Hepatitis B virus and dialysis therapy显示文摘Impaired renal function is associated with a high risk of chronicity of hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection.Patients on hemodialysis(HD) or peritoneal dialysis are at an increased risk of viral transmission due to frequent necessity of blood product transfer as well as use of contaminated dialysate or dialysis materials.Additionally,health professionals may cause viral spread via contaminated hands and carelessness against hygiene rules.The frequency of chronic HBV infection may be as high as 80% in patients on renal replacement therapies.This is because HBV vaccination is essential to eliminate chronic HBV infection.However,response rates of HD patients to HBV vaccination vary between 10%-50%.Dialysis adequacy and early vaccination before the onset of dialysis therapy seem to be major determinants of high seroconversion rates.Older age,male gender,duration of dialysis therapy and nutritional status are other well-known factors associated with seroconversion rate.There are controversial reports regarding the role of the presence of diabetes mellitus,HCV positivity,erythropoietin resistance,hyperparathyroidism,and vitamin D inadequacy.The role of genetic alteration in the functions or production of cytokines still needs to be elucidated. | Dede Sit Bennur Esen Ahmet Engin Atay Hasan Kayabasi | 2015 | World Journal of Hepatology2015，7，5： | 3 |
| 5 | Human adipose derived stem cells are superior to human osteoblasts (HOB) in bone tissue engineering on a collagen-fibroin-ELR blend显示文摘The ultrastructure of the bone provides a unique mechanical strength against compressive, torsional andtensional stresses. An elastin-like recombinamer (ELR) with a nucleation sequence for hydroxyapatitewas incorporated into films prepared from a collagen-silk fibroin blend carrying microchannel patternsto stimulate anisotropic osteogenesis. SEM and fluorescence microscopy showed the alignment ofadipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) and the human osteoblasts (HOBs) on the ridges and in the groovesof microchannel patterned collagen-fibroin-ELR blend films. The Young's modulus and the ultimatetensile strength (UTS) of untreated films were 0.58 ± 0.13 MPa and 0.18 ± 0.05 MPa, respectively. After 28days of cell culture, ADSC seeded film had a Young's modulus of 1.21 ± 0.42 MPa and UTS of0.32 ± 0.15 MPa which were about 3 fold higher than HOB seeded films. The difference in Young'smodulus was statistically significant (p: 0.02). ADSCs attached, proliferated and mineralized better thanthe HOBs. In the light of these results, ADSCs served as a better cell source than HOBs for bone tissueengineering of collagen-fibroin-ELR based constructs used in this study. | 7 | Physical and mechanical properties of some hybrid corn varieties显示文摘The aim of this study was to determine the structural designing parameters of silo and bins used for storage of some hybrid corn varieties(Zea mays L.).In the research,three corn varieties-dentcorn(Zea mays indentata Sturt.),popcorn(Zea mays everta Sturt.),sweetcorn(Zea mays sacharata Sturt.)-widespread cultivated in Turkey were used.Physico-mechanical parameters(bulk density,true density,angle of internal friction,static coefficient of friction)were considered as the dependent variables,and moisture content(8%,10%,12%,and 14%)as the independent variable.The bulk density,true density and angle of internal friction varied from 608.46 to 856.46 kg/m^(3),950.88 to 1110.89 kg/m^(3),and 25.2°to 34.2°,respectively,with the increase in moisture content from 8% to 14%.According to results of the research,the highest average value for bulk density,true density,angle of internal friction were found in popcorn variety(839.17 kg/m^(3)),popcorn variety(1074.40 kg/m^(3)),sweetcorn variety(30.50°),respectively.The highest average value for static coefficient of friction at concrete surface(C30)was recorded in dentcorn variety(0.662). | TurgutÖztürk Bilge Esen | 2013 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2013，6，1： | 2 |

During the synthetic process development studies of benidipine, process related impurities were detected. These impurities were identi fi ed, synthesized and characterized and mechanisms of their formation were discussed in detail.After all standardization procedures, they were used as reference standards for analytical studies. In addition, a separate HPLC method was developed and validated for detection of residual 1-benzylpiperidin-3-ol(Ben-2), which is used during benidipine synthesis and controlled as a potential process related impurity.
