1Short Term Influence of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizer on Soil Microbial Biomass and DNA in Summer and Spring显示文摘The present study was conducted to see the short term impact of organic and inorganic fertilizers on soil microbial biomass both in spring and summer. Also aimed to observe the correlation between soil microbial biomass and soil DNA. The study concluded that type of fertilizer might alter the soil microbial biomass and DNA contents. In soil treated with organic fertilizers resulted in higher concentrations of microbial biomass and DNA contents in summer as compared to spring dute to increase in temperature. Correspondingly, in case of inorganic fertilizer, concentrations of soil microbial biomass and DNA detected higher in summer instead of spring. The statistical correlation between soil microbial biomass, DNA and ODR in spring and summer along with organic and inorganic fertilizers were calculated highly significant(p>0.01). 2Influence of Soil pH and Temperature on Atrazine Bioremediation显示文摘Present study was conducted to clarify soil pH and temperature influence on different atrazine bioremediation techniques. For this purpose, sodium citrate, Arthrobactor sp. strain DNS10, sawdust and animal manure were selected to clarify their atrazine remediation efficiency under pH 5, 7 and 9 and temperatures 20, 30 and 40℃, respectively. Results showed that atrazine remediation was generally optimized at pH 7 and 30℃ for all the treatments except sodium citrate as soil treated with sawdust was not temperature dependant, but at pH 5 remediation process was determined slower. Atrazine remediation in soil with no additional amendment was only 34%, while in soil treated with sawdust, DNS10, sodium citrate and animal manure were 75.17%, 89%, 74.17% and 76.83% at optimized pH and temperature. 8Predatory Efficacy of Cotton Inhabiting Spiders on Bemisiatabaci, Amrascadevastans Thripstabaci and Helicoverpa armigera in Laboratory Conditions显示文摘Distinction of predator's diet and prey choice preference is a hot topic of current investigations. Spider being generalist predator and cosmopoliter in nature acts as biological control agent in many agro-ecosystems. In the current study, predatory efficacy of five spiders(Pardosa birmanica, Cyclosa insulana, Thomisus projectus, Plexippus paykulli and Lycosa terrestris) inhabiting the cotton fi eldevaluated in the laboratory conditions maintained at(27±2)℃ temperature, 65%±5% relative humidity and 12 : 12 h of light and dark photoperiod. Four key cotton pests' viz. Bemisiatabaci, Amrascadevastans Thripstabaci and Helicoverpa armigera were utilized in the choice and no-choice predatory studies. The findings of current investigation revealed that each predatory spider utilized at least one pest species. Predation rate was found higher in the no-choice predation because of unavailability of substitutes feeding source. The investigation also indicated each predatory spider killed more pests than consumed. 9TX-114+TBAB体系中非电解质对CP的影响(英文)显示文摘The effects of nonelectrolytes (ureas, amino acids, sugars) on the cloud point (CP) of nonionic surfactant Triton X-114 (TX-114) and tetra-n-butylammonium bromide (TBAB) system were studied. Ureas as well as thioureas increased the CP. Behaviors of amino acids depended upon their nature. Nonpolar and uncharged polar amino acids were less effective in changing the CP. However, tryptophan and phenylalanine increased the CP sharply. Acidic amino acid (aspartic acid) and sugars decreased the CP. The results were explained in terms of their effect on water structure. 13混合胶束中Gemini阳离子表面活性剂14-s-14与常规表面活性剂的协同作用:连接臂及反离子效应(英文)显示文摘The mixed micelle formation of binary cationic 14-s-14 gemini with conventional single chain surfactants was studied by conductivity measurements.The critical micelle concentration(cmc) and the degree of counterion binding values(g) of the binary systems were determined.The results were analyzed by applying regular solution theory(RST) to calculate micellar compositions(X),activity coefficients(f1,f2),and the interaction parameters(β).The synergistic interactions of all the investigated cationic gemini+conventional surfactant combinations were found to be dependent upon the length of hydrophobic spacer of the gemini surfactant.The excess Gibbs free energy of mixing was evaluated,and it indicated relatively more stable mixed micelles for the binary combinations.AZUM Naved NAQVI Andleeb Z. 14COVIDX: Computer-aided diagnosis of COVID-19 and its severity prediction with raw digital chest X-ray scans显示文摘Background: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a contagious infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-COV-2) and it has infected and killed millions of people across the globe.Objective: In the absence or inadequate provision of therapeutic treatments of COVID-19 and the limited convenience of diagnostic techniques, there is a necessity for some alternate spontaneous screening systems that can easily be used by the physicians to rapidly recognize and isolate the infected patients to circumvent onward surge. A chest X-ray (CXR) image can effortlessly be used as a substitute modality to diagnose the COVID-19.Method: In this study, we present an automatic COVID-19 diagnostic and severity prediction system (COVIDX) that uses deep feature maps of CXR images along with classical machine learning algorithms to identify COVID-19 and forecast its severity. The proposed system uses a three-phase classification approach (healthy vs unhealthy, COVID-19 vs pneumonia, and COVID-19 severity) using different conventional supervised classification algorithms.Results: We evaluated COVIDX through 10-fold cross-validation, by using an external validation dataset, and also in a real setting by involving an experienced radiologist. 15Assessment of Phosphorus Levels in Small Ruminants as Affected by Summer and Winter显示文摘An experiment was carried out to assess the phosphorus status of free grazing goats at Faisalabad,Pakistan.Samples were collected fortnightly during summer and winter seasons of 2010 from soil and plants.The highest(118±0.54 mg·kg-1)levels of feces phosphorus were recorded in lactating goats during winter and(9.87±0.99 mg·kg-1)in urine of male during winter.Similarly maximum(71.0±0.88 mg·kg-1)phosphorus concentration was observed in the plasma of lactating animals.Milk contained(31.0±0.36)mg·L-1 in winter while during the months of summer the highest values recorded in forages,soils,canal and tube well waters were(755±1.98)mg·kg-1,(785±4.98)mg·kg-1,(0.97±8.78)mg·L-1 and(4.12±0.55)mg·L-1,respectively.It was revealed from the current results that fecal matter,forage,milk,tube well and canal water contained lower amounts of P,while P levels in blood plasma was found within the critical limits.Therefore,phosphorus supplementations were required in the area under experimentation to meet the requirements of the animals for their normal growth.Ansar Mahmood Dr.Asma Hassan Iram Maqsood Tang Li-jie Syed Mohsin Bukhari Khalil-Ur-Rehman and Shahla Andleeb 2014Journal of Northeast Agricultural University(English Edition)2014,21,1:0

18水溶液中两亲药物盐酸异丙嗪-表面活性剂体系的胶束化行为(英文)显示文摘The behavior of the mixed amphiphilic drug promethazine hydrochloride(PMT) and cationic as well as nonionic surfactants was studied by tensiometry.The cmc values of the PMT-surfactant systems decrease at a surfactant mole fraction of 0.1 and it then becomes constant.The critical micelle concentration(cmc) values are lower than the ideal cmc(cmc*) values for PMT/TX-100,PMT/TX-114,PMT/Tween 20,and PMT/Tween 60 systems.For the PMT/Tween 40,PMT/Tween 80,PMT/CPC,and PMT/CPB systems the cmc values are close to the cmc* values.This indicates that PMT forms mixed micelles with these surfactants by attractive interactions.The surface excess(Γmax) decreases in the presence of surfactants.The rigid structure of the drug makes adsorption easier and the contribution of the surfactant at the interface decreases.The interaction parameters βm(for the mixed micelles) and βσ(for the mixed monolayer) are negative indicating attraction among the mixed components.KABIR-UD-DIN KHAN Abbul Bashar NAQVI Andleeb Z. 2011物理化学学报2011,27,8:0
19不同浓度和温度时无机盐和尿素对抗抑郁剂药物丙咪嗪盐酸盐的胶束化行为的影响(英文)显示文摘In the present study we report the micellization behavior of imipramine hydrochloride(IMP)in absence and presence of different concentrations of inorganic salts(LiCl,NaF,NaCl,NaBr,and KCl)and ureas(urea and thiourea)over the temperature range from 288.15 to 303.15 K.The critical micellization concentrations(cmc)of drug and drug+additive systems were determined by conductometric technique. With increasing temperature the cmc first increases then decreases.Maximum cmc values were obtained at 293.15 K with or without additives.In presence of inorganic salts the cmc value decreases which is explained on the basis of nature and ion size of the added ion.Urea and thiourea also decrease the cmc at low concentrations(0.2 mmo·lL -1 urea and 0.1 mmo·lL -1 thiourea),but,at higher concentrations,increase in cmc is observed.The related thermodynamic parameters are also evaluated and discussed.KABIR-UD-DIN RUB Malik Abdul NAQVI Andleeb Z. 2012物理化学学报2012,28,4:0
