1Numerical investigation of the velocity field and separation efficiency of deoiling hydrocyclones显示文摘Three-dimensional simulation of a multiphase flow is performed using the EulerianEulerian finite volume method in order to evaluate the separation efficiency and velocity field of deoiling hydrocyclones.The solution is developed using a mass conservation-based algorithm(MCBA) with collocated grid arrangement.The mixture approach of the Reynolds stress model is also employed in order to capture features of turbulent multiphase swirling flow.The velocity field and separation efficiency of two different configurations of deoiling hydrocyclones are compared with available experimental data.The comparison shows that the separation efficiency can be predicted with high accuracy using computational fluid dynamics.The velocity fields are also in good agreement with available experimental velocity measurements.Special attention is drawn to swirl intensity in deoiling hydrocyclones and it is shown that the differences in velocity and volume fraction fields of different configurations are related to swirl distribution.MADDAHIAN Reza ASADI Mohammad FARHANIEH Bijan 2012Petroleum Science2012,9,4:4
2Application of Rice Husk Biochar for Achieving Sustainable Agriculture and Environment显示文摘This paper critically reviewed the current knowledge and challenges of rice husk biochar(RHB)production and its effects on soil properties,plant growth,immobilization of heavy metals,reduction of nutrient leaching and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions.The characteristics of RHBs produced at various pyrolysis temperatures were discussed and compared to biochars derived from other agro-industrial wastes.RHBs produced at higher pyrolysis temperatures show lower hydrogen/carbon ratio,which suggests the presence of higher aromatic carbon compounds.The increase of pyrolysis temperature also results in production of RHBs with higher ash content,lower yield and higher surface area.RHB usually has higher silicon and ash contents and lower carbon content compared to biochars derived from other feedstocks at the same pyrolysis conditions.Although it depends on soil type,RHB application can improve soil organic carbon content,cation exchange capacity,available K concentration,bulk density and microbial activity.The effect of RHB on soil aggregation mainly depends on soil texture.The growth of different crops is also enhanced by application of RHB.RHB addition to soil can immobilize heavy metals and herbicides and reduce their bioavailability.RHB application shows a significant capacity in reduction of nitrate leaching,although its magnitude depends on the biochar application rate and soil biogeochemical characteristics.Use of RHB,especially in paddy fields,shows a promising mitigation effect on greenhouse gas(CH4,CO2 and N2O)emissions.Although RHB characteristics are also related to other factors such as pyrolysis heating rate and residence time,its performance for specific applications(e.g.carbon sequestration,pH amendment)can be manipulated by adjusting the pyrolysis temperature.More research is needed on long-term field applications of RHB to fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of RHB as a soil amendment.Hossein Asadi Mohammad Ghorbani Mehran Rezaei-Rashti Sepideh Abrishamkesh Elnaz Amirahmadi Chen Chengrong Manouchehr Gorji 2021Rice science2021,28,4:4
3Analytical study of care quality and moral distress in clinical situations and patient care显示文摘Objective: Nursing profession conventionally meets a high standard of ethical behavior and action. One of the ethical challenges in nursing profession is moral distress. Nurses frequently expose to this phenomenon which leads to different consequences such as being bored by delivering patient care that decline care quality and make it challenging to achieve health purposes. This study was conducted to investigate the association between the aspects of moral distress and care quality.Methods: In this descriptive–analytical study, 545 nurses of intensive and cardiac care units and dialysis and psychiatric wards were recruited by census sampling. Three questionnaires, Sociodemographics, Moral Distress Scale, and Quality Patient Care Scale, were distributed among the participants and collected within 9 months. Data analysis was conducted by descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, and the least significant difference in SPSS 13.Results: Investigating moral distress domains(ignoring patient, decision-making power, and professional competence) and care quality domains(psychosocial, physical, and communicational) demonstrated that in being exposed to moral distress, ignoring patient had no effect on psychosocial domain(P=0.056), but decision-making and professional competence of moral distress had positive effect on psychosocial, physical(bodily), and communication domains of care quality.Conclusions: Because moral distress domains are effective on patient care quality, it is recommended to enhance the knowledge of nurses, especially beginners, about moral distress, increase their strength alongside standardizing nursing services in decisionmaking domains, improve the professional competence, and pay attention to patients.Masoumeh Hasanlo Arezo Azarm Parvaneh Asadi Kourosh Amini Hossein Ebrahimi Mohammad Asghari Jafarabadi 2019Frontiers of Nursing2019,6,4:3
4Calculation of dpa rate in graphite box of Tehran Research Reactor(TRR)显示文摘Radiation damage is an important factor that must be considered while designing nuclear facilities and nuclear materials. In this study, radiation damage is investigated in graphite, which is used as a neutron reflector in the Tehran Research Reactor (TRR) core. Radiation damage is shown by displacement per atom (dpa) unit. A cross section of the material was created by using the SPECOMP code. The concentration of impurities present in the non-irradiated graphite was measured by using the ICP-AES method. In the present study the MCNPX code had identified the most sensitive location for radiation damage inside the reactor core. Subsequently, the radiation damage (spectral-averaged dpa values) in the aforementioned location was calculated by using the SPECTER, SRIM Monte Carlo codes, and Norgett, Robinson and Torrens (NRT) model. The results of “Ion Distribution and Quick Calculation of Damage”(QD) method groups had a minor difference with the results of the SPECTER code and NRT model. The maximum radiation damage rate calculated for the graphite present in the TRR core was 1.567 9 10^-8 dpa/s. 6悬浮固化液相微萃取-高效液相色谱法测定人血浆和尿样中的卡巴咪嗪(英文)显示文摘Solidified floating organic drop microextraction(SFODME)in combination with high performance liquid chromatography was used for separation/preconcentration and determination of carbamazepine(CBZ)in human plasma and urine samples.Parameters that affect the extraction efficiency such as the type and volume of extraction solvent,ionic strength,sodium hydroxide concentration,stirring rate,sample volume and extraction time,were investigated and optimized.Under the optimum conditions(extraction solvent,40μL of 1-undecanol;sodium hydroxide concentration,1 mol/L;temperature,50℃;stirring speed,400 r/min;sample volume,8 mL;sodium chloride concentration,3%(w/v)and extraction time,60 min)the calibration curve was found to be linear in the mass concentration range of 0.4-700.0μg/L.The limit of detection(LOD)was 0.1μg/L and the relative standard deviation(RSD)for six replicate extraction and determination of carbamazepine at 100μg/L level was found to be 4.1%.The method was successfully applied to the determination of CBZ in human plasma and urine samples.Mohammad ASADI Ali Mohammad HAJI SHABANI Shayessteh DADFARNIA Bijan ABBASI 2015色谱2015,33,6:2

17Laboratory-scale model of carbon dioxide deposition for soilstabilisation显示文摘Olivine sand is a natural mineral,which,when added to soil,can improve the soil's mechanical properties while also sequester carbon dioxide(CO_2)from the surrounding environment.The originality of this paper stems from the novel two-stage approach.In the first stage,natural carbonation of olivine and carbonation of olivine treated soil under different CO_2 pressures and times were investigated.In this stage,the unconfined compression test was used as a tool to evaluate the strength performance.In the second stage,details of the installation and performance of carbonated olivine columns using a laboratory-scale model were investigated.In this respect,olivine was mixed with the natural soil using the auger and the columns were then carbonated with gaseous CO_2.The unconfined compressive strengths of soil in the first stage increased by up to 120% compared to those of the natural untreated soil.The strength development was found to be proportional to the CO_2 pressure and carbonation period.Microstructural analyses indicated the presence of magnesite on the surface of carbonated olivinetreated soil,demonstrating that modified physical properties provided a stronger and stiffer matrix.The performance of the carbonated olivine-soil columns,in terms of ultimate bearing capacity,showed that the carbonation procedure occurred rapidly and yielded a bearing capacity value of 120 k Pa.Results of this study are of significance to the construction industry as the feasibility of carbonated olivine for strengthening and stabilizing soil is validated.Its applicability lies in a range of different geotechnical applications whilst also mitigates the global warming through the sequestration of CO_2.Mohammad Hamed Fasihnikoutalab Afshin Asadi Bujang Kim Huat PaulWestgate Richard JBall Shahram Pourakbar 2016Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2016,8,2:1
18Emotion recognition support system: Where physicians and psychiatrists meet linguists and data engineers显示文摘An important factor in the course of daily medical diagnosis and treatment is understanding patients’ emotional states by the caregiver physicians. However, patients usually avoid speaking out their emotions when expressing their somatic symptoms and complaints to their non-psychiatrist doctor. On the other hand, clinicians usually lack the required expertise(or time) and have a deficit in mining various verbal and non-verbal emotional signals of the patients. As a result, in many cases, there is an emotion recognition barrier between the clinician and the patients making all patients seem the same except for their different somatic symptoms. In particular, we aim to identify and combine three major disciplines(psychology, linguistics, and data science) approaches for detecting emotions from verbal communication and propose an integrated solution for emotion recognition support. 20Mobilizing the seed storage oil in milk thistle (Silybum marianum) can supply energy for seed germination and early seedling growth and apply as TAGs breakdown marker显示文摘Milk thistle(Silybum marianum)is a crucial medicinal plant containing a large amount of oil.In the study,the changes in storage oil during seed germination and seedling transition from heterotrophic phases were investigated.The results showed that seed oil decreased from 19.53%to 0.88%on the 7th day of seedling development.Oil hydrolysis continued until the 4th day of germination with a low slope,but then increased the use of oils in seed germination end seedling growth metabolism.The results indicated that the quantitative changes in fatty acids,presented at lower amount,were relatively higher than dominant fatty acids.There were decreasing phenolic content in the developing seedlings,but overall,lowest level of total phenolic content can be attributed to the control(30.52 mg⋅100 g⋅Oil^(-1)).In contrast,the maximum peroxide value(2.58 meq⋅kg Oil^(-1))in the developing seedling was observed on the last day of the experiment.The results showed that there was a significant correlation between saturated fatty acid,unsaturated fatty acid,and lipase activity.However,the correlation between lipase activity and polyunsaturated fatty acids was significantly higher than between lipase activity and monounsaturated fatty acids(R^(2)=90%and R^(2)=77%,respectively).Therefore,the lipolysis process acts selectively in milk thistle oils.According to the results,C12:0 exhibits a greater impact on the early seedling growth rather than on the germination process and is one of the determining factors in the transition from heterotroph to autotroph.Also,it can be a marker for TAGs breakdown.Mohammad Shahin Daneshmandi Maryam Mohammadi Maryam Asadi Adele Robati 2023Oil Crop Science2023,8,4:0
