8Exploring the nano-fungicidal efficacy of green synthesized magnesium oxide nanoparticles(MgO NPs)on the development,physiology,and infection of carrot(Daucus carota L.)with Alternaria leaf blight(ALB):Molecular docking显示文摘In this research,green synthesized magnesium oxide nanoparticles(MgO NPs)from lemon fruit extracts and their fungicidal potential was evaluated against Alternaria dauci infection on carrot(Daucus carota L.)under greenhouse conditions.The scanning and transmission electron microscopy(SEM and TEM)and ultra-violet(UV)visible spectroscopy were used to validate and characterize MgO NPs.The crystalline nature of MgONPs was determined using selected area electron diffraction(SAED).MgO NPs triggered substantial antifungal activity against A.dauci when exposed to 50 and 100 mg L^(–1)concentrations but the higher antifungal potential was noticed in 100 mg L^(–1)under invitro conditions.In fungal inoculated plants,a marked decrease in growth,photosynthetic pigments,and an increase in phenol,proline contents,and defense-related enzymes of carrot were seen over control(distilled water).However,foliar application of MgO NPs at 50 and 100 mg L^(–1)resulted in significant improvement of plant growth,photosynthetic pigments,phenol and proline contents,and defense enzymes activity of carrots with and without A.dauci infection.Spraying of MgO NPs at 100 mg L^(–1)had more plant length(17.11%),shoot dry weight(34.38%),plant fresh weight(20.46%),and root dry weight(49.09%)in carrots when challenged with A.dauci over inoculated control.The leaf blight indices and percent disease severity were also reduced in A.dauci inoculated plants when sprayed with MgO NPs.The non-bonding interactions of Alternaria genus protein with nanoparticles were studied using molecular docking.Lukman AHAMAD Azmat ALI KHAN Masudulla KHAN Orudzhev FARID Mahboob ALAM 2023Journal of Integrative Agriculture2023,22,10:0
9Disease Diagnosis System Using IoT Empowered with Fuzzy Inference System显示文摘Disease diagnosis is a challenging task due to a large number of associated factors.Uncertainty in the diagnosis process arises frominaccuracy in patient attributes,missing data,and limitation in the medical expert’s ability to define cause and effect relationships when there are multiple interrelated variables.This paper aims to demonstrate an integrated view of deploying smart disease diagnosis using the Internet of Things(IoT)empowered by the fuzzy inference system(FIS)to diagnose various diseases.The Fuzzy Systemis one of the best systems to diagnose medical conditions because every disease diagnosis involves many uncertainties,and fuzzy logic is the best way to handle uncertainties.Our proposed system differentiates new cases provided symptoms of the disease.Generally,it becomes a time-sensitive task to discriminate symptomatic diseases.The proposed system can track symptoms firmly to diagnose diseases through IoT and FIS smartly and efficiently.Different coefficients have been employed to predict and compute the identified disease’s severity for each sign of disease.This study aims to differentiate and diagnose COVID-19,Typhoid,Malaria,and Pneumonia.This study used the FIS method to figure out the disease over the use of given data related to correlating with input symptoms.MATLAB tool is utilised for the implementation of FIS.Fuzzy procedure on the aforementioned given data presents that affectionate disease can derive from the symptoms.The results of our proposed method proved that FIS could be utilised for the diagnosis of other diseases.This study may assist doctors,patients,medical practitioners,and other healthcare professionals in early diagnosis and better treat diseases.Talha Mahboob Alam Kamran Shaukat Adel Khelifi Wasim Ahmad Khan Hafiz Muhammad Ehtisham Raza Muhammad Idrees Suhuai Luo Ibrahim A.Hameed 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,3:0
10ILipo-PseAAC: Identification of Lipoylation Sites Using Statistical Moments and General PseAAC显示文摘Lysine Lipoylation is a protective and conserved Post Translational Modification(PTM)in proteomics research like prokaryotes and eukaryotes.It is connected with many biological processes and closely linked with many metabolic diseases.To develop a perfect and accurate classification model for identifying lipoylation sites at the protein level,the computational methods and several other factors play a key role in this purpose.Usually,most of the techniques and different traditional experimental models have a very high cost.They are time-consuming;so,it is required to construct a predictor model to extract lysine lipoylation sites.This study proposes a model that could predict lysine lipoylation sites with the help of a classification method known as Artificial Neural Network(ANN).The ANN algorithm deals with the noise problem and imbalance classification in lipoylation sites dataset samples.As the result shows in ten-fold cross-validation,a brilliant performance is achieved through the predictor model with an accuracy of 99.88%,and also achieved 0.9976 as the highest value of MCC.So,the predictor model is a very useful and helpful tool for lipoylation sites prediction.Some of the residues around lysine lipoylation sites play a vital part in prediction,as demonstrated during feature analysis.The wonderful results reported through the evaluation and prediction of this model can provide an informative and relative explanation for lipoylation and its molecular mechanisms.Talha Imtiaz Baig Yaser Daanial Khan Talha Mahboob Alam Bharat Biswal Hanan Aljuaid Durdana Qaiser Gillani 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,4:0
11Intramolecular cyclization of steroidal semicarbazones to pyrazoles using Vilsmeier reagent显示文摘The preparation of hitherto unknown steroidal heterocycles containing pyrazole fused to 6,7-position of the steroidal nucleus is described. These heterocycles were prepared by the action of Vilsmeier reagent with steroidal semicarbazones in DMF. The structure of the compounds has been established on the basis of their elemental analysis and spectral data. 12Modes of failure with fractional flow reserve guidewires:Insights from the manufacturer and user facility device experience database显示文摘BACKGROUND Fractional flow reserve(FFR)measurement is commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory to assess the functional significance of coronary arterial plaques.Robust real-world data on complications and modes of failure of FFR guidewires are limited.AIM To characterize these outcomes by analyzing the post-marketing surveillance data from the United States Food and Drug Administration Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience(MAUDE)database for commonly used FFR guidewires.METHODS The MAUDE database was queried from January 2010 through April 2020 for 3 FFR guidewires[PressureWireTM X(Abbott),CometTM(Boston Scientific),and VerrataTM(Philips)]by searching for the following events:“Injury”,“malfunction”,“death”,and“other”.This yielded 544 reports.After excluding incomplete reports,486 reports were analyzed.RESULTS Guidewire tip fracture was the most commonly reported mode of failure,in 174(35.8%)cases followed by guidewire kinking(n=152,31.3%),communication failure(n=141,29.0%),and shaft fracture(n=67,13.8%).In total,133(27.4%)device failures resulted in patient adverse events.The most common adverse event was retained guidewire tip,in 71(53.4%)cases,followed by freshly deployed stent dislodgment(n=26,19.6%)and coronary artery dissection(n=23,17.3%).Seven deaths were reported.CONCLUSION FFR guidewire failures can occur because of various mechanisms and cause patient adverse events.The MAUDE database serves as an important platform for improved collaboration among clinicians,device manufacturers,and regulators to improve device performance and optimize patient outcomes.Our analysis provides mechanistic insights of FFR guidewire failure and associated adverse events but cannot verify causality or provide a comparison among different guidewires.Nauman Khalid Yagya Pandey Umair Khalid Hassan Kamran Jason P Wermers Lovely Chhabra Mahboob Alam Hani Jneid Waleed Tallat Kayani 2021World Journal of Cardiology2021,13,7:0
13Acetylcholinesterase and Cytotoxic Activity of Chemical Constituents of Clutia lanceolata Leaves and its Molecular Docking Study显示文摘Phytochemical investigations of the ethanolic extract of leaves of Clutia lanceolata(Family:Euphorbiaceae)resulted in the isolation of four compounds viz.3,4-dihydroxy-2-methylbenzoic acid(1),2,20-dihydroxy-1,10-binaphthyl(2),1,3,8-trihydroxy-6-methylanthracene-9,10-dione(3)and 5-hydroxy-1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)hepta-1,4,6-trien-3-one(4).Although all the isolated compounds were known but this was the first report from this plant source.Their structures were established on the basis of chemical and physical evidences viz.elemental analysis,FT-IR,1 H-NMR,13CNMR and mass spectral analysis.Structure of compound 2 and 4 was further authenticated by single-crystal X-ray analysis and density functional theory calculations.The isolated compounds(1–4)were screened for AChE enzyme inhibition assay in which compound 3 and 4 were found to be more potent AChE inhibitor.Molecular docking study of potent AChE inhibitor was performed to find the probable binding mode of the compounds into the active site of receptor.Moreover,the isolated compounds were also screened for in vivo cytotoxicity by brine shrimp lethality assay.Mehtab Parveen Faheem Ahmad Ali Mohammed Malla Shaista Azaz Mahboob Alam Omer A.Basudan Manuela Ramos Silva Pedro S.Pereira Silva 2016Natural Products and Bioprospecting2016,6,6:0
