| 3 | Growth Characteristics and Kinetics of Niobium Carbide Coating Obtained on AISI 52100 by Thermal-reactive Diffusion Technique显示文摘Niobium carbide coating was produced by thermal-reactive diffusion technique on AISI 52100 steel in salt bath at 1 123 K, 1 173 K, and 1 223 K for 1, 2, 4, and 6 hours. The salt consisted of borax, sodium fl uoride, boron carbide, and niobium pentoxide. The presence of NbC phase on the steel surface was confi rmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. Microscopic observation showed that niobium carbide coating formed on the substrate was smooth and compact. There was a distinct and fl at interface between the coating and substrate. The micro-hardness of niobium carbide coating was 2892±145HV. The thickness of coating ranged from 1.6 μm to 14μm. The forming kinetics of niobium carbide coating was revealed. Moreover, a contour diagram derived from experimental data was graphed for correct selection of process parameters. Some mathematical equations were built for predicting the coating thickness with predetermined processing temperature and time. | 4 | Photoluminescence and defect evolution of nano-ZnO thin films at low temperature annealing显示文摘Nano-ZnO thin films composed of nanoparticles with sizes of 10-16 nm on silicon substrates at low temperature were prepared by sol-gel method.By placing the nano-ZnO thin films at room temperature or annealing at 100°C in air for 10 h intermittently,within a total 70 h annealing time,the evolution of PL spectra of the nano-ZnO thin films were studied in detail.As the annealing time increases,the PL peaks shift from violet to blue and green bands.The PL peaks at violet and blue bands decrease with the annealing time,but the PL peaks at green band are opposite.The PL spectra are related to the defects in the nano-ZnO thin films.The PL peaks positioned at 430 nm are mainly related to defects of zinc interstatials(Zni),oxygen vacancies and(Vo);the ones at 420 nm to oxygen interstitials(Oi),Zinc vacancies(Vzn),Zni ;and the ones at 468 nm to Vzn,Zni,and charged oxygen interstatials(Vo+).The green luminescence is related to Oi,Vo and Zni.The evolutions of PL spectra and the defects are also related to the concentrations of Zn in the thin films,the thicknesses of the films and the annealing time.For the films with 0.5 M and 1.0 M Zn concentrations,after 20 h and 30 h annealing in air at 100°C,respectively,either placing them in air at room temperature or continuing anneal in air at 100°C,the PL spectra are stable.Under the low temperature annealing,Zni decreases with the annealing time,and Oi increases.Sufficient Oi favors to keep the nano-ZnO thin films stable.This result is important to nano-ZnO thin films as electron transport layers in inverted or tandem organic solar cells. | YANG AiLing YANG Yun ZHANG ZhenZhen BAO XiChang YANG RenQiang LI ShunPin SUN Liang | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,1: | 5 |
| 5 | Microstructure and penetration behavior of electroformed copper liners of shaped charges during explosive detonation deformation显示文摘The microstructure in the electroformed copper liners of shaped charges prepared with different electrolytes was studied by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Electron Backscattering Kikuchi Pattern (EBSP) methods. SEM observations revealed the existence of columnar grains in electroformed copper liners of shaped charges formed by electrolyte without any additive and the average grain size is about 3 μm. When an additive is introduced to the electrolyte, the grains formed in the copper liners become equiaxed and finer. EBSP results show that the columnar grain grown during electroformation has the most preferential growth direction, whereas a micro-texture does not exit in the specimen prepared by electrolyte with the additive.
