1Study on Surface and Bulk Properties of Ce-5 % Lanthanum Alloy显示文摘The surface and bulk properties of Ce-5% La were studied with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS)and X-ray diffraction (XRD), respectively.The XRD analysis shows that cerium in bulk is in γ-phase, and its lattice parameter is 0.516 nm.And we also find Ce2O3 in the bulk from the XRD figure but no existence of metal lanthanum because of its small quantity.The XPS analysis shows that there are always oxides existing in the surface.The O1s peak always exists at the binding energy of 530.3 eV, which may be attributed to Ce2O3 and La2O3, but no evidence was found for the existence of CeO2.It is concluded that there is a thick layer of Ce2O3 on the sample surface.And the Ce3d peak show multi-split in the figure, in which there are two peaks in each region, 3d5/2 and 3d3/2, and the binding energy of these peaks are 882.86, 887.70 eV for 3d5/2, and 901.44, 905.93 eV for 3d3/2.The special phenomena can be attributed to the changes of 4f electronic configuration, and the cerium in the sample exhibits properties similar to Ce2O3.But the influence of the addition of lanthanum to cerium is not visible, and further investigations are expected.Luo Lizhu Wang Xiaolin Fu Xiaoguo Zhang Yanzhi Zhao Zhengping Liu Chunrong 2004Journal of Rare Earths2004,22,z1:7
2Ferromagnetic and ferroelectric properties of Aurivillius phase Bi_9Fe_(4.7)Me_(0.3)Ti_3O_(27)(Me 5 Fe, Co, Ni, Mn)显示文摘New Aurivillius phase Bi9Fe4.7Me0.3Ti3O27(Me = Fe, Co, Ni, Mn) oxides have been prepared using a citrate combustion method. X-ray diffraction on powders and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy investigation confirmed that the Bi9Fe4.7Me0.3Ti3O27 samples are with an eight-layer structure. Both ferromagnetic and ferroelectric investigations suggested that Co or Ni substitution could enhance their multiferroic properties,while Mn substitution depressed them. Among all the samples, Bi9Fe4.7Co0.3Ti3O27 sample exhibits the largest remnant polarization of Pr*3.8 l C/cm2, and the largest remnant magnetization of Mr*0.06 lB/f.u. with a Curie temperature about 764 K, while the Bi9Fe4.7Ni0.3Ti3O27 sample has the largest spontaneous magnetization(0.26 lB/f.u.). 15Peak-Shaving of the Oxy-Fuel Power Plant Coupled with Liquid O_(2)Storage显示文摘Integrating a high proportion of intermittent renewable energy provides a solution for the higher peak-shaving capacity of coal-fired power plants.Oxy-fuel combustion is one of the most promising carbon reduction technologies for coal-fired power plants.This study has proposed a novel oxy-fuel power plant that is coupled with both liquid O_(2)storage and cold energy recovery systems in order to adapt to the peak-shaving requirements.The liquid O_(2)storage system uses cheap valley electricity to produce liquid O_(2)for a later use in the peak period to enhance the peak-shaving capacity.Meanwhile,the cold energy recovery system has been introduced to recover the physical latent energy during the phase change of liquid O_(2)to increase the power generation in the peak period.Technical economies of three power plants,i.e.a 330 MW(e)oxy-fuel power plant as reference(Case 1),the same power plant coupled with only liquid O_(2)storage system(Case 2),and the same power plant coupled with both liquid O_(2)storage and cold energy recovery systems(Case 3),have been analyzed and compared.Thermodynamic performance analysis indicates that the peaking capacity of Case 3 can reach the range of 106.03 to 294.22 MW(e),and the maximum peak-shaving coefficient can be as high as 2.77.Exergy analysis demonstrates that the gross exergy efficiency of Cases 2 and 3 reaches 32.18%and 33.57%,respectively,in the peak period,which are significantly higher than that of 26.70%in Case 1.Economic analysis shows that through selling the liquid O_(2)and liquid CO_(2),combined with carbon trading,the levelized cost of electricity(LCOE)of the three cases have been greatly reduced,with the lowest one of 30.90 USD/MWh shown in Case 3.For a comprehensive consideration,Case 3 can be considered a future reference of oxy-fuel power plant with the best thermodynamic and economic performance.FU Xuchen WU Jianwen SUN Zhenkun DUAN Yuanqiang GAO Zhengping DUAN Lunbo 2023Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,5:0

17Controlling of coordination state of Ru_(x)N_(y) clusters for efficient oxygen reduction electrocatalysis显示文摘Ruthenium(Ru)is an attractive potential alternative to platinum as an electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),in virtue of its high catalytic selectivity and relatively low price.In this work,a series of well-dispersed nitrogen-coordinated Ru-clusters on carbon black(Ru_(x)N_(y)/C)were prepared by pyrolyzing different Ru-containing sandwich compounds as the Ru sources.The higher thermal stability of these complexed sandwich precursors(bis(1,2,3,4,5-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)Ru(II)monomer,dichloro(p-cymene)Ru(II)dimer,and chloro(1,2,3,4,5-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)Ru(II)tetramer)affords the control of coordinated state for the resulting Ru-clusters,in comparison of that derived from ruthenium chlorides.After the pyrolysis treatment,the Ru coordinated state in Ru_(x)N_(y)/C,with the Ru–N and Ru–Ru bonds,still showed the structural inheritance from the Ru(II)monomer,dimer,and tetramer,but using ruthenium chlorides as the Ru source resulted in the nanoscale Ru agglomerations.The ORR testing exhibited that the Ru_(x)N_(y)/C sample derived from the Ru(II)tetramer(Ru_(x)N_(y)/C-T)presents the higher catalytic activity than the other obtained samples in either alkaline or acidic electrolytes.Even in the acidic electrolyte,Ru_(x)N_(y)/C-T shows the comparable ORR activity to that of Pt/C catalysts,and it shows the superior tolerance against methanol and CO.The X-ray absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations demonstrate that these tetra-nuclear Ru-clusters could be the most active site due to their broadened d-orbital bands and lower energy d-band center than those of other subnano species and nanocrystals,and their favorable Yeager-type adsorption of O_(2)-molecules is also contributed to promoting O–O bond cleavage and accelerating the ORR process.Weiyang Fu Yihuan Yu Tongtong Liu Yinliang Cao Zhengping Zhang Feng Wang 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
18Molecular-level proton acceptor boosts oxygen evolution catalysis to enable efficient industrial-scale water splitting显示文摘Industrial water splitting has long been suppressed by the sluggish kinetics of the oxygen evolution reaction(OER),which requires a catalyst to be efficient.Herein,we propose a molecular-level proton acceptor strategy to produce an efficient OER catalyst that can boost industrial-scale water splitting.Molecular-level phosphate(-PO_(4))group is introduced to modify the surface of PrBa_(0.5)Ca_(0.5)Co_(2)O_(5)+δ(PBCC).The achieved catalyst(PO_(4)-PBCC)exhibits significantly enhanced catalytic performance in alkaline media.Based on the X-ray absorption spectroscopy results and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,the PO_(4)on the surface,which is regarded as the Lewis base,is the key factor to overcome the kinetic limitation of the proton transfer process during the OER.The use of the catalyst in a membrane electrode assembly(MEA)is further evaluated for industrial-scale water splitting,and it only needs a low voltage of 1.66 V to achieve a large current density of 1 A cm^(-2).This work provides a new molecular-level strategy to develop highly efficient OER electrocatalysts for industrial applications.Yaobin Wang Qian Lu Xinlei Ge Feng Li Le Chen Zhihui Zhang Zhengping Fu Yalin Lu Yang Song Yunfei Bu 2024Green Energy & Environment2024,9,2:0

20Highly specific quantification of mRNA mutation in single cells based on RNase H cleavage-assisted reverse transcription(RT)-PCR显示文摘Accurate quantitation of site-specific mRNA mutation in single cells or in peripheral blood is of great significance for both biological and biomedical studies.How to eliminate the false-positive interference from the abundant normal mRNA is still a big challenge.Herein,we have proposed an LNA(locked nucleic acid)-assisted high-specificity strategy which can selectively guide the RNase H to cleave only the wildtype mRNA(wtRNA)while the mutant mRNA(mutRNA)will remain intact.The intact mutRNA can be amplified and detected by real-time reverse transcription(RT)-PCR but the disconnected wtRNA will be not replicated at all.Based on the highly selective depletion of wtRNA,this elegant design effectively avoids the false-positive interference from the high background of normal mRNA and thus can guarantee the accurate and reliable detection of rare mutRNA in real biomedical samples.Besides for the excellent specificity,ultrahigh sensitivity is also achieved for this proposed assay,which allows the quantification of mutRNA at single molecule and single cell level.Due to its easy design,high sensitivity and specificity,the established LNA probe-assisted RT-PCR strategy provides a powerful tool for studying the function of mutRNA at the single cell level and for the mutRNA-associated liquid biopsy.Dandan Yang Yuanyuan Sun Fu Chang Hui Tian Chenghui Liu Zhengping Li 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,5:0
