| 2 | Effect of honey on bacterial translocation and intestinal morphology in obstructive jaundice显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the effects of honey on bacterial translocation and intestinal villus histopathology in experimental obstructive jaundice.METHODS:Thirty Wistar-Albino rats were randomly divided into three groups each including 10 animals:group Ⅰ,sham-operated;group Ⅱ,ligation and section of the common bile duct(BDL);group Ⅲ,bile duct ligation followed by oral supplementation of honey(BDL+honey) 10 g/kg per day.Liver,blood,spleen,mesenteric lymph nodes,and ileal samples were taken for microbiological,light and transmission electrone microscopic examination.RESULTS:Although the number of villi per centimeter and the height of the mucosa were higher in sham group,there was no statistically significant difference between sham and BDL + honey groups(P>0.05).On the other hand,there was a statistically significant difference between BDL group and other groups(P<0.05).The electron microscopic changes werealso different between these groups.Sham and honey groups had similar incidence of bacterial translocation(P>0.05).BDL group had significantly higher rates of bacterial translocation as compared with sham and honey groups.Bacterial translocation was predominantly detected in mesenteric lymph nodes.CONCLUSION:Supplementation of honey in presence of obstructive jaundice ameliorates bacterial translocation and improves ileal morphology. | Cem Gencay Kemal Kismet Bulent Kilicoglu Serap Erel Mehmet Ali Akkus Sibel Serin Kilicoglu Sabahattin Muratoglu Asli Elif Sunay Esra Erdemli | 2008 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2008，14，21： | 8 |

| 5 | 2-D delineation of individual citrus trees from UAV-based dense photogrammetric surface models显示文摘One of the challenges of remote sensing and computer vision lies in the three-dimensional(3-D)reconstruction of individual trees by using automated methods through very high-resolution(VHR)data sets.However,a successful and complete 3-D reconstruction relies on precise delineation of the trees in two dimensions.In this paper,we present an original approach to detect and delineate citrus trees using unmanned aerial vehicles based on photogrammetric digital surface models(DSMs).The symmetry of the citrus trees in a DSM is handled by an orientationbased radial symmetry transform which is computed in a unique way.Next,we propose an efficient strategy to accurately build influence regions of each tree,and then we delineate individual citrus trees through active contours by taking into account the influence region of each canopy.We also present two efficient strategies to filter out erroneously detected canopy regions without having any height thresholds.Experiments are carried out on eight test DSMs composed of different types of citrus orchards with varying densities and canopy sizes.Extensive comparisons to the state-of-the-art approaches reveal that our proposed approach provides superior detection and delineation performances through supporting a nice balance between precision and recall measures. | Ali Ozgun Ok Asli Ozdarici-Ok | 2018 | International Journal of Digital Earth2018，11，6： | 4 |
| 6 | Parkin deficiency accentuates chronic alcohol intake-induced tissue injury and autophagy defects in brain,liver and skeletal muscle显示文摘Alcoholism leads to organ injury including mitochondrial defect and apoptosis with evidence favoring a role for autophagy dysregulation in alcoholic damage.Parkin represents an autosomal recessive in herited gene for Parkins on's disease and an important member of selective autophagy for mitoch on dria.The associati on between Parkins on's disease and alcoholic injury remains elusive.This study aimed to examine the effect of parki n deficiency on chr onic alcohol in takeinduced organ injury in brain,liver and skeletal muscle(rectus femoris muscle).Adult parkinknockout(PRK-/-)and wild-type mice were placed on Liber-De Carli alcohol liquid diet(4%)for 12 weeks prior to assessment of liver enzymes,intraperitoneal glucose toleranee,protein carbonyl content apoptosis,hematoxylin and eosin morphological staining,and mitochondrial respiration(cytochrome c oxidase,NADH:cytochrome c reductase and succinate:cytochrome c reductase).Autophagy protein markers were monitored by western blot analysis.Our data revealed that chronic alcohol intake imposed liver injury as evidenced by elevated aspartate aminotransferase and alanine transaminase,glucose intoleranee,elevated protein carbonyl formation,apoptosis,focal inflammation,necrosis,microvesiculation,autophagy/mitophagy failure and dampened mitochondrial respiration(complexⅣ,complexesⅠandⅢ,and complexesⅡandⅢ)in the brain,liver and rectus femoris skeletal muscle.Although parkin ablation itself did not generate any notable effects on liver enzymes,insulin sensitivity,tissue carbonyl damage,apoptosis,tissue morphology,autophagy or mitochondrial respiration,it accentuated alcohol intake-induced tissue damage,apoptosis,morphological change,autophagy/mitophagy failure and mitochondrial injury without affecting insulin sensitivity.These data suggest that parkin plays an integral role in the preservation against alcohol-induced organ injury,apoptosis and mitochondrial damage. | Hu Peng Xing Qin Sainan Chen Asli E Ceylan Maolong Dong Zhaofen Lin Jun Ren | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020，52，6： | 3 |
