1A Facial Expression Emotion Recognition Based Human-robot Interaction System显示文摘A facial expression emotion recognition based human-robot interaction(FEER-HRI) system is proposed, for which a four-layer system framework is designed. The FEERHRI system enables the robots not only to recognize human emotions, but also to generate facial expression for adapting to human emotions. A facial emotion recognition method based on2D-Gabor, uniform local binary pattern(LBP) operator, and multiclass extreme learning machine(ELM) classifier is presented,which is applied to real-time facial expression recognition for robots. Facial expressions of robots are represented by simple cartoon symbols and displayed by a LED screen equipped in the robots, which can be easily understood by human. Four scenarios,i.e., guiding, entertainment, home service and scene simulation are performed in the human-robot interaction experiment, in which smooth communication is realized by facial expression recognition of humans and facial expression generation of robots within 2 seconds. 2Photonic matrix multiplication lights up photonicaccelerator and beyond显示文摘Matrix computation,as a fundamental building block of information processing in science and technology,contributes most of the computational overheads in modern signal processing and artificial intelligence algorithms.Photonic accelerators are designed to accelerate specific categories of computing in the optical domain,especially matrix multiplication,to address the growing demand for computing resources and capacity.Photonic matrix multiplication has much potential to expand the domain of telecommunication,and artificial intelligence benefiting from its superior performance.Recent research in photonic matrix multiplication has flourished and may provide opportunities to develop applications that are unachievable at present by conventional electronic processors.In this review,we first introduce the methods of photonic matrix multiplication,mainly including the plane light conversion method,Mach–Zehnder interferometer method and wavelength division multiplexing method.We also summarize the developmental milestones of photonic matrix multiplication and the related applications.Then,we review their detailed advances in applications to optical signal processing and artificial neural networks in recent years.Finally,we comment on the challenges and perspectives of photonic matrix multiplication and photonic acceleration.Hailong Zhou Jianji Dong Junwei Cheng Wenchan Dong Chaoran Huang Yichen Shen Qiming Zhang Min Gu Chao Qian Hongsheng Chen Zhichao Ruan Xinliang Zhang 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,2:4
3Dual-wavelength in-line digital holography with untrained deep neural networks显示文摘Dual-wavelength in-line digital holography(DIDH)is one of the popular methods for quantitative phase imaging of objects with non-contact and high-accuracy features.Two technical challenges in the reconstruction of these objects include suppressing the amplified noise and the twin-image that respectively originate from the phase difference and the phase-conjugated wavefronts.In contrast to the conventional methods,the deep learning network has become a powerful tool for estimating phase information in DIDH with the assistance of noise suppressing or twin-image removing ability.However,most of the current deep learning-based methods rely on supervised learning and training instances,thereby resulting in weakness when it comes to applying this training to practical imaging settings.In this paper,a new DIDH network(DIDH-Net)is proposed,which encapsulates the prior image information and the physical imaging process in an untrained deep neural network.The DIDHNet can effectively suppress the amplified noise and the twin-image of the DIDH simultaneously by automatically adjusting the weights of the network.The obtained results demonstrate that the proposed method with robust phase reconstruction is well suited to improve the imaging performance of DIDH.CHEN BAI TONG PENG JUNWEI MIN RUNZE LI YUAN ZHOU BAOLI YAO 2021Photonics Research2021,9,12:3
4Structure regulation for ultra-high luminescence quantum yield lanthanide complex and simultaneous detection of cancer marker and ferrous ion显示文摘The exploitation of a highly selective and sensitive probe to detect both cancer marker and metal ion is of great importance.In this work,the 'one stone two bird' agent of 1,10-phenanthroline(phen) is designed to disrupt the polymeric lanthanide MOFs(LnMOFs,[Ln(CHO_(2))_(3)]n,Ln=Tb,la;Eu,1 b,CHO_(2)=formic acid) {[Ln(CHO_(2))_(4)·(C_(2) H_(8) N)]n,Ln=Y,2 a;Gd,2 b;Dy,2 c,C_(2)H_(8) N=dimethylamine}) into a soluble mononuclear species [Ln(phen)_(2)(NO_(3))_(3),Ln=Tb,3 a;Eu,3 b] as well as to provide an antenna for efficient photons absorption,resulting in an ultra-high luminescence quantum yield(QY,90%) europium complex.The luminescence QY is among the highest record of monomeric(zero-dimensional) lanthanide complexes.Furthermore,mononuclear Tb3+complex(3 a) functions as a multiplex sensor towards both Fe^(2+)and cancer marker of 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic acid(5-HIAA).Importantly,the limit of detection(LOD)for sensing 5-HIAA is an ultra-sensitive value of 1 × 10 s mol/L,which is even lower than that necessary for the early diagnosis of carcinoid tumors.More interestingly,sensing results in simulated urine reveals that 3 a has potential application for early diagnosis in the clinic.Min Liu Zhifeng Li Jianhui Xiong Yefei Jiang Ting Tang Jinkai Qiu Junwei Yao Seik Weng Ng Chenghui Zeng 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,10:3
5Digital holographic microscopy with phase-shift-free structured illumination显示文摘When structured illumination is used in digital holographic microscopy(DHM),each direction of the illumination fringe is required to be shifted at least three times to perform the phase-shifting reconstruction.In this paper,we propose a scheme for spatial resolution enhancement of DHM by using the structured illumination but without phase shifting.The structured illuminations of different directions,which are generated by a spatial light modulator,illuminate the sample sequentially in the object plane.The formed object waves interfere with a reference wave in an off-axis configuration,and a CCD camera records the generated hologram.After the object waves are reconstructed numerically,a synthetic aperture is performed by an iterative algorithm to enhance the spatial resolution.The resolution improvement of the proposed method is proved and demonstrated by both simulation and experiment.Juanjuan Zheng Peng Gao Baoli Yao Tong Ye Ming Lei Junwei Min Dan Dan Yanlong Yang Shaohui Yan 2014Photonics Research2014,2,3:2

7Two-episode Tectono-thermal Events of the Heyuan Fault in Late Cretaceous and Oligocene and their Tectonic Implications, Southernmost South China Block显示文摘The Heyuan Fault, is one of the main NE-trending faults in the southernmost South China Block and is close to the northernmost South China Sea to the south. The fault features multi-stage deformation and controlled the formation of late Cretaceous to Cenozoic basins. Based on detailed field investigations and comprehensive geochronological research, including zircon U-Pb, Rb-Sr isochron, zircon U-Th-He dating, two episodic tectono-thermal events are recognized. The first occurred during ~79 Ma to 66 Ma, which is characterized by large-scale quartz-fluid emplacement. The other occurred at ~34 Ma, which features the eruption of a set of basalts. 14Tandem catalysis on adjacent active motifs of copper grain boundary for efficient CO_(2) electroreduction toward C2 products显示文摘Copper (Cu) is a special electrocatalyst for CO_(2) reduction reaction (CO_(2)RR) to multi-carbon products.Experimentally introducing grain boundaries (GBs) into Cu-based catalysts is an efficient strategy to improve the selectivity of C^(2+) products.However,it is still elusive for the C^(2+) product generation on Cu GBs due to the complex active sites.In this work,we found that the tandem catalysis pathway on adjacent active motifs of Cu GB is responsible for the enhanced activity for C^(2+)production by first principles calculations.By electronic structure analysis shows,the d-band center of GB site is close to the Fermi level than Cu(100) facet,the Cu atomic sites at grain boundary have shorter bond length and stronger bonding with*CO,which can enhance the adsorption of*CO at GB sites.Moreover,CO_(2)protonation is more favorable on the region Ⅲ motif (0.84 e V) than at Cu(100) site (1.35 e V).Meanwhile,the region Ⅱ motif also facilitate the C–C coupling (0.72 e V) compared to the Cu(100) motif (1.09 e V).Therefore,the region Ⅲ and Ⅱ motifs form a tandem catalysis pathway,which promotes the C^(2+)selectivity on Cu GBs.This work provides new insights into CO_(2)RR process.Tao Luo Kang Liu Junwei Fu Shanyong Chen Hongmei Li Junhua Hu Min Liu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,7:1

16Rosemary extract improves egg quality by altering gut barrier function,intestinal microbiota and oviductal gene expressions in late-phase laying hens显示文摘Background Rosemary extract(RE)has been reported to exert antioxidant property.However,the application of RE in late-phase laying hens on egg quality,intestinal barrier and microbiota,and oviductal function has not been systematically studied.This study was investigated to detect the potential effects of RE on performance,egg quality,serum parameters,intestinal heath,cecal microbiota and metabolism,and oviductal gene expressions in late-phase laying hens.A total of 21065-week-old“Jing Tint 6”laying hens were randomly allocated into five treatments with six replicates and seven birds per replicate and fed basal diet(CON)or basal diet supplemented with chlortetracycline at 50 mg/kg(CTC)or RE at 50 mg/kg(RE50),100 mg/kg(RE100),and 200 mg/kg(RE200).Results Our results showed that RE200 improved(P<0.05)Haugh unit and n-6/n-3 of egg yolk,serum superoxide dismutase(SOD)compared with CON.No significant differences were observed for Haugh unit and n-6/n-3 of egg yolk among CTC,RE50,RE100 and RE200 groups.Compared with CTC and RE50 groups,RE200 increased serum SOD activity on d 28 and 56.Compared with CON,RE supplementation decreased(P<0.05)total cholesterol(TC)level.CTC,RE100 and RE200 decreased(P<0.05)serum interleukin-6(IL-6)content compared with CON.CTC and RE200 increased jejunal m RNA expression of ZO-1 and Occludin compared with CON.The biomarkers of cecal microbiota and metabolite induced by RE 200,including Firmicutes,Eisenbergiella,Paraprevotella,Papillibacter,and butyrate,were closely associated with Haugh unit,n-6/n-3,SOD,IL-6,and TC.PICRUSt2 analysis indicated that RE altered carbohydrate and amino acid metabolism of cecal microbiota and increased butyrate synthesizing enzymes,including 3-oxoacid Co A-transferase and butyrate-acetoacetate Co A-transferase.Moreover,transcriptomic analysis revealed that RE200 improved gene expressions and functional pathways related to immunity and albumen formation in the oviductal magnum.Conclusions Dietary supplementation with 200 mg/kg RE could increase egg quality of late-phase laying hens via modulating intestinal barrier,cecal microbiota and metabolism,and oviductal function.Overall,RE could be used as a promising feed additive to improve egg quality of laying hens at late stage of production.Lianhua Zhang Junwei Ge Fei Gao Min Yang Hui Li Fei Xia Hongtong Bai Xiangshu Piao Zhiying Sun Lei Shi 2024Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2024,15,1:0
17Digital holographic shape measurement using Fizeau microscopy显示文摘We present a Fizeau interferometer using a microscopic objective as a tool for surface contouring without the need for a numerical lens for reconstruction. The interferometer is associated with a telescope system to feature the object with collimated light. The experiment is conducted on two objects possessing different step heights.The phase maps from the captured off-axis holograms are calculated numerically, which allows us to deduce the contours of the objects. 18Gas diffusion in catalyst layer of flow cell for CO_(2) electroreduction toward C_(2+) products显示文摘The use of gas diffusion electrode(GDE)based flow cell can realize industrial-scale CO_(2) reduction reactions(CO_(2)RRs).Controlling local CO_(2) and CO intermediate diffusion plays a key role in CO_(2)RR toward multi-carbon(C_(2+))products.In this work,local CO_(2) and CO intermediate diffusion through the catalyst layer(CL)was investigated for improving CO_(2)RR toward C_(2+)products.The gas permeability tests and finite element simulation results indicated CL can balance the CO_(2) gas diffusion and residence time of the CO intermediate,leading to a sufficient CO concentration with a suitable CO_(2)/H_(2)O supply for high C_(2+)products.As a result,an excellent selectivity of C_(2+)products~79%at a high current density of 400 mA·cm^(-2) could be obtained on the optimal 500 nm Cu CL(Cu500).This work provides a new insight into the optimization of CO_(2)/H_(2)O supply and local CO concentration by controlling CL for C_(2+)products in CO_(2)RR flow cell.Xiqing Wang Qin Chen Yajiao Zhou Yao Tan Ye Wang Hongmei Li Yu Chen Mahmoud Sayed Ramadan A.Geioushy Nageh K.Allam Junwei Fu Yifei Sun Min Liu 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0

20Double laminated reduced graphene/Cu_2S/reduced graphene/graphene oxide nanofilms and their photoelectrochemical properties显示文摘In this work,an efficient photocatalytic material was prepared directly on Indium tin oxide(ITO)glass substrates by fabricating Cu_2 S and graphene oxide onto graphene for photoelectrochemical(PEC) water splitting.The double laminated reduced graphene/Cu_2S/reduced graphene/graphene oxide(RG/Cu_2S/RG/GO) nanofilms were characterized,and an enhanced photoelectrochemical response in the visible region was discovered.The photocurrent density of the nanofilms for PEC water splitting was measured to be up to 1.98 m A/cm^2,which could be ascribed to the followings:(i) a higher efficiency of light-harvesting because of GO coupling with Cu_2 S that could broaden the absorbing solar spectrum and enhance the light utilization efficiency;(ii) a stepwise structure of band-edge levels in the Cu_2S/GO electrode was constructed;(iii) double laminated electron accelerator(RG) was used in the Cu_2S/GO materials to get better electron-injecting efficiency.Junwei Li Xueqi Zhang Li Song Min Zhang Baohang Zhang 2016Journal of Energy Chemistry2016,25,4:0
