1Structured illumination microscopy for super-resolution and optical sectioning显示文摘Optical microscopy plays an essential role in biological studies due to its capability and compatibility of non-contact,minimally invasive observation and measurement of live specimens.However,the conventional optical microscopy only has a spatial resolution about200 nm due to the Abbe diffraction limit,and also lacks the ability of three-dimensional imaging.Super-resolution farfield optical microscopy based on special illumination schemes has been dramatically developed over the last decade.Among them,only the structured illumination microscopy(SIM)is of wide-field geometry that enables it easily compatible with the conventional optical microscope.In this article,the principle of SIM was introduced in terms of point spread function(PSF)and optical transform function(OTF)of the optical system.The SIM for super-resolution(SIM-SR)proposed by Gustafsson et al.and the SIM for optical sectioning(SIM-OS)proposed by Neil et al.are the most popular ones in the research community of microscopy.They have the same optical configuration,but with different data postprocessing algorithms.We mathematically described the basic theories for both of the SIMs,respectively,and presented some numerical simulations to show the effects of super-resolution and optical sectioning.Various approaches to generation of structured illumination patterns were reviewed.As an example,a SIM system based on DMDmodulation and LED-illumination was demonstrated.A lateral resolution of 90 nm was achieved with gold nanoparticles.The optical sectioning capability of the microscope was demonstrated with Golgi-stained mouse brain neurons,and the sectioning strength of 930 nm was obtained.Dan Dan Baoli Yao Ming Lei 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,12:14
2Metastatic basaloid-squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus treated by 5-fluorouracil and cisplatin显示文摘Basaloid squamous cell carcinoma (BSC) of the esophagus is a rare malignant disease. We report here a patient with recurrent esophageal BSC,who was successfully treated by systemic chemotherapy containing 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and cisplatin (CDDP). A 57-year-old woman was diagnosed as having squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus upon endoscopic examination. Curative esophagectomy with lymph node dissection was performed under the thoracoscope. The pathological diagnosis of the surgical specimen was BSC. Five months after operation,the patient was diagnosed as having a recurrence of the BSC with metastases to the liver and spleen,and a right paraclavicular lymph node. She was given systemic chemotherapy consisting of continuous infusion of 800 mg/d of 5-FU and 3 h infusion of 20 mg/d of CDDP for 5 consecutive days every 4 wk. The metastatic lesions in the spleen and right paraclavicular lymph node disappeared,and the liver metastasis was apparently reduced in size after 2 courses of chemotherapy. The tumor regression was seen over 6 courses,with progression afterwards. 3Dual-wavelength in-line digital holography with untrained deep neural networks显示文摘Dual-wavelength in-line digital holography(DIDH)is one of the popular methods for quantitative phase imaging of objects with non-contact and high-accuracy features.Two technical challenges in the reconstruction of these objects include suppressing the amplified noise and the twin-image that respectively originate from the phase difference and the phase-conjugated wavefronts.In contrast to the conventional methods,the deep learning network has become a powerful tool for estimating phase information in DIDH with the assistance of noise suppressing or twin-image removing ability.However,most of the current deep learning-based methods rely on supervised learning and training instances,thereby resulting in weakness when it comes to applying this training to practical imaging settings.In this paper,a new DIDH network(DIDH-Net)is proposed,which encapsulates the prior image information and the physical imaging process in an untrained deep neural network.The DIDHNet can effectively suppress the amplified noise and the twin-image of the DIDH simultaneously by automatically adjusting the weights of the network.The obtained results demonstrate that the proposed method with robust phase reconstruction is well suited to improve the imaging performance of DIDH.CHEN BAI TONG PENG JUNWEI MIN RUNZE LI YUAN ZHOU BAOLI YAO 2021Photonics Research2021,9,12:3

5Digital holographic microscopy with phase-shift-free structured illumination显示文摘When structured illumination is used in digital holographic microscopy(DHM),each direction of the illumination fringe is required to be shifted at least three times to perform the phase-shifting reconstruction.In this paper,we propose a scheme for spatial resolution enhancement of DHM by using the structured illumination but without phase shifting.The structured illuminations of different directions,which are generated by a spatial light modulator,illuminate the sample sequentially in the object plane.The formed object waves interfere with a reference wave in an off-axis configuration,and a CCD camera records the generated hologram.After the object waves are reconstructed numerically,a synthetic aperture is performed by an iterative algorithm to enhance the spatial resolution.The resolution improvement of the proposed method is proved and demonstrated by both simulation and experiment.Juanjuan Zheng Peng Gao Baoli Yao Tong Ye Ming Lei Junwei Min Dan Dan Yanlong Yang Shaohui Yan 2014Photonics Research2014,2,3:2

7Quantum chemical study on the abstraction reaction of alkylidenegermylene with oxirane and thiirane显示文摘The mechanisms of theion reaction of alkylidenegermylene with oxirane and thiirane have been characterized detail in using density functional theory, as well as ab initio method, including geometry optimization and vibrational analysis for the involved stationary points on the potential energy surface. Energies were calculated by CCSD(T)/6-311G(d)//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) method for the involved conformations. The results show that the reaction pathways for both reactions consist of two ways: (1) the reactants can yield bent products (P1; P4) by syn-isomers; (2) the reactants can also yield three-membered products (P2; P5) by anti-isomers, which then further react with oxirane and thiirane to form the ultimate products (P3-1, P3-2; P6). 18New equation to decipher the relationship between carbon isotopic composition of methane and maturity of gas source rocks显示文摘The identification of the origin and source of natural gas is always a difficult and hot issue.Hereinto,the maturity identification is one of the most important scientific problems.Many empirical equations have been established to decipher the relationship between the maturity of gas source rocks and the carbon isotopic composition of natural gas.However,these equations proposed often fail to identify the maturity of the source rocks correctly,which in turn prevents the identification of genetic types and source rocks of the natural gas because the petroliferous sedimentary basins in China are complex and diverse,with multiple sets of source rocks and different thermal history.In this paper,the oil-associated gas from the Permian lacustrine source rocks and the coal-derived gas from the Jurassic source rocks in Junggar and Turpan-Hami basins have been investigated to decipher the relationship between the maturity(vitrinite reflectance)of gas source rocks and the carbon isotopic composition of methane.The equations established areδ^(13)C_(1)=25lgR_(o)-42.5 for oil-associated gas,andδ^(13)C_(1)=25lgR_(o)-37.5 for coal-derived gas.These new equations are suitable for the maturity identification of source rocks in most petroliferous basins,and favorable for the identification of the genetic type and source of natural gas,which is very important to improve the geological theory of natural gas.Jianping CHEN Xulong WANG Jianfa CHEN Yunyan NI Baoli XIANG Fengrong LIAO Wenjun HE Limiao YAO Erting LI 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,3:1
