| 1 | Fabrication,microstructures,and optical properties of Yb:Lu_(2)O_(3) laser ceramics from co-precipitated nano-powders显示文摘The Yb:Lu_(2)O_(3)precursor made up of spherical particles was synthesized through the co-precipitation method in the water/ethanol solvent.The 5 at% Yb:Lu_(2)O_(3)powder is in the cubic phase after calcination at 1100℃ for 4 h.The powder also consists of spherical nanoparticles with the average particle and grain sizes of 96 and 49 nm,respectively.The average grain size of the pre-sintered ceramic sample is 526 nm and that of the sample by hot isostatic pressing grows to 612 nm.The 1.0 mm-thick sample has an in-line transmittance of 81.6%(theoretical value of 82.2%)at 1100 nm.The largest absorption cross-section at 976 nm is 0.96×1^(0-20)cm^(2) with the emission cross-section at 1033 nm of 0.92×10^(-20)cm^(2) and the gain cross sections are calculated with the smallest population inversion parameter β of 0.059.The highest slope efficiency of 68.7% with the optical efficiency of 65.1% is obtained at 1033.3 nm in quasi-continuous wave(QCW)pumping.In the case of continuous wave(CW)pumping,the highest slope efficiency is 61.0% with the optical efficiency of 54.1%.The obtained laser performance indicates that Yb:Lu_(2)O_(3)ceramics have excellent resistance to thermal load stresses,which shows great potential in high-power solid-state laser applications. | Ziyu LIU Guido TOCI Angela PIRRI Barbara PATRIZI Yagang FENG Jiabei WEI Feng WU Zhaoxiang YANG Matteo VANNINI Jiang LI | 2020 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,6: | 4 |

| 6 | 关于不同年龄儿童喉部横断面积的研究显示文摘背景环状软骨被认为是儿童的漏斗状气道最狭窄的部分。随着生长发育,慢慢地向成人的圆柱状气道转变。实际工作中,大量的儿童气道评估是建立在这种转变基础之上的。本研究的主要目的是建立各个年龄阶段儿童的气道测量参考值。方法从6个月到13岁不等的135例儿童(ASA生理状态1或2级)参与了本次研究。在全身麻醉下,运用视频支气管镜检查技术,分别测量在声门和环状软骨水平的横断面积、前后径及横径。结果在本次研究的135例儿童中,由于图像质量不好的原因有7例被排除。在此项研究的128例儿童(79例男孩、49例女孩)中,人口统计学资料显示:平均年龄5.9±3.3岁,身高113.5±22.2cm,体重23.5±3kg。最终结果显示:环状软骨水平的横断区域面积大于声门水平的横断区域面积(48.9±15.5mill2VS30±16.5mm2)。这种关系对此项研究中的所有JtAt都成立(P〈0.001,r=0.45,检验效能=1)。声门水平横断区域面积和环状软骨水平横断区域面积的平均比例为2.1±1.2。声门水平横断区域面积和环状软骨水平横断区域面积与年龄(r=0.36,P〈0.001;r=0.27,P=0.001)、身高(r=0.34,P〈0.001;r=0.29,P=0.001)、体重(r=0.35,P〈0.001;r=0.25,P=0.003)呈正相关。而性别差异对研究参数并无影响。结论此项关于婴儿和儿童的研究显示,声门是儿童气道中最狭窄的部位,而不是环状软骨。与成人类似,在这些视频支气管镜图像上,儿童气道呈现圆柱状比呈现漏斗状的多。至于这些在麻醉及肌肉松弛状态下的静态气道测量能否反映儿童声门和环状软骨的动态特性还需进一步的研究。 | Priti G. | 7 | First Trimester Screening for Preeclampsia:An Asian Perspective显示文摘Preeclampsia(PE)is one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide.This disorder has profound short-term and long-term impacts on both the affected woman’s and her child’s health.Early-onset PE requiring preterm delivery(preterm PE)is of particular importance because it is associated with a higher risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes than term PE.First trimester screening model developed by the Fetal Medicine Foundation(FMF),which uses Bayes-theorem to combine maternal characteristics and medical history together with measurements of mean arterial pressure,uterine artery pulsatility index,and serum placental growth factor,has been proven to be effective and have superior screening performance to that of traditional risk factor-based approach for the prediction of PE.Identification of high risk pregnant women for preterm PE and giving aspirin prophylaxis before 16^(th)week of gestation would reduce the incidence of preterm PE.In Asia,although the prevalence of PE is slightly lower than the global estimation,early screening and prevention of this life-threatening condition is still crucial.The FMF Bayestheorem based screening method has been validated in a large-scale prospective Asia-wide study and revealed that the first trimester triple test achieves the highest detection rate,compared with the traditional risk factor-based approaches,and that the screening performance is comparable to the published data from the FMF in East Asian women.However,in order to achieve optimal screening performance,the key is to establish standardized methods for biomarker measurements and regular biomarker quality assessment,as each biomarker is susceptible to inaccurate measurement,thus affecting performance of screening.Furthermore,it is of great importance to emphasize that the optimal preventive effect of aspirin on preterm PE is clearly associated with good compliance to treatment.In conclusion,global implementation of an effective first trimester“screen and prevent”program for preterm PE would provide the opportunity to reduce the risk of both short-term maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality,with the possibility of intergenerational prevention of future chronic diseases for both the mother and her offspring. | Sakita Moungmaithong Xueqin Wang Angela S.T.Tai Qiaoli Feng Daljit Sahota Tak Yeung Leung Liona C.Poon | 2021 | Maternal-Fetal Medicine2021,3,2: | 0 |
