Human intestinal Caco-2 cell model to evaluate the absorption of 7-ketophytosterols and their effects on cholesterol transport显示文摘7-Ketophytosterols are the major oxidation products of phytosterols in foods, which have been associated with atherosclerosis. However, their absorption mechanism remains unclear. The aim of our work was to investigate the absorption mechanism of 7-ketophytosterols and their effects on the cholesterol transport using Caco-2 cell model. The absorption percentage of 7-ketositosterol and 7-ketocampesterol was 1.16%-1.68% and 1.18%-2.23% respectively in the Caco-2 model, which is higher than that of their parent phytosterols, but lower than cholesterol-d7. The apparent permeability of 7-ketositosterol and 7-ketocampesterol at 30 μmol/L in the basolateral(BL)-to-apical(AP)direction were 0.42-and 0.55-fold of that in the AP-to-BL direction, indicating an active intake in the permeation mechanism of 7-ketophytosterols. Ezetimibe could significantly inhibit the transport of 7-ketophytosterols(P < 0.05), which means that their transport depends on niemann-pick c1-like 1(NPC1L1)protein. The transport of cholesterol-d7 was significantly inhibited by 7-ketophytosterols(P < 0.05). 15Disturbance identification of electric field data observed by the CSES-01 satellite before earthquakes显示文摘Numerous studies have confirmed that electromagnetic disturbances before earthquakes can be observed by satellites.In this study,we use the C-value method that includes the acoustic whistle signature;pre-seismic ionospheric electromagnetic disturbance signals were acquired based on the CSES-01 satellite electric field data,and the maximum value of C in the earthquake preparation zones increased continuously from 2.0 three days before the earthquake and reached a maximum weight of 3.0 on the day of the earthquake,after the earthquake,it gradually decreased and recovered to about 2.0;its the C values fluctuated between-2 and 3,it is different from the C values range-2–12 of the previous seismic case study using the DEMETER satellite,which may be related to the orbital altitude and revisit period of the satellite.Then,the C values were normalized,and the time series analysis of the obtained θ values were done,and the results showed that:In the pregnant zone,the background variation of the disturbance amplitude θ is within 2σ,and the maximum disturbance amplitude of θ starts to increase gradually from the seventh period(one period of 5 days,i.e.,35–39 days before the earthquake),it reached 2σ by the fourth preseismic cycle(20–24 days before the earthquake),and then dropped sharply to about 1.5σ in the third pre-seismic cycle(15–19days before the earthquake),after two cycles of increase,the θ over the epicenter reached a maximum of 2.1σ at the time of the earthquake(combining the time of the earthquake and the satellite flight characteristics,the epicenter period is defined as January25-January 29,2020,and this defines the study time period line),and the θ decreases to within 2 times the standard range after the earthquake;The negative value of the disturbance amplitude θ in the central region of the pregnant seismic zone during the earthquake shows the transient energy release process.Through comparison,the θ values obtained by normalization based on the C-value method takes into account the variation of the background field,and the result can better reflect the energy change of the ionospheric field before the earthquakes.Jianping HUANG Fuzhi ZHANG Zhong LI Xuhui SHEN Baiyi YANG Wenjing LI Zhima ZEREN Hengxin LU Qiao TAN 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,8:0
16Photothermally induced liquid gate with navigation control of the fluid transport显示文摘The ability to control multiphase flows is essential for applications such as microvalves,chemical analyses,mi-croreactors,and multiphase separators.Furthermore,more specific controls,including the positional naviga-tion control of fluids under steady-state pressures,will improve the development of these applications.Here,we present a fundamentally new photothermally induced liquid gating system that allows light-controlled con-tactless fluid transport and gas/liquid separations at designated locations,with seconds response times,under constant pressures.Experiments and theoretical calculations demonstrate the stability of our system and its novel regulation mechanism,which is based on a photothermally induced liquid-reconfigurable gate with a change in the surface/interfacial tension and Marangoni flow redistribution of the gating liquid at the illuminated location.This regulation mechanism with positional navigation properties requires neither mechanical parts nor complex accessories and can further enable the miniaturization and integration of various engineering processes.Our ap-plication demonstrations confirm the potential of this system in fields of smart valves,multiphase separations,multiphase microreactors,and beyond.Yuhang Han Yunmao Zhang Mengchuang Zhang Baiyi Chen Xinyu Chen Xu Hou 2021Fundamental Research2021,1,6:0

18Energy consumption pattern and indoor thermal environment of residential building in rural China显示文摘With the continuous deepening of China’s rural construction and development,people’s living conditions are improved day by day,while accompanied by energy and environment crisis issues.This paper mainly analyzes the energy consumption pattern and the indoor environment of rural households in China and discusses the energy-saving optimization strategies for improving the thermal environment of buildings.Questionnaire surveys and field surveys were conducted in three villages in Guanghan,China.The measurement results show that the annual indoor temperature range of the region in the summer is 15-31℃and the relative humidity range is 34%-96%.The average indoor temperatures in summer and winter are 28℃and 16℃respectively.The indoor thermal environment of rural buildings is usually poor and cannot meet the requirements of Chinese standards.At the same time,the architectural design and energy consumption pattern of rural households are different from those in urban areas as countryside has unique characteristics.Finally,we put forward certain energy-saving improvement measures at the end of the article.Baiyi Li Liyao You Min Zheng Yao Wang Ziguang Wang 2020Energy and Built Environment2020,1,3:0

20Pulmonary delivery of mucus-traversing PF127-modified silk fibroin nanoparticles loading with quercetin for lung cancer therapy显示文摘The mucosal barrier remains a major barrier in the pulmonary drug delivery system,as mucociliary clearance in the airway accelerates the removal of inhaled nanoparticles(NPs).Herein,we designed and developed the inhalable Pluronic F127-modified silk fibroin NPs loading with quercetin(marked as QR-SF(PF127)NPs),aiming to solve the airway mucus barrier and improve the cancer therapeutic effect of QR.The PF127 coating on the SF NPs could attenuate the interaction between NPs and mucin proteins,thus facilitating the diffusion of SF(PF127)NPs in the mucus layer.The QR-SF(PF127)NPs had particle sizes of approximately 200 nm with negatively charged surfaces and showed constant drug release properties.Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching(FRAP)assay and transepithelial transport test showed that QR-SF(PF127)NPs exhibited superior mucus-penetrating ability in artificial mucus and monolayer Calu-3 cell model.Notably,a large amount of QR-SF(PF127)NPs distributed uniformly in the mice airway section,indicating the good retention of NPs in the respiratory tract.Themicemelanoma lungmetastasismodel was established,and the therapeutic effect of QR-SF(PF127)NPs was significantly improved in vivo.PF127-modified SF NPs may be a promising strategy to attenuate the interaction with mucin proteins and enhancemucus penetration efficiency in the pulmonary drug delivery system.Yu Tang Lanfang Zhang Rui Sun Baiyi Luo Yu Zhou Yan Zhang Yuqi Liang Bo Xiao Chenhui Wang 2023Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,4:0
